#anyway i'm just mulling about the 'tism skdjfhgljhdfg #thinking about how i've been having a hard time on site with my internship because i struggle to make small talk with my superiors #and everything is uncomfortable and terrible all of the time and i feel so so out of my depth #but talking with my university superior about the methodology of our profession #has me feeling like i'm playing just dance on extreme and i'm nailing every single beat w #like quite literally is like one of those rhythm games where when you get a combo it plays a cool sound effect #and i'm playing so well the sound effects are overlapping and the screen is just an explosion of stars w #so yeah i am. very comfortable talking academics and theory and things but. shit in social situations.#when i don't have that to rely on whoops #anyway it's just another thing on the incredibly long list of things i have building in my mind of #'why i should have realized i'm probably on the spectrum sooner'#the thrilling sequel to 'how did i go 20+ years without realizing i have ADHD' w #(speaking of)#(the way my ADHD has been leaping into the spotlight this week)#(biggest highlight was being jumpscared not once)#(not twice!!)#(but THREE times by food i had bought for myself)#(put down briefly)#(and then forgotten about for upwards of 30 minutes to 5 hours)#(like the other day i bought myself a little pastry on the way home as a congrats for surviving another week)#(and i put it on the table when i came inside)#(but i. forgot i did that. and went like 4 hours without even thinking about it)#(until i got up and left my room and saw the bag and went '! ! ! ! ! ! ! OH MY GO D MY PASTRY NOOOOOOO')#(the adhd and the autism . . . . they are attacking my ass . . . . . )

Viktuuri week day 6: Love

#no one said love had to be happy #love can also be the indescribable pain of abandonment and longing because some times cupids arrow just hits at the wrong time #and i love making my little paper dolls suffer #i had actually planned on making all the pieces for viktuuri week sad or angsty in some way but i ran out of time and fluff is so much fast #but ive had this piece planned since like july so i was NOT giving it up #also this is the only piece with my trademark flower symbolism and i couldnt just not stick to my brand #the flowers used are sacred lotus; red spider lily and camellia japonica dahlonega if you wanna know their meanings in hanakotoba #look at me being nice #giving you the names instead of you having to figure it out on your own #i really do sometimes forget that other people havent spent hour long sessions researching flower language and symbolism #so like if you wanna know the meaning of a flower ive used in a piece just ask #i will happily rant about my thought process #anyway ANGST #yes i did take great pleasure in getting to draw every detail of this and especially his pained facial expession #AND THE HAIR #drawing the highlights gave me life #and just MMM i loved drawing this so much #yuri on ice #yoi #yuri on ice fanart #yoi fanart #fanart #art #arom antix art #arom antix #viktor nikiforov #viktuuri week

dungeonFebruary: a retrospective

here they are, all four maps edited together into a single dungeon over two floors!

it was a lot of fun to draw it, highlights (of both rooms and monsters) and further thoughts under the cut :D

first things first; some rooms

(you might need to click on each picture to read/see the whole thing)

just some personal favorites, rooms 15, 21, and 25 are stolen from references to stuff (if you recognize what: <3), 6 and 20 were both really fun to put together, and room 29 is the last possible trap of the dungeon :3

next up; monsters!

the first two are room spesific, the latter three random encounters, hence the numbers being written different, picking out just 5 to share was kinda hard, but im really happy with theese, yet again some of theese are stolen from inspired by stuff

now; for my thoughts on this whole thing

i had a lot of fun drawing and designing this, so much so that im kinda sad to be done, the ritual of sitting down to draw each day or to catch up on a few days was nice, and i really like designing silly little rooms and filling them with references i know my players wont pick up on

i might pick this format back up for a month or two this year and im Definetly doing dungeon25 next year, but im really happy i did this instead of trying to catch up on dungeon24 in full, doing it this way let me figure out stuff like how i want to format my notes for a larger dungeon, how many extra notebooks ill need (one for ideas and one beastiary, for now), and some general design rules for myself

all in all if you have read this far and think it looks kinda fun i say go for it! you dont need to follow a spesific month/year, thats just something i feel like doing, the point is to have a little creative challange to do each day for a set amount of days :D

doing basket-hilted sword-fighting as an eepeist goes against all muscle memory. what do you mean I step with either foot forward AND slash

i got a good grade in PT today AND i'm cleared to walk as far as i want as long as i do it on mostly-level ground :D

#pt tag #autoimmune tag #exercise tag #highlights: still scoring severely disabled but the level of disability has dropped 8% in two weeks #which according to my PT is Above And Beyond where i should be #hip strength remains SHOT so a lot of uphill walking is a no-no. adding more exercises to fix this though #i'm unlikely to graduate PT the same way i would for an injury (at least not anytime soon) since i have a chronic degenerative illness #BUT i can work toward a goal of only needing to check in every one or two months re: whether i'm doing okay.#once again i am.... so fucking blessed to have a jock's metabolism. this body sucks but is also so resilient #YAY. I GOT UP EARLY SO IT'S NICE THAT THE APPOINTMENT DIDN'T SUCK

this is an illustration from my illustrated book project !! ive been working on this whole thing for months now and its finally starting to take form and this is a v significative double page

#i painted two double pages in the past two weeks and i have to paint at least 4 or 5 before the project is complete and ive been working my #ass off betweeen doing this and going to the hospital for all kinds of exams and tests and now i have to work on a friends graduation party #as well and im just . exhausted #also i had covid for the past two weeks and its all just so much #im just trying to go on one day at a time #those 45 minutes of therapy every week have been the highlights of this past month

#negativity cw #mother mention cw #also something else about my mom & therapy vent #on Dec 22 and 23 2022 #both days she spent hours screaming at me #about many many many things #but key standouts were that she was gifting my father divorce papers for Christmas and it would be my fault #(she never did do it lmao and a year later they’re celebrating 30 years together)#that I had looked like a clown and a grandma at my college graduation a couple of weeks prior #(a few weeks later she asked if I could order the professional photos taken at the ceremony)#she also has never expressed any remorse for the 2022 winter screamfest #which just further highlights to me why I don’t care about her experience in therapy #and it is also the reason why I will never acknowledge any of my parents’ anniversaries again with anything other than #a one line no punctuation ‘Congrats’ in the family group chat #you don’t get to blame me for your adult problems in your adult union every year since I was 14 #and then expect me to celebrate that union
