Six Sentence Someday
Tagged by @orime-stories thank you!
Despite what it looks like, I am in fact ocasionally still writing, I just tend to word vomit about my current obsession and then never finish it.^^° So yeah, my last game that I finished was Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and it made me go insane, so have a part of my 1k monologue that I wrote for a potential time travel fix it. It is only 5 sentences because 6 would have been awkward, but if I ever get to it again you'll get a lot more.
"They ordered me to kill you but I couldn't do it. I would have ruined everything because I looked at you and remembered cherry blossoms and warm nights. I remembered off key lullabies and larger hands than mine on my back. I couldn't do it. And I think when you looked at me you knew that."
Gonna tag @adraveins and @stylishanachronism if you have anything you'd like to share.^^

NieR: Automata Ver. 1.1a Quick Review - Episode 1
[WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE GAME AND ANIME]
[CW: SOME DESCRIPTIONS OF ROBOGORE]
As anyone who follows me on Twitter might remember, I made a suggestion some time ago that I would do mini reviews of each episode of the NieR: Automata anime once it comes out. Well, turns out you shouldn't count your chickens before they're hatched - back when I was still playing the game, I wasn't exactly expecting it to have such an unsatisfying conclusion, and for some time in between, I was actually wondering whether I should go through the trouble of watching the anime at all. Still, I made a promise, and if there's one thing I'm not going to do, it's breaking my own word (at least until I've seen the first few episodes).
The episode begins with a scene of 2B carrying 9S through the rain while reciting the weapon story of Virtuous Treaty in an inner monologue. I suppose this is great for people who are just there for the fanservice, but personally, I would wish for a little more original dialogue regarding 2B's inner feelings (throughout the whole game, it felt like the insight we get into the main characters' psyches is sparse at best, which ultimately made it a little hard for me to empathize with them when they reached the peak of their arcs in Route C).
Meanwhile, some other contextual dialogue is completely missing. During the intro of the descent mission at the start of the game (which is the second scene in the anime), 2B has a brief chat with her Operator about the current situation while all of her squadmates are still alive; though optimistic at first, all of her comrades get shot down one by one until only she is left. It's not a terribly significant change, but it takes away some of the emotional impact.
It's the same with the "brother" machine who tries to give its buddy oil (since 2B and 9S' stories are told in parallel, there is no separation between Route A and Route B): the only thing you see in the anime is the small machine pouring oil over a dead, larger machine, and 9S monitoring the entire process. However, in the game, the small machine actually has dialogue: at the beginning, it desperately begs "brother, brother, please start moving" - and since this takes place right after Ending A, you immediately associate this with Adam and Eve (which, tbh, hit me quite hard). After the smaller one decides to fetch a bucket of oil to help his dead comrade, it still continues to plead "brother, brother, brother", which 9S comments with the remark "doesn't matter how much oil you give him, little guy - you can't make a machine your brother". So, in this case, the loss from the adaptation is actually quite severe - the proper context simply isn't there, and neither is the emotional response to it.
The flight sequence itself does look pretty good, though if you look closely, you can see some clearly visible CGI in some frames. The most noticeable instance was probably the scene where 9S meets up with 2B, with her standing in front of him while he's still in the flight unit. It's very obvious that while 2B is hand-drawn, 9S' flight unit plus himself are completely CGI, which looks kinda awkward when they're standing next to each other like that. It's a bit of a shame since I usually love the combination of 2D and 3D animation as it creates a very unique effect, but unfortunately, it looks nowhere near as seamless as in Treasure Planet or even Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Tumblr media
The pacing of the intro sequence seems a little bit off as well: 2B basically strolls through the factory without any resistance (the dialogue about the non-aggressive machines which normally takes place on the way to the Resistance Camp has been moved here), and when she finally does encounter the Goliath, she has to go down a ladder and finds it somewhere to the basement. However, the next time we see her, she's suddenly back outside on the bridge where the in-game boss battle takes place; granted, there are some brief scenes in between, but it still seems like quite a harsh cut.
The whole fight with the Goliath is also kinda funny: While you have to battle it for some time before 9S arrives to help in the game, 2B just straight up charges at it in the anime. No kidding, when she tried attacking it by jumping at its huge-ass face, I was legitimately like "girl, what exactly are you trying to do?" xD However, it's okay, since just when 2B is about to get crushed between its blade wheel arms, 9S swoops in with his flight unit and... picks her up, somehow? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's nice that 9S gets a chance to rescue 2B for once, but I couldn't help but feel that this scene looked a bit silly.
