Hi! Nobody is going to read this probably lol as I’m new in this app (not in Jikook world though). But I just wanted to point out a little detail that not a lot of people is talking about regarding the watch thing.

When we talk about theories I like to try to be the more impartial and clinic possible. I don’t like to get carried by my own desires to see any Jikook manifestation in their little acts because sometimes there’s nothing there, just us missing them and their bond deeply. But sometimes too, there’s some things that you can not explain at all. And this is one of this cases.

When I saw this morning people talking about the watch thing the first thing I thought was “please, don’t be like those shippers outside that are desperate to prove anything, we don’t need that”, but then I stopped and read carefully and objectively the facts that people where putting on the table. And I must say that, after thinking logically at it, it doesn’t make sense that Jimin had his watch with a completely different time zone in his live, a different time that coincidently it’s Junkook’s birth time. On his birthday. Suspicious.

Specially if the obvious justification is automatically discarded. “He must have wear that watch when he traveled to another time zone and did not set the time correctly when he came back”. Yeah, sure, that was my first thought, but then I realized. When you change your time zone you change hours, not minutes. You add or rest hours depending on which country you are traveling, like from Korea to US, that you have to change like 12 hours on the clock, but the minutes stays the same. So how can we explain that when Jimin started the live in Korea was 20.54 but his watch said 15.23??? As I said, it doesn’t make sense, because if it was because of a time zone then it should be 8.54, not 15.23 (and I say 8.54 because is the time that his watch should read in case he has the time zone of NY, -12h).

You can see in the following picture the time zones of my place of reference (European time zone), you add hours in the case of Seoul, or rest hours in the case of New York, but the minutes still the same.

What other theory could it be? The watch doesn’t work properly? It didn’t seam so as it worked perfectly in the live. The watch battery stopped working, he changed it and forgot to change the time? Could be, but isn’t the normal thing to automatically correct the time once you get your watch to work properly again?? I don’t know, call me crazy but Jimin is a person that gives a lot of attention on the details, specially when we are talking about his appearance and complements such as rings, earrings, watches… I would find it really strange that he didn’t have everything on point.

So… the other explanation is that it was on purpose, just a little detail for the ones who know to what you should pay attention to. Jimin and Jungkook have used numerology before. We have seen it in their t-shirt’s, in festa things and interviews, in mentions in their concerts, in tweets posted at specific hours… It’s nothing new, if you follow Jikook closely you must know it.

Another thing that we should take into account is that Jimin didn’t wear the watch in the Dior event. He put it specifically to do the live at home. He told us that after it he was going to wash up, remove his make up and rest, so we suppose he wasn’t going to go anywhere. Why would you put your watch to stay at home, alone, just to do a live? The only logical answer is that he wanted us to see it, otherwise nobody arrives at home changes clothes and decides to put your expensive watch again just to sit on a chair an spend some time on the internet with army.

Is it really unbelievable that Jimin made a little reference to Jungkook’s birth on his birthday? Is it really unbelievable when he just came to Weverse on live just to show us his mood lamp and tell us to wish him a happy birthday? Honestly my friends, they had made more bold and incredible things and still here we are. It wouldn’t be the first nor the last time they do something mind blowing to let us know that something is going on with them, so even if this is just coincidence or it was totally on purpose I must say that I’m here for all of it.

A/N: so this is really…uh dark lol 😂 my mind just ran away with Jeongins and it is not based on true events okay. Jeong Nam-gyu was a terrible person and I hope he’s rotting in hell. I hope his victims families have found peace. It was a little hard trying to come up with ways for Y/N to tell them so that was fun lol but requests are still open for all groups guys

Jisung: racism

“Babe look it’s a Dahlia!” Jisung exclaims excitedly. You light up at his excitement gripping his hand slightly as he pulled you toward the small bush. “It’s so pretty!” You exclaim, pointing excitedly at the small arch the trees made as you wondered the garden. You were excited to show your boyfriend your hometown as his tour coincided with your trip back to your small hometown. Your heart raced as you and Jisung continued to playfully chase each other through the small path. You notice a small group of guys further down the path you swallow nothing as you try to brush off the small bad feeling that bubbled in your gut. You can see the snickers they gave each other, their eyes sitting directly on you and your boyfriend as you pass them. You’re about to let out a sigh of relief before you hear a false cough with the person that did it doing the stereotypical song for an Asian person. You feel Jisung freeze; his eyebrows sit scrunched together before he shakes his head and slowly begins walking beside you. You couldn’t help but looking back at the boys who you now see stretching their eyes whilst pointing and laughing at you and Jisung.

You turn back to Jisung who’s eyes sat the on the group of guys, his jaw clenched his hand balling into a fist. You caress his forearm his eyes connecting with yours at your action, “baby please just let it go” he stares intently into your orbs. They were pleading, sitting with fear hidden within them. He caresses your cheek wrapping his arm around your shoulder and gently tugging you toward the parking lot back to his car. The walk was silent, you felt safe in your boyfriends embrace as the group continued to eye you and Jisung. “Oppa…” your tone is serious “keep your eye’s forward. Don’t look back at them at all. Act like nothing is wrong get in the car and drive. As fast as you can just drive, okay? Don’t ask questions until we’re out of here” your grip on your boyfriend's hand was vice like as you explained with a heavy heart. Jisung does as you say and soon you let out a sigh of relief. The car ride is silent all the way back to your parents' house. “What was that about?” He questions nervously. “Just stupid racists…” you murmur pulling your hair to the side and shifting your shirt exposing your shoulder and a long-jagged scar that sat above your collarbone. “This…” you point at your scar “is what can happen when you try to defend yourself against people like that” his fingers brush over the scar. “What happened?” His voice was barely above a whisper. “I looked different. Here, it’s dangerous for you to be different sometimes…I was in middle school and some boys were being stupid, they were always dicks but one of them found his dads knife one day. Figured out a way to sneak it into school, they never liked me because I was one of the few minorities in town. I represented something they were terrified of… anyway they bullied everyone, but I was the only one to ever truly fight back. Apparently, I won too many times in their eyes, and I needed to be shown my place in the world.” Your breath was shaky as a stray tear ran down your face. “Needless to say, the lesson was taught, and I was sent to my grandmothers in Korea” disparity sat on your features.

