I think three might be the most fun, so, let's say Bode has himself a chance at redemption.
I'm thinking after Cal's and Bode's duel, right when Cal has lightsaber to Bode's throat and Kata asks her father to listen, he does.
But after what he's done, the Mantis crew doesn't trust Bode, doesn't want him around, but for Kata, they give him a chance.
He's not allowed to leave Tanalorr and he doesn't protest that. He's still not happy about Cal's idea to use the planet for the Path, and he's very likely not fond of the first refugees that come to live with them.
But after a while Bode seemingly accepts the situation, for Kata's sake. But the fear of the Empire still lives on in his mind.
Safe to say he's not very happy when Kata comes home one day to tell him Cal brought a certain rebel cell onto the planet.

I can't escape the realization that it would be so easy for the good, protective, unconditional love of a parent to be twisted by fear into something else. I think of what I would do if my world fell apart the way Bode's did, what would I do to keep my little beans safe?

Imagine this: After Jedha, Denvik sells out Bode to the Inquisitorius to save his own skin. So Bode comes home to Vader waiting in his living room. Meanwhile, Kata is hiding in a closet and has to watch her Dad get taken away. (And then later Cal shows up, all vengeful and angry, but all he finds is a traumatized little girl and Force Echos of Bode‘s rising panic as he gets taken away not knowing if Kata is safe or even alive)

Okay but seriously, what would a Merrical wedding look like?
I’m sure there are lots of different wedding traditions throughout the galaxy, but since neither of them come from cultures where that sort of thing is common I’d imagine they’d do something really simple and universal. (This is putting aside the question of whether they’d even feel a need to get married, that’s a separate discussion.)
What would they wear? I imagine Merrin maybe in a dress somewhat reminiscent of Padme’s wedding dress maybe? I’m not sure what Cal would wear, but you know our boy going weak at the knees seeing her dressed in white! 🥹🫶
Kata is the flower girl and Greez walks Merrin down the aisle? Oh, and BD-1 is the ring bearer!! And as I’ve stated before, their wedding dance needs to be the song Fields of Dusk.

Caij is female Cad Bane, change my mind. (Skinny Alien, Bounty Hunter, Big Hat, Rocket Boots, cowboy vibes) I‘m very mad that Caij is bugged in my game and I can‘t do the last five bounties and reach her bossfight.
