“Wait, Max, are you lying in bed?”
“Yeah? What of it?”
“Lazy sod!”
“Oi! It’s Sunday afternoon, I’m allowed to be lazy!”
The bickering continued next to me. Max was, in fact, lying on his bed with his phone stretched out in front of him, watching his friends faces on the screen. It was always nice when they did social calls - I got a good giggle out of whatever stories the core Quadrant members had to share.
Even though they didn’t know I existed.
My boyfriend looked over from his spot, to see me smiling as I lay next to him and I watched his eyes turn to hearts in front of me. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one.
“Max! What are you looking at?” Ria’s voice was heard.
“Nothing.”
“Lies! He’s gone all gooey.” Niran. “Who’s with you?”
“No one, it’s just me.” Max tried to defend himself.
Even though I couldn’t see them, I could imagine the faces of everyone on the call as more chaos ensued.
I couldn’t stop myself: I laughed.
“Oh my god there is something with you!” Lando nearly yelled.
It became impossible to hear anyone clearly for a few seconds as they all spoke over each other. Max’s face scrunched up at all the voices, clearly regretting his life choices.
“Hello random person!”
“Is it someone we know?”
“Let’s see them then!”
Gently, I patted Max’s leg to get his attention and he moved closer.
“It’s ok, you can tell them,” I whispered in his ear.
“Are you sure?” He whispered back.
I nodded, to which Max smiled and got back in front of the camera.
“Ok, ok! All of you shut up!”
The silence came thick and fast.
“I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”

It had started just like any other day. The sun baked the streets and made buildings glitter as it hit windows far above my head. I had planned my day ahead of time and knew exactly what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go.
And then everything went sideways when I saw him. He was standing by himself on the pavement, a confused expression on his face and a map in his hand. Normally, I would leave tourists to their own devices – there were plenty of places to get help if one needed it. But there was something about him; maybe it was the spark of kindness that I saw in his eyes as he moved out of an elderly man’s way.
“Excuse me?”
He turned, looking as bewildered as I felt by this interaction.
“Do you need some help?” I asked, and watched his entire body relax.
“Yeah. Yes, please. I’m so lost.” He said in a British accent and smiled, almost nervously.
On the map, he pointed out where he was wanted to go and much to his luck, I was going the same way.
“We can walk together,” I suggested. “Make sure that you don’t get lost again.”
“I would very much appreciate that.”
And so, we walked. He told me his name was Max and then I told him mine. He explained to me about how he had wanted to be a normal tourist for the day, get out onto the streets and experience Dubai for himself. And how with that experience had come with getting lost within the first five minutes of leaving his hotel.
Although I felt bad, I was also amused. Max seemed so genuine in his efforts and the way he spoke about things. It didn’t hurt either that he was kind of cute.

“When’s your flight landing?”
“It should be 4pm UK time.”
The airport was grand and it seemed that the stream of people moving about never seemed to end. But soon enough I would be in the air and on my way to England, and this would be a memory.
“Ok, send me a message when you land,” Max’s voice was soft through the phone.
“Yes, Max. You’ve already asked me to do that.”
“Sorry, I just want to make sure that I’m there.” He paused. “I’ve really missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too. But we’ll see each other soon.”
I looked up and saw the sign change, showing that it was time to board.
“Max, I have to go, we’re boarding.”
“Fly safe, please.”
I laughed a little at that.
“I’m not the one flying the plane.”
“I know but… just… Be safe, I love you.”

Max finished telling our story and waited with baited breath.
“You’ve been in a relationship for a year and we didn’t know about it!?” Lando finally said.
“Yeah.”
“Can we meet them?” Steve.
Max seemed hesitant. Despite having told them the whole story, a year of keeping everything on the downlow was about to officially end. I could see that Max didn’t want to give it up just yet.
“Max,” I said quietly. “Give me the phone.”
Slowly, Max passed the phone over as I sat up properly.
“Hello, everyone.”
Yet again that afternoon, chaos erupted as everyone on the call tried to be the first to say ‘hello’ or ask questions.
