hey, can you drop some facts about ydkj hosts? like, any kind, any hosts. it seems like you know much about them.

Oh okay! I'll only drop a few because we'd be here all day otherwise, i donate a bunch of the facts i find to trivia sections on the Jackbox Fandom wiki because i REALLY love giving out facts to people! I mostly don't since i need actual sources so they don't get removed since most of them seem like vandalism when they are very much cannon.

Also, you're getting the others, because it's my blog god damn it!

Nate supports trans women, but not trans men.

Buzz is Anglophobic.

Guy is an extremist tree hugger to the point of hating anybody who cuts one down.

Cookie Masterson's favorite activity is putting his specs on because he loves it when he can see his players.

Schmitty is uncircumcised.

Octoputtz shows up in MSM as a portait and in concept art: even considered to show up as a bartender!

Greg is on parole.

You Don't Know Jack or YDKJ was an old Facebook browser and mobile game made sometime around 2012 by the company Jellyvision Games, aka the parent company of Jackbox. Yeah, THAT Jackbox.

From what we can gather, it's basically a beta version or preview of their later games, marketing itself as the most irreverent trivia game. Though since it's shutdown in 2015, it's become lost media.

So last month I talked to @artroidsart about doing up some logos for some of the commercials you hear during the end credits of "You Don't Know Jack." I put a lotta heart and effort into these because they may help me during my next step in the career timeline of mine.

(NOTES: The commercials are property of Jackbox Games, (also known as the former Jellyvision Games) And the character's look in the "Save the Aristocracy" message belongs to a picrew game named Alli. So just wanted to give them credit for their hard work.)

Yeah, I have both of them. I remember a friend saying their copy of Offline didn't have the instruction pamphlet (just the single piece of paper, weird)

I have the credits to Offline here, but I can scan the rest of it and L!F!F! within a day or so (L!F!F! has So many pages and getting them into a post will take a bit)

Headcanons? Absolutely! Buckle up, I've got a lot of them!

YDKJ Hosts:

Cookie is a BIG eater. It's a bad idea to leave a bunch of snacks in front of him because he will eat ALL of them if he isn't stopped. Schmitty has seen him devour an entire bag of chips in one sitting without batting an eye.

Schmitty uses his cane as a mobility aid. He has a bad balance, and the cane helps him stay stable. He's gotten better over the years since he used to need a wheelchair as a little kid.

Nate can ride a skateboard and perform a bunch of cool tricks. He's been able to teach Guy some techniques, but the other hosts have been less successful.

Guy enjoys a LOT of sports, but his go-to is basketball. He's probably the most fit out of the hosts. He tries to make sure the other hosts stay in shape too. (Looking at YOU, Cookie.)

Buzz is the youngest of the YDKJ hosts, something the others playfully tease him about. He's also the shortest, which doesn't help his case.

Cookie is confirmed Bisexual, Schmitty is Gay but went through a bi-denial phase, Guy is Pansexual, Nate is Bi, and Buzz is Asexual.

Schmitty WAS married to a girl named Sandy, but things didn't work out. It's implied Sandy was neglectful in their marriage, leaving Schmitty feeling ignored and unwanted. (This was during his bi-denial phase.)

Nate was a radio host during college, long before starting YDKJ. Now he has a podcast on the side.

Buzz collects a bunch of bee-related things. Bee plushies, bee figures, bee decor, and whatever else strikes his fancy.

Cookie and Schmitty were the ones to stick with Jellyvision, (which would turn into Jackbox Games). They all keep in touch and are all very close, but the others went to do other things. Guy works at a gym, Nate has a podcast, and Buzz got into programming.

Binjpipe ROYALLY messed them up. Cookie has trauma over being directly controlled, Nate was mentally altered into a paranoid conspiracy theorist for "Truth Talk 23/7", and Buzz worked feverishly to break them out. Schmitty is worried sick about everyone Binjpipe got her claws on, and Guy does his best to support and comfort Buzz and the others.

Weapons Drawn Hosts

Lord Tippet comes from Old Money, meaning his family has been rich for a LONG time.

His family has a lot of connections, including the Ham family ([REDACTED]'s family of the Murder Hotel)

Tippet and [REDACTED] have been family friends for many years, and Tippet is one of the few who know his true identity. (He doesn't know much about the whole murdering side of his bestie.)

He's easily spooked. Loud noises like lightning or slamming doors make him jump. He usually clings to someone when startled.

Tippet is the most DRAMATIC guy you will ever meet. Ya boi has a fainting couch at the ready.