Tumblr media
Now, for my actual highlight of the episode: the hacking space. I'm a true sucker for surreal depictions of a digital space, and this is no exception. I will admit that the more simple, schematic depiction from the game probably does a better job at portraying the action of the hacking itself, but the visuals with the grid, the diving, and the firewall still looked so cool.
And to top it all off, we get treated with some AWESOME 9S ROBOGORE!!! :D I feel like this is my favorite thing about the anime so far; no matter which story they feature in, I always have the urge to see what androids look like from the inside - beneath their human exterior - and the rare glimpses we get of it in Nier Automata usually occur when 9S gets hurt. And I gotta say, they did a fabulous job of depicting that: the skin on his cheeks looks completely shaved off, and you can see the different layers of synthetic skin on his kneecap. The place where his limbs have been torn off look like a cross-section of his mechanical insides, and you can see all of the cables and wiring sticking out. It's beautiful. At some point, he even reaches into his own torso and pulls a piece of scrap lodged there - with sparks flying from his contacts and all! Whatever may follow, this was totally worth it. (Tbh, I'm wondering whether I should be ashamed; most horny guys are obsessed with 2B's butt, and I'm here simping over my best boy getting hurt. ^^')
One thing that's also… interesting, to say the least, is how they handled the Black Box reaction: in the game, they just kinda pull it out of their chests, and since there is the popular theory that YoRHa androids' Black Boxes are stored in their chest cavity, I was legitimately wondering for a moment "are they going to undress now?" xD However, they didn't have to open their torsos to take it out, but it simply just… manifested in their hands? So either, the Black Boxes work the same way as their swords (by beaming them around at will or whatever), or the Black Boxes they're holding are just kind of a "physical representation", and the detonation process is actually internal - whatever, I'm just going to assume it's one of those two.
The episode ends with 2B and 9S reuniting at the Bunker, with 9S having lost all memories of their previous encounter. In contrast to the game, the opening speech of 2B ("everything that lives is designed to end") is placed at the end of the episode. However, this time, the dialogue was actually altered: While the beginning of the line is the same, it ends on a completely different note, with 2B saying "however, if there's one thing I may wish for… I want him to be happy." As far as I remember, this is the first time 2B directly expressed any wish: a desire for 9S' wellbeing. The reason why this piqued my interest is because had any of them expressed longing for something they ultimately weren't able to achieve during the game, I probably would've done anything to make their wish come true - but as it stands, I found their inner desires to be very difficult to decipher, which led to discrepancies in me being able to relate to them (and as a result, having zero motivation to reach Ending E).
Speaking of endings, the outro of the episode was… funny, in a weird way. Basically, what they did was add a hand puppet sequence after the regular ending of the episode, which they used to explain some of the lore behind Nier Automata to the newbies. They also used this opportunity to sneak in one of the joke endings, with puppet 2B accidentally destroying the Bunker via a Black Box reaction. I'm not sure how many episodes the series is going to have, but I suppose they will sprinkle in some joke endings this way now and then. Overall, I'd say the idea is kinda cute - it's just not quite my cup of tea. (Actually, now that I think about it, "good, but not quite my cup of tea" is probably the shortest way to describe my impression of Nier Automata in general.)
The best thing about this for me is that there is no way in hell they will be able to replicate Ending E in anime format (which I infamously disliked so much that I aborted my entire playthrough because of it). So, they basically have no choice than to end the anime in a different way. I have honestly no idea if the show is going to stay pretty much a 1:1 adaptation of the game, or whether the story will deviate significantly in the future. So far, my overall impression is something along the lines of "not amazing, but serviceable" - I don't have any specific expectations though, so if I like it, I'm gonna keep watching and share my thoughts on it.

Anyway, now that I finished Hunter X Hunter (2011).. i can now provide a personal ranking of the arcs (this was asked to me before so I’m gonna do it!)
Before I give mine, i’m just gonna say that EVERY ARC is amazing. This is just based on preference.
