Frisbee Man - Goes to the ER often due to his misplaced frisbee, has no insurance
Pok Gukgak - Undercover angel, attentive husband, doting father, rests in peace now that his death is avenged

Peppermint Preston - Just a little pig who loves Liam and wants to fly, died in an attempt to protect Lapin. May he rest in peace.

ok this is my super cool epic BAD KIDS PIRATE AU:
- Set about a century earlier than fh so we're talking Victorian era solace
- Bill Seacaster decided to stay on leviathan and become basically a Jamina Joy figure due to Solace's crime forgiveness policy not existing yet
- Leviathan is almost an urban legend, a place for runaways, outcasts and criminals who want to escape from society and are willing to turn to desperate measures to do so
FABIAN:
- grew up on Leviathan and has never lived anywhere else
- a well-known figure in the city mainly due to his father's status
- trying to find his own name in the world and be known as more than just the son of someone great
- very skilled fencer due to his mothers (and cathildas) training
FIG:
- daughter of an important member of the royal guard (Sandra-Lynn) and a member of the Fallinel court (Gilear)
- discovered that she was a tiefling and her family was immediately in disgrace
- her anger at her parents and at the way she was now being treated led her to run away and find Leviathan with Adaine
- the only person she told her location to was Gilear
- has always wanted to be a performer and is now using that to help channel her magic
ADAINE:
- daughter of Elven Nobles in Falinell
- has been friends with Fig since a young age
- was always less favoured by her family due to being the second born child and therefore not as important
- talented diviner and practical caster, finds comfort in practicing magic (and in the library/books) because it's hers and she's not judged doing it that way
- her parents refused to let her associate with fig after her horns came in but fig found a way of letting her know her plans to run away and adaine came with her
- they run away to leviathan together and never look back to Fallinel
GORGUG:
- was abandoned as a baby, however the box he was left in was accidentally picked up during a pirate raid and he was brought back to leviathan
- was taken in by the thistlesprings, who were inventors and mechanics that helped keep the ship in good shape
- never really got the hang of tinkering, though he tried his best
- grew up basically just helping out around the city and doing busywork due to his abnormal strength
- met Fabian when they were about 11-12 and became good friends
- eventually met bill who saw the promise of a formidable fighter in him and put him on the path to becoming a barbarian
RIZ:
- grew up in Bastion City, he's basically like one of those kids from Oliver except he has parent's they're just working all the time trying to earn enough to survive so he's stealing what he can to help
- when his dad died it a lot extra pressure on his mum and she had to start working even more
- they get kicked out of their house when Riz is 15, and his mum convinced him to go and find Leviathan because it'll be a better life for him than she can provide
- he reluctantly does and he finds his way there
- he tries to steal some gold from Bill Seacaster before he really has a chance to know who he is and he almost gets away with it
- bill is impressed and introduces him to Fabian and Gorgug because they "need a rogue and this one's not too shabby"
- Riz has no choice in this because he did just steal from Bill Seacaster and he's being given a rare mercy
KRISTEN:
- chosen for Helio, pushed to be an important member of the church from a very young age
- develops magical abilities, these are seen to be Of Helio so she's celebrated for them
- eventually discovers that by being "chosen" she's basically been destined as a martyr
- has an existential and religious crisis about this
- meets tracker who escaped the church about a year prior and who helps her realise all the flaws of the church
- tracker helps her to get away and they find leviathan together
That's the basic shit I have so far, the gist of the AU is they all get assembled as a crew by Bill and they get sent on missions and shit together and do bad kids stuff :>

Oh no, oh no. Old young Benjamin took off, the unnamed warlock took off, Chungle-down Bim is demoralized and threatening to make Fabian's toilet a mouth, and Alistair just rolled a nat 1 trying to grapple Captain James.
Fig is disguised as Jamina Joy flying through the air with a dislocated soldier -- rolling on quadruple disadvantage and Gorgug just took five damage for asking if he could help.
I know I've been this scared for the bad kids before but I don't see how Fabian makes it through this one

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)
sfjkvnksjfbs this is so difficult bc i feel like so much of what i write is impossibly niche and only for myself and a handful of my friends skjfvnsk so i have no idea what an effective introduction to my body of work would be. my figayda coffeeshop au, maybe? just because i think it's really solid and a good demonstration of my narrative style/rhythm? alternately, my figfabian lounge singer au for similar reasons? i dunno ksjfnksjf
honorable mention jamie @gilears and my 2nd pov figgorgug fic we wrote last year bc its some of my favorite and best work and one of the things i've most enjoyed writing-- and i think it's a really solid hook into figgorgug, which i have not been able to stop writing since kjsfnbvksfjbn
14. Are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer?
i really only read oc-heavy if i really trust the author!! as a genre/style of fic they don't usually hold a lot of appeal for me unless i know the person writing it/ the backstory and process of the oc/ trust the author to build and integrate appropriate and interesting ocs (a really great example of this is santeri @fearlessjournalism 's brushfire, and also casey all of your clsoc fic <3)
24. Are there any easter eggs in [insert fic], and if so, what are they?
idk if it's really an easter egg but jam and i have a running joke about a handful of beats/moments i keep putting into my figgorgug fics, with varying amounts of intention; including but not limited to: diners, pancakes, (fig) sitting on counters/tables, sunflowers, stolen clothes/sweatshirts, and kissing hands <3

i was looking around through the zuko/sokka tag and read a modern nye get together fic and it was. fine. readable but not something i'd bookmark or send to people like "oooh i really liked this"

working on a fig/gorgug right person wrong time fic rn 😵💫 having many thoughts in my silly little head about it <3
There’s something rotting inside of her. Fig’s always been a little on the wrong side of selfish; Sandra Lynn says she gets it from her, but maybe it’s the hell influence too. She wants to be happy for her friends, the freedom from Aguefort and school and childhood thats burning on the horizon for all of them. A whole class of peers ready to stumble forward into the real world all together- college and work and more adventures and quests ready for the taking. Fig wants to be happy, wants to glow with a vicarious joy when Fabian talks about learning specialty knots and sending letters to Garthy and Jamina on the Leviathan. Or when Riz rolls out his conspiracy board and talks through it to them with tapping fingers that itch to get back on the road- with Penny, this time. Fig wants to join in on the excitement when Gorgug and Kristen make plans for finding a cafe on campus that’s theirs and trying to convince the dorms to let them room together. But she’s not. Because Fig can’t help but feel like everyone’s moving on without her. Like it’s the last weeks of eighth grade all over again and her horns are finally getting too big to be covered by her hair and all her (ex) friends have stopped pretending to make plans for the summer or for freshman year with Fig, anymore. The Bad Kids have been Fig’s roots, and her wings, and all the other metaphors she’s shoved into her songs all these years, and she doesn’t really know what she’s going to do with herself without them. Now that it feels like they’re all going their separate ways, with no school year starting in the fall to drag them back together. It’s just Fig, and the band she started because she wanted to scream and hear Gorgug slam on the drums- only this time it’s really just Fig.
