I love legend of zelda I love boat boys this is like the ultimate combination of my interests you cannot understand the brainrot. Idk what to call it yet tho... majoras minecraft? Anyway prepare for an essay

OKAY so we have the Hero of Time, Etho, who stopped ganons plans before they started, and would be stuck in a child's body if not for the fact I think that'd be a lil weird for the more shippy aspects of this au that all the running through time aged his soul and his body followed suit (he's still got a young appearance, and the mask doesn't make him look older like he thinks). Same reason he has the scar over his eye (from the ganon fight); no matter how much the body may heal or rewind the mind will not forget.

Then navi (maybe bdubs?) left him, and he went with epona (maybe bdubs instead? (eponas a horse iydk)) and he sets out on a journey aka the beginning of mm:

Wandering through the woods on epona, gets jumped by skull kid. For those unaware, there is skull kid, a lonely lil sweetheart, and he wears the mask, an entity on its own. He also has two fairies, siblings tael and tatl.

So I was a little unsure about this for a while, but I think I've decided on grian for the skull kid and Jimmy for tael, grian bc watchers and Jimmy bc skull kid is not very nice to tael (bc of the mask) and like a listeners reference or smth blah blah blah

TATL. that's who's interesting. At the beginning she gets separated from her friends and becomes your companion. So naturally for this au she is our favourite joel smallishbeans. It works so well. Tatl is mean but cares, and that's joels dynamic with the bad boys and with etho, guys it's literally perfect idc what you say

I think it doesn't change much throughout like the story of the game, but just taking dialogue tatl says to link and its so perfect for a sassy joel to a "can't believe I'm dealing with this shit again" etho. Uh one thing different though; in hylian form etho doesn't have an ocarina but instead a mini marimba. Just because. I think it's cool, and for potential things later on.

Now, fairies in this au are just tiny glowing people shaped things with wings. The glow around them is their magic, and depending on emotions/energy the brightness changes (thats why they look like flying balls of light). Some fairies have the ability to make projections of themselves, more hylian sized in nature. This can be intimidation or distraction or w/e, but they cant do it for long periods of time bc its exhausting. These forms aren't physical. Just sized up light projections of their actual bodies.

So for a lot of their journey, joel is just a cute pocket sized ball of rage and sarcasm, who helps with ethos aim for fighting. Bc that's a game mechanic and also ethos like half blind. But like when joel calms down imagine him crawling into ethos hat and just dozing off. He can fit in the palm of your hand like guys it's so cute. But he is also capable of being worse than a mozzie

Oh probably a good point to put in what I imagine etho looks like. So it's typical link green (maybe a bit dampened?), weird pointy hat, short hair (white ofc), his shirt is more of a jacket with a fluffy cold weather collar, it's a bit too big for him but he knows he'll grow into it, he's all knobbly and thin (underfed a lil, boy was never taught how to care for himself beyond basic survival). His injured eye is red bc of ganon, and often gives him phantom pains. It can't be healed.

Anyway, at some point in their journey together, etho and joel learn a song that let's fairies have a larger physical form, no wings, sorta like the great fairies (who they learnt it from prolly). It isn't permanent, slowly draining ethos magic meter, the spell ends when you run out of magic. This is because I want them to actually be able to stand side by side or maybe hug, and also bc its hard to block a blow with your body when ur tennis ball sized.

Aaaaand, this ties back in with with marimba. What if ethos injured, or unconscious, and he obviously can't defend himself, so joel panics and plays the marimba in what he hopes is the right order to give himself a body. I imagine that being that small, you could not play an ocarina. And hey maybe joel carries etho away after that, and when the spell ends he has barely any light emitting from himself because he spent nearly all his magic (what he is made of) saving etho.

But this song isn't used much, because of its draining nature, and you can't really do any other magic things while it's going. So it's mostly just in the final fight (over and over) or tough moments or maybe joel wants to experience something like hoe hylians do. It's obviously inferior to how he experiences things as a fairy, of course, he's just curious thats all. He totally doesn't want etho to do it more.

