*gasp* a replies post! A long replies post! A long replies post where I overshare again! *o* Yeah I kinda missed doing these. I’m now at home, but won’t be for much longer. First, I’m going to meet some of my new classmates on Friday and I’ll spend the whole weekend with them! We’re going somewhere...well I don’t even know where that is, just that it’s in nature and I’ve never been there before! Thank gods we’re meeting at the main station in Prague, or else I wouldn’t get there myself. Then on Moday, I have to go to my uni, and then once more on Wednesday I think? And on Wednesday, I’ll have to wake up at 4 am. my LiFe Is SoOoOOOoO HaRd oH mY gOd. No, I’ll be fine.
And a month from now, I’ll be moving to my dorm. That’s some crazy stuff. I can’t believe it’s happening. Last week, my dad actually took me to Prague and we went to see where it is. The location reminds me a lot of my home, but I won’t tell you what exactly that is because no one needs to know that. Anyway, school starts in October. I’m actually looking forward to studying, but the “living alone in a big city with people I’ve never seen before” part is scary. D: I’ll give you updates.
Anyway, today was a weird day. First, I sat alone by the lake when these two guys came and talked to me (I didn’t mind that actually, they were kinda nice), then when I got up and said I had to go home, one of them complimented my legs...which would’ve been really nice but then he basically implied he’d go to bed with me...and like literally five minutes ago he said he had a girlfriend...basically men are scary. Then later, mum and I went grocery shopping and I saw my middle school crush with his girlfriend...and decided that his girlfriend is cute, way cuter than him actually...bisexual culture I guess, crushing on your middle school crush’s girlfriend lmao. Then we went to pay for our groceries and the cashier...was my childhood friend who also happened to be my first crush and also my last crush and these days I’m wondering if I’m really crushing on him or if I’m just holding onto him because I don’t know any better. Long story but if you ever feel like I have a thing for childhood friends to lovers trope, maybe blame him.
Wow. Oversharing much? Let’s get to those replies then, before I tell you what colour my underwear is or something.
Also!! Stream Lover. You won’t regret it.

Well I can`t say this is surprisingXD
Yeah...do most people go for purple? At least most bpr people I follow/followed went for this colour :D I also wanted to do this thing where the founder chooses the pink person, but the heir is purple. Idk why, I just wanted it to be like that haha

I’m glad that sharing your worries was able to help you. Simblr can be overwhelming and well life in general can be too. It’s nice to have someone to let it out to. I’m glad you’re still around!

Thank you guys so much. This happens to me from time to time, but it’s never been this bad.
desira-sims replied to your post “Random thoughts and ideas: NSB, BC and my hair (again)”
I’m slowly working through the sentence starters too. I didn’t realize quite how difficult some of them would be. Lol
Same! I might incorporate one of them into my yellow gen because it would fit there perfectly. God I’m really going to milk this one awful awful event for angst huh. That will be frowned upon. As for the other...I have an idea for it but it doesn’t fit the og Raleb timeline at all (it was for them) and I want it to be canon...like I kinda just don’t want to call it an AU, but I guess I’ll have to.

Oof same haha. One of the reasons why I was hesitant about starting BPR was the pink :D
And then I went and made my founder marry a pink sim and have four pink children with her, because that makes sense. I love making myself suffer, yay!
Thank you, btw!

*hugs* We're our own worst critics. I used to cringe at my old stuff too, but really it was decent. I might have learned more since then, but it was still good. I'm glad you can see the good in yours. :)
I’m definitely not as hard at my younger self anymore. I went and read some of my stories written when I was 13-14, and I tried to look at it that way. They weren’t perfect, but maybe they were good for a child of that age. I mean, I always got good grades on my writing homework, and my teachers have always liked how I worked with words, so...yeah, it’s not perfect, but I’m not going to have perfectly fleshed out characters and storylines when I have barely even understood that the world isn’t just black and white, good and evil. There are shades inbetween.
That got deep again but I have a lot of feelings about this and I’m sorry to my younger writer self for how I’ve treated her. Keep going, kid.

