I drew a lot of NPCs in February (though I won't be sharing them all). Jorlan is a personal favorite of mine; he's an interesting character with a lot of potential, and I'm glad my party thought the same. He was fun to design! I imagine his hair was significantly damaged, and he had to chop quite a bit off.

And I just realized we never posted our models for the Velkynvelve drow captors, so here they are. (And hey, now we have an actual pointing pose for Ilvara!)
We like giving elves Pathfinder-esque eyes to set them apart from other humanoid races by making them a little creepy! We also think it'd be cool for drow freckles to be white like stars, so we did that.
We wanted to give the drow some sort of unique take on cosmetics, but since we don't know a whole lot about makeup we just bullshitted it. Men and women both wear it. Jorlan is not wearing any because he's ✨given up on life✨
Ilvara is meant to have makeup markings resembling spider eyes near her eyes to reflect her high ranking status under Lolth.
Jorlan and Shoor may share the same stat block, but we wanted them to look distinct; Jorlan is experienced, so his weapons and armor are more worn down. Shoor is new, so his are less battered.

Ghohlbrorn’s Lair, Gracklstugh
Before the door to the drow elves’ shared lodgings had fully shut, Fraeya pounced. “Okay, we’re alone now! Start talking. You came back—why?” she demanded.
Sarith took a deep breath. He’d known this conversation was coming for over a tenday, but that didn’t make it any easier. Instead, the foreknowledge had only caused him to stew. Even now, he debated just how much he was willing to reveal. Sarith knew better than to place trust in anyone. Never again. He had learned his lesson. It was just the way of the drow. But he felt further cornered with each passing reverie. Or rather, lack thereof. How long now had it been since he actually found rest?
The warrior had thought he was better off alone. He had thought he didn’t need the foolish individuals he’d escaped Velkynvelve with, but he was wrong. Someone needed to know the truth. The dreams had intensified. Sometimes, he could see the nightmarish visages with his waking eyes! And while he was too stubborn and proud to admit that he might be afraid…
Perhaps he couldn’t fully trust Fraeya. But Sarith could trust that she was unlike any other drow he’d met, save maybe one. And for now, that was enough.
