Dean winchester x fem reader

Chapter 1

Previous chapter

Summary: A case takes you to your hometown where you have the displeasure of running into a very shitty ex boyfriend. Dean doesn't seem to take this too well.

Warnings: cursing, violence, suggestions of domestic violence, suggestions of sexual assault

You were in your room reading a book when Dean knocked on your door and peaked his head in.

"We got a case."

"I'll start packing." You grinned.

You still mostly did cases on your own, but every now and again you and Dean would team up. You enjoyed spending time with him, he was funny and charming, though he could be a tad immature at times. And he was an excellent hunter, you two seemed to read each other's minds, working together seamlessly.

You'd been on the road for half an hour before you asked Dean the details of the case.

"Definitely a werewolf. Three people dead, all missing their hearts."

"Pretty cut and dry. Where exactly are we going?"

"Greer, Arizona."

You felt yourself tense. If you'd known that's where the case was you'd have never agreed to go.

Dean glanced at you, "Whats the deal?"

You bit your lip, it was a small town so there was no way you wouldn't run into people you knew. You could only hope he had moved on.

"That's uh-thats my hometown. So people will recognize me."

"That may make things a little more complicated but we can handle it. You might need a new badge though." He frowned.

"Not to worry, I have one with my real name on it. You never know when you'd need it."

"Smart girl."

You grinned. Dean had gotten more comfortable with you the last few months, hed even started using pet names with you. Itd been a little strange at first, but you didnt mind it. Actually, it seemed they'd all started to accept you as part of the family. It made you feel good, to have people who cared.

The two of you talked for awhile during the drive, you made the mistake of asking about that doctor TV show he loved so much. He went on and on about Dr. Sexy.

Soon enough you'd reached Greer, you looked out the window, familiar sights passing you. The memories were coming back.

Sneaking out into the woods at night with your friends, seeing who'd get scared first. Spending your Friday nights at the diner. You tried to push away the bad memories that kept trying to pop up, but it was hard to forget the things he'd done.

You pulled into the parking lot of one of the local cabin places. The town didn't really have a motel, so you'd have to rent a cabin. Dean approached the man at the front desk and you turned to browse some pamphlets by the front door.

"Checking in?" He asked, offering a smile.

"Ah no, we wanted to ask if there was a cabin we could have for a couple days." Dean answered.

"Oh I'm sorry we don't really do last minute reservations. Maybe try another place?"

You recognized that voice, you turned around.

"Jessie?"

"Holy shit, y/n. Is that really you?"

"Uh yeah. Wow it's been forever."

"No kidding. What? Eight, nine years now?"

"Yeah, how are you?"

"Its been...mixed. Mom's letting me run this place now. But uh, Des, Minnie, and Robin. Well...they were killed."

"Wait the deaths are them? Oh my god. Me and my partner are working that case right now. I had no idea."

"Partner? Case? You a fed now?"

"Yeah. FBI."

"Thats...wild. I knew you'd wind up doing something cool. You weren't suited to staying here in this tiny town."

You smiled, "It's mostly paperwork honestly. But I enjoy it."

"Well it's good to see you. Let me see what I can do for you."

"You're a lifesaver Jay."

"The only one available is a one bedroom. Everything is booked up, you know how it is this time of year."

"That's fine. We'll figure it out. Seriously, thank you."

"No problem. Let me know if I can help with anything. Oh, and Liz is working at the police station now so she'll probably be the one to talk to for the case."

"Sounds good. I'll see you later."

"Sure thing." He said, handing you to the key.

"You know where the Eagle Cabin is right?"

"Yup."

"Good luck then."

"Thanks!"

You and Dean made your way out to the car and back to the cabin, "Guess I'm glad I took you and not one of the others."

You chuckled, "Guess so."

The two of you made your way into the cabin, dropping your things on the kitchen table and then taking out your suits.

"Dibs on the bathroom!" You called behind you as you rushed into the bedroom and then into the bathroom.

"You little minx!" He shouted, but you could hear the grin in his voice.

A few minutes later the two of you were ready to go, on your way to the police station.