Okay I think ill sorta stop here, I am NOT done, I will probably post some art I've done for this later lol, and I want help with who everyone else is (mumbo is the moon. You cannot stop me nor change my mind) with mcyts to npcs

feeling melancholic and hopeless again. so im gonna just write out my emotions and none of it correlating. self pity post galore

im thinking about things. life is rough. so stressful. my mental illness is worsening by the day. lots of stuff happens behind the scenes that i choose to not talk about

and what im thinking about now, is that who was once one of my absolute comforts (junko).. im thinking abt that adorable little fumo plush of her i ordered several months ago is just sitting on top of my other plushies.. that i wasn't even excited to have her when she first arrived.

and that hurt, knowing i didn’t, remembering how much she once meant to me.

same with my Chang’e. i want nothing to do with either of them now. they no longer bring me an ounce of comfort, only dread and remnants of a self indulgent story of kindness that once lifted me up. it all died. feels too idealistic. i feel like im too much of an outcast to let this story exist outside my private circles. i dont even want it anymore, or if i want to ever again

i think as of lately, focusing on oc’s (including ones i havent spoken of yet) has been better for my state of mind

maybe im being melodramatic, and i do not care. perhaps in a few months i will be enamored with them again? idk. idc either

i feel more disconnected than ever to fandom, when i was seldom a part of any of it in the first place. im that person that exists on the outskirts, not really part of their community. im disconnected to people. i cant make connections with anyone, but i never could .. ok . i could, with a couple folks here and there. im grateful they want me around (not counting my partner of course, theyre the best thing thats ever happened to me. im not just lucky, im fortunate af we met at all)

im aware of my own issues- im autistic, im unmedicated when i probably need meds to regulate my emotions, i live in a toxic family. im triggered terribly easily, and when im hurt, it *hurts*.

 i fear that, because of my strange way of speaking and how a lot of my conversations are stilted, and what i perceive as unusual behavior-- i fear i make other people creeped out/uncomfortable. irl or otherwise. like, maybe ppl will be friendly to me at first, but after a year and i dont say much anything and im just this creepy, quiet weirdo to them now. and thats so silly. whats creepy about me?? im a pint size thing who cant even look anyone in the eye very well. is that creepy?? ok, i struggle to talk sometimes, i might be uninterested in conversation but i dont want to be disliked for it-- idk ((ok i have “Creep” by Radiohead set in my mind because of my mental state, and its kinda funny to me for some reason)

i am quite literally, a complete failure in my family. i cant stress the truth in that enough. even my grandmother is disappointed in me and only wants to see a text message from me saying i got a worthy job in my field. that only thing that matters to anyone, my one and only point of interest in everyone i speak to in my life even outside my family, is that i dont have a real job. thats it. everyone is waiting for me to be.. someone.

but none of them have been a particularly positive influence in my life, seeing as im stuck here.

Also why does Katniss keep allotting his strength to carrying bread trays around? Are they heavy? Why have I never once heard of people who carry bread trays being strong? I always thought Peeta was really strong because he learned to fight in order to defend himself against his mother but that’s probably wrong.

But if a mother is abusive, it can lead to one of the kids being physically violent as well and we know Peeta isn’t but he has two older brothers I’m gonna cut myself off now but I think we all smelled what I just stepped in.

Also I just find it so fascinating now how she regards herself vs Peeta here.

It’s just funny how she discounted herself right from the start but thought he was a real contender and then come to find out, Peeta believes it’s the exact opposite 😂🙃. They’re both so stupid I can’t even take it.

Okay so basically what I gathered is the Capitol is probably in New Mexico and District Twelve is somewhere between Kentucky and Alabama. Irrelevant I know. But just a reminder now to everyone that Katniss and Peeta are literally speaking, crying and screaming in thick, backwoods southern accents.

