authors note: ive honestly missed writing for oscar and priv!reader so we are back in honor of oscars FIRST EVER WIN AND INCREDIBLE SPRINT RACE!! im genuinely so proud of oscar and im honestly in shock. i also follow ZERO wag pages so i have no clue what they are like, if people actually follow them etc.

well i think it's finally happening
i think i'm finally starting to let go of pokemon as my main crutch of inspiration
I have grown too dissatisfied with it, and the stories i make are so detached from he primary concept of pokemon it has become too distracting for me, like my current set of characters barely look like the pokemon they are supposed to be lmao
for a while i've been thinking how i would translate my characters into my own lil world of dragons as a fun side idea, i kinda already did that with my current lizard trio plus Zack and Ylvi but now it has gotten to the point i wanna keep developing this idea more, smash it with the things i keep getting attracted to and run with it.
I don't think i'll immediately stop drawing pokemon stuff, i still like the way my characters look, but probably expect to see more drawings of them in my OG setting as i develop more of their world.
and as for the comic
I'll just take my L and all i managed to learn through the experience, and start again when the idea is solid enough |'D sad but every time i work on it, it keeps reminding me of all the things i don't like of its setting and there's already too many things i wanna fix about it to continue. at least i've managed to learn a lot through the process and i feel way more confident about my abilities to tell a story with the themes and concepts i like so it wasn't all in vain, it's just something i'm gonna have to accept
but anyways, i'm not really sure why i'm writing this down, thought you guys would like to know what's going on with me and my work, maybe hear what you think about it, i don't know!
I'll just be drawing my weird creatures and melodrama and current times with a fun splash of modernized fantasy

The thing is, Davesprite's situation is more complicated than an unfulfilled time loop. His timeline isn't an irrelevant offshoot - in fact, it's integral to the existence of the Alpha Timeline, and presumably always was. Davesprite forms part of a weird, fully intact time loop which spans multiple timelines.
And since this is a future Dave, you have to assume he knows about Bro. The two clearly had a complicated relationship, but he's surely shaken by his death - if nothing else, it's a sign of how serious things have become.
That'll be a fun thing to check out when I've finished the comic! It reminds me of those Hunger Games simulators that were doing the rounds a couple of years ago.
That's true. Dave knows how strong the Underlings have become - and yet, he's still confident that Jade can stand up to them. Presumably she finds some sort of workaround for their First Guardian powers?
Sunslammer is so good! A standout song, even in a comic with as many bangers as this one.
Honestly, part of why I'm dragging my feet on the album reviews is because I want to hear these songs for the first time in context. If I'd heard Descend before watching Descend, I feel like it would have robbed the song of some of its dramatic weight.
I assumed it was just because witches are associated with frogs.
That would have explained why they're part of her Land, but I'm pretty sure that Kanaya's glitched planet was also a frog Land, and she's not a Witch, so...?

Getting back to the trolls will be interesting, especially since - I assume - we'll be zipping back to when Feferi was still alive. The Veil is a much less friendly place, now - but does Feferi know this? What, exactly, is about to happen to the trolls?

Actually, Sburb might not want them to know - Jack's probably not the only one who wouldn't respect the Ring's rules. There could be potential ringwielders out there who are far more dangerous.
Thank you! I feel like I've been doing a lot more character analysis in Act 5 versus previous Acts, where most of my speculation was about the lore. It's a fun change of pace.

It's moments like these which really enhance the comic for me - justifications for things that I genuinely thought were just nitpicks on my part. It's really gratifying, honestly.

Finally, Jade's challenge incorporates a lot of these elements. It's another "blind faith" situation. She has to take a shot in the dark. There's a sacrificial gesture, but instead of risking herself (like Rose), Jade must symbolically sacrifice her friend via effigy and cannot complete the sacrifice without help from that friend. (Bec must redirect the bullet. There's no way this works if he doesn't.) It is also a signifier that the pet she knew as a friend her whole life is about to, in a way, become her enemy. Like a good dog gone bad, who now must be put down."
So they are all intended to be foodstuffs! And, apparently, alphabetical - although I think 'Crow's egg' is a bit of a stretch.
There are also themes of sacrifice and faith that I didn't really think about before. Choosing to enter Sburb at all, knowing the stakes, is absolutely a leap of faith - and it's a game which sacrifices your whole planet. Skaia's been telling us the score this whole time.
Homestuck absolutely deals with dark themes - but they start out buried under the surface, and even now, are still in the process of revealing themselves. This makes sense for Homestuck, a coming-of-age-story whose protagonists are slowly coming to terms with some dark truths about their lives.
Awful Hospital, however, immediately says: here's our protagonist. Her baby is dying. She just woke in a strange room. She doesn't know how she got here. Her baby has been stolen. There are monsters inside her brain. By the way, here's a quip, because this is actually a funny comic. It just felt... dissonant, and not in a fun way. I don't really know what it's going for, tonally.
Don't take this as a negative review, though! I only read a couple dozen pages, so I'm really not qualified to rate the comic - I just wasn't feeling it at the time, so I shelved it. I enjoy a lot of Bogleech's writing, and Awful Hospital's lore sounds pretty interesting, so I'll probably give it another shot at some point.
Not for the most part! I'm super into time travel stories, though, so I'm well-Primed to understand their intricacies.
So there might be intermittent stages between the four we've seen in the kids' session? That'd be interesting - I'd love to see the intermediary stage between John's 2D chessboard and Rose's 3D cube.
There are, at this point, too many awesome songs for me to pick favorites. Umbral Ultimatum and Sunslammer are excellent, but what songs aren't, at this point?
I can't imagine what we're in for when we reach the Act 5.2 finale...
Ooh, interesting. Considering how many accidental references Hussie seems to make, it's honestly up in the air whether that was intentional.

I'm sure all Breath Players probably learn to fly, unless there are some oddball classes which don't let you interact with your Aspect.

