Avery headcannons
just some Avery hcs that’s been sitting on my notes for too long 🤷‍♀️
Clumsy af
She has a nice singing voice, very melodic and sweet. Sings like a Disney princess even though she doesn’t like to show off
Scrunches her nose a lot, when she laughs, embarrassed, shy, especially when Jameson flirts with her
She’s very flexible and quite stealthy
With that said, she’s not very athletic and her stamina isn’t good
Would often get hit in the head during dodgeball for standing still
She rarely screams but when she does, it’s very high pitched
Lived off of cheap ramen
Has a high spice tolerance
Would lock herself in one of the cars whenever she’s overwhelmed
She had the Whole security team searching for her for hours when she was just napping in her van
She owns a lot of plushies in her room
Jameson makes her laugh the most

I remember being in a dilemma when I was reading an AveryJameson scene in THL, in which they had just found the cipher disk in Toby's room.
Avery was sitting at a desk, decoding the cipher disk, and Jameson had both hands on the desk (on either side of her) which meant that his body was pretty close to hers.
And when she wanted to stand, she pushed the chair back into him.
😭😭😭
I was torn between feeling bad for him (bc it must've hurt real bad) and laughing at him (bc Avery was girlbossing).

cheers to @aaal-iz-well for requesting something jamieee~!!
*****************************************************
Jameson Hawthorne found it hard to believe he had fallen in love before.
He had. Of course he had. He'd fallen in love multiple times.
He had, hadn't he?
He struggled to believe he had fallen in love before Avery.
Something about Avery was different. Something about Avery was special.
She made falling in love into a thrilling ride, almost like the rush of a rollercoaster. She understood him, challenged him, became part of him.
Love had became something dangerous, exciting and exhilarating with Avery.
The more he thought about it, the more the word "love" didn't really cover the phenomenon. It was something beautiful but scarred, something delicate but strong, something Avery but Jameson.
He would sometimes stare at her, and just admire.
Admire the way his heart skipped a beat, or how she smirked at him after she'd won chess, a smile only reserved for him.
Oh, how Avery Kylie Grambs played the best game to his heart.
And then there was kissing.
So much kissing.
He'd kiss her so, so, so hard and feel so, so, so alive.
Alive. Yes, alive.
He was finally alive.
As she breathed life into him, he could only think two things.
Love with his Heiress was a sensation; it was a riddle finally answered.
Before her...
No, that wasn't love.
That was just a feeling.

~The Glass Ballerina's Reputation~
CHAPTER 1- ...Ready for it?
AO3 LINK
Fic synopsis:
averyjameson!mafia AU
After Avery's mother's death, she is left with many questions. What happened to her mother's family? Who were they? Why did her mother never talk about them? Why did Jameson Winchester Hawthorne appear in her life? ...What is her mother's secret?
~~~
When Avery was a kid, her mom was constantly inventing games. Not your average games like Hide-And-Seek or Tag. They were always small tests, a competition. Once they’d played the Who-Can-Stack-The-Most-Pancakes or Who-Could-Build-The-Tallest-Tower-of-Cards. There was always something to find, something to figure out- something to fix or something to take apart. A challenge. The rush of excitement and the thrill that came with success is what made Avery feel alive.
The last game her mother had made for her was the Don’t-You-Dare-Miss-Me game, where she sent Avery on a challenge to find a mysterious item. It was the longest game yet, suspiciously so. When her mom gave her such complicated games, like that one time she made Avery an escape room, she’d leave little clues that would confirm she was on the right track. Yet this game had been completely devoid of all that. All she was told was to find “where the heart feels whole”.
There was only one possible answer to that. Home. Not their little apartment, no. The antique shop her mother owned, right under where they lived. That’s where they felt at home. Each of the little trinkets they received from donations or found had a story behind them. Sometimes, when she couldn’t sleep, Avery would sneak downstairs to the antique shop and try to guess the object’s history. Once they’d received one of those old vintage desks, the ones that had even more shelves on top of the tabletop itself, and a bunch of hidden compartments everywhere. It even had its very own built in gas lamp. She could vividly imagine the original owner sitting at it, working with a quill and a pot of ink, furrowing his brow in concentration or struggle. It was objects like these that had a meaning, that were valued and cherished. They had stories.
When she’d entered the shop, she didn’t find any clue to indicate she was on the right track. The place had felt strange without her mother there ever since she’d been hospitalized.
Avery searched high and low. Nothing. Finally, she went to a relatively small room behind the counter and pushed open the door. There was a fireplace. It had been there ever since her mom had rented this place, but it didn’t work. Sometimes they’d bring chairs and sit around it, pretending it worked. Their home. That’s when her mom told her stories about who she was before she had Avery. About  Ricky. About a secret lover. Not once did she ever mention her family.