Jisung sat in silence for a second his eyes focused on your face as you spoke. A wave of nausea took over his body as you explained the scar. His hand gripped yours tightly “I’m not going to say that I’m glad that it happened to you. But now at least you live somewhere safe, and I got to meet you. Thank you for telling me, I know it was probably hard for you” you give him a comforting smile “I love you.”

Felix: S.A.

The small quaint restaurant had a tranquil ambiance as Felix poured you a glass of wine. You sat with nervousness as he smiled at you; butterflies fluttered in your stomach. The night was coming to an end as you finished off your dessert, you blush as Felix scrunched his nose gesturing for you to meet him by the door which you do with a shy smile. You were happy as you finally were able to spend time with the man you had spent all your time chatting with online. It was only your first official time meeting in person since you both had defined your relationship and beside a few video chatting dates with him this was truly your first time ever getting to soak in the warmth he radiated. The moment you were covered by the darkness you felt his warmth once more; ever since you had picked him up from the train station, he continuously found a way to always have his arm around you. A bright smile plastered upon his heart shaped lips, your eyes tracing the patterns in his freckles. Yet you still wondered what it would be like to press your lips against his; you felt anxiety every time he had learned in slightly to test the waters. But as you felt his chest pressed against your back his arms encasing your waist.

A blush creeps on your cheeks as he buries his face in your neck, your finger’s immediately finding their way into his hair. “I can’t believe you’re really here” you chirp excitedly, Felix chuckles as you guys reach your car. Suddenly, you’re whipped around your back pressed against the passenger door as Felix presses his lips to yours excitedly. It takes a moment before you realize Felix is kissing you. Your lips respond to his as you wrap your arms around his neck. His hands on your waist pulling you into his slender frame, his tongue begging for entry. A small moan is released from your throat as you allow him access your fingers lacing with the strands of hair on the back of his head. His hand glides down lifting your leg around his waist pressing his hard member against you before reluctantly pulling away “we should get back to your place” he states behind breathless gasps as he pressed his forehead to yours. You nod excitedly at the idea of getting out of your heels.

The drive back to your place was filled with Felix’s hand adorning your thigh to the point where it felt empty as he removed the appendage when he had pulled into your driveway. You let out a sigh of relief as you sat on your couch pulling the demon shoes off before laying down. Felix smiles at you as he makes his way into your room. A moment later, he exits no longer in the nice button-down shirt and slacks; your face heats up at his failure to put on a shirt and how low his shorts were sitting. You begin to sit yourself up as Felix places himself beside you. His arms wrapping around your waist pulling you to sit on his lap.

His lips connecting with your, you revel in the moment. His lips are soft moving with purpose, his tongue brushing over your lips opening your mouth you allow him entry. Anxiety builds in your throat as you feel Felix’s hand caress your thigh gliding its way up your leg. Your hand quickly grasping his wrist haunting his movements “W-wait!” You cry as your mind drifts back to the sickening memory of your father's best friend; tears building in your eyes blurring your vision. At your plea Felix’s hand stops quickly pulling it off you “I-I’m sorry I thought…I’m sorry” he apologizes. His eyes observing your distressed expression, “are you okay babe?” He questions worry in his eyes as you panic shaking your head in response “I’m sorry you didn’t do anything wrong” your voice is shaky “I-I never had a choice in this type of thing before and I got scared” you confess ashamed. Realization dawns on him as tears well up in his eyes “Baby…” he whispers pulling you tightly against his chest “I promise you. I will never do anything without your consent” he reassures. “I know baby I’m so sorry I freaked out I trust you I do I swear” you apologize, pressing your lips to his softly letting out a sigh of relief as he holds you against him spending the rest of the night holding you and reaffirming his previous declaration.

Seungmin: domestic violence

“Why can’t you accept that I said no!” You snap at your boyfriend. He sighs rubbing his temple trying not to lose his patience “because babe it’s your mom. You said you wanted to see your mom” he counters annoyance embedded in his tone. You stare blankly at him “did you forget I also said I don’t want to see that man?” You throw your hands up in frustration. He doesn’t get it you think to yourself and he won’t unless you just tell him the truth.