I like it! As Time Players, they both follow the set path of the Alpha Timeline - but Dave gets a little funky with it, multiplying himself with a complex series of time loops.
Aradia, ever the fatalist, instead turns to doomed clones for reinforcements. I don't think we've ever seen her make a stable loop.

shoutout to Rusty Rose's Birdie, who only appears in the very first and very last eps for some reason 😭 her speech about it not being her power source came outta nowhere too, but i loved the message behind it
when everyone arrives at the Grim, just before the ep ends, Nine starts breathing heavily and it. instantly reminded me of Movie!Tails when the bar was calling them freaks. fuck. its a nice reminder of where Nine's coming from
speaking of Nine his poses getting more unhinged over time!! hell yeah
i love that the final fight(s) felt like a kid smashing 3 different Lego sets together, real Robot Pirate Island shit
i laughed a little too hard when the Grim's dome started closing in cus Nine's citadel-thing already reminded me of a thing that happened in Fortnite once, but hell naw they had to add The Storm too sdfghj

So... Twitter, huh? My spoiler filters there had some leaks, and I saw some discussion out of context that... actually made me kinda scared to finish the show. But then I did, and had fun with it just like the other two seasons, and I remembered that Twitter gets high-strung about things that don't matter so much, and that giving it sway over how much I enjoy things is silly lol.
Yes, I think the last season could've been paced differently so it wasn't 5 episodes of the same Final Boss Fight. Yes, I think the writing switches jarringly between gearing for a young new audience and for a seasoned old one. Yes, I think the 2D flashbacks look and move worse than what fans constantly make for free. Yes, I think the final episode doesn't do nearly as much housekeeping as it should (does the Shatterverse still exist or not??). Yes, I think declaring the show is canon to the games or whatever they said probably wasn't the best idea. And yes, I think Black Rose should've had a shoulder-parrot!Birdie to match the other Amys. All valid critiques! All sensible things to think when you've been around the Sonic bush!
But I swear to god, people on Twitter act like these things spoil the whole package. Where's the nuance? Why does every opinion there become an absolute worth tearing others down for? Is it the character limit? I bet it's the character limit.
There's so much I love about this show that were infeasible for the Sonic brand just 3-4 years ago. Externalizing the characters' facets to explore them in-depth. Said exploration spanning multiple episodes instead of being one-and-done. The sheer amount of genuine Sonadow food (and I don't actively do shipping, so me adding it here should hold a lot of weight). The snappy, playful, yet blistering fight scenes that, dare I say, feel like a successful TV-budget Spider-Verse. It was all so much fun!
But I guess stuff like Green Hill being the gang's "home" is a big deal-breaker?? Like?? I thought that was silly too, but not worth ratio'ing people with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over? Get well soon, I guess??
Rambling over, shout-out to the entire country of Canada for giving me the most fun I've had with a Sonic show since X! I'm gonna go figure out how to address all this as The End lol

Oh hey I have another one! Smash Bros., the only hyperfixation I have that beats Toonami in how obsessed I am with it. 25 years old as of last January.
I will also be talking about the lore. A lot of this stuff will be partially me interpreting the events in my own way. It starts when the og 12 playable fighters...most likely get kidnapped and either get turned into or have their consciousness put into doll version of themselves. Sakurai said it himself that the first game is of toys trying to escape the world they were put in...but everyone interpreted that as them really being toys and that they were trying to escape into our world. So maybe I see it the way I do out of spite? Who knows. Anyways, the toy fighters defeat the one who put them into this situation, rendering them unconscious at the very least...but in the process, returning to inanimate states. Melee is rinse repeat of this situation except now they're trophies/statues and the fight for freedom is much harder. Also there's two final bosses now. At the end, they manage to negotiate with the otherworldly beings into fighting still, but on their terms, cuz yeah, the fighting was pretty fun.
Then Brawl happened. We all know what happened in Brawl. Subspace happened. The original being from the first game, who you can probably tell is Master Hand at this point, gets captured by the embodiment of Subspace, Tabuu, in order to fool certain villainous...and very gullible Smashers to being commanders of the Subspace Army. Mr Game and Watch has bugs in him that are used to create the majority of said army and R.O.B., who goes by the Ancient Minister for most of the story, has his people held hostage in order for the enemy to create bombs that suck the world that the story take place in into Subspace...and is one the characters who gets the shortest end of the stick in this story. His home, the Isle of Ancients, doesn't even come back at the end of the story like the other locations that were sucked into Subspace cuz waaay too maby bombs were set of at once and has rendered the former land into nothing but a literal sparkle in the sky. And him no longer haaving this home plus the rest of his people wiped out and still canon in later entries.
And then Smash 4 happened...which technically doesn't a story like the last one did. But what it does have is a new boss in the form of Master Core, an entity that comes out of Master hand, I kid you not, when the difficulty is high enough (speaking of! the first time I fought and beat this boss was on accident!) There's no canonical explanation as to just what Master Core is- whatever flavor text we have for it in game is pretty vague. So the way I interpret is that the Swarm, the substance that makes up most of this boss, and the true form, the true Master Core if you will, are intense emotion given form that runs on pure instinct and whatever emotions it spawned from and the...well just put an apostrophe+s in between its name and there you go. It probably showed up now because...well, get captured, literally puppeted, be forced to watch as the world you created gets sucked into the one you're stuck in, most likely be in pain the entire time, nearly die after escaping...and you understand that Master Hand, to say the very least, is fucking traumatized.
THen Ultimate happens and we all know what happens here too. Or at least I do. I might be one of the only people out there actually enjoyed playing World of Light. ANyway, both Master and Crazy Hand get captured this, Galeem light beams everyone to death, and renders all non fighters and non boss entities in what's implied to be the multiverse...into spirits. Except Kirby cuz his warp star can warp out this existence for a few seconds. I also personally interpret Galeem and his counterpart, Dharkon as alternate timeline versions of the Hands where went south for everyone after Subspace, to say the very least.
ANd that's only what I can think of off the top of my head as explanations for each game. ..You can probably tell I've put a lot of thought into these things.