"Desmond Jones, Minnie Smith, and Robin Elward. All of them found dead, with their hearts ripped out."

Liz gave you a list of where the crime scenes were, as well as the addresses of the families and of the victims.

You and Dean interviewed the families, as well as Robin's roommate. None of them could really give you anything of use, except for Robin's roommate, Alyssa. She said something about them all falling out with Jessie, but she didn't know why.

"So, you think it's this Jessie guy?" Dean asked.

"I want to say no, he was such a sweet guy when we were younger. Kind and considerate. But being turned changes you, it's entirely possible he's a completely different person now."

You bit your lip, "It's getting late. Why don't we get some food and pick it up in the morning. We can interrogate Jessie and his girlfriend."

"Sounds like a plan."

The two of you returned to your cabin and changed back into your everyday clothes before heading to the diner.

At the diner you were recognized by a few of the staff and other patrons, chatting with them before sitting down at a booth.

"I remember their burgers being pretty good. Their country fried steak ain't too bad either."

"Both sound pretty good. I think I might get-"

"Hey y/n."

The voice made your stomach drop. You looked up, and there he was. Evan. The boyfriend you'd left behind when you'd ditched this town.

"I see you're back. You didn't come see me." His voice was cold, his eyes were blank.

"I uhm-"

"It was pretty bitchy of you to leave like you did."

"My parents had just died-"

"Do I look like I give a shit?"

You swallowed and stared down at your hands in your lap. Suddenly you were back to your 20 year old self, terrified and submissive.

Dean looked between the two of you.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked.

"I could ask you the same question. Are you her new boyfriend? You know she's not worth shit right?"

Dean's jaw clenched, "I think you need to walk away now."

"Or what?" Evan sneered.

Dean stood, getting right up into Evans personal space, "Or I'll take you outside and kick your ass so hard you'll wish you were dead."

Evan stared at him for a second before backing down, he turned to you.

"Watch yourself y/n. Wouldn't want something to happen to you." He hissed.

Once Evan was out the door Dean say back down and looked at you.

"Y/n who the hell was that?"

"My um-he was my boyfriend back when I still lived here."

"What'd he do to you?" His tone was hard.

"Nothing." You answered quickly. Too quickly.

"Bullshit it was nothing. You're shaking and I've never seen you so...scared. You can talk to me sweetheart."

He was right, you were shaking. Your anxiety had risen astronomically since Evan had shown up.

You looked about at Dean, you could see the concern in his eyes as he looked at you. You took a deep breath.

"He um. He got kind of physical when we fought or if I did something wrong. And...and he was um touchy."

"I'll kill him." Dean stood, ready to stalk out the door after Evan. You stood and grabbed his arm.

"No! Don't. Please. It was a long time ago."

"He still did it. And he should be punished."

"Dean." You pleaded, he turned to look at you, "Please."

He frowned, "Fine. But if he shows up again I'm beating his ass."

You sighed in relief as you both sat back down. Soon enough your waitress came by and you ordered.

You were fiddling with your straw wrapper while you waited, carefully avoiding eye contact with the man across from you. You were ashamed and embarrassed. You didn't want him to think of you as weak.

"Hey." Dean cleared his throat.

"I know you can take care of yourself, but if something like that ever happens again you tell me alright? I'll handle it."

You gave him a half-hearted smile and nodded. That seemed to be enough for him as he nodded and sat back in his seat.

When your food came you two were quiet at first, until Dean asked you about that movie you'd tried to get him to watch the other night.

It quickly pulled you out of your funk, telling him about the characters and how well written it was and how much you loved the costumes the actors wore.

