Idk how to word it properly but Kai being the first one to figure out rising dragon technique feels so poetic to me. Like after getting kicked off of being the main character all the way back in season 1, this was his redemption moment from that. He used stuff he learned with his sister as a kid with no parents to help save the world and then sacrificed himself for it. It's all come full circle, you know?

Thinking about how the person Kai was in season 7 is just a little bit different than the person we see by season 8. Thinking about how it kinda feels like (to me) that he's finally calmed down a little bit. That the 'hotheadedness' that led him around by the hear for most of the series seems to have finally let up a little bit and let him breathe.

Thinking about how it seems like finding his parents and finally being able to make peace with that past part of his life did him a lot of good. It didn't completely change him as a person becasue that's just who he is, but something that had been hurting finally healed enough that he feels less like its something he has to be defined by (like how that was probably a lot of what motivated him to want to be the green ninja originally). How, despite his initial reservations (trying to stab his dad) he's the one who ended up being able to be on good terms with his and Nya's parents again.

I just have a lot of thoughts about the Smith/Jiang/Jiang-Smith family

Just a Little Something I Noticed - With Fire at His Right and Ice to His Left - Ninjago

In the scene from the first picture, Strength of the Earth and the Nunchucks of Lightning were actively used in battle while the final image Zane sees of the Green Ninja, before his dream wakes him up, is the first image shown - Fire at Lloyd's right hand, The Falcon (which represents Zane/Ice) at Lloyd's left hand.

In the scene from the second picture, Lloyd made the decision to sneak aboard the rocket so as to be able to keep the Overlord from getting the Golden Weapons. Kai and Zane immediately follow after Lloyd and boards the rocket. Cole and Jay on the other hand immediately reject Lloyd's idea and call it crazy. Lloyd ends up having to convince them and remind the two of their group promises to stay together in order to get them to climb aboard the rocket. While Lloyd is trying to get Cole and Jay to join the mission, Kai and Zane stand patiently behind Lloyd, their placement putting Kai at Lloyd's right hand and Zane at Lloyd's left hand.
