Not the first to say it, but damn can’t believe Galladay really went from toxic yaoi to doomed tragic yaoi.
Alright fellow Galladay trash, where’s the modern AU fix-it fics?
I need to see Gallagher single dad with Misha plus their dog/cat Sleepie falling for entertainment company CEO Sunday. Don’t ask me how they met, fuck it, throw in bodyguard AU Gallagher who works part-time at a bar, boom there that’s how they meet, idk I’m making this up on 3 hours of sleep.
You’ve heard of slow burns, now get ready for Galladay blaze it.
They’re speedrunning the relationship from hate -> annoyance -> mild disgruntlement -> weirdly vibing -> ok wow never knew I needed that in my life -> Sunday is way too ok with spoiling Misha -> ok so we got married -> alright we’re dismantling the government now -> Sunday went to jail for 5 minutes for attempting “peaceful” world domination, don’t worry we (Gallagher) forgave him -> Sunday’s stepping down as CEO to run a coffeeshop idk look someone get him some therapy -> Robin is president now while she still goes on tours -> Misha won an engineering competition while this was all going on
Bottom line: Robin is out living her best life while Sunday is in the back somehow having the most insane week of his life. I have no other notes for her here except that she is happy, and successful, and is Sunday’s last remaining brain cell. She and Misha are having some fun Aunt/Nephew bonding times while Galladay are accidentally-on-purpose committing multiple war crimes.
No, we don’t have time to unpack 2.2 and all its trauma, we cope with modern AU :)

I know a lot of us latched onto Charlock and Colin right off the bat, and they do have the air of holding back wells of history that are very intertwined with the political games of Calorum, which is intriguing and engaging and I'm looking forward to seeing what they're up to during the time jump and beyond, as well as finding out what exactly their webs of intrigue involve.
However, I am also in love with the other three and how much they feel like they're still on the outside of the political games, even if they are ensnared in them.
Amangeaux has been a queen for a span of time, but always a foreigner all the same—she seems cut off from the Vegetanian goings-on, though it's unclear how much that was the case when her husband was alive, and at the same time, she does not fall back onto playing the game when challenged like someone who is more trained in that might.
Karna is a spymaster, yes, and seems plenty knowledgeable about webs of information and the world's cruelty, but she's still a child. She does not have a large pool of experience to draw on, and she has never seen the scale of conflict that is coming up close. She most of them all believes that she does understand conflict and political games, while also believing herself above it, but at the end of the day, she is too young to truly understand the war that is coming.
Deli is the child of a leader of a nation, but that nation is viewed still as an outsider among those nations who consider themselves more civilized, and he is very trusting in spite of the training that he has been brought up in. He's an adult, but he exhibits a similar amount of naivete as the Rocks twins will twenty years from now, as heirs to kingdoms who are eager to make their own way and find freedom, without fully understanding the weight of responsibility that is settling upon them.
All of these characters exhibit varying degrees and kinds of innocence and naivete, and at the end of the day, for all of the comedy of the concept, this is a war story. War stories, particularly ones about how the world changes in times of war, require a certain amount of naivete, in order to contrast how brutal the world can become against what is lost in the process.

im off the thought that most of these warriors losses are due to coaching decisions (wrong lineups) and bad luck (injuries, dray out so no defense, random nba players turning into steph curry on the 3 line— grizzlies 3rd unit hitting TWENTY 3s on them today????) but today’s loss was just so indefensible and bad that its actually hilarious. the silly and stupid and pathetic 18 turnovers, icing out klay completely— just no one at all on the warriors trying to find him i mean 5 attempts until the 4th quarter are you serious— and then sitting steph and trying to run a “save us klay” lineup with 6 minutes left in the 4th when he’s ice cold due to your own offense choices its just very very hilarious. TJD butter fingers and Podz too many attempts not enough shots and a shit ton of fouling lol not their best game but i also think theyre just rookies and honestly have put a lot on their shoulders due to just. everything thats happened this year lol.
there’s things out of our control that we could be mad about (our lack of calls as usual and the 5v8 i mean the amount of FTA the grizzlies got esp considering we got to the paint more than they did so thats just ridiculous lol) but at the end of the day they didnt play hard enough and severely underestimated the grizzlies due to their injuries which was just. so so pathetic like whatever this loss the warriors truly did this to themselves

I’m always a sucker for when a character flaw is a direct foil to a character’s finest trait.
For example: if I see an actor (usually female or nonbinary, though not always), and they absolutely hit the first time out the gate, I will hyperfixate like a motherfucker and devour everything they’ve ever done! A fan for life! I’ll invent reasons to enjoy even their worst work! I’m a champion for this person’s art, goddammit!
But if the first time I saw an actor, he was playing an absolutely DOGSHIT dude—even though I am 5000% aware of and embrace the fact that an actor is Not their character—
Get that man out of my face. Never wanna see him again. Get him ouuuuutta here. I am begging.