The smile was on my face without even thinking. I felt Max slip his arm around my shoulders and pull me closer.
“It’s nice to finally meet you all,” I said, though I doubted they could even hear me.
And so I started the next chapter of my story with Max.

For the askmeme: Scorpia x Catra AND Abby x Lev. (I'm so obvious in my choices!!!! lmao)

scorpia & catra
who steals the french fries off the other’s plate:
bit of a cheat, but they both do. or, to be more specific, there isn’t really “my plate, your plate” when theyre eating together. they never shared in the horde, but once theyre out and theres lots of good food with no rationing, they definitely share. it took catra a while to learn “if im allowed to steal off your plate you can steal off mine too”, but honestly scorpia was just so enthusiastic about trying everything that catra couldnt really say no to sharing. honestly, its still a little bit of a defense mechanism. it “looks better” if they both get a few things and share them, over both of them loading their plates up with a ton of stuff. for this reason they tend to sit next to each other at meals
who jokingly moves in for the kiss when someone asks if they’re a couple:
after a while, when theyve both talked A Lot and are a lot more comfortable in their relationships, catra does. only because it flusters the hell out of scorpia. scorpia is very *blush blush* OH NO SHE IS ACTUALLY JOKING I AM WITH PERFUMA THE LOVE OF MY LIFE and then perfuma is in the background like Oh i dont mind sharing C:< which flusters scorpia more
who has to bust or bail the other out of jail:
catra, funnily enough. it’s less “jail” and more “scorpia and perfuma were roleplaying at the bar again and things got a little out of hand”. if scorpia DOES get thrown in jail jail its because she accidentally spoiled a book to mermista and mermista got a bit too mad about it. catra doesnt post bail she just has to talk mermista down
who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues:
scorpia, definitely. catra has NO IDEA how to have healthy relationships but she honestly is trying her best to learn. perfuma is a big help, especially explaining WHY things are healthy or unhealthy and the mental effect they can have on people, but scorpia is really great about giving practical examples, and shes open enough that she doesnt mind using herself as an example, even when its something she did wrong
who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes:
CATRA but honestly scorpia thinks its hilarious every time which is the only reason catra does it (she does it to glimmer for the opposite reason. she gets so mad)
who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk:
it depends. scorpia REALLY LIKES the top bunk but frequently has trouble with them. if the bed is too close to the ceiling, she’ll end up knocking her claws against it. if the ladder is too dainty, its hard for her to climb up. in those cases, catra takes the top bunk. but theyre just as likely to pull the mattresses and pillows and blankets off and sleeping on the floor
who starts and who wins the pillow fights:
scorpia. exclusively. catra HATES IT. SHE DOESNT EVEN WANT TO PLAY AND SCORPIA IS SO FUCKING STRONG. A LADY WHO CAN LIFT A TANK SHOULDNT BE HITTING CATRA IN THE HEAD WITH ANYTHING EVEN IF ITS A PILLOW. ONE DAY HER HEAD IS GONNA TUMBLE RIGHT OFF AND THEN WONT SCORPIA FEEL BAD THEN!!!