Dean was relieved to see you smiling again, to see your eyes lit up. The you he'd seen when Evan approached you was a you he never wanted to see again.

christmas go brr

realized i have a startling lack of fandom stuff. (..and a stupid amount of hoodies for those i do get as a person who doesnt even wear hoodies that much.. oops.)

so. i. got. stuff. and im gonna show you. cause this blog is all for random stuff that i share that people probably wont care about but i dont care haha

The first thing that arrived. Basil keychain :DD

I don't have an actual picture of it and i kind of cant cause i attached it to my phone. and its kind of hard to unlink it off? i have like one of those wallet phone cases and since its not meant to be an actual phone charm (as in, it'd probably have like a string you tie around a hole and boom?) i had to clip it around like the camera hole. which youre probably not meant to but i see a hole im taking it. i dont really use bags that often anyway

2. gojo keychain

he was soldout when i first went to actually go buy it. but then it got restocked so yEAHH, arrived pretty fast imo. (theres a suguru one too)

..i. also. hanged it on my phone. but also it took a lot of careful maneuvering to get it in so i cant really be bothered to take it off. or even try to. very pretty, one of the sides glitter if you change the angle)

i got like the hoo ones (or im pretty sure its hoo. gaea. prophecy. seven. its been a hot minute since ive thought about it)

and depending on which one you get, you can customize which cabin or roman god you get. i went with like pluto i think

you can also choose the color. very cool

last thing im waiting on are some vanitas earrings

admittedly. i kind of have like a. sort. of. sensitivity towards mixed metals? something like that (i have no clue if its count as an allergy)

but i think its like a delayed reaction. and im too dumb to know the difference of whats good and what isnt?

basically. if it triggers anything. i can just wear it for short periods of time, no harm, cause otherwise itd be fine (i had another set of earrings that triggered something, but nothing actually happened until awhile later)

if anything, it'd be fun to attach it to something and still look nice

anyway. i should probably lay off on getting more keychains. but its either that or like standees of characters?? i dont use stickers that often, i dont use pins (i dont really use bags that often??), i dont wanna get stuff thats just gonna waste space so im just stuck here getting decorative stuff to attach onto things. aghh

It feels like gabbys in like a constant cycle of having smth tragic happen 2 her and then after days of being upset over it she decides to change and try to deal w the problem by just making friends (as in thats just how she met angel and kathee)

Anyway thinking maybe after her kinda processing the fact that the gods r real and her dad is one of them angel is like idk man maybe we should start tryna talk to people here and shes like hm ok. And she finds out theres a volleyball court there and shes like this looks ok and tries 2 join in and thats when she meets kathee cuz its like. Obv ppl know theres a dionysus kid now for the first time in a bit and she hadnt come out to do anything until now and its also kathees first summer there so shes like yk what idk whats so special abt this girl but shes cool im gonna b her friend 👍 and so they become friends

Since shes a cabin counselor (shes literally the only one in her cabin she doesnt have a choice) i think the other counselors there would help out w her getting used 2 camp n what 2 do so shes like 👍 Ok i have new ppl who r nice 2 me here thats cool

💀Until the ares cabin does their toilet initiation thing and shes like dude wtf????? what is ur problem and they start fighting and like one of her counselor friends (i have yet 2 decide who) is like ok guys chill tf out leave her alone ummm and they go the showers for gabby 2 clean herself and shes like man ig i gotta watch out 4 some ppl here but at least i have nice guys w me so hopefully itll b cool

After that she gets more like used 2 how camp is n stuff but doesnt rlly start talking 2 dionysus properly til like near the end of the summer and then her 2nd summer she starts being more like in2 being w him n stuff. Abt her mom i think maybe she was iris messaged by like . Shit idk maybe even dionysus . or maybe angel once he found out that was a thing and decided to tell her abt it after he called his mom (side note i think itd be silly cute awesome if dionysus kinda pulled him aside and was like hey u gotta help her get like better n stuff i get it if she doesnt talk 2 me n stuff but i dont want her 2 b mega depressed every day now and angels like oh um ok sir [fearing 4 his life] so then after that angel kinda like helps her out w stuff how he can [like suggesting places / ppl to hang out w since hes like glued 2 serenitys side and shes also sporty cool like gabby is])

