i didn't have super high hopes for the barbie movie going into complex feminism and political issues or anything considering its made by mattel but the right-wing and male reaction honestly had me really hopeful that i was wrong and that the barbie movie is trying to say something radical. and then i saw the movie and its just like. the most basic boring surface-level feminism movie ever. the most political thing they say is that women have it really rough under the patriarchy which like. yeah obviously. its also extremely nice to men like its clear that the kens turn bad not out of malice but misguidance and ryan gosling ken gets whole musical numbers and a whole arc about finding himself and getting to know ken w/o barbie. even the all-male leadership at mattel is depicted as well-meaning albeit buffoonish at times. so the fact that men and right wing audiences are claiming that the movie is anti-men or is this super radical film is just. incredibly sad to me. like even a movie this non-political with such surface-level corporate feminism is offensive to you? and even the leftists are acting like its revolutionary somehow. if your boyfriend didnt realize how bad women have it before seeing the fucking barbie movie you need to get a new boyfriend. idk. its just disappointing all around to see something as basic as "women have it rough" treated like its a revolutionary concept and it makes me genuinely despair for the future of women that the barbie movie is the most feminism some people have been exposed to. and even that little amount is too much for some people.

desperate mithrun just makes me GIGGLE like the meme i made takes it a bit far for comedy's sake but it's like. this guy who only recently began to live for something else other than revenge and it's thanks to kabru and suddenly kabru dissapears his from life because he has a "job" . we've already seen mithrun go sulky when kabru doesn't side with him despite having valid reasons not to LOL (sfx: hmph)

i truly can see the momentary disconnect (i doubt this lasts very long or at least doesn't manifest obviously. mithrun is a quiet and ultimately rational guy) where he's like "... i thought kabru was gonna stay with me though?" and not even necessarily in a romantic light (for starters anyway). just in the way that mithrun just counted on kabru's companionship, but when adult schedules and establishing a kingdom collide, i think kabru would also equally have a hard time giving up what he works very hard for (protecting humans/short-lived races and being able to help govern so that this is possible). i can absolutely see kabru accidentally neglecting his relationships for too long, and not realising until his party intervenes, or mithrun 'hmph's at him again and he's like '..what did i do.'

I love this panel so much. I mean what is making him react like this specifically? Did he see the way OFA's energy around Izuku's eyes stopped, how he almost instantly calmed at the sight of Bakugou? Tomura was trying to make Izuku angry and frustrated, maybe make him give in to those feelings and let loose, which sort of reflects Tomura when you think about it, how he has yet to let go of the hatred in his own heart and, deeper than that, the guilt he feels surrounding his family. Tomura hasn't been able to let go of his anger in 15 years and Izuku, watching All Might's almost-death literally seconds ago, instantly controlled his heart and knew what to do. All because he saw the person he cared so much about come back to life

I wonder what Tomura thinks about that, and deep down, what he wouldn't give for that to happen to him

Boy, the top liked tiktok under the winx brandon search never fails to piss me off. The tiktok was a screen-record of the S4 scene where Mitzi kisses Brandon and Stella is shocked.

The entire comment section is bashing Brandon like....bro.

Its flooded with comments like "Stella should have broken up with him", "All the specialists are red flags" and "Stella deserves better"

i'm watching street dance of china for the first time (randomly chose s3 to watch). actually being able to watch them dance should be given but having seen only swf/smf for my judgment of dance shows, i need mnet to fire their editors..... smf is so hard to watch with how many random cuts they throw in of audience reactions and camera angles.....

oh sdc will SPOIL you for watching dance shows. they film and edit the dancing so well, it makes mnet's editors look like toddlers hitting a keyboard. s3 is definitely the best place to start bc that's when they upped the production and brought in big name idols to be captains, so even though it's not the first season, it is kind of the starting point for what sdc is now. i still periodically go back and watch some of the routines from s3 bc they're so good (the original huang xiao+qiao zhi routine!!! chunlin's tonight!! the water stage!!!) and also the captain combo is so fucking funny; you get incredible dancing and then you also get whatever comes out of jackson 'i dont understand chinese' wang's mouth. also the battles. the battles. there's a fucking insane seven to smoke that happens in one of the later episodes that goes on for over half an hour and it is one of the most intense television viewing experiences i've ever had.