Moomin and the Fairy Prince - Prologue

I came up with a Moomin Thumbelina au a while back and at first I was gonna write a fic for it, but we all know that ain’t gonna happen lmao, although I did write the prologue so I thought I’d post it here cause I might as well post it somewhere! This is probably the most ridiculous origin of Moomin’s name ever but idc! Also some phrases are taken straight from the Don Bluth film so if there’s a line you like it’s probably not mine lmao

Once upon a time, there lived a Farmer and her Husband. They were relatively happy and looked after all their farm animals with great love, but they felt something was missing: they longed to have a child to call their own.

One day, the Husband rushed into the kitchen where his wife was preparing lunch, his open palms cradling a small creature.

“What is it, dear?” asked the Farmer, alarmed.

“A dragonfly!” he sputtered in response. “It fell out of the sky onto the veranda railing right in front of my eyes! We must mend its broken wing!”

The Farmer carefully took the creature and chuckled as she inspected it closer. “Dear, you must remember to keep your spectacles with you; this is no dragonfly, but a fairy!”

Her Husband blushed in embarrassment but was too full of awe to worry about his mistake. “A fairy? You don’t say!”

“Indeed, dear! But we’ll get them fixed up all the same.” And so she did just that.

A few days later, the fairy had recovered enough to leave the care of the Farmer and her Husband. Before he left, he thanked them deeply. “I am in your debt. We fairies usually avoid human detection, but I can see your hearts are pure and full of kindness, and so I entrust you with my name: I am the Hobgoblin, a fairy of immense magical power. In return for saving my wing, I will grant you one wish.”

“Oh, really, that’s very kind of you, but we couldn’t possibly-“

The Hobgoblin interrupted her. “No, please let me do this; if not for you, then for my good conscience. Now what is it you wish for?”

The Farmer and her Husband looked at each other in silent agreement. “Well, if you can...” began the Husband, “I mean, if it’s at all possible, my wife and I have always longed for a child of our own.”

The Hobgoblin hummed as he thought for a moment. “Very well. I think that is doable.” He held out a tiny hand and suddenly there appeared upon it a tiny barleycorn, which he handed to the Farmer. “Plant it in a flowerpot,” he instructed, “and see what happens.” And with a polite tip of his hat, away he flew.

The Farmer and her Husband did as they were told, planting the seed in the best soil in their best pot, which they placed on a small table next to the window with the best sunlight. Day after day the Farmer and her Husband would water and care for the seed with great love; the latter often reading his memoirs or latest story to it (he’d read somewhere that talking to plants could quicken their growth, and besides, he’d never had such an attentive listener).

By and by, the seed began growing, until at last it grew into a beautiful rose. One day the Farmer and her Husband stood over it as the the Cow, the Goat, and a Chicken (riding on the Goat’s back) squeezed their heads through the window, trying to catch a glimpse.

“Oh, what a pretty flower,” cooed the Farmer, giving its closed petals a tender kiss.

Suddenly, the rose began to bloom before the couple’s very eyes, the vivid red petals delicately unfurling to reveal a small figure curled up within. The Farmer and her Husband watched in awe as the tiny person stirred from their slumber, rubbing their eyes and blinking at the gigantic new world around them. They stood up and beamed the most brilliant of smiles, exclaiming: “Hello, mamma! Hello, pappa!” Mamma and Pappa’s hearts were suddenly full with the love they were missing all along.

Mamma let the little boy climb onto her hand as she and Pappa greeted him warmly. He was perfect - hair a white as snowdrops, pale skin as plump as bread dough, big eyes as blue as the summer sky, and an aura of joy and curiosity that emanated from his fairy-sized body. But there was no sign of wings.

“But whatever shall we name you?” mused Mamma.

Pappa scratched his chin in thought. The boy clung onto mamma’s thumb. The cow mooed.

