oh you're in a horror film/book and your phone died/has no bars? how boring. I think phones in horror SHOULD work. they should ding only to have the protagonist check and find nothing. they should get calls from somebody you don't know but is still somehow in your contacts. google maps should lead you to one place, no matter what address you type in.

phones are such a big part of our daily lives, removing them from horror removes the horror from our experience. what if the horror felt like it could happen to you, right here, right now? what if it felt like it was already happening?

I see people occasionally hc Guy as the token het host which is so weird to me. He's obsessed with kissing everyone in a romantic or sexual way that either he's bi, or it loops back to overcompensation and he's ace.

Buzz does NOT hate Cookie the most of the hosts oh my god. If you pick one of the options for the Buzz Game question, Buzz invites Cookie to help out in the question. They have no beef!!! He was mad at Cookie because Cookie was a dick and Buzz got over it and focused more on hosting instead of stewing in his anger. Now Schmitty he could maim. He sounds so much madder talking to Schmitty during the Nate takeover audio.

Side note, Buzz being over average male height (5'9) feels wrong to me. And Guy being under 6'0. like cmon guys standards. Schmitty is canonically over 5'7 because he donates sperm btw. Anything shorter and I roll my eyes.

Schmookie is actually pretty one-sided. Schmitty is the one engaging with it, while Cookie more or less let's out a sigh and says "oh you!". The one where Schmitty yells that he loves Cookie- Cookie deflects. Schmitty aggressively tickling Cookie in the same question, also him telling Schmitty to knock it off playfully. The bit where Schmitty dreams about Cookie being naked in the booth and showering- both a dream and a dream that Schmitty had, so Cookie couldn't possibly be reciprocating feelings in that scene. Side note- so Schmitty knows what naked Cookie looks like? Ight.

None of the hosts are conventionally attractive, except for Guy who got that runner body or some other form, take your pick. Now Nate IS hot but not in a "perfectly flawless covergirl" way. He IS a failed actor if you follow the plotline in the Vol. 2 greenroom audios (which is why he returns for The Ride after temporarily moving to Cali)

The hosts are not a found family. They are co-workers. I'm pressed whether some of them are even friends.

happy late autism awareness day

thinking about the poll about canon vs non-canon ships that didn't define terms, and the current fandom focus on things "going canon," so i made up a scale.

this is NOT a question about whether canon matters to what you ship (or matters at all), just how to define the phrase "canon ship."

many ships start low on the scale and slow burn their way up, so vote for the point when you would have called them "canon." i agonized over the order (especially #4-6) for a day and a half, but i went with the order in which i think joe random with a nielsen ratings box and no tumblr account would notice/call something a romantic relationship.
