Starring McDonagh’s In Bruges duo, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, as feuding former best friends in 1923 Ireland near the end of the Irish Civil War on the tiny fictional island of Inisherin, where everyone knows each other's business, just off the Irish west coast, it's a deceptively simple premise commenting on the twentieth century’s series of European conflict.
Screened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival as part of the Special Presentations program.

My Predictions For the 2022 Academy Awards
The date of this year’s Oscars have been moved up an extra two weeks from the 2021 awards. The pandemic is in the midst of dying down and more people are heading back to the theatres. This year was better for me for movie watching. I saw enough films to make up 93 of this year’s 125 nominations! I only streamed one contender this year and it was just yesterday!

突然絶縁されて困惑する男&絶縁したのに付きまとわれて困惑する男の小競り合いが次第に島の人間模様を浮き彫りにし、悲劇を加速する💨
教養や創造性のない人は無価値？
優しく良い人であること自体は無価値？
そんな二項対立の間のグレーな部分の揺らぎを描いた良作‼️
個人的な争いと戦争の地続きを意識させる映画でしたが、それよりもっと人間関係の価値についての根源的な部分を考えてしまいました😮💨
優しさは残らない≒価値がないと言い放つコルムに対して、パードリックが自分の妹が優しいことを一生忘れないと言い返す場面は、この物語の核心に触れる場面でした💨
だんだん自分の存在意義について迷い始めるパードリック、人の優しさの価値を否定しきれないコルム、この2人の困惑した表情と、こちらも困惑するような行動の連鎖は、胸を痛めつつも面白い‼️
動物達を絡めた演出も見事だったと思いますし、脇を固める登場人物たちも魅力的でした👍
流石です🌟
主人公2人の眉毛力が凄い‼️
眉毛の形状はもちろんのこと。困惑したり話込んでる時の眉毛の動きの豊かさよ‼️
とくにコリン・ファレルの眉毛が素晴らしく、劇中の7〜8割はハの字型で上下したり、軽く旋回したり😅