Thinking maybe she n angel have like a mini like conflict or wtva about him feeling left out n stuff cuz she spends a lot of her time doing sportsy training stuff or being w her other friends and he was used 2 them being each others like main guy they hang out w but its like. Not spoken about much cuz he doesnt wanna sound mega dependent on her n stuff and obv shes her own person she can do what she wants. Tbh this is still a point in the current story cuz i literally have a bit where he hangs out w milan for a bit in sadness cuz shes busy doing magic stuff w nishith and itzel? Also i dont mean that gabby got sick of him or wtva dont get the wrong idea she still has him as The #1 Guy ever shes just busy w other stuff a lot to keep her from thinking 2 much abt like . Life (girl cannot b alone w her thoughts)

I didnt proofread any of this i hope i didnt contradict myself much or anything. Btw this isnt all in order of what happened i didnt mean 4 this 2 become a long post i just started talking 💀

3. Who’s your least favourite Toad in the game?

thankfully not REALLY any of them... bc my pet peeve is when mario makes toads mean. i mean like, toads can be mean. ofc. but its like, when their meanness is a vehicle to make someone (ie mario and luigi) the butt of a joke from the writers. HATE that. so luckily none of the toads do that but id probably say my least fav is the toad who lives in the picnic road cabin. picnic road toad both a. likes annoying music b. was complicit in the cutting down of grandsappy. overall pretty large bean behavior

4. Do you enjoy collecting Toads?

I DO I DO SO MUCH i love collecting things. im bad at it but it is SO fun to do. discovering toads is so fun and i get to see what wacky hijinx the toads get up to

5. Are there any Toads you wish got a design but didn’t?

THE BATTLE LAB TOAD! ARGH!!! the sensor lab toads all get lab coats so why doesnt he get anything!! at least give him a scarf or something!!!

6. Are there any Toad designs you’d change?

not really! just give the love toad something more distinct just bc knowing who he is can be a bit hard... aside from that most of my design changes would be like. adding even more unique accessories to some of the toads. like giving dj toad a beanie or giving overlook chef a chef outfit as well as a hat... i also mentioned this in the tags of another post but id also like to give t ode a black head with red spots instead of white bc i think itd look cool and itd kinda hark back to some of the color splash concept art for the pirate toads

16. Do you see the Origami Craftsman as a misguided good guy or do you think he had the potential to be a villain?

IM AN ORIGAMI CRAFTSMAN GOOD GUY TRUTHER!! ive seen a few whispers of like. craftsman could have been a bad guy or like. general confusion abt ollys ‘scrawl’ but to me he truly does feel like. THE first-time parent. how you always buy so much stuff bc you never know what you need and you think its gonna be perfect but you beat yourself up if something doesnt go as planned (craftsman says he wont go along bc he failed once and he’ll probably fail again...) worlds most poor little meow meow dad

Simon and Min hitting off for a while due to their similar introverted traits instead of Grace and Min could be interesting, I think. Also their mutual friendliness isn't going to last though. That reminds me, will Tuba still be killed in this AU? I imagine Ryan and Min-gi would be savvy enough to see the obvious risks of leaving Simon alone with Tuba, especially if they still visited the Cat's cabin.

yea i think most interactions between the 4 would be interesting!! s why aus like it are so fun loll, i just think having it work out w grace gettin on mins good side while ryan becomes a lot more wary of the whole situation due to simon makes for a dramatic narrative (itd probably worsen the wedge between ry and min since itd kinda play into their traits that started their mess in the first place, ryan wanting to run off while min thinks its better to stay where theyre at)

ive thought of 2 potential plots regarding tuba, i can imagine min rushing ryan into the camp car before ryan can intervene simon (and min later feeling kinda super guilty abt the whole tuba dying thing) or ryan stealing simons harpoon pack to save tuba, which ive talked abt in the past! lotsa fun ideas and possibilities,,,,

based on what my bff said it wasnt as gay in the capital than it us in the other smaller cities. here its less of an underground thing and more of an everyone knows it but cant really do anything about it thing lol.

