One feature I really like about Maldini (and his sons even) that isn't really acknowledged is the sharpness of his teeth, to the point where they look like little fangs (kinda like muller)
I know it sounds stupid but pics like this really fuel my stupid vampire AU thingy (also Daniel's canines are even more prominent and sharp but I couldn't find a high resolution pic)

WAIT is Lamine Yamal Catalan?? I knew he was born in Catalunya, but I don't know if he considers himself Catalan (or even if he speaks Catalan).
I ask this because I saw a Spanish ultranationalist on twitter saying it was "disrespecful" that Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal played for the Spain NT, and people in the replies/quotes were like "yeah, because they're actually Basque and Catalan, not Spanish! ;)"
Yes, he's Catalan, he was born in Mataró and grew up in Granollers.
There's no reason to think he doesn't consider himself Catalan. He was born and raised here, so it's obvious to everyone that he's Catalan. And he speaks Catalan perfectly, you can see an example in this video clicking here.
I was thinking why would this be a question, so I can give a better answer. I think you might have asked it thinking the situation of Catalans is similar to, say, Native American cultures: when someone moves to the USA, they and their children don't become part of any Native American culture, because nowadays they're a minority and often live separated, so becoming part of that culture isn't normalized, instead people become part of the broader (mostly Euro-)American culture. Is that something similar to what you were thinking? It's not like that for us, we are not a small minority that stands aside. We are a national minority because we are a minority in the states that control our country (Spain, France, Italy), but inside Catalonia we're not a minority. If you grow up here and go to a public school, you will know Catalan because it's what we mostly use in school. Being Catalan isn't difficult either, it just means you're from, living in or somehow related to the Catalan Countries. I think it would be very unusual for someone to have grown up here and not consider themselves Catalan, I can only imagine that happening if it's some kind of political statement (like that Spanish nationalist journalist in right-wing TV that says he's "ex-Catalan" because he had the disgrace of being born here but he redeemed himself lmao).

What I think the England NT players would be like on a night out together…
lol as i’m writing this england are getting beat 1-0 against italy xxxxx
jordan henderson
one of the dads. his partying days are long gone, you won’t catch him getting mortal. he’ll have a few pints but will leave it at that - he doesn’t want to disappoint the missus. you’ll find jordan in the corner of the pub/club with harry maguire and harry kane (the other dads) observing the rest of the lads and making sure they don’t get into too much trouble.
harry kane
harry is the head dad so he sticks to soda water or pepsi instead of alcohol. he’ll be the one to wrap things up at the end of the night and make sure everyone gets home safely. he’d probably be the only sober one out of all the lads tbf.
harry maguire
the final dad. big hazza would have one or two pints and would sip them slowly so that they last. you wouldn’t find him on the dance floor as the only dance move i reckon he’d be able to master would be the shuffle. he’d definitely message his wife with hourly updates and send her photos of his half finished pint captioned with the ‘👍🏻’ emoji to show that he was being sensible.
jack grealish
does. not. know. his. limit. jack would definitely be the most shitfaced out of the group. he’d be throwing back shots like it’s water and then he’d encourage everyone around him to join him. he’d end up with a killer hangover in the morning but would have absolutely no regrets and would be out the following weekend doing it all over again.
mason mount
mason basically just acts more and more like a child the more drunk he gets. 100% takes over the dance floor with dec causing the rest of the group to laugh and shake their heads. is always up for doing shots even though he knows he shouldn’t. is most likely to be the one throwing up in the toilets.
declan rice
mason 2.0 except maybe worse. dec sober is chaotic so imagine him drunk😭 absolutely tears up the dance floor and demands that ‘ice ice baby’ is played every two minutes. his go to dance move is doing knee slides across the floor like a kid at a school disco.
ben chilwell
loves the sesh. is the type of drunk to lose his phone on a night out and not realise until the morning after. doesn’t dance but loves a good sing along. will most likely be sorting his hair out in the toilet mirror whilst mason throws up.
kyle walker
everyone avoids him bc when kyle gets drunk he just talks utter shit. like way more than usual. if he manages to rope anyone into conversation he’ll just waffle on about literally anything and ask stupid philosophical questions like ‘what is the meaning of life?‘ or ‘do you think we live in a simulation?’
john stones
john gets more merry than drunk if that makes sense. basically, he drinks more than the dads but doesn’t drink as much as jack, mason and the young lads. he tends to avoid the dance floor however if valerie by amy winehouse comes on he’s up in a flash dragging kyle with him.
jordan pickford
pickford’s definitely a bit of a moody arse until he’s loosened up and had a few drinks. i think he’d be a bit like john, not too drunk but definitely not sober. when he’s had a drink i reckon jordan would make conversation with anyone, he seems like he’d be a good laugh. if he does get really drunk he’d be in the middle of the dance floor requesting hardcore drill songs.
phil foden
phil would definitely get ID’d multiple times throughout the night. he’d end up having to get the other lads to buy his drinks for him just to save the hassle of explaining his age. jack would definitely take the piss out of him for it, i can imagine him saying something like ‘awww is ickle phil too young to drink?’.
trent alexander arnold
sticks with the dads. you won’t get him on the dance floor but he does try to persuade hendo to have a little dance. trent doesn’t look like he’d drink beer so i reckon he’d drink lager or cider instead. or maybe gin idk. he’d convince the DJ to play dua lipa and then - only then - would he have a sing along.

