Hello all, I know I don't interact on this blog much, but I'd like to promote and share some of the writings from amazing Haikyuu!! authors on Tumblr. I originally read this at.. 5am?? Yeah cause that’s when my brain decides ‘let’s wake up!!’ (sorry gotta share that haha) and I’m drowsy and all and just reading all these kind words I kid you not I freaking cried.

Thank you so so much. I can not tell you how much your kind words mean to me. People have rarely been rebloging my fics lately it feels like (besides the Owls and my Mutuals who leave awesome comments) and if people do reblog they don’t leave any tags really and if they do it’s only ‘Haikyuu, Akaashi x reader’ thing (feels like at least.) We check tags guys. If you reblog anything of ours we check the tags to see if you’ve said anything. We care about what you think.

Now let’s address your tags haha. I love Bokuto so so much, I also thought he’d make such a great, goofy, funny wingman, making funny signals for Akaashi to hurry up or do this and that hahaha. When ever I write Akaashi I try and capture the actions of him fidgeting with his fingers, cause you always see him do that and that’s just apart of his character. He’s also very polite as well like you said. Despite the fact that he’s nervous he tries to be as polite as possible, it’s just him.

Ah yes the Harry Styles part 😂He has a song named Sunflower, that I listened to a lot while writing this, so I was like heck, why not, we need some comedy in here, and I thought that would be hilarious and such a good part and it would show Bokuto’s personality (he get’s kinda anxious like ‘oh crap Akaashi isn’t your favorite person?? This famous singer is?? But you learn later on that Akaashi actually is your favorite person) And I think it’s just great.

Iwaizumi Hajime: On the day we fell in love

"Careful there!" You grabbed the running child, preventing a potential accident.

Kids are adorable, but they can be quite a handful too. "Y/n! My hands are stuck!" Your young cousin, Yuudai, trotted over to you, his palms together. You noticed the residue of glue on his shirt.

"Give me a moment!" You assured him while trying to settle the two crying infants in your arms.

The amount of noise in the living room was so loud and chaotic that you were almost at the brim of breaking down.

You should not overestimate your abilities and volunteered to take care of your three younger cousins while your aunt was away.

"There, there," You heard a low, soft voice as a pair of strong arms grabbed the two crying infants away.

The sight of your classmate cradling the two crying infants and lulling them to sleep is just too much for you to handle. Butterflies flew relentlessly in your stomach as they forcefully made their way up to your gullet.

Iwaizumi had kindly offered to assist you in taking care of the children so that you can have enough time for the Science project both of you were working.

"I think these two might need some milk before going to sleep!” Iwaizumi speculated.

You nodded in agreement, scampering to the kitchen to prepare two milk bottles.

Iwaizumi leaned against the entrance to the kitchen, his eyes on your busy figure as you poured the milk powder into the bottles.

It was appealing, and amusing to see the calm and collected you panic to prepare the milk. It was clear that it was not your first time babysitting children from the way you swiftly tightened the bottles and rubbed it between your palms.

Iwaizumi felt something warm manifest in his heart, and a smile etched up his face uncontrollably.

Seeing you take care of children was something he had not expected. Not that he was complaining.

And this very sight of you tending to the needs of the children while he held them hit him differently.

He struggled to hold back the urge to think of you and him cuddled up in the living room, surrounded by children during the weekends as Peppa pig played on the television.

His head began to feel giddy with the surging amounts of thoughts his wild imaginations promised. Nevermore had he wanted you to be in his arms than right now.

Iwaizumi always knew that you were different to him compared to the others, but he could not wrap his finger around it. He thought that maybe it was your personality that he admired.

However, this urge to have you be with him for the rest of his life, to be with him as he kissed the back of your hand when you say ‘I do’, to be with him till both of you were too old to move told him otherwise.

He is in love with you.

“Please lay them on the bed, Iwaizumi-san!” You cried out as you placed the bottles on the nightstand by the bed, quickly running back into the kitchen to get a wet cloth for Yuudai, who was still trying to get the hardened glue off his hands.

“Yuudai,” You called out to him patiently, wiping off the glue that stuck between his fingers. “Please don’t try to glue your hands together again! You are a big boy now, aren't you?”