There could be minor spoilers, so don’t read this is you have not watched HxH:
HUNTER X HUNTER (2011) ARC RANKING (from least fave to most fave
7. Greed Island - i must admit that this one felt really slow to me but it really took time for me to appreciate and enjoy. It was only until Hisoka arrived when I got the most interested ESPECIALLY the battle against Razor. That really shook it up. But Bomberman is my least fave villain. While it is an essential power-up arc, it took some pushing for me to make myself finish it. Although, i do know people WHO LOVE this arc. I guess it just was not really my favourite, but Bisky is amazing and I love the fights. I also love how it was like a Gon and Killua go on a date type of arc lol
6. Zoldyck Family - while Killua isn’t present, you come to really appreciate the trio Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. It was intriguing to see them make their way through the mansion. It was also a treat to learn and have a glimpse of who the Zoldyck family are and how they live. I also really love Canary and Gotoh.. they were amazing butlers or side characters. It was also a logical follow-up after the Hunter Exam arc
5. Heaven’s Arena - the introduction of Nen.. so well-done. It was really amazing how this turned out to be the final secret exam too. I also really enjoyed the fights. Seeing Killua and Gon in action. Also, i’ll have to single out Hisoka.. his fighting style and seeing how his Nen works. It was truly a sight to behold. It was a really great and entertaining arc packed with surprises. It was also nice how realistic it is because Gon did not beat Hisoka but he landed a punch, and it was a great way to show a debt was repaid.
4. Chairman Election - as soon as Alluka got introduced, everything just became 100x more interesting. I really love how this wrapped up the series before it went Hiatus x Hiatus lol but yeah, Pariston was a fun complex character.. didn’t expect he just enjoyed the thrill. It was also great to see Killua be in big brother mode. It was also full of twists which I really enjoyed. I did not see any of it coming. It really was a lot of mind games. I also love how it concluded Gon’s search for his father. It was a great reunion and it was built up really nicely. It was also nice to see Ging acknowledging Leorio and it was a nice way to show Leorio also became strong. Seeing the butlers in action too was great.
3. Hunter Exam - seriously... i don’t know how anyone can begin the few episodes of Hunter X Hunter and not wanna know what happens next. The exams are all puzzling and you just wanna know what will be the next challenge thrown at them and HOW THEY CAN SOLVE IT. Such a fun arc and a STRONG beginning. And yes, you see the Big Four together and in action. Full of adventure and fun. Such an amazing start
2. Chimera Ant - surprise! it’s not my most favourite.. and i will get to why. While I REALLY LOVE the conclusion, i really think this arc could have been trimmed down and it would have still left a solid lasting impression. It is a glorious arc but not without flaws. The narration parts could have showed character monologues instead and you can tell they tried to stretch out three minutes of an event into 3 episodes. It was really too long. That being said, the slow burn leading to the rising action then the end. Tbh, Chimera Ant really felt like a series in itself. It was lengthy but so rewarding. At first I was upset that Kurapika and Leorio aren’t present but you can really see why when you realise the ants are too powerful. I especially love how Killua and Gon suffered and had a hard time defeating the ants. They failed and it was satisfying to see that in a shonen anime. It really subverts your expectations. It’s even AMAZING how Gon and Killua never met Meruem who’s one of the best antagonists from any anime imo. Amazing developments too for every character introduced. You really get to love them.
I’m in awe how Hyouri Ittai (two sides of the same coin) works so well for this arc. Monsters and Humans truly can be so. It was also amazing to see how the ants became humans while the humans became the ants they feared. It really made you think and analyse humanity. And yes I cried buckets from that ending.
1. YORKNEW CITY - despite having less episodes than Chimera Ant, I can definitely say YORKNEW is the best arc imo. From the first episode, I WAS SOOO DRAWN IN. I swear this entire arc IMO is just cliffhanger after cliffhanger. I remembered I had to finish this in like a day or less than a day because IT’s JUST TOOOO FUCKING GOOD.
Kurapika’s abilities.. so fucking incredible how his nen works. The Phantom Troupe are ALSO THE BEST ANTAGONISTS or villains. They’re so powerful and scary but they all have such interesting quirks and personalities. It was also mindblowing to see how Hisoka played a chaotic neutral role in this whole ordeal. And yes, the fights ALL fights were so interesting. Chrollo is also a sexy deadly villain.
