I love the idea of Mycroft protecting Sherlock. Obviously, as he’s grown older this has become more difficult, in part thanks to Sherlock very purposely making it difficult.

But imagine lil’ Sherlock (and Jon) running around in Cordona, getting up to mischief and sometimes they land into very real trouble. Imagine Mycroft storming down to rain hell on whichever idiot dared put their hands on his little brother. He might only be 20 years old, but he’s intimidating. Already he controls far more authority then those his age should, cunning enough to know how to wield it against someone, and enough of a temper (a vice endemic to any Holmes- especially at his young age where it flairs all the more easily) to make his actions hurt for some time to come.

In short, he’s pissed and he’s going to make sure everyone pays for that. To Sherlock, his appearance is a rare source of relief. He might be beginning to butt heads with Mycroft more and more, but for now, he still relies on his big brother. Still needs him to be his big brother. And his big brother is a joy to watch when he appears, absolutely steaming from the ears, face red and fists clenched. Oh sure, Sherlock (and Jon) will get an earful later, probably a knock on the head for being so foolish, and an almost definitely strict curfew for awhile, but that’s it. He’s got no doubt that things will be much, much worse for his assailant. And there’s something maliciously delicious about that.

#tbh I do like Mycroft even tho he's portrayed as quite lazy in the original stories #it's really in the more recent versions like the bbc Sherlock and Chapter One #where Sherlock and Mycroft really butt heads as often as they do #which is still fun #ofc I might be biased since I'm an older sibling myself roflmao #anyways hell hath no fury like Mycroft Holmes #XD #Sherlock Holmes #Mycroft Holmes #Jon #sherlock holmes chapter one #also I hc that at this age Mycroft was much more energetic

adulthood is just visiting ur friends, saying "damn bitch, you live like this?" (affectionate) and aggressively helping them clean up while they politely tell you that you don't have to do that. and then having friends do that to you when they visit your apartment.

#eliot posts #one of my friends often does not make his bed and sleeps on a bare-ass mattress so i INSIST on at least putting a fitted sheet on #(and then normally just fully make the bed too bc might as well)#i tell him to ''stop rawdogging the mattress''/''put some protection on that nasty thang''#bc i of course must use the most cursed language available #it only takes like 5 minutes to do and is very worth it #and then i have this second friend who takes this to a whole nother level #he does my dishes every time he visits and lemme tell you. the dish situation around here gets DIRE.#he did like 4 sinkfulls when he was here last #and motivated me to clean the rest of the kitchen while he did that #it took like an hour and we ran out of hot water #but WAY faster than if i had tried to handle that shit alone #and we had fun and jammed to 80s music #another person i'm only loose friends with but i helped her clean a ton of trash from her dorm last time i visited #bc she was on the tail end of a depressive episode and i KNOW how that is #this only works w certain kinds of cleaning tho. you can't tidy up/organize other ppl's shit‚ for example #bc you don't know where anything is supposed to go and you'll likely make things more difficult in the end #amd it just requires you to handle all their personal belongings and open their drawers and shit #and there's a 90% chance that'll make them uncomfortable and like you're violating their space #but shit like dishes is generally very much fair game and won't make them uncomfortable #tho sometimes you gotta ask if there's a specific way they like their dishes washed bc some ppl are picky abt that #ANYWAY #is it obvious my love language* is acts of service?#*(tho the 5 love languages thing is a VAST over-simplification and things are not actually clear cut like that)