For Avery, home was where her mom was. Family.
She immediately noticed that one of the wood planks of the flooring was askew. She slipped her fingers beneath it, blindly feeling around for something. Sure enough, she felt it. A paper with a phone number. Libby Grambs, it read, above the string of numbers.
By the time Avery made it back to the hospital, the heart monitor wasn’t beeping with that annoying yet reassuring ding. The bleak room was even more uneasily silent, devoid of life.
It was at that moment that Avery decided to never play again.
“I thought you promised to stay away from him, Lib.”
Avery was tired of watching Libby dust the antique shop over and over again, hobbling around with her black eye and bumping into everything. There were two things Libby always did when she had something on her mind- she either bakes a bunch of cupcakes that Avery would have no choice but stuff herself with later or dusts the antique shop until even the antiques themselves looked brand new.
“I couldn’t help it, Ave. He… he called me and said sorry and that he wanted to meet up.”
Avery rolled her eyes and tapped on the cash register in anger, though holding back from crushing the keys. They definitely couldn’t afford another one unless one of them suddenly married some rich man.
It was always the same story. Libby did or said something Drake didn’t like. Then he’d hit her. Only once, but it was already too much. Then he’d apologize and do his usual speech, and Libby would forgive him.
“This is the seventh time you’ve broken up with him,” she spat at her sister. “Make it be the last.”
Libby nearly knocked over another vintage jewelry box. “I can’t help it.” She ducked down to steady the box, probably already thinking about what types of cupcakes she was going to bake this time.
“How about you go and flip the OPEN sign outside? We should close up. I doubt we’re going to get any more customers at this hour.”
Libby nodded and went to the front door. Just as she was going out, she slammed straight into a man who had just opened the door to come inside.
“Oh my gosh I am so sorry I didn’t mean to–”
Avery glanced over while her sister started rambling away. A man with ashy brown hair and a cowboy hat was helping her sister up in a gentlemanly manner. He had matching cowboy boots, too. He looked… quite odd, honestly. Dressed as both a cowboy and in a fancy way at once. She couldn’t tell if he was some rich guy mocking cowboys or just a desperate wannabe. His skin glowed a beautiful tan, though Avery was skeptical as to whether it was real or not. These days bronzing drops were all the rage.
“Be careful, darlin’,” the handsome stranger said to her sister, whose blush seemed very visible because of her pale skin, looking at him as though he was a heaven-sent messenger offering tickets to paradise. She was so red even her blue roots seemed to be turning purplish.
Libby shyly thanks him and practically runs out the door, red-faced. The stranger’s gaze follows her curiously, and then he picked up an item that had fallen off a nearby shelf when he’d bumped into her. He then turned around and headed for the counter.
“The name’s Nash.” He glanced out at the sign Libby was flipping outside that now read ‘CLOSED’. “Well, mind if I take a look around even though you seem to be closing up? I promise I won’t take long.”
Avery nodded, watching him as he wandered around the little shop, his boots clicking rhythmically. He stopped at a particular shelf and picked up a knife, flipping it over in his large palm. It had patterns engraved onto the blade and a gem encrusted hilt, one of the more expensive items the shop had to sell lately.
“I’ll buy it,” he said, looking back up. The strange cowboy came and placed it on the counter, pulling out a shiny black card.
“Is that your sister?” he asked as she rummaged around, trying to find the magnetic stripe reader. Customers didn’t usually arrive waving around a fancy card.
“Yeah.” Avery paused, looking at him suspiciously. “Why do you ask?”
Nash raised an eyebrow playfully. “Ever heard of genuine, well intentioned romantic interest, kid?” he said, a slight southern accent dragging out some vowels and adding an atypical rhythm to his speech. Was that real, too? “What’s her name?”
“Libby. And stay far, far away from her,” she warned as she handed him the receipt and the knife. ‘Nash’ gave her a grin.
“Farewell, little miss. I’ll make sure to come around again, and maybe I’ll have my brothers tag along next time.” With that, he tipped his cowboy hat at her and winked, then turned around to walk out. Avery glared at him through the store’s glass door as he chatted away with Libby outside.
Her fists tightened on the edges of the countertop; fragments of their yapping being heard through the open window. Libby did not need another act to her tragic love life. Drake was already more than enough.
Sure, this guy looked nicer, but you could never know for sure. Drake had looked handsome and calm at first, too.
Avery rubbed her temples, trying to soothe the already forming headache as Libby burst back into the store, blabbing away.