Also, how it was a shift in the tone of HxH. It suddenly became more violent and brutal. It really heightened the suspense aspect because the Phantom Troupe are so terrifying and you dont know what could happen next. Seeing the Big Four together too and working together to outsmart the Troupe. It also had really strong characters too.I also love how the ending of this arc subverts your expectations but it is such a logical end.
Like you build up in a way where the main characters will probably fight the Phantom Troupe one by one until they kill Chrollo but that never happens. The story is not yet finished and the exchange of hostages and how Kurapika’s willpower was put to the test. It had SUCH an anticlimactic end but IT WAS SO FULL of thought and meaning. It was also amazing how the prophecy played out. It was overall the strongest arc imo because in just maybe less than 20 episodes, it really left a strong impression on me.
And I AM LOOKING FORWARD to them fighting the Phantom Troupe for real this time. I’m so glad we got to see them in Chimera too because damn they’re really tough opponents and it will be nice to see how the big four will fight them.
But yeah, anywayy that ends it. Thanks for reading!

for your analysis meme: clara
This is going to be so much fun and so very tough, because Clara is such an amazingly complicated character! God, I love her so much but part of that is because she is very ambivalent and hard to describe. She is one of these characters where you can find an opposite trait for every other one she has (which is kind of the point of her). Also: I still haven’t played the Changeling route in Patho1 and I have a stronger understanding of the Patho2 universe… so bear with me. I will try my best to analyse our favorite saint.
their biggest strength
I needed to think a while about this one and the term that stuck with me was attentive cleverness. Because I really couldn’t decide if I wanted to call her attentive or clever and luckily these two can be combined into something, I find pretty precise for what I want to describe. Clara is very clever and has a lot of knowledge that not really anyone else in the patho-universe can gain (or at least the amount of it, people share bits and pieces). She is the healer most aware of the meta-narrative and at least in routes that aren’t hers is telling you either that she knows more than you do or straight out telling you something, you needed to know (and probably didn’t want to). As is obvious by her focus on hands and talking her main skill is also interaction with other people… but I think a lot of it comes from the fact, that Clara is a good listener. Which seems to be counter-intuitive because listening is assigned as Artemy’s domain in the artbook, but I think the other word used – rhythms – is pretty important here. Artemy’s skill is finding connections, intuit solutions as well as similarities and differences (there is a reason he realizes his similarities to Aglaya’s description of the inquisition) and gaining cultural knowledge that he then transforms into practical and usable abilities. Clara’s “listening” is more about singular people’s well-being and personal struggle. (She is like a good therapist. If your therapist wanted to convert you into a sacrificial religion. ^^) She interacts with her surroundings directly and attentively. I mean, she is very well informed very early on without really having a live before that or at least not in town (again, I did not play the changeling route yet and do not know her origins or how ambiguous they are kept at the end. Either way, she arrives in town at the beginning of the game and navigates her way pretty well.) However only calling her attentive sounds like the trait is a passive one which is not something I mean. Both her personas as a saint and a thief use her knowledge that is gained by being attentive in unconventional ways and/or for unconventional means. As noted in the beginning, Clara is very clever and that in combination with her noticing even small discrepancies and listening to people makes her able to peek behind the curtain of the game in the first place. It also helps to get yourself into places people normally wouldn’t want a teenage girl to be and Clara knows and is fully willing to use this ability. It is both the reason why she knows so much more about the greater scope of the disaster and also why she always seems to be able to get into any place she wants to. By the way, just as an afterthought: Of course that ability doesn’t come and is in fact enhanced by empathy. I do not think, Clara is listening to people only to use them and to gain information. You can genuinely be willing to listen to someone and still use the information you get out of these conversations. Listening carefully and actively engaging with other people is a great part of that strength!
