I think Price is a tummy man. Loves to kiss your stomach, grab it to pull you back into his thrusts, loves to see your shirt lift up a little when you reach for something on the top shelf. He's a provider, he likes knowing you're well fed, healthy, that he's providing for you. He likes his baby soft. Maybe he's a little old fashioned like that.
And Ghost likes thighs, he will not budge on this. Nothing you can say will change his mind that there's no better spot to lay his head, nothing softer he'd rather be between, and certainly nowhere better to mark up. Again it's the softness! He's got enough hard shit to deal with(wink) that he wants to have some softness with you. Let him be soft and needy and lay his head on your lap, he won't fall asleep this time he promises.

Thinking about the potential of Maddie knowing/suspecting for years and telling Buck as much. Thinking about Buck talking to Eddie and saying you know, she even told me I had a crush on you weeks after we met as a passing comment before immediately moving on. Thinking about Eddie having some sort of reaction to that comment in particular and not understanding why. Thinking about Buck not realising the enormity of it - and telling Eddie about it - until hours/days/weeks after their conversation.

For all that Dooku is a future Sith Lord with Daddy Issues and Rael Averross is a literal stack of rabid raccoons in an overcoat, I honestly think that those two are unrated as one of the genuinely most wholesome depictions of Master/Padawan mentorships that turn into healthy, adult friendship when they become peers.
They give each other constant shit; they have running inside jokes. Rael's a duelist just like his Master. (Doubling down on that first born son thing, huh Rael? 🥺) They back each other up on missions and stick up for each other in front of other Jedi. And the way they emotionally check in with each other!!! Rael corners Dooku about his empty nesting over Qui-Gon and urges him to take another Padawan because he knows Dooku is his best, most stable self when he’s teaching. Dooku offers to kill a bottle of liquor and cry it out together over Rael’s dead Padawan because he knows he’s isolating in his grief and feels responsible over what happened to Nim. Like… the acceptance and love these two very unconventional Jedi and people have for each other… the positive masculinity… the onscreen HUGS?!

Okay so I think what Hal and Barry like about each other (friends or ship) is that they bring out the ability to play in each other. Because thinking about it. A lot of what they get up to? Sure the stakes are high but they're also just. Easy with each other. They rib each other--and you almost never see Barry tease anyone like he teases Hal--and they come up with silly over the top solutions where they're bouncing off of each other's strengths. There's nothing malicious about their banter but they're also not trying to coddle each other either, because they know that their intentions are going to be understood. It's just play. And adults need that kind of dynamic. You need someone you can feel easy around.

thinking about how sherlock went from "don't write about the unsolved ones" to choosing to tell an unsolved case at john's wedding. because it's for john and through john that sherlock is able to take off that mask of being perfect, of knowing everything, of being a cold, calculating machine. how he went from "all that matters to me is the work" to "there was one feature of interest, and it was the usual–john watson" because it's john that brings out the human in sherlock. it's john. it's always john. he keeps him right.

"When one's never invited to speak one learns to observe". how surprising it is for alicent to find she shares something with larys! how horrible and disgusting to be as low as the crippled lord confessor! being queen means nothing if she's still the scared little girl.
Tumblr media
this entire scene is so delicious because you really can see larys' entire strategy changing from solely manipulating alicent to finding someone that might be more equal to him than anyone else. and being surprised too! there's a lot to say of larys /LARYS/ finding alicent someone so alike to him and deciding to "put her in a box" and maker ashamed of a part of her own body. LIKE HE IS. you are too perfect, i have to degrade you
Tumblr media
and alicent is sooo disgusted by him but still STILL inviting him over for ten years and finding in him a sympathetic ear to her woes, someone who understands her perhaps a bit too well. someone who isn't a man by westerosi standards, follows her lead and its harmless. in appearance
after larys murders his family and makes this show of power to alicent, making her beholden to him, it's when the conflict of their gender makes itself known. before, they were less than men, but now, he is just another man who's made alicent subjugate to his wishes and i think its why, more than the act itself of larys masturbating to feet, this conflict of a disabled man (not a person to the westerosi) dominating alicent is more disgusting to her. he can't force her in other typical ways. only in this new strange one more degrading to her by design.
it's the taking advantage of her that obviously makes alicent distrust him more. he took her words during an intimate dinner, yearning for her father, and twisted them to his own plans and tie her in a "inextricable bond of blood". it's an intimate betrayal akin to rhaenyra lying to alicent on her mother's grave.

Just thinking about how wild it is that both Winter and Qibli have masks that they hide behind. Winter is the perfect IceWing prince on the outside and he tries to be the perfect son his parents want while Qibli tries to be the perfect everything. Qibli’s main line of defense is to be what you want him to be. He’ll figure out the perfect thing to say or do and do it.
In the narrative Winter is forced to confront the facade he’s built around himself and acknowledge that, by living up to it, he is only hurting himself and those he cares about - but Qibli is never forced to confront that.
His overthinking is supposed to be a sign of his intelligence, instead of a symptom of his deep anxiety about being thrown away by those he loves. It must be absolutely awful to feel that you need to be constantly scheming in order for people to continue to love you.
I suppose the irony of it all is that Winter had the most obvious mask and yet he can’t help but be so genuine and vulnerable, and yet Qibli is all smoke and mirrors and that was never really acknowledged.

Little things about the mechs:
Ashes doesn't breathe. Not really: their metal lungs do their job, but there's no rise and fall of the chest, no inhale or exhale.
Brian's heart still beats. It's faint, but in a quiet moment, the dull thump thumping of it echos through his metal body.
In contrast, Jonny's mechanical heart ticks, ever so slightly. It's rare he sits still or quiet enough for others to notice, but even as he lies dead, there's that little clicking noise.
Yes, Nastya's blood is cold, but it's also heavy. Unless she's making an effort, her steps are louder than they should be. She can't jump as high as the others, either.
Ivy often feels like she's running a fever. Her brain, constantly running, makes her forehead warm to the touch.
Tim has a very wide peripheral vision. He can practically see behind him without turning his head - sneaking up on him is no small feat.
When standing, Raphaella leans forward, in order to compensate for the weight of the large wings on her back. As such, her posture often gives the impression of a bird about to take flight, and it's hard to be sure when she's about to dart off.
The Toy Soldier has a habit of adopting habits and mannerisms from people it meets. This is, for the most part, unconscious; it subtley alters its performance as its perception of what Being Real shifts moment by moment.
The joints in Marius' arm bend and turn more than they should. He sometimes accidentally flings his arm open wider than he intends, hitting what-or who-ever is next to him.

no one thinks about the kiryuus post canon as much as me. like what a horrific situation. nanami remaining in the house with her brother who she believes is no longer her brother, who she cannot trust or feel uncomplicated about anymore. touga, having accepted nanami’s rejection of him (because he doesn’t ever want to be around her— he just would be if it got him what he wanted) and just. having to live with the knowledge of what he’s done to her. and why. like thank god she’ll eventually work up the courage again to leave, and he won’t stop her that time, because Man. some people are like ‘i wish nanami found out the truth about their family’ to varying degrees (‘we are biological siblings!’ or even their parents’ abuse) but….. whilst i think nanami deserves to know the truth and would ultimately benefit from the clarity it would offer her, learning it would probably be more immediately dangerous and unhelpful for her. like, it’d rekindle that sense of obligation to and guilt for touga that she felt before, but with even more information stacking atop it to make it 1000x worse. like let these guys never speak to each other ever again or let them have one conversation about it in 10 years after copious amounts of therapy