authors who are snide towards canon
this one is kinda hard for me to describe, but you know those fics that have a line that Makes A Statement about something in canon and the tone of it is just bitchy? or just any sort of vibe where the author clearly thinks they're Much Better than the actual show writer? sighs.
we've all had that phase in fandom where we hate read/watch something and then bitch about it online but my god am i glad to be over that bullshit. if you don't like it here, you don't have to be here! there's nothing making you stay! I've noticed the trend that if the author's a snide cunt about canon, they're inevitably going to be a snide cunt about some canon thing i do like, and i don't need that in my life. you can disagree with/change canon choices in a way that doesn't automatically put down anyone who does like what canon did, and you can't do that if you're going to be smug and superior about what you do or what you don't like. canon is a sandbox and if you're not here to have fun, please go to a different sandbox where you will have fun, it'll be much nicer for everyone.
spite fic
similarly: i have negative patience for spite fic. what's the fucking point of spite fic? if you only participate in spaces you don't like, you're never going to find the stuff you like or convince anyone in those spaces to change their minds, you're just going to piss everyone off as you trample on their toes. i'm a little steamed thinking about this because of the debacle of people trying to start fights in tags, but overall its just so childish and exhausting. again: why are you here if you aren't having fun!!
like i said above, there's a way to...hmm, dance? with stuff you don't like that still comes from a place of love. like, personally! i do not like Macau & Chay friendship! which is a different post, but fandom largely likes to smash the two of them together for some reason and i Don't Get It. so i avoid that tag, but i wrote interior design with the sort of playfully-antagonistic dynamic i would love to see more of between them. but like, my point was "hey, has anyone considered how funny this would be" and never at any point "the other way people write them is WRONG." because it isn't wrong, it's just not my cup of tea. i'm rambling, but tl;dr- anything tagged with "spite fic" or is spite fic in vibes has me rolling my eyes and scrolling by, no thanks.
fix-it fic
okay so like. i don't automatically click out of anything with this tag, but i'm very leery towards it. my joy in fandom is exploring all the "what-ifs" of canon and canon-divergence is such a fun playground, but i've gotten...really, really frustrated with the fix-it fic tag over the past few years. a lot of fix-its revolve around "what if x choice never happened" scenarios and very often the answer to that is "this significantly more boring y result happened instead" and meh. generally, i find it more interesting to work with things that happened in canon than to just banish them, so anything starting with the premise of just erasing something is a hard sell for me.
for example! after kinnporsche ep4 dropped and the spurt of ~fix-it~ fic that dropped so that either kp didnt fuck or it was fully consensual or whatever. it just...missed the entire point of why it was narratively important, or stripped Porsche of the agency he did have during that scene, or missed the point of how Kinn can't ignore the power imbalance between them. i'm not going to ramble more on the meta about it here, but it felt like a bunch of people clutching their pearls and more anxious about making some fictional guys ~unproblematic~ instead of digging into the story the writers were trying to tell. plus, KinnPorsche as a ship minus the power imbalance or the tension of their circumstances is a much more boring story to me, so my inclination is to just scroll by anything wanting to avoid it.
another example of fix-it fic i hated was after good omens s2 came out, a bunch of people rushed to write ~fix-it fic~ where Aziraphale didn't go to heaven or it turned out ~he was drugged all along~ or anything that didn't have Aziraphale and Crowley splitting at the end. even a lot of the literal story metas dropping at the time were theories on how Aziraphale wasn't actually leaving Crowley or he was literally being brainwashed/drugged into it somehow, and it was just like. hmm. the s2 end was the natural build-up of the story (all???? of s2 was them miscommunicating or trying to find their new purposes in the world???) (also: in all trilogies, the 2nd story ends on a cliffhanger, that's How You Write Trilogies) and like. blah, idk, i get how the natural instinct is to want some comfort food after the bombshell, but the good omens tag (on AO3 and even tumblr in many ways) was impossible for me post s2 because i was really excited about their divorce and all the ways to dig into that split, but everywhere i turned was about turning the wheel back to erase it. bleh.
anyways, overall, nothing wrong with fix-it fic, but it's usually easier to just assume anything with that tag is not a story i'm interested in reading.
...reading back and the tl;dr of this post is that i find it more fulfilling to play in a sandbox i like and take all canon choices in good faith to work with lol

but besides the point I actually have questions and I wanna ask em.
first up, who’s the back up? luffys mentioned the backup a few times and I cant help but wonder who it is. if thats a major spoiler than you dont have to answer but considering your love for this one guy i kinda think its sabo or the rev army. either that or like traffy. it would be funny if it was sabo though because of koby’s brief jealousy of how luffy was talking about him.
this might be just me as an aot fan overanalyzing everything but I feel like that devil fruit in the beginning was something important and so was the auction in broad daylight.
also ive seen a lot of fics where kobys favorite food is buttered potatoes but i think yours is the first where his favorite food is downright plain butter. the guys a psychopath for that. like why would you do that. where did you even get the idea.

Greetings, fellow AoT fan, you are NOT mistaken! I kinda like hiding little things in the fic—not EVERYTHING has a purpose like AoT, but a lot of things are put there for a reason. I like being sneaky like that.
And yes. Koby’s a psycho. He eats straight up butter—and said it tastes better when dipped in sugar. I got this weird headcanon from my bestie who also happens to eat butter sticks. I once saw him dip it in sugar and was so disgusted by it, and he was just like “it’s good for you. Besides, it’s ✨tasty✨” like sir no. What on earth. That’s weird. You do you, but please, not in front of me. Besides the point—for some reason I decided to implement that onto Koby. I have a habit of weirdifying characters.
As for the RyMeppo question… I seriously never expected people to love this ship so much wtf. In Chapter 5, Helmeppo is completely unaware of his very obvious crush on (B)Ryan. He thinks he hates Ryan, when it’s obvious it’s more than that. As of Chapter 10, however, the moron is 10000% aware of how he feels. He and Ryan’s relationship is really fun to write with the constant bickering/flirting. I never intended them to be a romantic relationship, but alas, that’s where it headed.
And the KobyLu questions! Yay! Koby definitely fell first and he fell hard—don’t think anyone could fall harder if they tried. As for Luff: he knows how he feels about Koby. Buddy went to Sanji’s school of flirting and failed the classes spectacularly yet tried showing off his grades to Koby. He’s made it very clear how he feels—Koby, unfortunately, is just too damn dense. Luffy could yell “I LOVE YOU” to Koby and he would probably think Luffy meant platonically. He gets his density from me, of course, I’m the exact same way.

One, technically, which is nothing compared to others but I enjoy exploring my ideas with the MCU and its characters. I'm not sure I'd get the same feeling with other fandoms, like say, supernatural.
🍈How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
It'll be four this summer. Again, not long, but considering I denied myself as being a writer for several years? That's progress and growth.
🍎Do you read or write more fanfiction?
It depends on the muse and all sorts of other things. Sometimes I'm punching out oneshot after oneshot, while other times I'll be focused on a longfic and will read in between and stuff. Like currently!
🍌What is one way you've improved as a writer?
Writing more. Reading more. Writing more again. But also letting go of sticking to a strict outline. I'm a planster. I'll plan the major things, but everything else is made up as I go.
🍑Do you have any bad habits as a writer?
I'll often start or continue writing a scene and will find myself stuck, thinking it's the end of the world, and then realize my whole issue is a few lines above what I'm trying to make work. Happens so often you'd like I would be used to it by now.
🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
I don't know about weird, but I've been doing a ton of medical research for my future doctor/patient AU. I've searched around for all sorts of things lol even for a sentence that I'll likely not end up using.

Keyboard smashes. Long detailed comments about the plot/relationship/pining/etc. Comments that mention a tiny detail I included, those are the best when people notice them. But also, any comment.

