Something I’ve noticed if you’re a hare therian, a rabbit therian, any sort of lagomorph therian or just a therian with big ol thumpers — wear boots (if it’s comfortable)!! Stomping them on the ground and making the thud noise can replicate thumping behavior, or just give you louder footsteps if you’re a bigger creature!

Hi! This is my first post on my new blog! :3

I'm not new to tumblr, but this is my first time om my new account after I deleted the other years ago due to hate and threats. Please be civil.

Hi, I'm Nile and I often cycle through many different kintypes. As someone who is very connected to the earth, I cross paths with many animal spirits, of this world and not. Some stay with me for a long time, and some keep returning. Shifts can get very confusing and spiritually or even physically painful to me if I shift into multiple animals at once, especially ones with a natural predator-prey relationship. Thankfully most of my shifts are only into one animal.

I do not shit in a litterbox, nor do I eat dog food or bark at people. I think zoophiles are disgusting animal abusers who should be locked up.

I recognize that my body is and will always be human no matter how it feels during a shift.Sometimes my shifts are weak where I am not a human. Sometimes my shifts are strong where I am a ~6 month old female jackrabbit.

If you are genuinely curious about my experience as an otherkin/therian, you can ask me anything as long as it is relevant and not extremely inappropriate, rude, or disgusting.

A follow-up post describing my Omnitherian experience

Hi all. I'm glad you guys seem to like Omnitherian. Initially I thought that it would be kinda overlooked. But I am so glad people resonate with the term. It's nice knowing that you aren't alone!

Anyways. I thought I could follow up on the coining post by describing my personal journey that lead up to me identifying as all animals. Perhaps it will help others who might be questioning such an identity.

Honestly, I haven't been identifying as a therian for very long. I found the community in January of 2022 after I became aware of my feelings of being an animal. Ever since I've been learning the terminology, reading individuals' experiences and figuring out what I am.

At first, figuring out my theriotypes was a stressful experience. I would be constantly writing things down, scratching off ideas, really deeply analyzing the whole thing. I've went from jackrabbit, to horse, to wolf, to many other things. Nothing on its own felt quite right. It seemed as if every time I looked at a picture of an animal, I would think "That's me." Doesn't that seem a little intimidating?

Eventually I just gave up. I began focusing on my angel identity (which I may talk about some other time) as it was a bit more grounded. But I still felt such a strong connection to each animal I saw. I just decided to brush it off as my autism and nonhumanity making me more drawn to animals. But deep down I knew it ran deeper than that.

Eventually I revisited my connection to animals, and tried on the label of polymorph. It's a beautiful, broad label that could encompass many things. However, I realized that I am not a polymorph. I don't change forms, or cycle through different animals, or anything like that. I am multiple animals at once! No- I am every animal at the same time!

It was a sudden realization, but it's one that has stuck with me. That's it. I'm not just a jackrabbit, or a horse, or a wolf. I am all of those and more. I do feel stronger connections to those animals in particular, but I get the same feelings from looking at a bug on the window, a roadrunner crossing the highway, or a lamb sitting in a field. They are all me.

Is that not a special experience? Sometimes it can get a little overwhelming, though. Imagine going to the zoo and all you see is you. It's both very fun, but also quite nerve-wracking! My experience being Omnitherian is like being in a mirror house. Each mirror shows you in a different way. I guess that's a good way to put it. It definitely is an amazing thing to know and accept.

I guess that's all I feel like writing for now. Hopefully it was enlightening to read, if my wording on the coining post was odd. If you have any questions about my omnitherian experience, or my alterhuman experience in general, feel free to ask and I will answer to the best of my abilities! Thank you so much.

I'm a Jackrabbit specifically, Dama's a Fallow Deer, Yakov is varyingly like sheep/Weasel/Vulture, Octave is pretty firmly a wolf with Deer Traits (Antlers, mostly), Rute's a lot of things but mostly alternates between Maned Wolf, Fox and Wild Boar, Maksim is pretty firmly a Wolf because she's a werewolf, Way is a Swan, the rarely seen Feli is one of those Blue Praying Mantids, Sophie and Olya are both Foxes at their core, Jane is bugs in general but she's got a soft spot for Moths (To the point where her video game aliases are usually named Moth)

Gyro hasn't fronted in years but has stated he's a Falcon therian maybe, Peter has fronted rarely and says his fursona is a Pronghorn

hey- im west and i’m 21 years old- this is my therian blog. please use he/it pronouns for me. i follow from @darknessinthevalley to be transparent, my personal definition of therian as it pertains to me is more figurative than literal- i grew up surrounded by animals and work as a behaviorist and biologist now and i just have a strong connection with animals. this blog is my corner for expressing that connection. i personally consider myself to be human, though i have full respect for my friends in the community who follow more literal definitions of the therian label!

My Heart's In the Highlands - represents the longing to be back among the wilderness that fills me so strongly

The Warren of Snares trilogy by the metal band Fall of Efrafa really vibes with me for my jackrabbit theriotype. It wasn't a happy life that I lived when I was a jackrabbit, and the albums which are based on Watership Down both appeal to the rabbit and the harsh-life lived.

I think the song Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera really vibes with my bat theiotype. Not only because of the night thing but the nature of the song feels like flight with ups and downs, swooping and soaring.

And for my badger theriotype, I'm struggling to think of a song that really fits it right now. ^^"

OUTFIT:What's your favorite kin-themed outfit?

To be honest, I don't have any kin-themed outfits per say. I do have accessories or clothing that help me feel closer to my theriotypes. Wearing an unzipped jacket outside in the wind helps to simulate the feeling of wings and flight. Anything that can simulate claws or wielding a shovel helps me feel more badger-y. I don't have anything in particular that makes me feel more rabbit-y though. Maybe I should change that...

Serious question. Why are you focusing on your past selves or alternate universe selves. Why don't you accept the body you have now and make it the best it can be. Why try to get in touch with your other bodies when you can't go back to them for now?

Well, for some of us who believe in past lives,understanding our past selves allows us to understand ourselves today. For example, Mod Shard has mentioned that they had a fear of water and drowning that never made any sense. They discovered that it was caused by an event in a past life. They have since gotten mostly over that fear, but it originated from a past life. I also have a fear rooted in a past life. Dreams revealed to me that as a jackrabbit I died by a coyote’s jaws and as such I have a slight fear of dogs that show any aggression towards me because it triggers that memory.

Now, most otherkin aren’t focused on our past bodies. We are focused on our current bodies. But in order to understand the present and figure out how to best improve it, sometimes we have to look at our past lives.