You’ll want to punch me in the face eventually, I’m just saying.
Speaking of punching someone in the face, yesterday I was waiting for my hair to dry and I thought hmm, let’s go read gen 2 of my NSB. And...I knew Ross was an idiot when he was young, but I forgot he was that bad. I’m glad none of us accepted it and we only collectively forgave him when he got his crap together. Yay. Also yay we didn’t cancel him because cancel culture is disgusting, people can learn from their mistakes.
I’m going off topic again. That happens when I’m in a good mood.

No, jokes aside, if you ever send me an ask and I don’t respond, feel free to send it again. I think I got better at answering my asks fast, so you can definitely tell by that. Also, if I answer everyone else’s and not yours...that’s also a sign because I hardly ever keep asks private (unless I’ve been asked to do so, then I’ll always respect your wish!)

Every single post of Emerson bc was flagged and they weren’t nsfw either mostly
Yeah, this is so weird...I know people say it happens when the picture has a lot of “skintone” coloured pixels...but that’s not always the case with my flagged posts??
Also (I’ll never shut up about this)...why is there a female-presenting nipples rule when it clearly can’t ever tell female and male nipples apart? I’m just saying. And yes I get it, for AI it sure has to be difficult to tell such things apart but in my opinion that’s exactly why they should get rid of it and only incorporate it when it can tell it apart. Actually, hold on, nope. The nipple rule is stupid no matter what gender the nipple is.
And I’ve just used the word nipple more times than ever before in my nineteen-something years long life.

screenshots are cool and all but i say if you wanna rely more on text then go for it! especially if you've figured out that taking all those screenshots is an obstacle for you - do what works best for you, you know?
doka-chan replied to your post “Thoughts?”
For me a story is up to its writer. I don't mind only one picture with a huge text, or the contrary a lot of picture with little to no text. As long as we got attached to the characters, it's not important, as long as it's progressing and understandable.
dandylion240 replied to your post “Thoughts?”
I don’t mind reading a lot of text. Pics are always second to the story to me.
desira-sims replied to your post “Thoughts?”
I sort of think there should be a balance. No, not everything needs to be shown as a ss, but it should be more than one photo for a wall of text.
Thank you for your feedback! I think it would be no more than one Word page of text. Which is a lot still but I think that’s the maximum I’d go for. And I mean, I’d show all the important moments. It’s just, I guess I don’t need ten different pictures of the same conversation when these people are just standing next to each other. And it doesn’t need to be split into ten different posts either.
I’ll figure it out, don’t worry.

Drabbles - Midnight Mission: Coffee | Of Tears and Flowers

If you end up in the Avengers Tower without memories, things have either taken a very good or a very bad turn of events. Word Count: 16k Author’s Note: This developed out of a single idea that led me to almost 8k in one go. Was fun until I stopped. On hold. Update: abandoned {angst, fluff, confusion, self-doubt, mind-control, violence}
Remnants of Time - masterlist
Summary: Picks up a few months after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Steve and his whole Team are in Wakanda, hiding from the world (since the Sokovia Accords are in action). Bucky Barnes remains frozen, but the tranquility around Steve and his friends fades when the Captain follows Natasha Romanoff’s call for support on her mission to find more intelligence on Bucky in hopes of speeding up his recovery process. At the same time, a new threat arises in the shadow of Steve’s attention because his enemies don’t rest. Word Count: 77k Author’s Note: My longest work in both word count and time count. I spent a lot of time on this, seriously, and I am proud of it since it was my first real attempt at fanfiction. Will maybe receive a sequel. [finished]