“Avery, isn’t he so dreamy? I never liked cowboys but…”
Someone kill me now.
Heyy I've got a fic request- Avery randomly remembers her ancient pontiac and tells Jameson about how her mom gave it to her. So he gets it back somehow and fixes it and takes her on a ride and she starts crying <33 💔
OMG HELP I GOT THIS REQUEST LAST MONTH BUT IVE BEEN IN THE BIGGEST SLUMP EVERRR IM SO SORRY 😭😭
but here you go!! 💗
Jameson laid back on the floor, letting the tools in his hand fall to the ground with a clatter. 2 months ago, Avery had told him about her ancient Pontiac, which her mother had given her before she passed, and it hadn’t left his mind. So, a week later he decided that for their 2 year anniversary, he was going to fix it and give it to her. It was difficult, of course, and Jameson wasn’t even sure if the car was still in one piece, or if it had been scrapped, but he was up for a challenge. Eventually, after tracking down every car dealer in New Castle, he found a run down garage which was owned by an old fella named Walter. Jameson was lucky he had came when he had, because Walter was about to sell the car for parts. He struck up a deal for a lot more than that car was worth, and brought it back to Hawthorne House to fix it. It took a month and a half of meticulously working every day, and somehow keeping it hidden from Avery, when today he finally finished. Jameson stood up, wiping the dust and grease from his hands onto his pants, and examined the car. Pontiacs weren’t exactly Jameson style, as he was sure it wasn’t Averys either, but it wasn’t about what the car looked like. It was about what the car meant to her. And if Avery wanted an almost falling apart car that seriously needed to be put down, then she was going to get one.
——————————————————————————
“A helicopter ride, archery, hot air balloons, watching the sunset on the beach…” Avery trailed off, her head on Jameson’s chest.
“Don’t forget the ice sculpting challenge.” He added, a smile playing on his lips. Avery huffed.
“I still think I won that. Your dolphin looked more like a whale.” She said. Jameson laughed.
“What’s the difference anyway?” Avery snickered, and although Jameson wanted her to keep lying on her chest as they watched the twinkling night sky, her big surprise had not yet been revealed.
“Avery…” He trailed off, sitting up. Avery sat up too, meeting his eyes. Jameson wanted to get lost in them and never come back. “I may have one last surprise.” She quirked a brow.
“Like what?” She said, a sly smile playing on her face. Jameson couldn’t help but smile back as he pulled her to her feet, and took her hand. He led her to the garage, although the car had been in the giant storage room before he took it out, and put his hands over her eyes.
“I’m going to see it anyway, Jameson.” She said, with a playful huff. Jamesons smile grew.
“I know. But I want the surprise to last longer. I’ll tell you when you can look.” If her eyes weren’t covered, I’m sure Avery would have rolled them, but instead she just nodded and followed him. He opened the garage door before leading her inside.
“Are you ready?” He asked her. There was only one moment of hesitation before she spoke.
“Yes.” Her voice was sure and confident, and just from that Jameson could feel himself falling in love with her a million times over again. He removed his hands from over her eyes and heard her physically gasp as she stared at the car in front of her. There was silence, as she slowly walked towards the car and let go of Jamesons hand, and Jameson didn’t have to see her face to know she was shocked.
“Jameson…” She said, trailing off as her hand brushed the cars surface. Jameson just stared at her as he waited for her to say something else. Anything else. “How did you find this?” Her voice was full of disbelief and awe. Jameson smiled.
“Well it was difficult, as I didn’t know if the car was even still in one piece, but I eventually found it.” He said. Avery turned around to look at him, and Jameson saw tears in her eyes. Immediately, his heart stopped. Had he done something wrong?
“Jameson.” She said, the tears now starting to slip down her cheek. Jameson immediately backtracked.
“Oh Avery, I’m so sorry. Did you not want to see it again because it reminded you of your mother? I’m seriously sorry Heiress, I didn’t know-“ He started apologizing, but Avery cut him off.
“No!” She said, putting her hands out. Jameson paused. She brought them back to her sides and smiled. “It’s just… this is the best gift that anyone’s ever given me. I always wondered what happened to this car, and now you fixed it for me? Jameson.” She said, her voice breaking on the last part as she rushed over to him and brought his lips to hers. Jameson felt the blood rush back into his face as he kissed her back, wondering how he got so lucky. Eventually they separated, and Avery held his face in her hands.
“Thank you.” She said, tears running down her cheeks. Jameson wiped them away individually with his thumb, before speaking.
“Of course. But, Heiress, how can you like the car when you haven’t even driven it yet?” He said, a smile playing on his face. Averys eyes widen.