Crack fics? I don't think I write a lot of outlandish stuff, at least I wouldn't consider them to be 😂
🥭What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Uhhh... *stares blankly at my open doc* Ones with big plot. I love it, it makes the story even more fun to write, but MAN plot can be tricky. Catch me saying "Did everyone see that? Because I will not be doing it again" like Captain Jack Sparrow when I finish a longfic, and then immediately start planning another one to write.

Short oneshots with hardly any plot. Which isn't often because almost everything I write ends up being longer than I anticipated.
🍑Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Docs. I used to use Smartedit Writer and organize by chapters, but ehhhh I just throw ideas onto a separate doc and go from there. Why plan extensively when my characters will do a 180 on me all the time? And almost always at night, sometimes during the day when time/the muse allows me.
🍋What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
I was just thinking about this recently. I have never written a post TWS recovery fic. It's on my 'to write' bucket list, so I hope to tackle a lengthy canon fic one of these days. I love reading canon fics where they're on missions and the plot is centered around HYDRA or some other big bad, I feel like those are trickier to write than AUs. But everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and I know coming up with detailed worlds/world building isn't a walk in the park for some.

Summary: matt and y/n go out too the club to party and stuff...but something happens that y/n never saw coming.
Its almost 7 pm so I started to get ready to go out with Matt. We texted all day long and we actually have a lot in common. I put on some make up and I put on a black dress. "Is it to much?", I think to myself cause I'm really insecure. About everything, my personality, my body, my looks. I think about everything twice before I do something... maybe I should ask Matt what I'm gonna wear. And ask him what he's gonna wear.
Heyyy, I was just wondering what are you gonna wear?
Honestly nothing special, it's a club so I don't really now. So just a baggy jeans and an oversized t shirt with an oversized hoodie. And you?
Well that's the problem...I don't now what to wear...

Im happy I asked Matt what to wear, so I put on a cute skirt and a crop top. I just grab a little purse just to put some lipstick in and my phone. The doorbell rings, my heartbeat races as I go open the door and see matt right in front of me. "Hey beautiful," Matt says in a flirting way. "Hey Matt," I blush a lot. "You ready to go?," matt asks. "I'm all ready so yeah," I say as he leads me to his car and opens the door for me. "What a gentleman" I think to myself. He gets in and starts the car. It was around 10 minutes driving. But we put on some music and talked to each other.
Once we arrive he quickly gets out of the car to open my door so I can get out. "Thank you," I say as I think he might get feelings for me too...wel I hope he does. We are now at the club to party and we have a lot of fun. He buys us some drinks. As we party someone made me fall over and he catches me right in time. It was just like the first time we met at the bar yesterday. As I fall into his arms he smashed his lips onto mine. I was stunned but kissed him back. The butterflies are flying in my stomach. We share a long passionate kiss before we break it. We make eye contact and didn't break it for a long time. I get back up, still not breaking eye contact. "You okay love?," matt asks in a flirting voice. "yes I am handsome," I say as I couldn't believe he actually just kissed me... the night went on, with music blasting loud. We danced on and on. Him touching my waist and clinging onto me. He was getting a bit drunk and so was I. But he was driving, and I know that wouldn't be safe. So I called my best friend to pick us up to go to my place. He asked if he could sleep over and of course I said yes!
9A few minutes later my best friend text me that she outside. So matt and me leave and enter the car. "Heygirl, thank you sm for picking us up," I say. "Girl that's no problem! I rather drive you guys home than that matt drives and have am accident," she says as we ride to my place. While we're on our way, I lay my head on Matt's shoulder and he lays his head on my head. We arrive and we step out the car. "Bye girllll," I say as I give my betsie a goodbye hug. "Bye have funnn", she says as she hugs me back and then I get out the car.
We enter my little house and go to my bedroom. We feel really tired. I go to the bathroom to take my make up off and brush my teeth. Matt is still in my room and he gets his pants of and his t shirt so he's only left in his boxers. I grab some pj's from my closet and put them on. Its a small short and a cropped tank top. Matt comes behind me and hugs me from behind. His hands om my waist and his head in the crook of my neck. He picks me up and lays me in my bed. We share a long passionate kiss together. It feels like a dream come true. "You know that i love you right?," matt asks as he breaks the kiss. "Well guess it's a good thing that I love you too," I say as I lay my head on his muscular chest. He gives me a kiss on my forehead. He shuts of my night lamp before we both fall into a deep sleep...