their greatest weakness
Does “not being able to hold a knife when the town wants you dead” count as a weakness? Okay seriously, I have a really hard time to put what I consider her weakness into one expressive term. So I will talk about it first at length and then we will see. What caught my mind first was ironically Clara’s problems with communication. That might be the case because, yes, I still haven’t played her route, so I am working mostly on her ways of communication with the other healers. But Clara really has a lot of strong points that she has trouble getting across or acknowledged. Sometimes that is definitely not her fault and one of her problems is, that she is not taken seriously by other people. But trying to persuade someone to their cause and emphasizing the reason with an elaborate monologue how the other healers are demons. Daniil was genuinely asking, why you wrote your letter about your destiny, it’s fine! Same happens in Pathologic 2. Saying someone to stay put when they are in a pretty bad spot already is not a bad idea and Artemy is pretty open to both warnings and clairvoyance in general but saying. “Nope, do literally nothing even if you know you want to, I am a better doctor anyways” is… yeah hurting him in his professional pride isn’t exactly a smart move. Often it feels like she really has a chance to explain and the other healers would probably listen but then there is just a terrible miscommunication. (Which is a thing for all of the healers but Clara I-am-going-to-call-your-father-a-horrible-person-while-we-are-at-his-funeral Saburova… Look, it might be true but it is also hilarious.) But putting communication skills here would still be weird, since… you know… she is pretty good at communicating in different ways! And also all three healers are pretty prone to miscommunication albeit in different ways and for different reasons… So I think we have to dig a bit deeper still… So why is this happening and hindering her? There are multiple reasons to come to this conclusion. One I would call childlike stubbornness. (Which btw. Is also one of her strengths, but… it is Clara, everything is also its opposite. God I love her so much, she is just so hard to describe, it’s amazing!) Even with all of her wisdom and cleverness… Clara is still a child. As she should be, it makes her so much more interesting! But she also has this childlike quality of just… assuming people will completely understand and accept what she is trying to see and getting frustrated the moment it doesn’t happen. This is one of her contradictions. She is so very attentive, and she can touch other people with her hands as well as her words, but she also is inexperienced and doesn’t really know a lot about the world or about how to socially approach people which can be a big problem, if she desperately needs someone to listen. The other argument would be about her role in the plot and the way she regards her own role as well as the other healers. She is the most aware one and she does indeed know a solution to the dilemma of the story (if we do not conclude that this is a three way battle, but I exclude my thoughts about the factions themselves for this. She definitely though knows how to get rid of the town vs. polyhedron conflict) but this also puts her in direct opposition to both healers. Which… you know is completely fair and not a weakness. But, she is very uncompromising about this and while all of them are – at least when they are not the main protagonists – Clara is the most unmoving and also uncompromising of the three, telling everyone always very directly how she things the others are shit. Which again, is very justified but becomes a big problem when she needs help and makes it harder for her to express her own thoughts, even if they are very justified and might even help all parties. Speaking in riddles and of concepts beyond something we would see as our reality surely doesn’t help there either.
a headcanon about their childhood
Oh dear, tbh I am not even sure how metaphorical she just crawled out of the earth at the beginning of the game and if she even has a proper childhood… I think it is pretty literal but there are allusions in Patho2 that she actually has a past? At least she speaks about it and I guess it can be as made up as real. (A classic Clara move ^^) And having no defined past is kind of a big thing for her so… sorry, no childhood headcanon here.
a headcanon about their future (if they have one)
Again, I am not really sure if she stays in town or leaves with Block and I have read fanfiction with both, so I am not sure if there is a consensus in fandom either… If she stays in town I imagine her still being with the Saburovs but I do not know, if I really like this headcanon, since abandoning your newly found orphan in the middle of a plague is really something that should revoke parent rights… But on the other thing the position among the mistresses seems to still be pretty defined at least in the endings in Patho 2. I like to see her travelling with Block at least for a while. Maybe not at the front, that would be just… bad. But she also seems like the person who would just poke their head around at random intervals and nobody really knows, when she will get back and somehow Clara still knows exactly what is going on in town… Still she also seems pretty bound to the place and she has business there… it’s a tough call. She will definitely fire up the rivalry of the mistresses by a lot though. Probably even if she is just there for a second, she would definitely sow some mischief between Capella and Maria! Another triad of petty politics for her! Yay?