who says “your pants would look better on their floor” to the other’s potential crush:
oh definitely catra. she flirts with perfuma literally all the time. about half of the time its on scorpia’s behalf and the other half of the time its while making aggressive eye contact with scorpia (she has perfuma’s word it doesnt bother her)

abby steals lev’s food, which he DOES NOT UNDERSTAND at first. thats just like. NOT a thing they did and he’s super offended?? if he ever got food taken away it was as a punishment, so abby has to explain that its meant to be a sign of familiarity and teasing. she does offer to stop, but after thinking about it lev decides its okay
who has to bust or bail the other out of jail:
while occasionally lev will “act out” to test boundaries and new rules, he is for the most part extremely polite and well mannered. abby, on the other hand, will absolutely get into fights with people she deems are jerks, so lev does have to ask very nicely for her to be let out of the holding cells (”because im a child and she’s my guardian you cant leave me alone”) like. every month at least
who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues:
abby TRIES to give lev the talk and honestly it scars both of them so much she decides that it would be better if she got one of the medics to do it (she finds one specifically who can talk to the trans side of things as well, because she’s doing her best but it’s not her area of expertise)
who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes:
abby does. this is another talk they have to have about some “rude” actions being friendly, but this one lev decides he does not like. he cant understand why you’d WANT to cheat at games - it makes it unfair so how do you even know who’s the winner??? however, if anyone ELSE tries to cheat lev, abby will cheat them back, and lev decides he does in fact like that
who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk:
actually, abby calls dibs on the bottom bunk. lev has seen lofted beds before, but he doesnt really have a preference where he sleeps. abby, however, says she prefers the bottom. in actuality, she wants to be in the bottom bunk because if there’s a threat, it would be easier to protect lev that way
who starts and who wins the pillow fights:
lev and yara used to pillow fight when they were young if their mother wasnt home, but he hasnt done it in a long time. he’s hesitant about pillow fighting with abby, just because it was something he did with his sister, but once he decides he’s on board he is brutal. abby mostly goes easy on him because. well. her arms. but lev is like. full on tactical strategy, using his environment to his advantage, launching pillows from vantage points kind of thing about it. even if abby lets herself lose (its ...... not as on purpose as shed like to admit, the kid is fast) she initiates it still because she really loves seeing him have fun

Mikko Rantanen x fem!Reader
Warnings: none. A little sad though
This is my very first fan fic! I got this idea into my head and couldnt get it out so i had to write it up! Idk if its any good i certainly hope it is! Im posting this on mobile so idk how it will look posted. Sorry! Its kinda a long one
Mikko sighed as the doctor stitched up his cheek. It had been a rough game against the preds and he ended up catching a skate balde with his face. It was a nasty gash that went from his temple and on to the corner of his lip.
It hurt and he wasn't ashamed to say he cried.
Lots of local anesthesia and a few stitches later there was just a very dull throbbing in the left side of his face. Some one had come back to tell him the 3rd period started and he desperately wished he could be out there right now. He was taken back to the locker room told to keep his bandages dry and get cleaned up and changed.
He shed a few more tears out of frustration. He knew he would have to sit out a few games to let this heal a bit before he could get back out on the ice. He grabed his phone. He didn't have any texts or missed calls from (Y/N) as he expected. You were working tonight and wouldnt get off till almost 2 am, so you wouldn't find out about his injury until your shift was done. Hopefully. You hated that job and Mikko often told you just to quit and not to worry about expenses. He would take care of anything that was needed. He washed up and changed back into regular clothes. He couldnt wait to get back to the hotel and put on soft stretchy clothes. He sat down in his stall and stared at his phone. Should he text (Y/N)? You were working and he didn't want you to worry. There was still had 5 hours left of your shift. He let out another sigh and hung his head as he shut off his screen.
His thoughts were interupted as whoops and cheers came from outside the door. It burst open and his teammates poured in. He smiled as much as he was able and was embraced by a few guys. Gabe and Z took their time talking to him making sure he was doing fine.
"I won't really know how I feel until I'm not numb." He joked with them. His mood was brightening as his captain and friends told the story of their victory. He ignored the pain in his chest for not being there. That he didn't get to see it.
The night continued and interviews were completed. He declined doing one until his face felt better. He was more than happy to use his cheek as an excuse to not talk to media. Normally he didn't care, but he just really didn't want to do it tonight. As the reporters cleared and the team finished getting changed Barbs came over and smacked him on the shoulder.
"Hanging in there Rants?" He smiled at the finn.
"Oh yeah, just a little out of it." He head was a bit fuzzy still but getting clearer and more painful by the minute.
"Nice. They must have given you the good stuff!" Barbs nudged him again and mikko felt more at ease. He could do this. The playful chirping of teammates. He didn't have to think about his face. The light hearted fun continued. Until his name brought his full attention back.