At this point they also like 'know'they both like each other bc they both did go on a #date but they never truly met one another so they do have a crush but they decide to take it slow and just become friends first. I mean they #have literally have 27 years in this world to spend so might as well try to know each other first.#Haein isnt quick to open up about her problems tho and neither is Jinwoo quick to say ALL that he suffered for the past 4 years as a hunter #including the system's mess #so they often explore more about the world and talk about the monsters than their problems first #That is until Haein is like 19. both have passed like 6 years toguether only trying to find where the monarchs are hi #hidding as well as destroying possible civilizations that could be useful inside the shadow army.#most of the beasts are agreesive towards them too so they kill them without any regards.#and then they finally get to find the first intelligent beings in this world. The demon race. Haein already from the name alone knows they #(also yes the demon race is still alive in this AU)#but jinwoo stops her and she is just huh? we arent killing these demons?#'nope we are killing all of them except this clan'#and Haein obeys but. like. is so confused.#hen when the radir family throws them a banquet. pretty things and events happen and Haein gets the chance to talk to Esil who in turn is #very chatty so she gets to hear a lot about the story of demons and their lives outside of it.#solo leveling #jinhae

#thoughts #personal #these moments always make me ponder on the relationship of gamedevs and the audience regarding fandom and criticism #because it's sooo complicated #very often you will agree with the criticism wholeheartedly #perhaps in many ways the audience has not picked up (yet or at all because some information is just kinda out of reach)#but to see that criticism casually dropped on your lap by people who are... basically tourists to a situation you fought tooth and nail for #that can afford to say “this thing sucks haha lol” and move away and never think twice about it #it does hurt #it does hurt even when you agree and you'd be even more critical of the same thing #you're like “cool haha sorry you don't like the end result”#“me neither tho fun fact btw this exact thing you're describing was my tipping point into a major mental health crisis"#“but I guess you'll never know about that!!”#“so fun and cool have a nice day I'll handle your casual “End Result Bad Lol” emotionally in some way eventually”#(which is why I think good in-depth criticism is actually MORE cathartic for devs than shallower “well that kinda sucked”)#(but that's just me I think most of my colleagues would disagree)#cw mental health #might delete at some point because we're in dubious territory nda-wise even if I'm being vague #but UHHH yeah #yea yea yea

Why does your chara's never really drive cars?

uuuh. idk its not v common here to own cars or have drivers licenses i guess ? :0✨ parking is a bother and the public transport is amazing, so no one needs it much. unless u live outside the big cities or like. have kids !! its v common there, but i live in the city. i think i have two friends whos got a drivers license 🤔 ive actually never really actively thought abt it 🤡✨

I got my eyes checked for the first time in like a decade and discovered today that my eyes suck at focusing properly :D

And some astigmatism but now I get to have glasses so that’s noice 👌🏻👌🏻

#they’re mostly just reading glasses but depending on what I’m doing like staring at my iPad for a while he said I might hafta wear them #more often than anticipated #but we’ll see #poor Avari tho lmfao #my sister is so fucking blind #she was making fun of me because I couldn’t read certain things #and then she did it and was like ‘well shit…’#fun fact the focus issues is apparently why everything I read looks like it’s in constant motion blur #can’t remember what uts called but basic;sky my eyes don’t center very well on stuff in front of my face #they continue to see fairly separately so everything is like #just KINDA seeing double #yeah so anyways I surprised myself today #I thought I actually had pretty good vision aside from some light sensitivity #but apparently not #anyways rambling aside #next appointment is to get my ears checked and all is fine and dandy

Thank u,,, it's one of the main compliments I get, but, idk, I struggle to accept it I guess? Cus the colors I pick are often just ones that make sense to me?

Not that it's just, no effort, but more like, I don't Think too much about it, and since they aren't like, Weird colors, I struggle to think of them as anything extraordinary

But, it's nice to hear that I pick them well, as colors really do matter to me, and u don't have to struggle with stuff for it to be meaningful and good

#i did a challange a few years ago tho #where id pick jusy 3 or more random colors from my pencil case and have to color with those and i ended up with some really fun stuff #so for people who are struggling with color #limiting ut palette does help often #well #actually limiting ur palette might honetsly be they key to good coloring in most cases #be it limiting value or saturation or tone #u cant have Everything and have it look good #idk #let me know if i hsould do a semi tutorial type thing explaining my thought process or ehatver #but the basic is #limit uself #rambles #ask #anon #ask game