“That man? Your dad, Y/N?” He argues, you shake your head in denial “that man isn’t my dad Seungmin!” Your voice is barely above a whisper “I’m not allowed to go see my mom. My dad died when I was 7 years old. And that man, my mom's husband…. Is a monster” realization overflows his body like a tsunami “is he hurting your mom?” His tone is full of disgust, he knows the answer is yes by your lack of response “did— “the question he’s about to ask makes him feel like he’s going to throw up “did he hurt you?” You nod dejectedly a pout on your lips. “I-I couldn’t get through most days without him giving me or my mom a bruise or on really bad days a hospital visit. I begged my mom to leave him but it’s not that simple, he’ll kill her if she leaves. He almost killed me when we tried. If I go back there things will be worse for her, he’ll probably succeed this time and he’ll kill my mom. That was the deal when I moved to Seoul.” You notice Seungmin jaw clenched fists balled up at his sides “Im here now. He won’t touch you. Either of you I’ll kill him with my bare hands if he tries.” He states boldly “we need to go get your mom” you shake your head “please don’t. We can figure something out that doesn’t risk your career.”

Seungmin shakes his head “I don’t care about my career! This is your mom, how can I sit here when I know what’s happening to her” “baby we just need a plan, a way that doesn’t involve violence to get my mom” your tone is soft and pleading, a tear streams down his face “im so fucking pissed right now, it makes me sick to think anyone hurt you. I can’t just sit here and accept that” you give him a sad smile “at least im safe and I know you won’t hurt me.”

Jeongin: kidnapping

“Innie look it’s a matching couple blanket set!” You exclaim excitedly as you make your way toward your boyfriend. A wide smile sitting on his lips “that’s nice you wanna get it baby?” You smile with enthusiasm “can we?” He nods pecking your lips softly “anything for you my love” a blush creeps on your cheeks as you two continue to look around in the quaint boutique. You notice some girls whispering to each other and pointing in your direction. Shrugging them off as just very shy STAY you continue your shopping, ever since you and Jeongin went public there’s been plenty of times where you’d be out with your boyfriend and fans would sit idly by until they worked up the courage to come ask for a picture and say hi. You’d always enthusiastically offer to take the photo for them and leave them with a positive image of you. Sometimes adding a joke or two of how you were just the mistress to them. Yet something about these girls seemed different, their eyes never drifted to Jeongin who stood beside you. They were looking at you, anxiety builds in your throat as you and Jeongin pass by them to look at some character lamps they had when you heard their whispers “is it really her? She looks like she’s 21-22 that’s how old she’d be right now. Do you think he like did stuff to her? How long do you think she was messed up after?” Dread fills your gut; they were talking about you. They know who you are, your eyes widen as your breathing grows heavy. You grab Jeongin’s arm asking to leave, almost pleading as you feel someone tap your shoulder. Jumping in a panic you face one of the girls “excuse me a-are you Choi Y/N?” Your maiden surname makes you feel like you’re going to throw up. You nod reluctantly, embarrassment on your face as you prepare for the inevitable.

“I’m really happy you made it through all of that. It looks like you’re doing well, though I’m sure you wish it didn’t happen. I hope you’re coping with everything” she states apologetically. “I-I’m doing okay, I don’t like talking about it much though. S-still a little painful” you stare as you scratch your head in nervousness you can feel Jeongin’s confused eyes burning holes into the back of your head. “But I-I’m with my boyfriend and we have to go it was nice meeting you thank you for your support” she gives an apologetic smile “I’m sorry yeah you have things to do probably but you’re an inspiration honestly after I heard your story, I was able to get myself help so thank you so much for telling it”You hold in a breath. You didn’t want to share it, the police and your mother made you, but it was nice to know your forced interviews were worth something. “T-thank you so much I hope you have a good rest of your day” you wave her off as you pull Jeongin out of the store placing the couple blanket on a random shelf on your way out.

He gives you a moment to breath before he halts his movements “im sorry but I have to ask what the hell was that about? Choi Y/N? I thought you were Im Y/N?” Your hands shake at your side “please…let’s not talk about this here let’s go back to the dorm and I’ll explain everything” he nods as he continues to walk beside you. Silence hung over the the two of you as all the way to Jeongins room. “I was Jeong Nam-Gyus last victim…” you state as you close the door behind you. Tears welling up in your eyes as Jeongins eyes widen in shock his mouth hanging open wide as he stumbles back taking a seat on his bed. “I-I was 4 and playing at the park with my best friend. we were just playing hide and seek,a-and when I finished counting, I looked everywhere for him, but I couldn’t really find him on the playground, so I went near the treeline and that’s where I found him. H-he has his throat cut a-and there was this adult guy sitting over him just-t s-smelling him. Blood was all over him, and he was just looking at his knife and sniffing it. I started to cry because I was scared and he smiled at me said he liked my face when I cried and he was going to keep me for a while, I was there for 6 months before the cops found me. I can’t remember much from that time just stuff that shouldn’t be done to a 4-year-old” you bite your bottom lip “the only thing that I can remember vividly is that every chance he got he let me know how good my blood smelled. It’s like vanilla and cinnamon he said.”

Jeongin sat silent as tears streamed down his face, his hand over his mouth as he tried to process the information. You, his girlfriend, literally the only person he knew besides Felix that was the literal definition of happiness, had something so ugly done to you; yet he would have never known if that girl hadn’t mentioned your past. Your scars on your legs, torso and arms come to his mind and he feels like throwing up. He believed you when you said you had self harmed, but now he’s realized they came from a serial killer. He felt like he was going to throw up, you were tortured. He felt like he could cry, how have you been okay all this time. “I know it’s a lot to take in so…I can give you some time” you whisper as you turn to leave. You feel Jeongins hand on your wrist “I don’t need time” his voice cracking “it’s just—can I hold you?” You nod as you feel him wrap his arms around you “Im so fucking happy you survived that baby I’m sorry I didn’t know and I’m so fucking sorry I made you talk about it” he cried you shake your head “don’t be sorry, I wanted to tell you just not like this. I love you I didn’t want you to look at me differently” he pecks your lips “I would never look at you differently or pity you okay? I know that’s what you would probably think but I don’t. Im so happy I met you and that your mine and I’ll make sure you’re never hurt in anyway ever again” you smile at him “I know baby I feel safe when I’m with you”

2 things I have to say before I go:

First of all, god I feel like a genius. There, I said it. That enlightenment I had last night with the 2 silver rings... and I thought I was being delusional. With JK's copycat, you are me I am you stunt, I kind of feel like I might have been on the right path with that one.

