iridescent shark get their name from an iridescent sheen that can be observed in certain angles of lighting. adults are overall gray in color.

iridescent sharks are truly a shoaling fish, however, a set-up of gargantuan proportions would only be able to adequately house several individuals.

iridescent sharks are schooling fish that prefer groups, are accustomed to living in rivers, and are active fish that require space.

irisescent sharks have very poor eyesight, so detected movement from outside of their habitat can be seen as a threat.
