one of my favorite kinds of doodle: take the letters that spell out the name of a thing and use them to create the shape of that thing!!! (if you can't read any of these, they will be written out below <3)
going top down, left to right:

#dandy's doodles#word art#<- is that what it's called?#spongebob squarepants#fluttershy#wally darling#kin#not heavily tagging those guys cuz it seems unnecessary#anyway. i started doing this after being inspired by an artist friend at school#who would do this with the word fish and draw it everywhere (including the school desks!)#the first design i made was the bone one. and now i just love to doodle like this#it's such a fun exercise of creativity - in both drawing and writing letters#which letters will go where in the shape? how much can i distort this letter and still have it recognizable?#the shape and the letters then go hand in hand to form meaning#even if a letter is a bit squashed and misshapen you can still read it based on the word the shape represents#like yeah the b in bone looks really weird but you can tell it's a b because it's a bone#and the same goes for the d in hand#i think the hardest to read is moth. it was so hard to squish the letters in there#i'd recommend trying this out!!#a nice and challenging exercise is using a more complicated shape with a longer phrase#that's what i did with fluttershy and that turned out really cool!!! well i think so anyway :]

Shinomori is cute. Here's a post.
He is so baby-faced. He hasn't changed at all since he was 22, to when he died of "old age" at 40
(Old age? With a face like that? 40 years old?? Gimme that kind of youth and hotness Shinomori-)
He has tiny eyebrows. Like a puppy's (rottweiler's, for example). So cute and tiny and fuffy
He naturally frowns. Look at him and his mouth and his lil nose
He has a thing about keeping his arms near his chest. He sits with his arms crossed, introduces himself with his hands over his torso, and even walks with his arms crossed toward Midoriya
He has such clear skin for someone who lived the rest of his life in a forest??? Why do Hikage and Yoichi have such nice skin despite living in terrible environments? (forest and vault + abandoned streets respectively)
Is easily scared
They knew their Quirks could be used, but Shinomori got scared of it when it happened. Even though he gave Midoriya his support and access to his Quirk beforehand. Depending on the translation; "it startled me", "you scared me", "it surprised me"
I'm not going to hold running from AFO against him because he knew he was running for his life. Who wouldn't run for their life when it's in danger? Shinomori was being chased by the strongest person in the country (and likely the world)
His sense of self-preservation is probably heightened by the nature of his Quirk to keep him out of danger too. Which makes him all the more sensitive and jumpy to danger and anything that startles him, especially when he has no warning
He's actually extremely tall, but is so socially inept and jumpy it's adorable. He's taller than Bruce.
Bruce is as tall as a vault door that the 2m AFO used.
(Meanwhile Kudo is down there-)
He has such a bad sense of humor that it's cute (his puns off Danger Sense)
It's also adorable how Shinomori just doesn't understand social conventions sometimes. He lived in a forest, so it made sense, but also— Midoriya shows up in the void to the vestige platform for the first time. He has no mouth, no clothes—and Shinomori's first idea is to stand in front of him menacingly and go: "I shall explain. I am Shinomori Hikage." SIRRRR

His Ability is basically like glorified anxiety. What if something is coming to hurt him? If something can hurt him? What if that tree falls while he's under it? And the ideas come so hard they hurt (although yes, it does detect ill intent and that's what sets it off)
He talks weirdly. Formal? Old-fashioned? Listening to him speak Japanese compared to others, it just sounds a bit different. (Translated subs don't show it very well, it's the voice itself methinks)

Kinda wise or sage-y. He did spend his life in solitude in the forests so he definitely spent a lot of time with his own thoughts. Maybe he found the meaning of life in a centipede or something one day
For someone so cute, he is also such. A fine. Specimen???