"Huh?" He blinked.
"I said I would help you get back into the single life!" Barbs laughed and a few other joined him. A sudden unease took over mikko.
"What do you mean?" He questioned. The unease growing.
"This." mark poked his own cheek and nodded at mikko. "Gonna be single by morning!"
Mikko stayed silent and just stared. He felt like he couldn't breathe. The guys seemed to see that this particular chrip hit a sensitive spot.
"Fuck barbs! Shut up." Gabe hissed. Mikko zoned out and found himself trapped in his mind. It was a horrible injury to his face. He wouldn't look the same after this. He would be scarred. His mind was reeling and he didn't remember when he got back to the hotel. Only that he made it back. He was in mild pain now the medication wearing off. He hoped he could get to sleep before he could feel all of it. He changed his clothes in a daze and climbed into bed. He stared at the ceiling trying to get to sleep but he couldn't. He just kept thinking about you.
How you would smile at him and kiss his face. How you would grab his cheeks and nuzzle into him calling him beautiful and handsome. His chest felt constricted and he threw the covers off of himself. He laid there as thoughs of you circled his mind. Your words that he so loved to hear now haunting him. You wouldn't think he was beautiful anymore. You wouldn't look fondly at him and caress his face. Would you cry when you saw him? Would you be angry at him for ruining his appearance? What would he do with out you? He heard his phone vibrate he looked over. You were calling him. He moved his eyes back to the ceiling. It stopped and a few minutes later he heard the message notification sound. He ignored it. He couldn't bring himself to see what you had to say.
An uneasey sleep came over him only an hour and a half before he was suppose to get up. He packed quietly and jumped when someone knocked on his door. He opened it to find his coach and a medic. They wanted to check on him.
He was sat down as the doctor went over how to clean and bandage it again. He handed him a bag of perscription pain killers and extra bandages. Coach had a hand on his shoulder. At the end of it he was told he would have to sit out for at least a week and then they would look at how the healing was doing and if everything was good he could go back to playing with a face cage until it was fully healed. Coach gave him some pats on the back and told him to take two or three days after they got back to rest. Take it easy.
He packed silently and watched his hands tremble. You wouldn't leave his mind. Your soft skin and gentle touch. Your laugh and your smiles. How he could always tell how you were feeling because your eyes showed everything. What would they show now? Disgust?
He loaded into the bus. Some of the guys came over to him but he pointed at his cheek and shook his head. The bus arrived at the airport and everyone loaded into the plane. Taking their seat. He put himself buy a window toward the back. Gabe and Nikita sat by him. About 30 minutes in Nikita gently nudged him.
"What barbs said. It was joke you know. He did not mean it." He spoke softly to Mikko. Gabed turned towards them.
"He's right Mikko. You know (Y/N) would never do something like that." Gabe reassured. Mikko closed his eyes and turned his head away from the window and looked at his two friends.
"Tell me the truth. If you were in my place, if this was your faces not mine, would your wives leave?" Mikko asked. His heart beating in his ears he needed the answer.
Nikita and Gabes eyes widened. Z looked down at his hands not saying a word. Gabe opened and closed his mouth trying to think of something to say. Mikko turned back to the window and felt tears stinging his eyes. Yes, they would. They wanted handsome pretty husbands and a scar like the one this will leave will not be pretty. The rest of the flight was silent between them.
Mikko couldn't help but think of the way (Y/N) normally greeted him when he got off the plane. She always tried her best to be there. She always would grab his face, kiss him and give him a tight warm hug. She would tell him that she loved him and promise a delicous home cooked meal. Would it be the same? Would she even be able to look at him?
The plane landed and he dragged himself off of it. They approached where the WAGS would normally wait, but he couldn't look up. He was so afraid that if he did, you wouldn't be there.
He felt a nudge and looked to Nate who nodded his head forward. Mikko looked up and there you were. You were smiling but it was different from normal.
Mikko walked up to you and almost had to hold back tears as you embraced him. It felt just as tight and warm as it always did he felt one hand so very softly touch his uninjured cheek.