Second, I'm left here sitting and wondering... did the powers of be not realise what JK was doing? Like, it's so friggin' obvious. Or did he just manage to slip this right under their non existent gaydars? Maybe doing this in LA and not Korea, perhaps different stylists, idk, it's just sooooooo obvious. If they did realise it, was it too late? I can't see them being happy about it. Not at all. Same people that didn't know about Letter until it was too late...

Can't wait for the song to come out.

Like I wrote in my previous post, the song isn't written by JK, but perhaps he connected with it, and yeah, with this shoot, this you are me I am you, I can't help but wonder what else he is trying to tell us. About the song. About himself. About JM?

These are the pictures my friends sent me 🤓 Some of you might know, but there was a solar eclipse yesterday!! Wow, that's so cool. It's a shame that I can't see it with my own eyes. Even though I haven't seen it in person, I'm also thinking about what I'm doing and what kind of person I'm going to be by the day I'm going to see the next eclipse because of the eclipse lol. My friend must have felt a lot of emotion while watching it. So he sent me a huge article. It felt like a wonderful coincidence that the moon covered the sun. Then I remembered. Oh, that's a given. The moon was always swimming towards this moment. Stop. A few hundred years ago, people might have thought the world was coming to an end when they watched the eclipse, and said goodbye to their loved ones. But now we're having fun witnessing this. Knowing that the sun is only obscured, but it hasn't disappeared. As with pain, it only obscures life for a moment. I mean, other things don't go away We can see each other in 2035 in Korea. Let's see each other then!!! 🧡

Lol does it matter whether they were alone or not? They were still together on and not apart spending the day with other people, that’s the point. Jungkook was alone getting drunk on white day lasy year probably because Jimin wasn’t in Korea and which again begs the question where the hell was his partner?

Oh but i thought Jikook hated each other and only hung out when they needed to work? Was going to Antoya restaurant immediately Jimin landed in NYC part of work too? They literally could have eaten separately if they didn’t want to be together but they choose to go eat together so what’s you point? Yes Jimin was in NYC for a reason but was the restaurant part of the travel show schedule anon?

Silver day might have been a coincidence or design but it’s kinda funny how Jikook keep ending up together on sus days or sus periods. I dunno but it seems like even the universe wants them to be together atp.

People keep forgetting about late August last year when Jimin went back to Korea after spending a couple of weeks in NYC. He arrived in Korea and a couple of hours later Jungkook was having dinner, alone. It was that time Jungkook went out to eat literally everyday, I think trying out different meat restaurants. Well, Jimin arrived back in Korea after weeks and they didn't even get dinner together lol.

Once or twice might be a coincidence, but if it keeps happening every single time... Wake tf up!!!

It's also so deranged to think two people who are, on the record, FRIENDS have to hide and can't hang out like normal friends do. Literally anyone who's ever been in a gay relationship can tell you that you go out and have a normal life like everyone else does. I get livid everytime I have to see cis straight women talking about being gay and making it sound like it's a Tarantino movie. Newsflash: gay people live normal lives!! The two females friends next to you at that restaurant last week? Probably lesbians! Probably bisexual! The guy bagging your groceries yesterday? Probably gay!! Was there a sign over their heads? It's not like Jimin and Jungkook or any gay person has to go and sit on "Reserved For Gay People" part of a public space.

I think very confidently that Jimin is gay, and that several people around him know that. Did that stop Jimin from having men hug him in his choreography or is it stopping him from getting on all fours and showing his butt to the camera? Is there a flashing sing on his head because of it? No. He just lives his life normally.

"They see each other at home" ALL THE TIME? Girl.... Nobody survives a relationship like that. Even couples have to go out and do regular stuff, regularly. That's what healthy is.

And that's allegedly people who've been married since 1950. Yeah, anyone can survive a relationship when you have jobs and children and you go out and live your life like any normal human being. Now I'd like to see them try to survive a relationship like the one they've made up in their heads about jikook. Scared, lonely, secluded, constantly lying to the point they can't even talk about food. Let's see how long they last.

Even more so, months passed and Jimin said Jungkook didn't cook that meal for him. If they spend SOOOO much time together at home, they would've had time to have a meal together.

Somehow they spent so much time together at home with nothing to do, but Jimin was just informing Jungkook about letter when he arrived at the studio. So much time together in private and somehow Jungkook was wondering who wrote the second verse in SMF2. He didn't know Jimin was doing fan calls. He didn't know when would Jimin be recording for music shows.

Forget about seeing each other. That's all stuff you can literally know by texting someone.

Anyways. This is so boring and I can't keep making lists of all the times they didn't see each other for weeks or probably months.

From here on to two years there'll be more Jungkook once again filmed with women and people will still be acting insane. Larries still act like nothing has changed between Louis and Harry and they've been hiding a gay relationship since 2011. That's exactly the kind of life taekookers and jikookers are headed to.