a small detail/scene that leaves a great impact
Oh dear, every scene she is in is just so impactful! (Also never knowing which Clara is with you right now (if there even is a difference) doesn’t make this easier...) I really like her quest in Artemy’s run, where she is upset about not knowing what exactly she is in the first place… but that is not really a small details or scene. Same goes for the cathedral and her offer to meet the inquisitor together with Dankovsky to stand up for that whole disaster. Which is still a really heroic but also not really a small scene and there is nothing to talk about there aside from “man, is Clara brave and set on doing the right thing!” I also think the letter about her ending is really interesting because it is just so out there and giving all of her bound a demonic nickname is just so over the top, but tbh all of the ending letters are very… passionate. So this might be more the games writing even if they lampshade it and talk to each other like the other one is the only healer in town who wrote a completely insane letter… But I digress. While I love Clara’s Patho1 design, I will say that I love her shaved hair in Patho2 and the commentary the artbook has for it. Seeing it as a sign of sickness or a deliberate mark of sainthood is just so on point for her! It is a really nice visual piece for her characterization and I also think putting the beany on top of it makes it even better. It is contradicting but firstly she deliberately kind of tries to hide her own contradictions (I mean, it is not part of her! It is just the sister, she is wrong!), which is also a nice added detail. Also, she might combine contradicting elements, but god, she is doing it with style!
their philosophy/worldview (or part of it) described in one neat little sentence
I am throwing the towel! How should this even work with Clara??? She has different philosophies and worldviews! Also, I think they differ a bit between the first and second game. The first one aligns a lot with the humble faction from what we hear but in the second game her dialogue alludes more vaguely to touching and changing people and not necessarily to “The right people must die for our world to continue” which is most of what I heard from her. Hm… How about: A saint’s duty is to touch the immoral and diseased, thus one can never rid themselves of all dirt. I am not that happy with this one, but… at least it has the whole touching other people thing in it and it is about good people not being pure, which also is a theme with her. It still sounds a bit judgemental and I don’t really like this emphasis of the “dirtied” but… I mean this is what Clara talks about in her letter, so I still think it fits, even if I would dare to say that she shows a lot more compassion than this sentence shows.

MOAR 11s
Thanks for teh tags @cabaretofwords and @synwrites
My 11 22 questions:
1. describe your favourite setting in your WIP
I really love Asylum’s rooftop gardens. Comfortable year round thanks to greenhouse wards, its a little green oasis in the middle of grungy downtown Riverside. Potted plants and raised beds burst with life and color, flowers and fruits. And lots and lots of basking rocks--with an extended family full of serpents, sunning places are in high demand. There’s almost always someone singing or playing instruments, teaching children or telling stories. It feels like home.
2. Where does your title come from?
When Dev and Nica were naming their club, there was a lot of back and forth. Dev wanted something “edgy”, and Nica wanted something welcoming. Asylum was their compromise.
3. Your OCs are in a triathlon - who is takes swimming, bike riding and running?
Zane (college AU seth) does competitive swimming, so it doesn’t matter who else competes with him :P Actually, this whole team should be the AU -- Robin (Raith) rides his bike everywhere and Rex (Bird) is a jogger
4. Which character is a dog person, which is a cat person, which prefers reptiles?
(Technically all the serpents are reptile people-- ill see myself out)
Seth would most enjoy a reptile: tidy, contained, won’t bother him
Nica would enjoy cuddling up with a cat.
Naj loves Travis, who is a wolf, so... close enough?
5. what program do you write in?
I use LibreOffice
6. what is the furthest you have gotten through writing a novel?
I’ve completed three, and made it halfway through revising Asylum before deciding I’m happier as a personal writer. Yeah, I love the idea of releasing a book and having adoring fans, but the disproportion of depression from failure to the joy of success was just not worth the mental cost for me.
7. What movies/tv-shows/books/podcasts do you find inspire you to write?
Actually, the terrible podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno always makes me feel better about my writing ability. He has such unashamed fun with it, like, if he can do it, so can I
8. Are there any fish in your WIPs
Actually, yes! James loves aquaria, but he wasn’t allowed pets growing up. So his girlfriend Trish encourages him to go out and buy himself a fish. So they picked out a red betta he named Renji Abari
9. If i offer your OCs a hot drink, what would they ask for?
Coffee Crew: Seth, Roanan
Team Tea: Nica, Bo
Cocoa crowd: James, Naj
10. favourite word?
Staccato. Say it with me-- Staccato. StaCAHtoh. Staccato.
22. If you were a Disney character who would you be? (I’d be Burt from Mary Poppins)
Probably Kronk, tbh
11. If you want to be a published author, what are you doing towards that aim?
I do not. As I said above, it was hurting my mental health to keep pushing for publishing. My joy is storytelling.
12. How many books have you read in 2019?
With mine own eyes? None. With mine wonderful ears? About 20?
