People can survive the fall, but that doesn't mean they will. Here you are, after all, and you didn't dive. You went in feet first and here you are broken.

the way people online talk about autism is getting really weird, like do they know that neurotypicals still have interests? that someone being passionate about a hobby doesn't mean they're autistic? you guys know that right

I can't remember how much of this is implied canon or my own interpretation, but I fully believed that Chiron recognized Percy was a son of Poseidon from the fountain incident with Nancy Bobofit, knew that a child of the Big Three being claimed would be a total shit show, and simply chose not to say a word about it

Into the Water
by Paula Hawkins
A small town called Beckford has many on edge as women keep coming up dead in “the drowning pool”. A part of the river where people seem to end all their problems. When a young girl and a mother come up dead a few months apart, people start questioning what is going on.
A thrilling and captivating story told from each townies point of view. This book had a hold on me through the whole story, never knowing what was going to happen next. An astonishingly well written mystery. I applaud Paula Hawkins for this. I think I love it even more than The Girl on the Train.
TW: book contains descriptions of sexual abuse and misogyny.