"Lets go home okay?" He couldn't look you in the eye. He walked silently by your side and held your hand loosely. There was no kiss. No usual excitement. He felt his world becoming smaller. Maybe if he asked nicely you would let him hold you one last time before you left him forever.
The car ride was quite on his part. Your gentle voice talking softly about little things that had happened in his week away. He couldn't muster up the courage to say anything to you. Afraid it would be the last thing he would ever say to you.
You pulled into his spot at his apartment and attempted to help with his bags But Mikko carefully took them from your hands and carried them himself. The two of you went up to his place. He put his bags on his bed and started to unpack. You came up beside him and started to help. He wanted to object but couldn't. Time passed and soon everything was unpacked and the two of you were sitting on the couch. (Y/N) kept a small one sided conversation going and Mikko mearly stared on.
"What would you like for dinner?" You asked, but Mikko said nothing.
"Mikko? Why won't you talk to me love?" She asked gently and her small, soft fingers gently brushed his uninjured cheek. Suddenly he couldn't help it anymore. It was too much. Why were you still being kind to him if you were going to leave him? He began to cry. He couldn't stop it. Instantly you were there. Holding him and comforting him with kind hands and words. He almost let himself relax into your warm body. But he couldn't. It was too painful.
He stood up abruptly and stared down into shocked concered eyes.
"Just do it already! Stop playing with me and do it!" He tried to sound stern but he just sounded broken.
"What are you talking about? Do what?" You asked and went to reach for him. Mikko stepped back out of your reach.
"End it. End it like you want to. I know you do. Just leave me already and stop making it hurt!" Mikko practically shouted. You stared at him with wide hurt eyes.
"Leave you? Why would I do that?" You asked your voice shaking. Mikko couldn't look at you.
"This," he pointed to his bandage, "my face will be different and ruined. I know you want to leave me. Just do it." He ended quietly and weakly.
"Do you honestly think I'm that shallow?" He could hear the pain in your voice. He just shrugged. "Mikko Rantanen you will look at me right now!" You snapped. Mikkos head shot up he eyes locking with yours. He saw pain and anger in those eyes.
"You listen to me right now. I love you. I have loved you since I met you. Not because of your face, but because of you. How you treat me and talk to me. How you make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world when I know I'm not. I would never leave you because of an injury! For fucks sake you are a hockey player! Injuries and hockey go hand in hand!" You yelled and got closer to him. "I knew what I signed up for when I started dating you. I'm in it for the long haul and I won't be leaving just because of a scar!" You jabbed him in the chest with your finger and crossed your arms. You deflated a little the anger subsiding and hurt remained.
"Do you really think so little of me Mikko?" You barely whispered out your arms dropping to your sides. Mikko couldn't take it. Your pain and saddness. His doing. He moved suddenly and wrapped you in his arms the good side of his face against the top of your head.
"No. No I don't. I promise. I love you. You are the best woman in the world. The kindest and most wonderful and beautiful. I was just scared. The boys said - " mikko rushed out. You had relaxed against him but the quickly pushed away and look up to him with anger in your eyes.
"What did the boys say?" You ground out. Mikko explained Barbs chirp and Gabe and Z's silence on the plane. Suddenly you weren't in his arms but pacing the living room as he watched on fondly.
"Those stupid little- UGH! Let me tell you if their wives ever find out about that they will be pissed. Fuck! They will give them some scars to worry about. Those absolute idiots! And I'm going to kill barbs. Those kind of jokes aren't funny. I'm gonna kick his ass! I'm going to practice tomorrow and im gonna beat him with his hockey stick!" You ranted on furiously. Mikko just laughed and came up and wrapped his arms around you.
"Please don't kill anyone. I'm very sorry my love. I am very very sorry." You again relaxed in his arms and nuzzled into his chest." I got worried and to into my head and then you didn't kiss me and-"
"Kiss you? Mikko I didn't want to hurt you! Your mouth was injured too not just your cheek!" You laughed at him in exasperation. Mikko blinked down at you.