Hiya, finally got around to reading your post on the horror influences of DFF (thank you) and because it added immensely to my to watch list, I was wondering if you had any recommendations / resources for my current side quest.

Last week I watched both 1000 years old and Red Wine in the Dark Night and came across two very different vampires neither of which has fangs. And while that might still be a coincidence (n=2 is not a good basis) it was enough to make me realise that I do close to nothing about Thailand (and related) vampire lore.

While it is a blessing that we are going to have five thai vampire BLs this year, in this case it is actually a curse because any combination of keywords I can think of leads me to 1000 images of Boun staring at me with red eyes. And in this ONE instance, this is actually a complaint.

So, rambles over: Do you have any recommendation for thai horror / supernatural stories that feature vampires / blood sucking ghosts demons or the like?

Tbh I don't know a ton of Thai vampire movies specifically. My knowledge of Thai cinema tends to skew action or horror and even that I'm still a newbie. What's more frustrating is a lot of older Thai films aren't available for streaming and you gotta pirate them - which hey, I'm no stranger to that life either I'm an anime fan lmao - though Netflix has started picking up more Thai imports recently. That's where I watched The Whole Truth, Girl From Nowhere, Trapped 13 (there's a documentary and a drama also fuck Elon Musk), and part of School Tales.

As far as I know in regards to like, are there even Thai vampires in mythology/folklore the closest thing I could find was the Krasue:

"A Krasue, sometimes called Pii Krasue, is a spirit that haunts most of Southeast Asia. [...] The Krasue is delightfully gory, consisting of a floating head with entrails and internal organs dangling from the neck. They usually manifest themselves as attractive young women with bloody hanging innards and float about accompanied by an eerie glow. Sometimes, they even have fangs like a vampire." (source)

So I think it's pretty safe to say that, uh, the vampires in upcoming Thai shows are not taking from Thai myth lol but probably Japanese and Korean media.

Japanese takes on vampires which were all the rage in the mid-00s: Blood The Last Vampire (2000), Vampire Knight (2008), Blood+ (2005), Hellsing (1997 - 2008), Blood C (2011), Blood Hound (2004), Trinity Blood (2005) I'm noticing a lot of "blood" used in these titles.

Not that vampires aren't still a sub-genre in Japan, like gosh Seraph of the End was huge in 2013 and was a part of the small re-boom of anime/manga during that time period after the bubble popped.

Korea's also done vampires there seems to have been a bit of a boom in the mid-00s (Vampire Idol 2011, Immortal Goddess 2016) and then again recently (Kissable Lips 2022, Bite Sisters 2021, Heartbeat 2023). From what little I've seen in Korean media - I haven't watched either of the mid-00s shows - vampires tend to be more romance fodder, and treated like any other fantasy creature rather than something scary or demonic.

Which falls in line with the trailer for 1000 Days - which I have also not watched so correct me if I'm wrong and it's actually scary as fuck lmao - while Japanese vampire media ranges from romantic but more gothic or outright just for horror and action.

In my experience horror films from Japan, Korea and Thailand don't usually have blood sucking ghosts or demons? Not saying there's none, but most of the films I've watched the ghosts weren't like, of the blood sucking variety. They tend to be connected to curses left behind because of some sort of wrong done to the spirit in their past life.

Take, White Melody of Death, as an example which is a Korean horror film about a Kpop girl group. The curse that murders it's way through the characters is attached to the spirit of a character who died.

Even in The Whole Truth the spirit is more of seeking vengeance than like, to eat people. The concept of "demons" is different in various Asian countries than in an American/Anglo-Saxon context because of the differences in religious, and cultural roots.

Again, totally not an expert regarding all this, and I'm putting the rest under a read more for length but gonna talk a bit more about Japanese, and Chinese folklore (with sources!) under the cut. And I DO list some recs for general horror stuff I like.

Take the concept of "demon" for example:

"Yokai is not simply the Japanese word for demon, as is sometimes believed. They are the embodiment of a moment: a feeling of dread and bewilderment, or awe and wonder over an extraordinary event; or a strange sound or peculiar scent that demands an explanation; an ineffable phenomenon explained only by a supernatural entity. Little wonder then that the Japanese characters for Yokai are 妖怪, which taken individually could mean strange or alluring mystery!" (source)

You can see this reflected in Japanese media like the super famous Inu-yasha: A Feudal Fairytale by Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha when directly translated into English means "dog demon"). Where, in the story, there's a mix of demons both human like, creature like, and wide as far as individual morality goes - one of the protagonists, Inuyasha is a half-demon mixed with human it's a whole subplot of his character.

I've found this is more typical in the Japanese media I've engaged with. Like in Japanese horror like Dark Waters (2002) or Ringu (1998) they don't refer to the "monster" as a "demon" it's typically referred to as a ghost or spirit.

You can also see this in Chinese media like Yin Yang Master Dream of Eternity - where the protagonist is also a half demon I'm beginning to see a pattern in the media I like lmao - which makes sense since parts of Japanese folklore/mythology was inspired by Chinese mythology:

"Here, in his third book, Konjaku Hyakki Shui (Supplement to The Hundred Demons from the Present and the Past), Sekien finds inspiration in Chinese mythology." (source)

I feel like this is a long winded way of saying, uh, no I don't know any Thai specific movies about vampires or blood sucking demons. It seems like a fairly new genre exploration from what I've researched so far.