we were going on a school trip to another city once and our principal sat us down and was like "plz dont bathe together when u r in ir hotel rooms" iendbdjbd (i would like to add that no one listened to her.) we were going there by train and at night after our teachers were asleep some girls came to our cabin cuz we had a mini party and in the morning our teacher found 9 girls sleeping in 4 beds kendhdje that was a fun trip lol

like no one is openly gay here bc like u said itd put a target on ur back but everyone had a gf and one girl "proposed" to her gf one recess.

teahcers usually couldnt do anything unless it was something explicit. for example one of my friends was caught makig out with her gf in an empty classroom so they expelled them both

Gjdgfkd yeah it's a lot more strict here my gf was from a town liken2 hours away and there were fully open lgbt peeps in her school I was so jealous at the time fjfhfj but god that sounds awesome I wish there were more gays around me you literally could not find any there was like maybe one girl that got expelled bc the school found out she had a gf,,, like not even in our own school just some other girl she was dating and that was ground for expulsion

The second ‘siege’ could indeed be recorded in history. However, instead of being its scale or number of deaths, it’d be because it was the most pointless, laughable event of the cultivation world.

Wei WuXian knew at once. The closest ‘safe place’ to Yiling was the area of the YunmengJiang Sect. He asked, “So you intend on going to Lotus Pier next?”

Inside of the cabin, as Jin Ling heard this, he immediately rushed out with his sword, “A ghost? Where? I’ll kill it for you!”

Lan SiZhui, “Not a ghost—the Ghost General!”

“Pfft!”

“JingYi, what are you laughing about?”

Lan JingYi, “Look at him. He is clinging onto the boat without moving at all, almost like a big, oblivious sea turtle!”

(SAME, BABY. SAME. ME AND JINGYI HAVE THE SAME REACTIONS, MY BOY.)

[...] Lan JingYi, “What is there to be scared of? It is not like you have not seen him before!”

(THE VOICE OF REASON. WEN NING AND JINGYI BROTHERHOOD. I'M HONESTLY CRYING AT HOW PURE MY SON IS GOOD JOB BABE)

EDIT 7:

Wen Ning stared at Lan SiZhui’s face as he walked toward him. Lan SiZhui noticed that he was here for him. He steadied himself as Wen Ning asked, “Wh-What is your name?”

(I AM SCREAMING. I AM SCREAMING SO MUCH MY THROAT HURTS. I'M CRYING AS WELL. I JUST NEED WEN NING TO KNOW HE IS NOT ALONE IN THE WORLD AND FOR SIZHUI TO REMEMBER AND REALISE BOTH WHO HIS BLOOD AND NOT-BLOOD FAMILIES ARE.)

EDIT 8: sizhui saying his name is lan yuan is breaking me

EDIT 9:

Dead people had no expressions, but Lan SiZhui was under the illusion that he thought he saw Wen Ning’s eyes light up.

He also thought that Wen Ning was feeling very excited, so excited that he stammered as he spoke. He himself began to feel excited as well, as though they were about to reveal a secret hidden for years.

Oh gods in the universe spare me.

EDIT 10:

"You really look like a distant relative of mine"

Szjahdiudicishcoshcoshxodhd WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY HEART RN THIS IS SO SWEET AND SAD AND BEAUTIFUL AND PURE AND PLS PLS GIVE THESE BABES A JOY. PLS LET THEM HUG AND TALK ABOUT FAMILY AND JUST GIVE THEM THIS. GIVE THEM THIS PLS, I NEED IT AS WELL *sobs*

EDIT 11:

For something, watching the ‘Ghost General’, a deeply sour sense of familiarity rose up amid Lan SiZhui, along with a blurry thought—he seemed to have seen this face some place, some time ago. It seemed that there was a name that almost broke through some sort of a barrier. If he said the name out loud, many other things would resurface as well, and he’d understand everything.

BABY YES PLS REMEMBER ABOUT BIG BROTHER XIAN AND LWJ AND GRANNY AND WEN QING AND WEN NING AND ALL THE OTHERS PLS THE MEMORY YOUR FAMILY IS STILL THERE

EDIT 12:

But at this point, Lan SiZhui saw Jin Ling, who stood at the side.

After some silence, Wen Ning changed his wording, “Young Master Jin Ling?”
