every so often gotham will have like A Really Good Thing going but just decide No actually were going to drop this subplot with no explanation ?
im trying to think of times theyve done it well n all i can think of was butch working for penguin > penguin teaming up with ed > butch getting jealous leading to his demise/annex from the team... like that was a really really good way to seperate butch&penguin! same for martin. they removed him in a way that Made Sense and built character.
meanwhile when they decided “nygma and oswald should stop working together” they? introduced the weirdest plot device ive ever seen in order to do it. its so frazzling. that was a mess.
also freak family? literally what was the point of oswald&ivy falling apart? (and dont get me started on ivy in the preview im screaming)
ntm babs/tabs falling out that was horribly handled (they reeeaaally shouldve pulled on the jealousy thing instead of just throwing that in last minute and fleshed out tabs issues with babs instead of just mushing her with butch), selina&bruce’s falling out (their relo is like so ugly dont get me started), and harvey/jim’s whole thing rn
gotham writers . get it together and stop dropping plotlines for convenience sake... have characters act like humans?