As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, we could all use a little more warmth and holiday cheer, right? Wicked’s Rest has you covered this winter. While season 2 is slated to start in late Jan/early Feb, this event will last longer and run until March, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy!
Wicked’s Rest Frost Bites Festival is a town-wide event held on the Common every few years, where dozens of local vendors set up booths and you can warm up with a cup of hot cocoa as you browse and participate in numerous winter-themed activities. There are normal shops there. Really! Scarves, mittens, treats, candles, apple cider, ornaments – you can find whatever your snowy little heart desires. And if you ask the right people in the right way, they may have some additional goods they’d be happy to sell you, straight from Amity Road. But who wants to know about the stuff for normies, anyway? Here’s where some of the real fun is at:
The ugly sweater contest gets very competitive. With judging taking place on New Year’s Eve, people are already pulling out their ugliest, itchiest sweaters and trying to get in with the judges ahead of time. Anyone can enter! Post your sweater – photo, artwork, etc – on your character’s blog and send us the link in a ModMail by Friday 12/29. There might be some equally ugly prizes. Just watch out for Ms. Lawrence’s sweater. Last time there was a contest, it came to life and devoured everyone else’s sweaters. It won by default. UPDATE: See judging here!
‘Tis the season for mistletoe. How many first kisses have that little plant to thank? The totally completely human people who run the festival got a little confused, though, and ordered missiletoe made of actual toes. It shoots them like missiles. Some of it is probably normal.
Some people are finding that they leave the festival with a newfound impulse for goodwill. Things just slide right off their back – they’re too cheery to be angry. And they just can’t do enough good deeds. It’s the season of giving and they are READY. Some spellcaster probably thought they were doing the town a favor here. It seems to be wearing off after a bit, but maybe some of you Grinches have a little more of a giving spirit after it runs its course.
Winter-themed fortunes sound like fun and games, especially when they’re from one of those old-timey mechanical fortune telling machines. This one activates by itself when someone comes near it, no coins required (though, weirdly, the sticker on it says it costs “1 hour of your life”. It doesn’t take an hour to hear the fortune. So what is that about?) Some of those bad fortunes seem to be coming true. There might not be any snow on the ground but you’ll fall in that snowbank nonetheless.
Some of the music played at the festival seems to be having a strange effect on people, making them break into song. Conversations turn to harmonies and you might be so desperate to do some caroling that you start a real-life musical. It’s not unusual to catch people humming along to music but it seems to be happening more than usual at the festival.
A lot of people want to warm up when they come in, so there’s a hot chocolate stand with free cocoa available. It’s unmanned, but the sign that says “take one!” is encouraging enough. Some get the pleasant little drink they were expecting… others end up with chocolate powers. Or curses. Like turning everything you touch into chocolate. The little marshmallows are cute though. And if enough things become chocolate, it could solve the reindeer problem! (What reindeer problem? Well…)
If you’ve always wanted to see some reindeer, now is your chance! About 200 of the fiends have trampled into town (or maybe appeared out of nowhere?) and they’re more annoying than the goo. They walk right up to people and expect you to feed them. If you don’t, they will break your shit. They will commit arson. They will teleport into your home and smash everything. Give carrots.
These probably aren’t normal reindeer? The regular ones don’t teleport around, right? These ones blink in and out of existence on a whim.
They especially like gathering on Prospect Street in Deersprings, where all of the houses turned into gingerbread. No surprise there, except for maybe the gingerbread thing. The reindeer really are ecstatic about it.
If you feed the reindeer they’ll leave you alone for a while without destroying all of your things, but they also know you’re a pushover now, and will be back. With more friends.
If you’re curious about whether or not they can fly (why? why are you curious about that?) you could try getting a harness on one of them… it’s not recommended, though. You might end up being teleported somewhere weird.
In a town full of cryptid enthusiasts, you better believe there’s an entire sport dedicated to finding Krampus each holiday season. Club Cryptid is on it. And… there seems to be something to the whole thing. Whether it’s actually Krampus or a demon having some fun with humanity, something is coming for the naughty and sparing the nice. There have been several sightings in town of a massive creature, with horns, hooves, and a long, blood red cloak. One Club Cryptid nerd said the creature even had a long list in his claws, presumably intending to strike all those names off soon.
Have you been downright dreadful enough to make the cut? Those that have been marked for a visit may have already seen the signs, and if not, they’re about to: a lump of coal is given to the naughty. Expect punishment to follow.
Krampus (or “Krampus”) isn’t like most other monsters or creatures. He can’t just be destroyed, and there really might be something to that demon theory. But while Krampus may not be able to be killed, it might be possible to pacify him. How nice can you be?
While Krampus is often tied to the night of December 5th in folklore, this Krampus seems happy to stalk around all winter. Why not?
So far, the most common place to spot Krampus (other than inside your own home, hunched over your fireplace) seems to be a Christmas tree farm out in Gatlin Fields. The owner of the farm insists it’s not actually a Christmas tree farm; it’s just a forest. Now it’s not much of anything after the harvest – and the “owner” is actually a leshy now presiding over a lot of treepies. If you want to find Krampus in his home, you’re going to have to brave a pissed off fae and a bunch of evil trees.
Another option for finding the devil of December would be to do something bad enough to get yourself kidnapped… but there’s no telling where you’d end up or what state you’d be in… he seems to like to switch it up.
Thanks to a mysterious influence, snowmen, snowwomen, snowdogs, snowballs, and giant ice worms that people are building are being brought to life. That sounds like a child’s dream come true, but these snowmen aren’t anything like Frosty. Their teeth are icicles, their branch-arms are talons, and they want to freeze you in your tracks and gnaw on the cold meat of your body. Those who are privy to the supernatural might need to figure out what’s happening and how it can be stopped, before all that’s left of Wicked’s Rest’s population is red-stained snow.
Kill it with fire. They are still made of snow… but who carries around a blowtorch these days? Some people have tried to punch them, but it seems like they can easily reassemble themselves. And they get extra angry if the carrot falls off their face.
The reindeer have been found chasing after some of the snowmen. They want the carrots. Some people have taken to making bets on which one will win when a fight breaks out. They’re calling it the Reindeer Games.
Those who get too close to the animated snowmen might get a literal chill in your bones. No matter how warm your skin is and no matter how many blankets you burrow under, there’s no getting that cold out of you. If you can destroy the snow creature that did it to you, though…
While most of the snow creatures are more typical forms of snowy artistic expression, some are… not. A snow werewolf has been biting snowmen and making more snow werewolves. A giant worm made of ice is sliding around the woods (followed by a goggie who is in love with it). And perhaps worst of all, someone made a snow Shrek.
The snow creatures have the intelligence and instincts of whatever they’re based on. Sentience, too. If they have mouths that were constructed, they might even speak or growl. Are you really going to commit murder on things with human intelligence just because they want to turn you into a popsicle?