To be honest, the only advantage of leaving Chelsea for another club could be better weather. But even though I know they love warmer temperatures and regularly enjoy vacation in Italy and Spain, I can't imagine they prioritize weather over a very competitive league, CL ambitions as realistic as in other top clubs and a city they love and where they are settled and obviously are very happy with the team on a personal level as well.
Especially with all the big tournaments with NT ahead it is very important to be challenged week by week and not only against a few opponents that can compete. My guess is they stay in Chelsea until 2025 because a Scandinavian EC would be an absolute highlight for them. And maybe afterwards other aspects can become more important. Like living in Spain for some time or even going back to Sweden to finish their careers.

This is how I imagine it after the Italy v Iceland game: random Juventus player's thoughts on SBG "I'm so happy you came to my team so I don't have to play against you in the league. Wait... I have to go up against you in every training now several days a week. Oh shit!"
That was quite the match to meet some of her new Juventus teammates 😂 Didn't quite get feisty between her and anyone, but sure did between her NT teammates and some of the Italians.
But best of luck to all the Italians dealing with her next season. 🤣

Yeah I was actually having a discussion about this. Given I'm not expert and on the surface it seems unreasonable, I think there are a few reasons.
corruption. you know there are juventus fans up to this day who say "italy will come back when juventus will come back" that's....the point lol. juventus success years embodied a lot of corruption behind it and i'm sorry for any supporter if they're reading but it is what it is. You might want to read into the biggest scandal in italian football history (x) which coincidentally happened the year italy won the world cup. like...the start of the decline you know. Just imagine in the world cup final that year, there were 8 juventus players on the field between italy and france lol. a toxic environment of mummies and the fact buffon came back from the dead to keep working within the nt...will we ever be free.
LACK OF FORWARDS. Midfield is not bad (respect to barella, one of the best midfielders in the world, but what can he do). but the lack of good forwards.
not enough investment in the youth sector
basically economy...football goes hand in hand with recession after all. the golden italian era of fotball was also the golden italian era of manufacturing italy, with lots of factories and a decent wealth etc. now there's a giant economic crisis and with less resources, manufacturing companies are not italian anymore and football goes down with the country itself honestly

“If you stare at her any harder, you’ll burn a hole through her skull.” Federico’s sister’s voice shook him from a daze.
“I’m not staring.” He was staring. He couldn’t stop staring at Jade, who was placing their order across the café.
“She’s going to notice.” Gaia gave him a gentle shove. “She’ll be back in a minute, you should ask her out.”
“And you should mind your business.”
“Ah, thank you lovely.” Gaia greeted her friend when she returned with their coffees. “Unfortunately,” she said, rising from her seat, “I’ve got to run. I completely forgot about a conference call I’m supposed to be on shortly. No, no, you stay, drink your coffee. Fede’s not that bad.” She winked at him as she hugged her friend goodbye.
Federico tried to sip his coffee casually. Jade was gorgeous and brilliant, and he’d had a crush on her for so long he couldn’t remember ever not feeling struck dumb around her. “So,” he said. “How’ve you been?”
“I’m getting a puppy!” She dug her phone from her purse, flipping through her pictures to show him a photo of a tiny newborn pup, eyes still closed. “I think I’m going to name him Huckleberry.”
“Like the book?”
“Mm hmm. Isn’t he cute?”
“Adorable. I should get another one.”
“No, you should get two. Make it an even four.” Her eyes were the brightest green. He swore they sparkled when she laughed. “What?”
He was staring again. “Oh, just… nothing. Thought I saw a… bug.” He cleared his throat. “Gaia said you were starting piano lessons?”
“I’m terrible.” She tapped her fingernails lightly against her cup. “Probably worse than you are at guitar.”
“I’m not that bad,” he protested. “I’m better than the last time you heard me play.”
“Oh?” She took a sip of her coffee, licking the foam away from her lips. “You’ll have to give me a concert.”
Federico summoned all the courage he could. “You should come over tonight.” He said the words quickly, practically spitting them out before he lost his nerve. “I’ll play for you.”
“Oh, that would be lovely,” Jade cooed. “We should get dinner first, though. There’s a place close to your house. Meet me there at seven?”
“It’s a date.”
“Is it?” Federico realized what he’d said and felt his face blush red. Even his ears felt hot. Jade just smiled. “Are we going on a date, Fede?”
“Um… well… if that’s what… if you…” Her smile remained. “Yes?”
“Good.” She bit the corner of her bottom lip. “That wasn’t so hard was it?” He tried to stammer out a response, but as was usually the case with Jade he couldn’t find his tongue. She got to her feet, and leaned over to kiss his cheek. “See you at seven.”