Wedding Planning - Week Seven
Wednesday 20th December, 191 Days till ‘I Do’
Currently feeling like week seven is incredibly inaccurate and that its more realistically week ten but my blogs haven't been that frequent... oops! Firstly want to apologise for the lack of a post last week, I was having a pretty rubbish week and didn't have a lot to say, plus I had an interview on the Thursday so spent the Wednesday evening relaxing and trying to prepare. But I am back now and it is less than 200 days to go and wow does that not feel like a lot of time. Back in October, 11 months to plan a wedding seemed like waaaay too long so we moved it forward... now we are six months away and I am thinking oh my life there is still so much to do and so much to plan how on earth are we ever going to get it all done!?!
In case you were living under a rock, AKA anywhere in South Wales you wouldn't have experienced any troubles with Snow... in Birmingham however it was an extremely different story and this couldn't have caused more problems if it tried. Two weeks ago my engagement ring broke and I was absolutely devastated... so we had to take it to the jewellers, which was in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter (the best place to go if you are looking for an engagement/wedding ring - we specifically went to Warstone Jewellers). Normally they would have done it there and then and I would have had my ring back within a few hours or at very least the next day, but because of the snow their technician was stuck in Gloucester and couldn't get to work until the Tuesday after I had already gone home. This is what we woke up to on Sunday morning, so not only was my ring not being fixed but I certainly wasn't getting home that night!
Tumblr media
Luckily the ring has now been fixed and was completely ready to be picked up, but of course that would have been too easy right?! So Kurtis was supposed to be picking it up on Friday before coming down for the weekend so I could have it back, however due to working stoooopidly late he didn't get a chance to pick it up. I have been left ringless for three whole weeks now and I am missing it like mad. Isn't it strange how you can go from never wearing any jewellery and not really liking wearing jewellery to missing a ring on your finger after just a few months of wearing it? Either way I get my ring back on Friday and I am super excited to have it back.
We have finally had confirmation from our venue that the booking is secured and we have sorted our deposits so thats one thing not to worry about... just trying to sort out budgeting the right amount to save each month for each thing which is surprisingly not as daunting as I had originally thought it would be. We also finally decided on a cake and the design, flavours etc... which again is exciting.
The most exciting part for me is actually believe it or not making the decision to do my own makeup on the big day... so the past two weeks I have been compiling a list of the various items I will need and how much they cost, where they can be bought from and the shades etc needed. For people who don't really enjoy doing makeup this sounds like their worst nightmare but I LOVE spending time on my makeup and watching beauty gurus on youtube etc... I have been bingewatching wedding makeup tutorials and looking for tips on what products work well together for a face that will look natural(ish) and last all day, so if any of you makeup lovers have any tips or tricks please do share them with me as I am genuinely interested and open to any suggestions currently. I by pure luck/chance met a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown on my train home from work the other night after a particularly rubbish day and was so very pleased when she looked through the list of different products I had compiled and reassured me that the list was good and should work okay. She did have a few suggestions like instead of a contour maybe try a colour matched bronzer, and that if you are planning on getting a spray tan for the big day make sure you get one months in advance as well so you can colour match your foundation as well as possible to how your face will look on the day so as to not have any harsh lines or orange tones. Really don't fancy looking like an Oompa Loompa in all my wedding photos yanno!?
That being said the artist that I met had one main tip really and it was to practice and try to avoid anything too adventurous on the day because you want to feel yourself on the day and I couldn't have agreed more. The list is hella expensive though so I think I am going to start off practising with makeup I already have and just trying to achieve something similar to the style that I want to have on the day and then when I have saved up a bit of money to pay for the products I will be doing a Debenhams/House of Fraser/Selfridges/John Lewis haul and my debit card will be feeling the pain that day.... I CANT WAIT :D.
Thats all that has really happened this week, with the end of the year coming up and a lot of things being booked snd deposits having been paid it kind of feels like we can sit back, relax and enjoy the holidays as we have lots going on and travelling between Birmingham and Cardiff since I don't have time off work and Kurtis does. Planning on going fabric shopping before the end of January so that dress making can commence, but that isn't really something I will be able to update on because I don't want to give any spoilers away.
I was really really poorly this weekend just gone and my lovely lovely Fiancé put together my new desk because my makeup obsession and collection was weighing down the drawer bottom in the old desk to breaking point (lol oops). Was a lot of fun sorting through my makeup drawer and organising it into three new drawers and deciding on some stuff to throw away which I no longer use/need.... I did however find a highlighter from Primark of all places that I had forgotten about and it is absolutely gorgeous.. Shall be making far more use of that one in the days to come.
Due to being ill and stuff we haven’t really done anything selfie worthy... so here are some pictures of my now organised makeup drawers and the list of products I plan on using for my makeup on the big day. Hopefully next weeks blog will be more interesting and less about makeup, because I realise that most people aren't interested in my excessive makeup addiction.