Anyway I can happily share some of my favorite Korean, Japanese and Thai horror things tho, but I really recommend others search themselves and explore the genre. Horror is so vast and flexible as a genre so there's a lot I haven't watched or maybe don't even vibe with that you might!

Perfect Blue, 1997, directed by Satoshi Kon - if you liked Black Swan you'd probably like this film if not more so, it's animated but it's such an amazing psychological horror film there's a reason Satoshi Kon's work has been so influential on media globally.

Girl From Nowhere, 2018 - I talk this one up a lot but I only like season 1 which imo is stronger conceptually, that said, a lot of folks liked season two as well! It has major Twilight Zone vibes, but with a central protagonist who is also a literal force of nature (is Nanno a deity, spirit, demon? No one actually knows and the ambigity is delicious) both seasons are available on Netflix.

Ringu, 1998 - I feel like even if you're a casual horror fan or the like you know of The Ring which is a 2002 remake of this Japanese horror film. I think the 1998 version is better if only because my beloved Hiroyuki Sanada is in it, tho as far as American remakes of Japanese horror films go, The Ring isn't a terrible one (the sequel is tho imo).

Hellsing Ultimate, 2006 - So there's an anime for Hellsing from 2002 that's okay, Hellsing Ultimate is a direct adaption of the manga and it's better. I recommend either reading the manga - the art is FANTASTIC - or watching Ultimate. Out of all three I prefer the manga if only because the art is so good, but if you want Dracula eating and fighting Nazis this is the story for you.

Vampire Princess Miyu, 1997 - this is partly nostalgia but the series is so beautifully animated and it's such a classic. The OVAs will probably be hard to find but if you can and you want some classic Japanese vampire stuff I really liked this back in my youth~~

God Child/Earl of Cain, 2005 - so this is a manga, and it's more Gothic horror than straight horror, but I'm adding it because Kaori Yuki's art is amazing, it's a very subtexually queer series, and it's very Sherlock Holmes meets Shirley Jackson in terms of story.

Train to Busan, 2016 - I am a HUGE zombie film fan love me some zombies and Train to Busan is in my top 3 easy. It's top down one of the best zombie films and the only one that tops it for me is the original Night of the Living Dead. The film has the tag team of Don Lee and Gong Yoo like are you kidding me?

I Saw The Devil, 2010 - This one is A Lot, but it stars Lee Byung-hun in one of his better roles and if you don't trust me watch Kennie JD's video on it.

The Guest, 2018 - This show was such an interesting mix of exorcism and shamanism. The scares were legit SCARY and the entire show was so unnerving, if you can handle slow burns and a good character driven ghost story I really liked this one.

#Alive, 2020 - Okay this feels like cheating cause it's not actually that scary like, at all lol at least not to me, but it's got zombies and the incredible Yoo Ah-In (there's also an American version with Tyler Posey that is unfortunately very bad).

Kingdom, 2018 - I am truly basic but it's SUCH a good zombie show!!! The thrills are amazing, and it had me and my Ma on the edge of our seats. It's not really scary to me, but like its a ymmv (zombies in general don't scare me lol they're just fun).

That's all I can think of right now, I know there's more in my head but I can't remember of them all lol and others that I've watched that I wouldn't really recommend - High School of the Dead, for example, is famous for it's "Matrix boobs" scene which is hilarious but not great cinema lmao - so I left a lot of stuff I know out.

Not sure how to feel on the video, at first it could’ve been anyone! Now add the dog in , similar layouts and then a later video that came out with tattoos.. it’s harder to say it’s 100% not real, there’s more doubt now

Regardless the nature of both “JK”and that woman and JK and JM is still unknown as of right now - but it’s like, have all these jikook “coincidences” been just that? we have no way of knowing for certain but it’ll just be a big surprise if things like the hickey, rose bowl, gcftokyo etc we’re just … bro things ?😂

seemed like everything between JK/JM was more than just a “ship” because things seemed real - clearly it could’ve been and they’ve broken up, but this video just adds confusion lol

(And in the end clearly Jimin is fine with jungkook because he’s also been very supportive this year)

So, I still haven't seen the video in question, and I suppose I should watch it so I can see for myself what the kerfuffle is all about. I don't know what it shows, whether it's believable in terms of being JK with some lady or other, or if the dog is Bam or not. Some things I know:

Furniture is mass produced. Chances are more than one couch has been sold that matches the couch in JK's apartment.

There are dobermans in Korea who are not Bam.

Nothing about Jikook tells me that they've ever been "just bros", that they've broken up, that they never were together, that they're on the outs, that they could possibly be seeing anyone else, that... anything the current narrative says is true.

Based on: hickeygate, Rose Bowl ear suckage, a hundred million moments of Jungkook looking at Jimin with the heartiest heart eyes ever, the inability of Jimin to have a live stream without mentioning JK, the absolute inability of JK to do ANYTHING without mentioning Jimin at least once, JK's hours-long JImin-a-thon, satellite Jeon, your are me I am you, shirtless birthday posts, semi-secret NY/CT vacations... based on all that, you cannot convince me that there's only broship there, or that there's anything less than total love and devotion, whatever form it takes. I'm not worried. I'm not at all concerned about Jikook. I'm more than a little concerned about the so-called Jikookers who take the least little thing as a seismic event that shakes their whole world view.