"Oh."
"Yeah, 'oh.'" You rolled your eyes, and leaned Into him, "I love you mikko and I won't stop." You pressed your face into his chest and his grip tightened.
"I love you too" he swore to himself not to doubt you again. And felt secure in his knowledge that you loved him.
"I am gonna get barberio back though." She warned. He chuckled and press a very soft kiss to her head.
"I know."

Your Heart’s Desire
a very late submission to tmntflashfic‘s valentine’s day prompt thing, since it got insanely long, and has to be broken up into parts.

Chapter Five.
Casey slammed his bag down on the table, and slumped into his seat. His fellow arts student, directly across from him, raised her eyebrow.
“What crawled up your sorry ass and died?” She asked, eyes skimming over the dark circles under his eyes, and the scratches on his arms. “Or better question, what attacked your sorry ass?”
“I went from having one demon, to two demons, to three demons, all of them pissy little assholes-” Casey counted on his fingers quickly. “-in under, like, a week or two or some shit. I don’t even know anymore. Jesus.”
“You got another cat? Cats? Two new cats, plus the first one. Yikes.”
“Yeah. Sure. My cats.”
“Three cats is a lot of cats, Casey. Even for a currently single art student.”
Casey dug out his energy drink, cracked it open, and took a sip before answering. “You’re telling me.”
“So what happened to you last night? The cuts and shit. Your cats turn on you or something?”
“Or something.” Casey grumbled, nursing his drink. Caffeine. Sweet, sweet caffeine. “Two of them got chased off by the other one, and then showed up again in the middle of the night- not even after four AM, god- and proceeded to continue their piss fit in the middle of my living room, trash my kitchen and couch in the process, and bring my neighbor’s wrath down on all of us. Again.”
Two extraordinarily angry demons dropping out of thin air- right onto another demon, who’d finally gone to sleep maybe an hour ago- in the middle of the night hadn’t been fun. Casey had woken up to the loudest racket he’d heard in… probably a few hours. Maybe.
There’d been fire involved. There’d been purple electricity involved. And just for shits and giggles- knowing Mikey- there’d been balls of pure energy launched into the fray that left chunks missing from whatever they hit.
And then April had kicked down his door, broom and water gun in hand, and everything went straight to metaphorical hell.
Not literal hell, thank god, but they certainly were heading that direction for a while there.
Donnie had tried to kill Casey at least twice more. Maybe Mikey too. That being- Mikey maybe trying to kill Casey, and Donnie maybe trying to kill Mikey. At the same time. Casey hadn’t been able to tell for sure if Mikey actually tried to kill him or not, but he had a very deep suspicion of that one stray plasma shot.
April was the only reason anyone actually went to bed afterwards. Casey now had three new words to live by: Witches Kill Bitches. Yikes.
Casey took another long sip of his drink.
He’d gotten electrocuted, beaten, and just a tiny bit burned. Fun night. Maybe one of the wildest he’d had in a while.
Whoop-dee-fucking-doo.
“Why don’t you just give two of the cats back? The first one sounded chill enough without the others.”
Casey laughed dryly. “Oh I wish. I really fucking wish.”
If April couldn’t chase the other two off- and damn if she hadn’t tried- then no one could.
Casey’s classmate shook her head sympathetically and despairingly. “Casey, I do not envy your life, nor do I understand it.”
Casey slumped over the table, balancing his already empty drink in his hand. “You and me both. God.”

Good grief. None of us are ever getting a full night’s rest ever again.
I’m getting my gun, Casey. I’ll be there right away.
I just need pants first.
In the end, Casey didn’t ask Raph about the soul thing. He was, in a word that he was never ever going to repeat to anyone, too chicken-shit to do it.
If Raph’s reply was “Yup. When we complete the contract and I take your soul- you die. Tough.” then Casey wasn’t sure how he’d handle that. Better to just avoid the whole awkward “will you kill me or not” conversation for now.
