I definitely think Zuko loves being a girl dad, I bet Izumi dressed him up and the people around the palace had a giggle from time to time when he'd turn around and there'd be a sticker on his butt or a bow in his hair. #girldadzuko

any hcs about Zuko's relationship with Iroh II??

Hey there! I am so sorry for the delay with this, I get asks and then I say I'll go back to them and never do hahahaha. This is a great one, and I wish that we would have seen Zuko and Iroh II have at least 1 scene together. But alas, we have our hcs to hold us over. *hint hint Avatar Studios* So I think that Zuko definitely had a very close relationship with Iroh II. Based on what we saw in ATLA, it seems as though Azulon never acknowledged his grandkids, so Zuko definitely wanted to avoid that with his grandkids.

We dont see/know about Iroh II's father, but I've always headcanoned that he doesn't know his dad and his sister is more of his half sister. So because of this, I think Zuko was definitely a substitute father for him. Especially when Izumi first had Iroh II, I think Zuko and Mai definitely helped her out and so Iroh II thinks of Zuko as the father he never had. As Iroh II grew up, Zuko would always tell him stories about his time with the Gaang, the Fire Nation Crew, Iroh I, etc... Iroh II always loves to hear about them, and I hc that this is one of the main reasons he joins the United Forces. Also based on what we have read from the RPG, it appears as though Iroh II and Izumi have sort of a strained relationship due to their view on politics. Izumi wants to play it safe whereas Iroh II does not. I think that when he became a teen, this strife started and went to Zuko for advice/to calm down. Zuko was probably like an Iroh I to him. I also think that Izumi was not as supportive at first with Iroh II joining the United Forces and revoking his right to the throne. Zuko was there to help support Iroh II and talk Izumi into it :) Thanks so much for the ask, feel free to send more! <3
