I was thinking about something that has me absolutely amazed. At the age of sixteen, Percy was willing to fall into Tartarus with Annabeth, knowing he was more than likely not going to be coming out alive. He was sixteen and he knew that he was never going to leave Annabeth’s side. I can’t even begin to imagine the complete and utter devotion you have to have for someone in order to sacrifice your life for them so that they don’t have to be alone. Every time I imagine Percy grabbing onto the ledge with one hand and onto Annabeth with the other, dangling over what they knew could very well be a bottomless pit, I can see the fear he must’ve felt, and yet he still refused to let go. He held onto a ragged edge and was probably in so much pain having to hold on, his fingers slipping, but he never once thought about letting go. It wasn’t an option for him. That’s how much he loved her, and it makes my heart pound a little bit each time I remember this

im posting about this on every fucking social media BECAUSE I CAN. THIS LIVE STREAM MADE ME THAT HAPPY.  guys, i am a 13 year old. the johns performed in my state, and town, indiana. the venue was 21+, and every other venue in states around me were either sold out or were happening too soon. at this point, i had no hope i’d ever see them. during their biggest, coolest tour. but i did, this live stream gave me what i couldve had. if this is the closest ill get to seeing them, then thats totally cool. because this show made me so happy. i clapped, i waved my arms, i snapped,  whistled, and during dr worm i jumped up and down in my room possibly waking up my family members. but i dont care because this show made me so, so, so happy. i had to take my inhaler 3 times during this show because of how excited and active i got. i yelled, and i screamed, and i whispered lyrics. it was amazing. i love the johns, the dans, marty, and curt SO much for what they do. this brings a small town girl with not much going on for her so much joy. i havent been this happy and content with life in 3 years. i cannot thank the johns enough.

there is a type of character that i feel was made specifically in a lab just for me and it’s female characters who have fallen in love with the worst possible dude to fall in love with. and they’re aware of this fact. they’re also aware that they could do so much better. but they don’t want to? so despite their better judgement and often in direct conflict with their other ideals and ambitions they show a remarkable amount of tenderness to a man who by all accounts does not deserve it. but who worships her for it anyway (and rightfully so)