The Narrator is a living manifestation of evil, specifically of murder. She's been around for a LONG time.

She's more powerful than Binjpipe or Felisha, but not as powerful as The Wheel of Enormous Proportions. There's a sliding scale of power for Jackbox entities.

As an entity of murder, she has an awareness of all killers, such as the detectives. Should she become interested in certain killers, she can easily learn whatever she wants about them. The Narrator can discover all their crimes without even being spotted.

Tippet and the Narrator have a love-hate relationship. He hates how much trouble she (indirectly) causes, and she enjoys teasing him (in a cosmic entity kind of way).

Episode 32 - Pupuce's Life

Finally, an episode where I won't have to say anything At All.

To extract some value from this ep despite how it is kinda boring, I will overanalyse this room now.

Firstly, Kerubim is so orphancoded. He's so old and sleeping on a bunk bed with no lower bunk.

I like to think that, in the orphanage, Kerubim and Atcham got into bloodied battles where they scratched the shit out of each other over who gets the top bunk, and due to not being hairless Kerubim always won and bullied him into sleeping on the lower one.

I like to think it was one of Atcham's many tragic backstories. Like that's when The Darkness truly began to grow.

I genuinely think it's fucked that Joris, at 7 years old, is sleeping in a cat bed. But also, that's not even one tenth of the most insanely evil things about their household.

They have so many potatos and so much bread... Heaven on earth.

Ever since I mentioned it in one of my earlier posts, I had wanted to elaborate just a bit on some other evidence for my headcanon (or, well, pretty-much-canon?) of Joris being a night owl, and this moment of Joris just blatantly oversleeping is as good time as any to bring it up:

We often see Joris awake at night, or staying up very late without any issues.

Perhaps, it is due to Kerubim himself often staying up late, and also due to, y'know, the child neglect that was probably happening before Simone, that he developed a circadian rhythm that has him being so okie-dokie staying up late.

I won't even point out that there's a random knife on the floor. I am fucking numb to the sheer neglect in this household by now. Kerubim could leave rat poison in Joris's bed and I would be like "oh that silly goofster!"

But I will point out that it seems that Kerubim often leaves Joris alone with Simone, and I will be real — in my heart of hearts I know that this fucker left Joris home alone since he was like four whenever he needed to do something. Or he'd be like "uhhh go across the street and sit at miss Julie's, brb" and be gone for hours. He probably left him home alone over overnight too. You can't tell me I'm wrong.

It would be out of character for him to get someone to actually babysit. Especially with how shit their home was.

"No, little pupuce, don't go into SCP-914!!"

"Oh mon dieu, c'est un scp full of evil clonen !"

Kerubim is insane. All these pictures of his ex, and none of his son. He really is insane.

I think Kerubim still draws, at least in some capacity. No other reason for there to be oil paints in their home.

Though perhaps Kerubim is into the idea of his son getting poisoned by expensive-ass professional-grade paint. Maybe he's just into that.

"ASTRUB CITY" repeated twice. + "Dofus Pets 2" (obviously.)

Also, jellyvision movie theatres are real. And so are traffic lights. Though I didn't bother screenshotting the second thing.

Oh this one is even better than that time we found out that someone at Ankama called a person named Emilie a bad word in this kids cartoon. You'll love this.

I'm sorry french person from 2013, but I've been translating this text with a huge grin on my face. You ARE the interesting find.

This ad is so beautiful. Thank you, Kerubim.

The man might pretend that he doesn't like Pupuces as a species all he wants, but his actions speak louder than his words. He's never beating the love allegations.

They are all so bad at taking photos... Also! This confirms that at least a Single photo of Joris, as well as Simone, is on a wall somewhere in the house. Big day for regaining belief in Kerubim's normalcy.

This says "ANNIV PUPUCE", which finally made me realize, that there are three champagne glasses on the table, one in Joris's hand, as well as some weird looking food with candles in it (probably pupuce's food?).

This changes EVERYTHING. Kerubim is no longer an evil fucking cat/enemy #1 of this blog. Kerubim has been forgiven.

Uuhhhhgh! Every time i open my Cookie Masterson reference folder: keep getting reminded of these killer designs i came up with for You Don’t Know Jack: Movies, Fibbage, Fibbage XL & Fibbage 2.

Like GOD! I need to draw my current Cookie design in these outfits again, because it sucks that i came up with these absolute banger designs and proceeded to draw Cookie in them only once! And yes, it was only for the drawings you see before you.