Breathe. It's okay. The video is probably nothing. Think about the timing, too... JK just released "3D", which is seeing amazing success. Its loud, prosperous debut just drowned out the latest BP bragging point about YT views surpassing BTS or whatever they were on about yesterday. Suspicious that this sees the light of day on the very same weekend, no? Almost like someone is trying to distract certain sectors of a certain fandom from supporting JK and his single during this important chart-aiming time. It's just like all the sus "they broke up" horse shit shows up right when something new drops from the boys, or when some new Jikookery comes to light.

Don't worry. This is just someone being a troll and getting their little fifteen minutes of quasi-fame and shit stirring. Just wave them off like the gnats they are and trust that ten years of clear love and devotion don't vanish overnight.

3. Heaven Lyrics Analysis

This is where stuff gets too "coincidental" to be a coincidence any more. I'll start from the beginning.

"Heaven", on Exo's EX'ACT album, is a b-side song written by Chanyeol.

As you probably guessed from the title, "Heaven", is a sweet song about a person who the singer feels like is an angel who came from heaven. In the song, the singer describes the angel as a beautiful person who is like a ray of light for them.

The keywords in the song are heaven, angel, sky, light, etc.

Years ago, Bakehyun showed everyone the "angel wings" on his back. He has prominent shoulder blades, and I think he's mentioned before that he is insecure of them.

Here, he bent down to show them to everyone and by coincidence, Chanyeol was the one who revealed them. He knew exactly where to press.

Baekhyun then gets up, and I believe he says "I'm an angel" or something along similar lines.

Bakehyun has some traditionally female traits, so in turn, many Exo members and Exo-Ls describe him as "pretty". While fans do it to praise Baekhyun's visuals, Exo members do it jokingly like an inside joke.

Saying that a girl is pretty jokingly seems really weird. In a world where people assume that they are a couple when a boy and a girl hang out, it seems like you wouldn't want to tell a girl that she's pretty in fear that she might find out about your feelings. However, if you have already confessed and are in a relationship with her, then why would the girl assume you are joking when you call her pretty? That is supposed to be a compliment.

Chanyeol is a celebrity who would face major backlash for using "he" in a song, especially in a country like South Korea. In order to protect his reputation, mentioning anything other than a "she" would be dangerous. Just because Chanyeol mentioned "she" does not confirm that he is straight or was referring to Baekhyun.

Thus, this line could easily mean Baekhyun telling Chanyeol to not jokingly call him pretty.

Kpop fans who obsess over perceived sexualization of minors seem very unfamiliar with idol culture in east Asia in general.

Kpop fans freak out over idols under 18 debuting these days (even though idols debuting at 14-16 was very common in second gen lol) but like Sakura from Le Sserrafim was 13 when she debuted in her first idol group, and spent her early teen years performing for men. More egregiously than in Korea (hard to believe but true) female idols in Japan are specifically marketed to grown men. And idols debut crazy young there. It’s straight pedophilic.

I remember back in the late 2000s when I was heavy into Japanese music, finding a cute song with a goofy dance and one of the girls looking super young and being curious about her. Surely it was just those Asian genes tricking me, right? Nope; the two girls were part of a huge mainstream Japanese idol group and with a graduation system (the two were a subunit to help promote an anime lol), and when I looked up the one in particular who I thought looked super young, she was! She was 12 at the filming of the mv, and debuted when she was 11! Needless to say I was horrified and disgusted.

And I’ll never forget the last time I was at a con (it’s been over a decade so chill lol) and Berryz Koubo was going to perform. At one point me and my friends were walking from a hotel to the convention center, and there was a huge lawn where people would chill and take pictures and stuff. And there were like a shitload of Asian men in plains clothes that caught my attention because why were so many people not dressed up in some regard just hanging around? It was a couple of hours before the concert (I didn’t care because we had plans for hentai viewings during the time; hentai is stupid and there’s nothing more fun than watching it with a room with strangers cracking jokes the entire time lol), and I started to think maybe it was a coincidence until I heard two talking to each other in Japanese. It made me look at the men harder and realize they were wearing tshirts and had signs and hats and other paraphernalia with smiling young girls on them. I kinda forgot about the concert and realized after we passed them that they were here to watch the concert. And that all of them had been speaking Japanese to each other as they showed off their signs and stuff. And then I realized that these were likely super fans who literally flew from Japan to America to come to an anime convention just so they could see these girls.

And let me just say that every single one of those men looked very obviously like adults.

Idol culture as a whole is pedophilic. Like I’m not saying don’t get mad, but it irks me because I wish someone had that same energy for the children debuting before they’re even teenagers in Japan. And it’s also annoying when kpop isn’t even as bad as it was in the past. Second gen idols had that appeal to a degree too, but it’s so much better now and some of yall have no clue how. There was a point where I heard idiots complaining about modern girl groups all being “girl crush” (still trying to figure out whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean) but like that concept has a more universal appeal. I realized during one of my tirades about how trash kpop is now to a friend that I don’t hear girls say Oppa anymore in songs. Back during second gen, it was common. Mind you, I don’t listen to this current generation debuting (I decided after Le Serraffim’s messy debut that I wasn’t going to follow any new group anymore lol; time to admit I’m way too old for this shit) so maybe they are and I’m not hearing it. But in the groups I listen to who are still making music, there are no Oppas anymore.

And I’m not complaining but pointing out how the focus and marketing of these girls have changed. Being cutesy so guys want to date/bang them isn’t the main selling point anymore. With the success of groups like Black Pink and even New Jeans (still don’t like them lol), girl groups that girls like are far more successful and profitable than groups for perverted men to lust after. There’s real progress being made!