Busy, Busy: Kitchen and Backyard Updates
This past weekend was one of those “I’m going to stay in town and recover from all of this weekend traveling I’ve been doing” types of deals… only that didn’t happen at all.
couch sleeve / affiliate sources: planter (similar) / black and white pillow (similar) / fur pillow
My intentions were initially for relaxing, finding some time to get caught up, clean the house, maybe take a nap (Charlie could sure use some cuddle time!), and just feel like I’m no longer being pulled left and right (to find time to write more posts was also on that list). And yet, I managed to pack it so full of things to talk about, I feel even more behind with getting you guys all caught up on Casa UDH!
Kitchen updates:
First of all, I finally got the pantry doors properly hung back up in the kitchen. Remember how I created a tutorial ages ago about not taking your doors off in order to paint them? Well, I didn’t listen to my own advice when I remodeled the kitchen.
Due to settling, the doors were no longer properly closing after I tried to hang them back up. Thus, a little bit of wrestling was necessary to get them to fit squarely enough back into the door frame to close them both. Plus, I lost the screws to the second door (d’oh!). I enjoy hitting things with a hammer as much as the next DIY enthusiast, but I’d be lying if I said this door and the lack of closure hadn’t caused me a lot of frustration. But woosah — the doors are back in place, so I can continue with the pantry area makeover without having to move them around.
With things a little tidier, I did a quick first floor house tour on Facebook Live on Friday (catch that here if you missed it). It’s been so long since I last did live video that I spaced and held the camera vertically (oops). You would think that my confidence came from the fact that my house was actually clean enough for live video (I also talk upcoming projects and rooms I’m working on!):
To be honest though? My motivation was really that I was having a good hair day. Most of the time, I look like a hot mess while I work on projects (my blog friends can look so polished in their DIY videos, but I wind up sweaty and dirty with sawdust across my forehead and bleeding from one shin). My hair’s natural style pattern is “beach” hair — that sort of naturally-wavy-but-also-straight style that looks amazing when there’s just enough salt in the air to make it cooperate. But under normal Atlanta circumstances, it tends to fall more limply while still frizzing out of control (aka, least flattering combo ever). I struggled for years to find the right thing that would make it work away from the beach, and I think I may have finally found it! I’ve been using some new products from the Kristin Ess line at Target (affiliate link) and I REALLY like how it isn’t weighing down my natural wavy hair and I can skip a few shampoos in between without it getting all gross or crunchy (the beach wave spray is something you use just a little bit of on dry hair). I have to laugh at myself for looking a little too serious in the photos below, but here’s what I mean:
Later that night, I had my sister and her boyfriend over for dinner (they were meeting a guy I’ve been dating for a while). You guys: I actually COOKED. I know – that’s rare enough to be its own April Fools’. Granted, it was mostly a slow cooker recipe (mushroom risotto! my favorite!) and really could’ve used more salt (the steak we served on top helped that), but I had actual plates with food on it that weren’t prepackaged and I adulted so hard. I even made a fancy cheese board to make all of the pre-dinner wine drinking socially acceptable. Considering that this house has spent years with half-finished walls and drywall dust everywhere, suddenly being the “wine and cheese” house is a pretty nice upgrade.
Tip: Trader Joe’s is a pretty great place to pick up enough cheese for two sisters from a Wisconsin family.
Backyard updates:
On Saturday, I had a failed experiment with trying to repair the back fence and gate. The damage originally happened last summer during the big sinkhole-filling grading project. In case you missed that info, Dad knocked over one of the sides of the gate when he took his turn on the backhoe (so for those keeping score, it was the more experienced DIYer who wrecked something and not me!). I tried out a new epoxy foam product that was supposed to work for post holes, but it simply didn’t live up to its advertised promises, so I’ll have to go with the tried and true concrete method next weekend. I will cover this in a separate post since seeing this reminded me of other times I’ve tried out products just because they seemed like fun, and it’s always good to share real experiences to remind us that hiccups are part of the home remodeling experience.
The grass isn’t quite growing in yet the way I hoped, so I had to come up with a new plan and also planted 14 new shrubs along the back of the yard. It will take a while before it all grows in, but the hope is that I’ll have a natural hedge to hide the mismatched fencing of my neighbors. The sun was already set by the time I finished and it poured today, so I’ll have new pics of that for you soon.
Also, a HUGE tree just fell over in my neighbor’s yard, so getting things rooted into mine is really important to make sure all of that work I did last summer isn’t undone with spring rain). Even though it takes longer, a natural hedge can be a pretty good budget option, and I may have found a way to stretch the dollar a little further (hint: the idea is in the photo above); time will tell and I’ll report back if it worked!
I then started on upgrading this small corner to the left of the yard. I put this leftover fencing in a few years ago (yay free projects!), but it’s time to make a few more decorative changes. I want a cute little flowering tree here and a few hydrangeas, plus maybe a little DIY woodworking project… perhaps a bench? And the rest of that chain link fencing is going to disappear as well. I’ve only just gotten started, so you’ll have to see how it shapes up over the next few months.
Seven Years!
Finally: April 1st marked SEVEN years since I first started this blog! As you may have read in the Instagram post I wrote about it, I find that April Fools’ Day has always been the perfect holiday to celebrate the start of this site. In past years, it was because working on this house has always been so full of laughs and embarrassing moments. But after this much time and this many stories, I like that I can look back and say that it’s the fitting anniversary for celebrating the unexpected.
Crazy how time flies, right? Thank you guys SO MUCH for reading along! <3 <3 <3 This blog wouldn’t be where it is without you awesome folks, so I really hope you guys know how much I appreciate that you’ve supported my little corner of the internet. Cheers to another year!