“A wonderful suggestion, thank you, Rose!” Mamma smiled, “but just ‘Moo’ seems a little too short. What about Mini Moo?”

“Moo Mini?” Pappa chimed in.

“Moo-min!” The boy attempted to copy his pappa, delighting in having a name of his own.

“Moomin! We’ll call him Moomin!” cried Pappa triumphantly.

“Oh, it’s perfect, dear.” Mamma agreed as the two doted on their son.

But can you imagine the troubles for a little boy no bigger than your thumb?

I do feel that to a certain extent, but at the same time I feel like Yang may also have grown out of it. Whatever the reason she had for looking for her mom before isn’t the same now. Yang obviously has questions for Raven, but she also knows how important it is to find Ruby, and she probably feels like that outweighs whatever personal things she has with her mom, it just so happens that Raven was also the answer to finding Ruby.

So we’ve seen what Raven’s semblances is, but not how it works, until now. She ‘bonds to certain people’ and can make warp gates to them. It could simply be that Raven had no reason to mark Ruby as someone to teleport to, or maybe it’s because Raven can only teleport to people that are close to her: Her Family.

That begin said, Raven seems to not like the whole family thing since she does say “Family - only come around when they need something.” Maybe her semblance was found due to the opposite nature of her personality. Having a semblance that literally takes her back to her family when she has such disdain for the idea does raise a few questions. But I’ll leave it at that.

Or are Weiss and Yang going to try and convince Ruby to pull away from Haven because shit is about to get real and they shouldn’t haven’t to deal with it?

I HIGHLY doubt that Raven is going to tell them about how literally the Spring Maiden is within the camp grounds. But if she does, then??? Do the 2 of them stay? Or will Raven teleport Yang and Weiss, just to then later pick up camp and move to a new location? Cuz by then EVERYONES gonna know who and where the Spring Maiden is.

I maybe reading into this too much, cuz you know, emotions rising, and with knowing the lyrics to the song, I want to talk about the symbolism in this last shot.

Weiss has gotten quite a bit of development coming from Volume 4 to now. And in my opinion, it started all when she was able to successfully summon her knight. 

After being told she was no longer the heiress to her family’s company, she was held against her will to stay in her room. As soon as she was able to summon her knight, she decided to take action. She was able to escape with the help of Klein. He was probably going to be the last trust worthy person she knows that she’s going to see in a while. Even while doing so, she’s had her guard up the whole time because she knew she’s no longer in a safe place. All the way up to being captured by bandits, she still shows initiative to get out. 

Then she reunites with Yang. She has finally found someone she cares and trusts. Someone she probably considers as part of her family, the family being Team RWBY. So the knight fading away in this last shot is visual representation of Weiss finally letting her guard down because now she’s with family. AND WHERE DO YOU USUALLY FIND FAMILY? HOME. THE TITLE OF THE SONG THAT’S PLAYING. AND I JUSTLKSA:LSKDJA:SLKJDWOIASK jEXCUSE ME WHILE I GO REPLAY THIS SCENE FOR THE REST OF TIME UNTIL MORE OF THE TEAM GETS BACK TOGETHER.

TL;DR: Weiss’s knight fading away at the end of this scene is the visual representation of  Weiss finally letting her guard down now that she’s found Yang; a team mate, a friend, a person she might consider as family.

But I may just be reading into this too much. I MEAN HOW COULD YOU NOT?

But I live in a small village in countryside (about 200 people) where everybody knows everybody and when I was younger, I would sit on my front porch every evening and wait for people to come by, walking their dogs. They would always stop by to ask my mother how does she manage to grow such big tomatoes or to praise her nice flowers or something similar. Meanwhile, they would let me play with their dogs. I remember sometimes chasing with them for hours through the fields full of corn which was twice my size or around the meadows of clover, which was up to my knees. Where I was, there were always dogs and where there were dogs, there was always me. (I'm 99% sure that last sentence is grammatically incorrect, but you get my point)