Predictions for Nintendo Switch Online
I think it goes without saying that the Nintendo Switch Online (or NSO) service has been controversial to say the least. The fact that we now have to pay for what used to be free online and the lack of benefits you get to subscribing has led to this service being received very poorly at least at launch. It's been about 5 years since NSO launched and a lot of that controversy has seemingly dried up either by new additions to the game library or simply the fact that we're just used to it at this point.
Now don't get me wrong there are still detractors to NSO, but it seems as if this service has been accepted for what it is despite its flaws, although I do have to agree with some of the things said by folks regarding how the service launched and how it currently is.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I want to lay down some predictions regarding the future of this service as I've seen some wild things being proposed by fans that sound completely unrealistic and nothing Nintendo would ever regularly do. Starting with the obvious, what future platforms will Nintendo add to the game library?
First things first, GameCube is not going to happen at least for a long time. I suspect Nintendo may add it once the Switch's successor is out but at this very moment it is laughable to consider GameCube right now. The biggest main issue is the fact that Nintendo themselves has been rereleasing GameCube games as full price Switch games. Metroid Prime Remastered and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door come to mind. I know for the most part the whole "things releasing outside of NSO means it will never come to NSO" myth has more or less died at this point but GameCube tends to be a special case here since these games still feel modern enough to resell as new games.
Another thing is to completely throw out any consideration of any mainline Pokémon games appearing on the Game Boy apps. The spinoffs sure, but actual mainline games is a bit silly. If they were somehow to be added they would need to do a lot of backend stuff to get these games properly working and so players don't cheat with the regular tools NSO offers such as rewind and restore points. It's not impossible but I see this as too much work to be worth it if simply putting these out as digital eShop releases sounds much easier. Besides if every version was put out on NSO then you'd lose the magic of Pokémon just like that, and that wouldn't be fun would it?
Okay so what do I actually think NSO is gonna add to its game library? Well unless Nintendo puts out a Virtual Boy or a Game & Watch app then I suspect we will probably see more third party apps. One consideration I don't see a ton of people talking about is the PC-Engine and TurboGrafx-16.
Games from these consoles have appeared on Virtual Console in the past on Wii and Wii U and a very limited number of PC-Engine games did release on 3DS only in Japan. I wouldn't doubt that Nintendo would add this as apart of their Expansion Pack, heck maybe even regular NSO if we're lucky. I would just love to see more NEC love (or well Konami love now).
But why stop there when the Mark III and Master System could be added too? Sega is already on board with NSO with their Mega Drive and Genesis apps so this would be a great addition especially since these games have not been given enough love even by Sega. SG-1000 would also be cool but that might be a bit too niche for a service like NSO but who knows.
As for games, while there is quite a bit already on the service there are certainly omissions that are quite baffling so let's get some of the more obvious ones out of the way and in no particular order.
Gomoku Narabe Renju, Mahjong, Golf, Urban Champion, SimCity, Mario Paint, Super Smash Bros., Ridge Racer 64, Banjo-Tooie, Super Mario Land, Qix, X, Balloon Kid, Mole Mania, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Pokémon Pinball, Densetsu no Stafy 1-3, Mother 3, and Rhythm Tengoku just to name a few.
So lets start with one that might not be interesting at a glance but would be a great addition to the service.
Tetris for the NES (no, not the Tengen version) is one of the more iconic versions of this beloved puzzle game, but why go back to this version specifically? I mean we already have Tetris on the Game Boy app and plenty of other Tetris games on Switch so what's the deal here?
Well for one, this version has never seen any kind of rerelease... kind of. This version in terms of how it played was ported over to Tetris Effect: Connected as a side mode but unless you knew about it I'd imagine not a whole lot of folks have dabbled with it and it's still technically not the original game.
But secondly, the main reason why this mode even exists and also why I personally would like to see it on NSO is purely to make the game accessible to a wider audience considering the competitive scene of this specific classic version of Tetris.
Being able to play this on NSO would mean a ton more people get to experience how this version plays and more importantly gives players another option of playing this without resorting to unofficial PC emulation. Obviously pro players are going to stick to original hardware but if you just wanted to practice or wanted a taste of this version then it's no wonder that having it on Switch would be a dream. Hopefully with the Game Boy version already being on the service this will increase the chances of this one happening.
So this next one is already planned to release for NSO in Japan but there's no word on it releasing internationally but regardless...
...Kaeru no tame ni Kane wa Naru or as its unofficially known as The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls. It's an action RPG that's often compared to Link's Awakening to the point where in said Zelda game there's a cameo appearance featuring Prince Richard from Bell Tolls. This is one of the more well known Nintendo developed games that never left Japan and as of writing has never seen an official English localization of any kind and unfortunately there seems to be a trend with international NSO releases having Japanese games that have not been translated. So the likelihood of this not only releasing outside of Japan but getting a new localization for NSO is very unlikely but it's more than possible given Nintendo puts in the work to translating this in English. I'd imagine a remake of this game being far more likely to getting an international release if that were to happen and hey if it's in the style of the Link's Awakening remake that would be pretty cool.
So let's move away to one that might actually happen.
This one's pretty straight forward and don't be scared by this being Japan exclusive as outside of some story cutscenes this one's perfectly playable as its mainly a puzzle game. It has seen rereleases in the past on Virtual Console and if it were to release on NSO it's very likely that it would release internationally since the benefit of Nintendo not putting in effort to localize these games means they can just drop this on the SNES app no problem. Also good time to mention that this also includes the original Wrecking Crew so it would be funny to see Wrecking Crew on the service twice.
So let's end this game prediction saga with one that probably will never happen but if it were to happen I'd be curious how it would be implemented.
So let's get this out of the way, this is an M rated game. For a while it was believed that Nintendo would shy away from more mature games from appearing on the service but GoldenEye 007 on N64 at least in Japan indicates that Nintendo's solution is purely to bump up the rating of the overall app. So I'd imagine if this were to drop on NSO we'd not only see a rating bump for the N64 app but hopefully some kind of parental control option to stop players under 17 from playing this one. While it would be cool to see this on NSO in terms of being able to play it on a Nintendo platform again, I purely would like to see this get added just to see what they'd do to the app in response to this M rated addition to the service.
And there are my NSO predictions as of November 2023. I do wonder when the next Nintendo platform releases if we'll see an uptick in support for the service but its likely that this slow trickle of games will continue as usual. I'd normally would wish for more platforms to be represented on NSO but the problem is that some of the ones already on the service are very lacking especially Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. Hopefully those libraries get beefed up soon.

Hii Mel!! I wanted to write Bull going on a small quest for the Inquisitor, and his impression of Lex. Don't know where to put it yet, but I'm thinking about putting it into a collection of other Adventures with the Chargers.

For two nights, Bull and the Chargers tracked a dracolisk through the Fereldan Wilderness. Tracks, carcasses, even scales are a sign of the animal’s presence. Every bit of it had to incinerated, the red lyrium grows on anything living. The scales were the simplest way to track it, the dracolisk’s shedding cycle appears to be accelerating.
Frederic said that the red stuff was devouring it from the inside, the scales falling off when scratching at its wound and further spreading through the dracolisk rabidly chomping on anything it sees.
Adan was the first to notice the strange surge of red lyrium in this area, it all began when the trees all suddenly started to whither.
They think it started when a Red Templar got pissy, and took it out on the local wildlife. It wouldn’t be the most unbelievable thing to happen, though no one is sure. That’s for the bookworms to figure out, if the Inquisitor gets lucky she’ll have time to bury her head in papers too. Everyone has their hobbies.
Bull’s Chargers just do the fun part. The dracolisk seemed to have wandered into an alcove for shelter, if they’re luck the Chargers will be able to end their night early and celebrate.
Skinner and Krem were the first to go in, they’ll look for prints and return back.
“They found the drake.“ The Iron Bull barely held in his grinning as his axe slid off his back, the smooth silverite barely keeping cool. “Chargers, let’s smash something.”
“Wait.” Lex held him back by his chest, his elven hands felt like a soft squeeze when he pushed. “We’re just taking it, head on?”
“That’s the plan, we go in and take its head off.” Bull pushed back.
“It’s infected with red lyrium, Bull.” Lex furrowed his brows. “We’re risking a lot by rushing in.”
“You’re a bit of a spoil sport sometimes.” Bull grumbled, still willing to lower his axe. “What do you have in mind?”
“Do we still have that war bow?” Lex asked, smirking in a way that seems as mischievous as his sister.
The Chargers took their place by the walls of the alcove, Krem is above everyone. Of course, Lex stood front of us all. Should have suspected that smug elf would make himself, the most important piece.
Lex’s magic ignites the edge of his sword into a blaze. He dashes at the dracolisk, almost flying like a comet. The first swing of the mage’s sword connects, the exposed red stained skin of the dracolisk sizzled. It has the stench of firewood from a bog, at least the plan works, blood didn’t spatter elsewhere.
He’s keeping his distance with every strike he lets out, he skips away and runs for the corners. Maybe throwing a fireball if he has the distance. Helps that the dracolisk doesn’t seem to react as fast, probably in too much pain to.
Lex doesn’t claim it, but he’s as flashy as most the other mages Bull knows. The light show instead is in his sword he likes to carry and fancy footwork. It’s a good thing that Lex doesn’t brag about it, the thought having another Dorian or Vivienne makes Bull shiver. Not that he has anything against them.
Good too, that he’s working for dirt cheap.
Krem finally lets out an roped arrow from his war bow, it pierces the dracolisk’s hide clean through the ribs. It’s now staggered, moments enough to allow Krem to tie the other end of the rope to a stalactite. Now the Chargers are finally allowed to have their fun.
“Chargers! Go for the kill.” Bull points his fingers at the battered beast.
He lets the Chargers rush in and finish business by themselves, instead attending to the one most fatigued from starting the fight. The elf barely takes a second to catch his breath and needing to lean on his sword as he did, still he’s already itching to lift it up and go back to battle. Bull throws his arm around Lex’s shoulders before he can.
“Smartass.” He snickers, crunching the elf his arm in a tight squeeze. “Enjoyed your time being the big shot?”
“It worked, didn’t it?” Lex chuckles, it sounding like wheezing.
“It did.” Bull nods, hugging Lex tighter. “Just don’t keep showing off, we don’t need to confuse everyone on runs things here.”
Nor will it work, every time but tonight Lex can have his victory.