Even today C++ is a popular language, even still amongst the indie game programmers. Its flexible enough to create a Windows UI or program a Unix TCP server.
C++ is a challenging language; but in this course I take you step by step through the basics. Building you skills and through many code examples I show you how to build a program and how to create C++ classes and objects.
So, don’t delay, start learning today and you could be using these basics in your next computer program.
This course is an introduction to the C++ programming language for those who are already familiar with C syntax and some basic principles of object oriented programming. C++ is based on C, but extends the language with features such as function templates, namespaces, and (of course) classes. We’ll spend a lot of time in the first hour of the course talking about streams, which simplify input and output a great deal.
Here’s a list of what you’ll learn:
– Primitive data types and variables
– How to create and use namespaces
– Basic I/O in C++ using streams
– Using stringstreams: input and output directly from strings
– File input and output using streams
– Functions: how they’re like C functions, and how they differ
– Function templates – a look at writing generic code
– Classes and objects
– Constructors and destructors
– Inheritance (Single and Multiple)
– The idea of friend class members.
If you’ve been thinking about learning C++, then this course is a good first step.

Reviews:
“This is one of the courses in which I couldn’t make it till the end and had to leave it in the middle. Pros: 1. Both the instructors know the concepts. 2. Video quality is good. Cons: 1. Too short videos. For example, there are videos as short as 0.49 minutes. It cause too much distraction. 2. Explanation of the code part is lousy and unclear. 3. No to mention there is too much background noise in the code explanation part. I could even hear the keystrokes’ sound in addition to other unrecognizable sound. 4. There is a little explanation of real examples. Real time examples show real problems in compilation and execution of the program and strengthens the concepts.” (Tushar Nakini)
“Audio quality is poor, voice is breaking, and teaching quality is not upto the mark.” (Adnan Hanif)
“audio is terrible and the presentation as well” (Daniel R)
