he comes out of the shadows, curly hair hanging on his forehead, with beads of sweat running down his neck. you flinch from your seat on the barrel, and he holds his hands up, walking towards you as if you’re a frightened cat.

when he eventually nears you, he pulls a handkerchief out of his pocket, and displays it so you can see. once you give him a short nod, he reaches out and wipes the blood from your split lip.

he catches you with his big, brown eyes.

she’s wrong, you know. about nobody wanting a smart girl.

as much as I love Durge/Astarion and all of the content we get specific to the two of them, I wish Larian had leaned more into Durge/Shadowheart because their stories work so well in parallel: they both have amnesia, work for/with a dark power, and can choose to either accept that darkness or resist it

I feel like Larian could’ve pushed their relationship, even if not romantic, way more simply because of their shared similarities, but afaik, there isn’t even a mention between Durge and Shart about their respective amnesias, despite that being such a unifying and bonding feature between them, not to mention the pull they both feel towards a darkness that’s hidden by that very same memory loss

I was never interested in Shadowheart until I started a Durge run and found out exactly how similar the two of them are, and it makes for such a compelling story, especially if they either enable each other towards darkness or encourage each other towards lightness

tbh possibly the funniest move nintendo has ever made was rereleasing sksw, The Timeline Game, like a year before totk, getting all the new botw fans obsessed with the timeline lore, and then fucking everything up with zero explanation in totk. i hope they never explain it i hope they just leave it like this forever

Wiki says that her wrath is a good century old at least. And while I’m not all that well-versed in cookie lore in general; I don’t think normal cookies live that long. Yeah, Oyster is old... But I doubt she’s THAT old... SOOOO, meet her daddy or gran daddy! Commander Oyster cookie! Senior! watched a majora's mask analysis earlier today with my fiancee. my verdict is that I actually really enjoyed the op's interpretations, but that I wished that they talked more about mm's literal level and what one can get from it, rather than talking about those events as if they are strictly metaphor. yes, of course the metaphorical layer of the game is rich to dig into, but it's also such an open-ended and surreal game that it's difficult to nail down every single distinct metaphor that can be derived from its events. which is why I consider it necessary to discuss the way the literal layer presents itself and what sort of motifs and ideas exist there as a baseline before you begin looking at it as metaphor

No but people acting like bloodweave has been popular from the get go and is just about shipping two random men together when in actuality this ship barely fuckin existed until a week ago and a lot of the shippers I've come across like the ship from the perspective of being SA/abuse survivors but like go off I guess