Yuudai pouted, his chubby cheeks flaring up, and you noticed the pool of water in his eyes as he quickly looked away. You were about to walk away when you heard a soft voice, “But then you would only give Iwaizumi-san attention.”

A smile involuntarily made its way up to your face, and you felt your heart melt when you processed what the boy had just said.

Bending down, you enveloped Yuudai into a warm hug, assuring him that you would never neglect him.

“Now, how about we go to sleep with the twins?” You asked, picking him up and bringing him into the bedroom where the younger twins were sucking on their milk bottles.

Iwaizumi turned on the radio to play lullabies and made sure that the infants do not fall off the bed.

Yuudai climbed into his bed as you tucked him under the sheets, giving him a forehead kiss before cleaning the prior mess made in the living room.

What you had not noticed was the look of triumph he shot in Iwaizumi’s direction after the kiss.

By the time you were done cleaning up the mess made during dinner, the bedroom was dark, with only a dim orange light from the nightstand. You found Iwaizumi sitting on the floor while his head was lying on the twins’ bed, fast asleep.

The sight before you was so peaceful, yet it was undeniable that a tsunami was forming in your heart. It made you all warm and fuzzy, and the only thing preventing you from taking a blanket over to cuddle with him was the possible chance of waking the children up.

By then, it was evident that any feelings towards him were more than just admiration.

You fell in love with him.

“Iwaizumi-san, it’s getting late.” You got beside him and whispered gently into his ears after snapping out of your thoughts.

Iwaizumi surveyed his surroundings before letting out a low groan, his eyes meeting yours.

Your eyes seemed to glow under the reflection of the light from the nightstand. It seemed as though his eyes were a magnetic field, you couldn’t pull away.

You starred helplessly as Iwaizumi inched closer to you, his burning gaze never leaving you. Iwaizumi’s hand made its way to your right hand and locked his fingers with yours. His warm breath hit you as he stared at your lips and leaned in.

And then, sparks flew as you melted into the kiss and his embrace.

“I think I love you, y/n. So so much.” You heard him whisper as he placed his forehead on yours.

Feeling the blood rush to your cheeks, you quickly averted his gaze, “I think I love you too, Hajime.”

On that day, there were no fireworks, or festive celebrations, just a bright promising moon and its abundance of stars that littered the sky.

On that day, there were no cheers or well wishes, just the soft sleep-inducing lullaby playing a short and sweet tune from the radio.

On that day, there were no long confessions, just a simple kiss that sealed both of your feelings.

It didn’t matter to the both of you that your confessions weren't planned, or filled with complicated procedures. It was a special day for both of you.

Many years later, you would still tease Iwaizumi whenever he buys you flowers on this day. And he would kiss you on the cheek before whispering into your ears,

"Because it was the day we fell in love."

For that split second, you’re back in your old apartment. Tangled on the worn couch as you trade stories between kisses. Maybe, you can get that back, you think to yourself.

fic tag game: talk about your favorite fic you’ve written

I am very in love with the whole Magic AU if you haven’t noticed. I think 50% of my WIP’s talk about magic and the idea of magical universes. Because of that Orbit has easily become one of my favorite fics. I know that the Realeza series is also a magical based but I haven’t fleshed it out like Orbit.

My favorite thing about Orbit isn’t even the romance, though I did have fun with the whole interconnected souls aspect of things, but it was the world building. I really had fun molding the magic around and deciding how my magical world would differ from the rest of it.

The funny thing to me is that Orbit actually started out as SK-112 but in the middle of the night I thought “what if there was a universe where souls called to each other using magic?” and then I fell asleep and dreamt up the whole world. It took me two weeks of on and off writing and then after the first draft was done I wrote the final draft in two days. I really really enjoyed writing that fic and honestly it’s one of like three fics that I felt completely happy with once I finished writing it :)

@Inarizakikoukou is so good! Long Black for Atsumu is one of my fave fics (way more slice of life but I know you would like the themes) and then she has two fantastically angsty oikawa fics. I recommend her entire portfolio but those are some highlights.