“Alright, one more time. Breathe in, breathe out…”
It had taken several minutes to get the four spectres to calm down, at least to the point of not screaming anymore.
Blinky was the only ghost who didn’t waste his breath on frantic yelling…but the carnelian spectre was hovering listlessly in the air, as pale as a red ghost could get. Pinky, Inky, and Clyde were slowly being coaxed out of a hyperventilating trance, with Pac talking them through a breathing exercise.
In and out the Ghost Gang breathed, tensely following along with Pac’s instructions. Once the spooks reached a point of composure, Pac spoke as calmly as he possibly could amidst the scare of their ominous entrance.
“Now, one at a time, tell us what happened—"
“Disaster, that’s what happened.”
“A catastrophe of tyrannical proportions.”
“We’re doomed. YOU’RE doomed.”
Confused and frustrated, Pac was a second away from demanding an answer from the spooks outright. But Cylindria beat him to it.
“What do you mean doomed, that’s all you’ve been saying since you got here! What happened?”
“Don’t patronise us, sister, you’d act the same if you saw what we saw!” Pinky threw back angrily, on the tipping point of hysteria again. Had Blinky not held an arm in front of her, then the pink ghost surely would’ve gone up to yell in her rival’s face.
“We made it out with our afterlives,” Inky said, timidly. Clyde quickly joined him. “Even just being out here is putting us in danger! If Betrayus finds out, then-then-“
“Enough.”
It was barely a whisper, but it caught everyone’s attention.
All eyes settled on Blinky as the red ghost hovered forward, numbly. It was the first time he had spoken since the Ghost Gang arrived.
Pac looked at Blinky expectantly, a dozen questions swimming in his eyes. A dreadful silence befell the air as Blinky looked Pac dead in the eye. There was a mask of deep foreboding and fear hidden in Blinky’s eyes, readying himself to speak.
“We need to talk. Something…something horrible happened.”
Blinky was not the kind of ghost to be scared. Not for good reason. Pac saw first-hand what Blinky was capable of. He could defend himself and others with ease, he had no reason to be easily scared.
To see the red spectre so numb and ghasted, barely keeping his fear restrained…
Pac glanced over his shoulder, meeting the worried stares of his friends with one of his own.
“Not here,” Spiral warned, “people could see you. Let’s go back to the maze.”
No one needed to be told twice.
Soon, four Pacworlders and four ghosts retreated into the quiet confines of Maze 256, ushering each other on hastily.
The air of dread that followed them in was nothing short of suffocating.

thinkin bout how my claus (nonbinary) isn't a "man," and rejects being pinned into that box. they're iffy on whether they were ever really a "boy." and not too keen on being called flint's "son." it invokes too strongly all the imitations & expectations they'd tried and failed to uphold, false ideals of callous strength & blind courage. all the ways both flint and claus let each other down in pursuit of unwavering masculinity.
but they never stop considering themself a "brother." even though there's fumbled expectations there, too, their bond with lucas was the one thing that held up despite it all. they consider it worth preserving & salvaging, refusing to let their trauma tarnish it. seeing themself as a man or as flint's son makes them queasy, but they always find comfort in being lucas' brother. keeps them grounded. brother, gender neutral.

Okay so, I'm trying to finish my Eddie Begins missing scene fic this week since the ep is on the list this week for the rewatch but unfortunately, like everything I tried to write ever, this seems to have escaped my control. Have a bit of it tho. prev snippet here.
Eddie is not alone for long though, Buck is walking in soon after, fisting the ends of the sleeves of his LAFD hoodie, hair looking like he's been running his hands through it, eyes a bit wild as he takes in the IV and monitor Eddie is hooked up to.
"Are you still out of it?" Buck asks, voice hoarse as he steps closer to the bed.
"I don't think so," Eddie says, words scratching his throat and he watches as Buck's shoulders relax as he drops into the chair next to him.
"That was too close, man."
"I know," Eddie says, turning his head on the pillow so he can look at Buck more comfortably.
"How you feeling?" Buck asks, placing his hand on top of Eddie's, rubbing his thumb over it in a way that makes Eddie wonder if he even realizes he's doing it.
"Cold," he says and Buck chuckles a bit breathlessly.
"That does tend to be a side effect of hypothermia," he says, the small smile on his lips making his whole face soften into an expression Eddie can only describe as fond. It weirdly makes him want to keep looking at him.

Some warm ups I did because I haven’t drawn in weeks.
I like to imagine that Heiji found out about Shinichi’s whole Magical boy gig (because, c’mon, he’s a detective, he’s gonna find out sooner or later) and scolds him when he gets hurt. He only follows Shinichi around just to beat him over the head when Shinichi walks off a twisted ankle or something and Shinichi just accepts it because it’s nice to have company once in a while. (Though he did try to make him go away when he first started trailing after him into labyrinths, but Heiji’s a stubborn ass friend and he will NOT let his best buddy walk home alone injured to an empty house)