The First Great British Guitar Band of the 21st Century
(NME, October 1999 after the release of Showbiz)
Oh the angst! The Pain! Searching for truth in a meaning less world..
Such is life in Teignmouth. Just ask Muse, three lads who've escaped small-town hell to be the toast of America. This just looks silly.
Three 21-year-olds from the sleepy fringes of Devon, lording it up in a glitzy Manhattan hotel lounge, chomping gleefully on tree-trunk cigars like they've just shagged New York senseless and eaten the entire music business for dessert. Any minute now these straggly indie-kid interlopers are sure to be turfed out on to the sidewalk with all the other guitar toting losers, back to their Transit van world. See ya. Keep dreaming, suckers. Except this never happens. Because even if they remain just above toilet-gig level at home. Muse are trainee rock royalty in America right now. Madonna herself beat half-a-dozen bidders to sign the youngsters to her Maverick label last November. Which is why the Teignmouth trio are billeted in New York for three weeks of back-to-back promotion for an album that hasn't even been released yet.
When British record companies sniffed around Muse, they declared them 'the new Radiohead' and shuffled away. When American labels saw them in New York's CMJ in November, they declared them 'The new Radiohead!' and formed a queue to sign their asses on the spot - cultural differences or Brit snobbery? Probably a bit of both, as Muse are more than the new Radiohead - they're the new Pixies, Nirvana, Mansun, Queen and Guns N' Roses too. And in their own broody intense way, they are about to explode.
Matthew Bellamy (singer/guitarist), Chris Wolstenholme (bass) and Dominic Howard (drums) were thrown together in a dark place of stagnation and decay, despair and degradation. It's called Teignmouth. Just below Torquay on the English Riviera, Teignmouth is a black hearted realm of eternal torment from which few souls emerge unscathed. Beneath its sleepy surface of genteel retirement homes and crazy-golf ranges, something deeply wicked festers in the remorseless south Devon sun. Possibly. "It's sort of like Torquay without the nightclubs" shudders Dom. Sounds pretty sinister. Like one of those elegantly shabby red-brick English towns where it's forever 1952 apart from the raging crack problem... "I think the best way to describe Teignmouth would be if we sent you the article that was printed on the front page of the local paper," sneers Matthew. There's a picture of the mayor of Teignmouth putting our CD in the bin because apparently we said in some interview that Teignmouth is a boring place, full of drug-takers. He said "I don't know who these drug-takers are, no-one takes drugs here...' Hahaha! That gives you an idea of what the town is like." Naturally, growing up in a stifling backwater run by rock-hating killjoys straight out of Footloose, the Muse boys were sometimes suicidally bored. They even resorted to doing 'dodgy stuff' on occasion.
There was a whole lot of nights when there was nothing to do and the only stuff that was fun to do was music," recalls Matthew. "You ended up doing dodgy stuff like breaking in to swimming pools, just because that was something to do. Most of the friends we had have either gone to University or become drug dealers." Ooh, the mayor will love that. Picture a bonfire of NME's outside the town hall. But at least the nascent Muse had something to kick against. And kick they did, starting with their debut sixth form gig five years ago. "The first gig we ever played together was a Battle of the Bands contest," says Matthew. "We wore loads of make-up, played loads of trashy punk stuff and got the crowd to invade the stage and smash all our gear. And we won! That's the weird thing. Because we beat all these bands that were really technically proficient, bands that sounded like Jamiroquai. People were shouting, you fucking cunts!' That totally affected our view of what music's about - it's not necessarily about music, it's about really believing in what you're doing."
So Muse kept plugging away, ignoring their critics, trashing their gear, dreaming of the big league. They eventually signed with a West Country management company and won a UK record deal with Mushroom, home of Garbage. And now, five years later, Madonna owns their souls. Sweet revenge on snobby old Britain and tight-arsed little Teignmouth, right? "That's what started us but I don't think that's what we're doing now," says Matthew. "The stuff we write now is more of a realisation of what the world's like. It's easy to blame stuff on a small town but then you go out there and you realise that some of the attitudes that you thought were just in your small town are actually all over." Muse's debut album is called 'Showbiz'. Oh yes. Most first albums contain two or three half-great peaks padded out with fillers. 'Showbiz' has a dozen tracks. ALL of which are heart-wrenching Wagnerian uber-anthems with fiery Spanish rhythms seismic meta-choruses and bile-spewing ultra-lyrics from the scabrous depths of Matthew Bellamy's charred-black heart. In other words, it's fucking great. But, bloody hell, is it miserable. Not trouser-fumbling hey-nonny-no Belle and Sebastian wistful nor chest thumping Daddy-never-loved-me Pearl Jam feel-my-pain self pity. Not even beautifully desolate and fragile like Thom Yorke, but aaaargh! post-apocalyptic heart-on-skewer Nick Cave tormented and urrrgggh! self-lacerating edge-of-darkness Ian Curtis fucked-up desperate. Heroically, bracingly, cathartically tragic. Hooray!
And yet Matthew seems like a pleasant well-balanced chap in person. Why the long face Sadboy-Slim? "Erm.... is this the time or the place?" Matthew wonders nervously "I don't think it is. Aren't we all tormented in some way? I've always had trouble.... I think it's like existentialism or something. The problems I'm having, if everyone else is having them the world's a scary place." Is miserable music some kind of perverse comfort in a cruel world? "All I can say is some of the music I listened to when I was young was like how we sound," shrugs Matthew. "That emotional deep stuff was what made me feel good because someone else out there is saying things the same as me. I used to listen to a lot of blues - Robert Johnson, Ray Charles I think that music was way deeper than I could have understood but for some reason it spoke to me."
Of course, Muse will be roundly mocked for taking themselves so seriously. But cynics said the same thing about Nirvana at the end of the '80s. Remember these boys are only 21, hurtling into a new millennium with their emotional wounds wide open. "I think things pick up generally towards the start of every decade." nods Matthew, spotting light at the end of a very long, very dark tunnel. "In 2000 or 2001, people will start getting more positive. There's a lot of fear hanging around which people are trying to deny but there is. And when that's over hopefully there will be a positive thing. Either that or extremely negative, hahaha! And it will all be over..." The first great British guitar band of the 21st century has arrived. Enjoy them while there's still time.