I just looked up the most popular idol groups in Japan right now and a lot of the current members in one group who supposedly were around when the current generation (fucking hate graduation systems in these groups lol) debuted are in their early twenties. There are a few about 25ish, but the majority are currently 20-22. And if they debuted about 6 years ago, well, do the math. Minor central.

I wish these criticisms of debuting minors and minors in idol groups reached Japan. Because boy do they need it.

This is gonna sound like a really offensive comparison but uh....... So I was falling down this rabbithole of watching vlogs from North Korea and you watch how the residents there act and talk to tourists. It's like they're constantly being monitored and have to watch what they say and only speak positively about everything. I think it was Katie Waissel or Rebecca Ferguson that said they sort of brainwash you to only speak positively even when they were abusing them so I'm thinking similar happened with the boys. Like... the way they acted in some interviews especially later ones... Always super positive about everything even about things that weren't nice... Could hardly say a word... It's just creepy and almost cultlike. Also I'm not trying to compare One Direction to North Korea lol, I was just saying that the media training looked very similar to the way the people in NK act. It just disturbed me and made me think there was some SERIOUS brainwashing going on, plus sometimes Louis says things that sound like he really was led to believe it. Like Katie or Rebecca said something like they brainwash you and you don't even realize it and still catch yourself thinking positively about a negative experience because of those thought patterns they drilled into them!!!!! Ugh I'm CERTAIN there are horror stories behind that band, probably on a similar level to what Britney Spears went through though not as bad obviously.

That is a comparison, that's for sure. I get what you're trying to say though. 1d does have a song called 'Stockholm Syndrome', i don't think it's a coincidence. They did give them media training and they definitly belittled them and used punishment when they were behaving too gay. It really did a number on them all, but especially Louis. He struggles with confidence issues to this day and is self-concious about his flamboyant mannerisms on stage. It's so sad to watch.

I don't think parmageddon had anything to do with Louis being brainwashed though. That was a publicity grab and to confirm his straight image.

I won't be talking about everything JK says. Just a couple of little honorary mentions from me.

Before I start, I do have to say that this man is absolutely gorgeous.

It's going to be a very sad day for the y/n fans when they finally realize that JK and JM are off the market and with no other than each other.

This here.

The pressure on his shoulders, trying to reach one of his end goals.

You might think I'm being over melodramatic here, but I can't help it. I'm sitting here reading and re-reading that sentence and tears are just running down my face.

JK has always talked about hiding his true self behind a mask. He's been wanting to show us more of himself, his real self, his true self, trying to do that over the years.

That's why TTU hits so hard at times, especially their last Seoul performances of the song.

That's also why my heart broke when he told us in the Japanese interview for Film out, that he has come to realize that he will always need to wear that mask, that he might never be able to show his real self.

And now, again, he's trying to take steps to be able to show us who he really is.

We have said for ages now that JK wants out of the closet. It's that but it's also more than just his queerness. His queerness is part of who he is as a person, part of his identity, but that is not the only part of himself he is hiding from us, and his need to be out of the closet coincides with his need to stop masking himself (an interesting term that I am not using in vain here).

Next point I wanted to bring attention to:

That there folks. I literally just mentioned this in my last post. JK is the artist, he does the art. He has others, professionals in their own fields, that do the business side of things, which includes the promotions.

"I'm a dancer and a singer - I don't know about every single aspect of the business". And he is not only talking about the styling or the concepts here.

It's about what your goals are as an artist. What each and every one of the members goals are, and JK, his goal is this:

He wants out of Korea, I've said this once, I've said it a thousand times.

Ohh, I think you are right!! Now that I think about it, Jimin walking between the dancers in SMF does resemble him (& Jungkook) walking between the dancers in ON. And yes, the scale is huge!! I loved that wide angle (?) they used when they spinned the camera around, showing the dancers and the place. I couldn't figure out what this building is, someone said it might be a planetarium/observatory/whatever it's called in english. I'd love that so much, I think it ties into his moon theme so well and we know how much he loves the moon :( Also he looks hot af in those clothes and those reminded me of his vogue korea photoshoot with the tank top and the brown jacket. Sigh. He's just hot no matter what 😞

I LOVE Jimin's high notes, I am obsessed with them like it's not a coincidence all my favorite songs have at least one Jimin high note in them. Mikrokosmos, dream glow, your eyes tell, lights, film out stay gold, all his solo songs and I could keep going?? Like I'm truly obsessed with his high pitch. I love his lower register too, but my personal opinion is that higher songs suit him better. But this is just my opinion and preference 😊 But his verse in we are bulletproof pt2 and ma city though 🥵 I'm just obsessed with Jimin in general 😂 OH and that thing he does with his voice when he starts singing... That's another obsession of mine. yessss omg i read on twt in the morning that they used some type of camera (i forgot the name) and they had a video attached of the camera working and it was spinning in circles 😭 I'm so excited!!!!! and yes omg the planetarium thing lmao i loooooove reading and making theories even if in the end it makes me look like an absolute clown 😂 also the fact that this was just one small part of the mv and we could still very well get jimin dancing in the rain (not exactly rain but water would come from the ceiling inside the building basically fdhjhdjdhjs) because i saw someone also say that in the poster the ground was wet 👀 IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!!! and omg yes his outfit too gave similar vibes to ON like i can easily imagine jimin dancing to ON in that outfit. but again this was probably just one of the looks from the mv 😳