13. Do you track how many words you write? If so, what are your metrics for the year? For longer than this year?
Nah man. I write with a partner, so separating out her words and mine would be super hard. But the doc I have open right now is about 60k, and at least some of that is mine ;)
14. Who is your favourite writeblr blog?
I’m really impressed by @hannahs-creations dedication to reaching out and engaging with the community. It’s really inspiring :)
15. What is something about writeblr that you don’t like?
I know it’s not intentionally, but I feel really guilty that I don’t keep up with anyone’s WIPs. I just do most of my reading with my ears. When I’m on tumblr, it’s to unwind, not read.
and also people reblogging ask games without sending at least one ask oh my god how hard is it???
16. Do you change your writing style, or are you consistent in how you write?
My writing style is a hot mess! Some characters are verbose, others choppy and informal. Some are internal monologue heavy, some are just lumps that I can’t get to move. Consistency? Never met her.
17. Do you like writing by hand? How many notebooks do you have?
I can barely keep up with my thoughts typing. A pen wouldn’t stand a chance. I do however like thinking/brainstorming with a pen, and I have a whole shelf full of notesbooks, ranging all the way back to middle school
18. What is your favourite dinosaur?
Archyopterus...yeah, that aint spelled right. The feathery bird predecessor
19. Do you like time travel plots in media?

I don’t think so? If I do, I don’t remember it

The Main Six playing Super Smash Bros
Asra
-one of those people that gets really good with kirby to the point no one can defeat him
-usually floats around and goofs off since it’s too easy
-everyone begs him to play a diff character
-picks yoshi and is just as good
-loves playing with jigglypuff when just goofing off with mc or muriel
-will tickle or kiss you to distract you
-if you take it seriously beware him, you’ll be infuriated because he doesn’t try and is good anyway
-loves to lie on your lap to play to take refuge from everyone else when they lose
-will roll over to look at you through his lashes slyly when you lose and it makes you love and hate him so much
Julian
-one of those people that picks dk and repeatedly hits the ground, infuriating everyone else
-button spams
-if one on one chooses a character like joker/other dark aesthetic character and gives monologues while playing
-v dramatic when he loses, probably lean over and crush whoever is playing with him
-unless his friends are into it, doesn’t play often and isn’t all that good as a result
-where p1 tag would go, his says hItMeHaRdEr or 069
-usually first to die, just by falling off the edge etc
-don’t sit too close you’ll get smacked by a flailing limb or lose hearing in one ear mmkay
Portia
-probably plays with the inklings tbh, specifically the orange one
-big button spammer as well
-plays just for fun unless against julian, then she pummels him in mere seconds
-somehow wins with no strategy at all
-she has a v cute giggle that’s v distracting,,,
-loves being a little obnoxious by repeatedly keeping other players from moving by rolling over them etc
-lots of motion, leans side to side or sits up as if it’ll help her character jump higher
-will sit in your lap or lie on top of you to play, big cuddlebug
Nadia
-so much strategy, plays with fast nimble characters like shiek and snake
-boss with mewto
-somehow grabs all the assist trophies and pokeballs before anyone notices them
-second to most likely to hunker down in a corner with a bomb or other attack
-patient, lets other players kill each other off
-usually only plays when asked
-refuses to play with just Lucio
-can be persuaded to play extra seriously if you put some stakes on the game, if you know what i mean lol ;0
Muriel
-most likely to hunker down in the corner and only lash out when confronted
-chooses small cute characters like isabella
-really likes Oli and his pikmin, when playing with mc or asra pulls up as many possible and runs around
-names them after his chickens, but uhh won’t tell you that..
-likes to create custom stages
-also only plays when asked
-played as the pokemon trainer once but had a hard time watching the pokemon get hurt, even tho it’s all digital
Lucio
-most obnoxious, first to suggest playing
-more suited to the hard hitting characters who deal more damage
-but chooses sword fighters instead
-likes dark link and marth
-pretty good with captain falcon, but hardly plays with him because his aesthetic isn't up to his standards
-starts off spamming and rage quitting but then spends a week or two getting really good because not being the best is unacceptable
-don’t want to see asra and lucio face off
-shows off with combos etc esp if mc is watching
-looks into competing
-TOURNAMENT TOURNAMENT TOURNAMENT
-”what do i get when i win?” ;)
