Old book fans really hating on the show, huh? As if we’re ever getting a Lestat more book accurate than Sam Thyne Reid??? I’ve been reading these books since I was 9 and I couldn’t love the show more!!!! You know I don’t know what it is anymore that they’re even complaining about if not the inclusion of bipoc stories? Is it really the pastiche aesthetic that y’all are gnawing bones over? It wasn’t even accurate in the movie!!!! If y’all have any fucking patience we’re getting timeline accurate flashbacks as soon as season 2!!! Lestat is book accurate, and I’m gonna fucking say it, so are Louis and Armand!!! Maybe y’all just haven’t read the books in a while, but whatever nostalgia y’all are salivating for is just that, it doesn’t really have anything to do with Anne’s writing. I’m rereading TVL and PL and nothing in my brain has had to shift from the show to the book, I’m seeing and hearing Sam Reid and Assad Zaman. Y’all really wanted a redhead minor as Armand? Nobody cares! Assad embodies everything that makes Armand’s character. Honestly some of you sound like the same assholes who told me I couldn’t be goth because I was black. Either that or you just don’t understand what adaptation actually means. Either it’s racism or frankly racist leaning and salivating for an ✨aesthetic✨. And y’all better not come crawling when season 3 comes around just because it’s suddenly more palatable and accurate to you. Disgusting!

If Lestat had a Instagram

I've been thinking about this for awhile now because the new IWTV show is having the characters set during modern day so what if Lestat had social media? 👀Especially him being such an obnoxious vain rich guy, I think Lestat is the type to have a social media. 💯He also has a darkly charismatic personality so he would be very popular online. He'd have millions of cult-like followers and he would post incredibly bold things that are not politically correct, naughty, and horribly offensive.So he would regularly get banned and then un-banned all the time. 😖He would be very controversial on social media and in real life - due to his rock star celebrity past and bratty, rebellious attitude of still exposing his vampire nature to the human world for his own sadistic fun. 😅I'm not that dumb so I definitely would NOT openly follow Lestat like the other millions of stupid humans who would think it's totallyyy safe to follow a hot psychotic vampire and not end up hunted and eaten. 🙄For my own safety, I would not click like or comment on his posts and keep my distance but I would lurk on his social media page and keep an eye on what he's posting about because I'd have a morbid curiosity in all the trouble and drama that Lestat would get himself into online. 😅I would privately gossip about his horrible antics on social media because I feel like Lestat would be a fascinating train wreck for me to watch and secretly talk shit about. 🤣Just like he is for me in the TV show. 🤭Season 2 is not out yet and I'm not 100% sure what the production writers are planning to do with modern Lestat ??? I'll find out next year in 2024. 😁But for this post, I used a combination of Sam Reid's portrayal of TV Lestat in season 1, also mixed with Anne Rice's portrayal of book Lestat, and my imagination for fun! 😆I edited the photos to look like real Instagram posts so you might have to zoom in to read the captions clearly or just look at the photos but it is accurate to what I imagine Lestat's instagram page would look. 😂😂😂
