We should normalize being the average artist who never really goes viral and is happy in their lane creating for their own sake (be it commissions, or art for themselves).

The clout chaser mentality of all social media sites rotted our brain where we can't find value in our work unless it has a big number besides it.

Create for yourself, not to please some elusive algorithm that changes on a whim and pushes you back to square one.

when you're doing a counselling course and the diversity and ethics section asks you to talk about anti-discrimination laws and legal frameworks and you deep dive into reading the human rights act 1998, equality act 2010, and european convention on human rights 1950 because you get asked to talk about the key elements of these laws and anti-discrimination legislation and you end up writing 1k about them all except you probably just needed to write 300 words

sucks to be you assessor because that was my wheelhouse right fucking there

sometimes i wonder if i’m really a perfectionist and then i remember that i have an incredibly detailed marauders era timeline that has every full moon, prank, birthday, and any important music that was released down to the day just in case one day i want to write fanfiction for this god forsaken fandom.

People with arthritis ur f/o loves you!

People with epilepsy ur f/o loves you!

People with diabetes ur f/o loves you!

People with migraines ur f/o loves you!

People with chronic pain ur f/o loves you!

There is so many more, so many its so hard to name them all, but you are loved by your f/o. Even if you are disabled, not everyone "looks" disabled, but by god you are loved and cared for by your partner, keep going and love that fictional person.

I been watching studio vlogs and sketch with me's and honestly it feels like people literally go out of their way to make their sketchbook super nice and aesthetic.

There is nothing wrong with that as is, but also it sets up new artists and even seasoned ones to feel like they have to have nice sketchbook spreads and it can paralize people from actually doing shitty sketches in their sketchbooks.

Do whatever you can, don't feel like you must do this amazing, art gallery worthy piece in your sketchbook, it's there for you to goof around and explore your art! It's for you and only you, so go wild! A sketchbook is basically just there so you don't have a mess with loose paper.

And tbh if you really want something aesthetic, keep maybe a smaller/thinner one for planned out sketches that you would want to share with others and that's it.

Don't feel pressured to be perfect, because nobody else is, and they just "stage" everything they post to look nice and polished.

you decide to ignore theo’s jab. you’re much too focused on the delicious looking pastries and delicately crafted cakes and powdered sugar dusted treats to care about a silly nickname, no matter how affectionate it may be.

theo grabs your hand and tugs you up to the counter, a soft grin on his face that you almost miss. his grip is tender, even though a man like him seems so rough and oh, how you love him so, because he’s such a tease and such a hard worker and loves his brother and loves you and always does his best to protect you both, and he’s always putting his best foot forward and treating you so well and—

“what would you like?” he asks, and that's when you realize just how long you were probably zoned out, staring at him like he was the pastry you wanted from the menu.

oops.

the two of you place your orders and wait at a nearby table, with you occasionally kicking theo’s shoes and him kicking you back. you don’t know if he realizes it, but each time you kick him he smiles.

he’s adorable. you’re in love with him.

and that fact only becomes more clear when he scoops up your treats, handing you your order with a gentle smile on his face and a reminder not to drool over it.

you smack a kiss onto his cheek and thank him for taking you out, and you can tell it takes all of his restraint not to pull you close and kiss you the way he wants to.

you know him well enough to know he'll make up for it.