7. Post a snippet from a wip
With Barnaby’s portions in hand, Kotetsu carefully steps out of the kitchen, walking into the living room with a soft smile on his face. He sets the bowl down against a small coffee table just a few feet away from the couch. (Also bought on one of Kotetsu’s mentions).
“Here you go, baby bunny.” He softly says as he sets the water down next to it.
A flush of red on Barnaby’s face from the extra sweet term of endearment. “Thank you.” He says in despite of that coyness.
“Of course.” Kotetsu smiles. “Here, let me…”
He trails off, but when Barnaby shifts ever so slightly, he’s already on the move to help him reposition himself. With how his partner had his leg clutched, he’s obviously in pain, and moving himself around too much makes it flare up worse. Though with someone to help, it eases the strain.

13. Do you listen to music while you write? If yes, what have you been listening to recently?
It varies, but more often than not I've got something playing to keep me from getting too distracted. I tend to put on songs without words, or songs that I've heard over and over and haven't gotten sick of yet.
Lately when I've been writing, due to my faltering mentality, I've been listening to this and this to keep me both distracted and focused as possible. 🎧
22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?
95% percent of the time I come up with the tile before I even start writing. It's hard for me to start if I don't have a good title. I can think of an idea, flesh it out in my head, but until I come up with a title it stays there lol!
I come up with titles from songs, not-so-common words, or smashing two words or things together. It varies depending on the idea.
34. How much personal/life experience do you include in your fics?
A lot. Writing is usually how I process a lot of thoughts and feelings I don't normally allow myself to have or act on. Or its experiences I want to have, or things I was denied when I was younger that I can give myself through words now. Maybe even just to think 'wouldn't it be fucked up if this happened??' and going with it lol 😂
45. What genre/trope do you tend to write the most?
My go-to trope is tied between hurt/comfort and fluff and my go-to trope is friends to lovers.
Hurt/comfort has always been a good push and pull for me. I love writing how characters would react/act to bad/painful/stressful situations, and when the tension dies down, having something or someone warm, soft and comforting waiting to help pick them back up.
And fluff is just, so sweet and fun to write. I've always had a knack for the cute, fun stuff in writing and art. Just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside hearing it. Ties in very well with hurt/comfort too, like an extra layer of glue. 👌
And friends to lovers has always been a thing I've gravitated towards even as a child. Mainly based on my own experiences.
When watching movies, reading books and playing games I always thought 'how could someone just fall for someone they don't even know? I wish X went for their best friend, they've known each other for so long! It seems unfair!' (might've been the demi/ace in me too lol 🖤🤍💜)
There's a connection between friends, especially friends that grew up together. They've seen the other through every stage of their life, shared secrets and late nights and pinkie promises, adventures and heartaches all the same - I always thought what's more intimate and special for a partner than that? 💗

100th Post Celebration! Wahoo!!
Hello everyone! Yes you read that right, I've officially reached 100 posts on this tumblr! How exciting!
I know it's not really that crazy of a milestone, but considering this blog was completely inactive not too long ago, I'm happy to see it. It's become a blog I really enjoy and genuinely love coming to update and make little posts about video games on. And I hope you all enjoy seeing me talk on and on about random games too!
Also this account randomly jumped from under 10 followers to just over 50 this year. Which again isn't a lot but still its NUTS to see. I know a lot of you followed specifically for gifsets and I haven't made any in a hot minute. But I appreciate you still being here and maybe even enjoying my ramblings about games I play? Probably not... Maybe?
Regardless if you only read whatever interests you, if you somehow have the mental fortitude to read EVERYTHING, or don't read anything at all and are just wondering where the gifs are. I do appreciate you being here!
Mainly I just wanted to make this post to give a bit of an update on what's happening here. In the new year I still plan to run this blog the exact same way as I did this year. At this point I REALLY like the set up I have for posting my game thoughts and prefer much MUCH more over the old way of sharing thoughts through twitter threads. And I have no intentions of stopping, so I hope you look forward to seeing all the random stuff I play in the coming year!
Outside of just afterthoughts stuff, I do want to make more gifs. I haven't even really scratched the surface of what I could do with just the dozens of smash bros. games, mods, and fangames I have on my computer. And there's tons of other stuff I could make gifs of, and if they do become popular enough I may even consider taking game requests eventually (no promises though)
I have also been considering making some videos for more visually focused afterthoughts or to facilitate my more insane brain worm fueled video game ramblings. Like maybe gushing about random Xbox 360 RPGs or ramblings about Smash Bros. characters. This is just a concept though cause I REALLY don't want to become a youtuber and would only make videos for fun cause I think the stress of doing it regularly would kill me.
Then of course I have a lot of work to do, both for games I'm a part of and my own personal games like Once Upon An Adventure! I really want to buckle down and get some good progress done on it in 2024 (I say this every year so don't hold your breath lmao). But sadly I will also be moving in the first part of 2024 which will, as all moves are, be a long and stressful process. So I probably won't get a TON of gaming done for a bit outside of smaller games and maybe playing some old stuff I've been sitting on for a bit. But we'll see.
Regardless, thank you all VERY much again for your continued support and your interest in anything I say even though it's all pretty much pointless ramblings of an insane person. Look forward to more video game stuff from your pal Bahamutgreen in the future.