“You mean, the cars not too old to drive it?” She asked, raising a brow as a grin overtook his face. Her smile made his stomach twist.
“Well, it was,” He said, grinning himself and reaching into his pocket, pulling out a pair of car keys. “Before I fixed it.” He held the keys out for Avery to take, and met her eyes. She stared into his eyes for 3 seconds before grabbing the keys and his hand, and speaking.
“Let’s do it.”
Avery drove the car out of the garage and onto the racing track, but slowly, in case the car couldn’t handle it.
“Oh, cmon,” Jameson said, once they were on the track. “Can’t you speed up?” Avery face was still full of disbelief, and when she laughed it was breathy.
“You sure?” She asks. Was he sure the car was safe? Well, yes, since he’d updated all of the gear and made sure everything was working fine. He gently took her chin in his hand.
“I’m sure.” He said, softly. She held his eyes, before nodding and putting her hands back on the wheel. Without a warning, Avery suddenly speeds up and starts driving faster than Jameson thought she would at first. A grin overtook his face as she drove faster and faster, as if testing the cars limits. She drove, again and again around the track without saying a word. Then, suddenly, a sob rattled her chest as she slowed down and pulled over on the side of the track. Jameson leaned closer to her too see if she was okay.
“Avery? What’s-“ He was about to finish, but she cut him off.
“Thank you.” She said, tears streaming down her face.
“You don’t know how much this means to me. It almost feels like my mom is still alive, and taking me out for a test drive in my brand new car.” She said, sniffing and laughing sadly. Jameson smiled back, and kissed her nose.
“You’re welcome, Heiress. But just for the record, I think I have to ask….” He said, taking her hands in his. “Was your mom a fan of fast cars?” Jameson placed her hands back on the wheel, and held his own over them. Avery stared at his hands on hers before turning to him, tears still in her eyes. She was luminous, absolutely beautiful and brilliant in every way, and then she was smiling. To make matters worse for Jamesons heart, she raised a brow, and that little movement made his heart race.
“Are you challenging me, mystery boy?” She asked. Jameson gave her one of his winning smirks, before bringing his face close to hers. It looked like he was about to kiss her, before he brings his mouth to her ear instead.
“Guess.”
If the Inheritance Games characters had social media…
this idea is random, yes, but it came to me at like 2am last night and idc if you don’t like it <3
Jameson would make thirst traps on TikTok and everyone would loose their minds
Alternatively, Jameson makes POV TikToks that are hilarious and cringey, yet you’re invested
Libby posts the cutest little baking videos ever! (I’m very enthusiastic about this one)
Xander posts the most random crap you’ve ever seen on a social media page. He will post any dumbass thought that comes to his silly little brain.
Grayson doesn’t use social media often but when he does, it’s usually just a picture or two of cool places, events, people, etc.
Jameson, Xander, and Nash are always kinda ‘flexing’ their gfs on social media. Not in a toxic or creepy way, but more in a ‘haha my gf is so amazing I’m so in love’ kinda way.
Max and Avery start a podcast and post videos from their podcast.
Nash doesn’t usually post dances or anything, typically just cool or generally interesting stuff, but when texas hold’ em got popular, he danced his little cowboy heart out
Avery posts the most absurd ‘get ready with me’ videos. They can go from a date with Jameson to a trip to the White House and either way, no average american can relate to it🥲.
The entire group posts a lot of videos together doing fun stuff, talking, etc. A lot of collabs take place and people absolutely eat it up.
Xander will post the occasional prank video on his brothers.
that’s all I got, I’ve got a bit of a creative block recently, byeee!
Hi. Could you write relationship headcanons about averyjameson?
sure thing heh~!! 🍳
˖ ⊹˚.【 avery + jameson headcanons 】♡.𖥔 ݁ ˖
Avery's makeup artists doesn't allow Jameson to be around the Heiress while she's getting ready for an event eh hem that one scene in Brothers Hawthorne because Jameson's either staring at Avery seductively or trying to kiss her when he hopes no one is looking
^^ Jameson is also the kind of boyfriend who helps Avery undress, slowly at first, but then scraps because he's an impatient asf , then rips the clothes off.
In the early stages of their relationship, they weren't enthusiastic on PDA (cause all the cameras ykyk), but now the couple Jameson's like, "who gives a shit about what the cameras think" and literally makes out with Avery carelessly (she tries to stop it but she can't. He's a Hawthorne, and Hawthorne's never lose).
They both like intense french and neck kisses. Especially in cramped places. Against walls. not jameson being possessive asf
Jameson likes to casually buy expensive things for Avery
When Jameson's upset, Avery just let him kiss her or talk to her or play with her hair. She understands that she's his stress-release.