HC/AU: Satan’s Biggest Failure and Schezo’s Corruption
A Headcanon I’ve had for a while, is that for the most part Satan had a hand in or was the one that sealed the Runelord away. In my head this made sense, Satan for all intents and purposes is a God, and if Shin Madou is in anyway canon the Runelord was a threat to multiple universes (Gaia and Madou), so of course Satan had to put a stop to him or something. That’s what it all was for a while until I realized something.
That plan couldn’t’ve failed anymore than it did.
Not only is he no longer imprisoned, he had mentally broken and manipulated a child (Adult at this point), killed multiple mages, stolen undocumented amounts of magic, and managed to get himself into a comfortable place with not only his Jailor, but the descendants of the Betrayer and Goddess of Spacetime(another Headcanon), honestly the only thing that changed for him was a new body that did things on it’s own sometimes.
Which brings me to the topic at hand. Imagine, what would happen if the Runelord had re-emerged from Schezo’s mind (I assumed after finally breaking down, because for someone who was possessed by an ancient all powerful evil mage he’s taking it rather well) and started going on a rampage, how much of that would sting for Satan, A God who had a hand in sealing him away.
(Terrible!Artist rendition of them meeting up)
This soon spiralled in my mind into a more tragic route. Imagine, if you will being Satan, you are now face to face with someone you had to seal away for the betterment of the universe, in the body of someone who you assumed was just power hungry in the literal sense, later realizing the man had almost no control of his actions. Someone who had to be mentally broken down more and more until the Runelord had enough leverage to take full control. And what were you doing between these events.
Making fun of him.
Not just making fun of him, actively encouraging others to do the same, to the point where his own nickname is more well known than his actual name. Sure, for the average man that could just be insulting, but for someone who was being mentally broken down day by day, how much of that would’ve sped up the process. How long has he been helping the man he meant to keep sealed away.
In the end, this could only lead to a loss either way, even when Satan ends up killing the Runelord for good (I mean he’s god and in this headcanon already failed once, he’s definitely killing him for good now) all that’s left is what remains of Schezo. either it could and up like my last HC post where I stated that when Schezo dies his soul ends up in the void and is unresurrectible. Or, more probable he finally gained full control of his body again, and all that’s left is a mentally 14 year old man, riddled with guilt of crimes he very much done, and was mentally tortured for years. Either way, he’s killing what is essentially an innocent man too.
And remember this is Satan, the Dark Prince, someone so hung up on the death of his wife he follows around her own reincarnation and rabbit creature she gave him, because he misses her. If he’s that hung up for something he had no control over, imagine how he’d feel for something he did have control over, something he was actively involved in, something he was suppose to prevent and failed at, ruining the lives of countless people, especially someone who would’ve never done the things he did to begin with if not for his failure.
IT WOULD EAT HIM ALIVE.
good thing this is just a headcanon

I've been watching a lot of Omega Strikers guide videos lately and the one thing all of them have in common is that every single one of them highlights the importance of "just have fun".
That's something people say all the time, about any game. But there was one guide I watched yesterday, and in addition to giving that tip, also mentioned the importance of not being toxic and blaming your losses on your teammates.
This is genuinely the most helpful tip of all time. Like this guide really grilled into me just how horrible having that toxic mentality is. The full first minute of the video was dedicated to that. He also talked about how being toxic and playing w that mentality actively makes you worse at the game, period. Full stop. And he explained the reasoning for that as well.
I've heard this said and yeah I believe it as well, but this was the first time I'd ever had it thoroughly explained to me. It really put things into perspective for me.
Hoping I can improve at both Omega Strikers and Splatoon by keeping this in mind 👍