And besides, he didn’t really want to bring up the whole ‘ending the contract’ thing. If he did, that meant they’d have to start working on it again, and Casey… didn’t really want it to end. Not just yet.
He focused instead on surviving the transition into having Donnie as a member of their crowded household, and not dying in the process.
The lanky demon, dark as Raph but with way more hair and way less muscle, was a complete know-it-all. He took every chance he had to lord over Casey the fact that he was just some ‘ignorant human’, Donnie’s words not Casey’s.
He also took every chance he had to hint very unsubtly that Casey didn’t deserve Raph’s presence in his home, and Casey tried not to read deeper into that beyond speciest tendencies Donnie seemed to have.
Mostly though, as long as Donnie was preoccupied by the thick textbooks he kept getting from somewhere, or by Mikey or Raph, he didn’t give Casey much attention at all. Just lounged around Casey’s apartment building, and made snide comments at everyone.
It wasn’t intolerable, seeing as Donnie had gotten over his ‘murder the human’ phase pretty quick. Still annoying for Casey though, trying to make it through his own apartment, only to have a long tail trip him up, or a large wing snap out in his face. Casey retaliated with holy water mixed into Donnie’s food portions, smacking the demon’s protruding appendages with his hockey sticks, and sicking Raph on his brother when all else failed.
Or April, but watching the two of them stare one another down, broom and magic in hand, was a bit hard on Casey’s heart, so. Not so much that option. He liked his apartment intact, thank you.
So basically, Casey snapped at Donnie and Donnie snapped at him and they both threatened violence until someone pushed them apart. No blood was shed- no more than what was usual lately- and they somehow found a balance of mutual dislike.
In the end, neither of them liked one another, but Donnie had been very clear he wasn’t leaving until Raph did, and Casey had been very clear that he either shove it or shove off.
But no one was dead yet, so. Kudos to both of them.
Now Casey was dealing with a new problem, created another time over with the newest addition to his already too cramped home: feeding them all.
“Why do you guys have to eat so fucking much?” Casey grumbled, shoving the heavy grocery cart along. “God. This is more than I eat in a month.”
“I need power, because you’re a moron who can’t even remember why he summoned me,” Raph answered as he tossed yet another package of food into the cart. “And because Don and Mike are little shits who like to be as annoying as they can.”
“Yeah, I kinda figured that out,” Casey said sulkily. Accommodating three demons at once was a major hassle, especially when one was liable to set the neighborhood on fire for a laugh, and the other was still in the middle of a silent pissing contest with his neighboring witch. Oh the trials of adulthood. Casey felt like he deserved a vacation.
If it wasn’t for the insane load of cash Donnie had magicked up, Casey knew he would’ve hit broke by now. From where the cash had come from, Donnie wouldn’t say, but looking at all the zeroes in his account, Casey hadn’t felt like questioning its origins.
He had however, questioned why he wasn’t paying some price for the generous donation. Donnie had replied vaguely that his due was being covered by Raph, and then promptly fucked off into the open air; lifting off the ground with sweeps of his wings, and leaving Casey outside the supermarket without a real explanation.
Fucking demons.
Upside of things, Casey had gotten to send his dad and sister a good chunk of cash, and he didn’t have to worry about student loans anymore. Downside, his dad had texted to check if Casey had switched career choices to become a hitman and his sister had texted with the question if escort prices had suddenly gone up.
No faith from his family, honestly. Couldn’t he make money in a legal manner? Casey could totally make that much money if he tried.
Raph came back to the cart with an armful of hotdog and hamburger buns, and dumped them into the already very full cart.
“For the meat,” Raph explained shortly to Casey’s questioning look.
“What meat?” Casey asked.
Before Raph could answer, a shopping cart went racing past their aisle, and Casey caught a glimpse of Mikey riding it and what looked like majority of the raw meat section stacked in with him.
“That meat,” Raph said, pointing after his brother, and Casey could hear semi-maniacal laughter coming from that direction.
Casey sighed, and started to push their cart towards the direction Mikey had gone. “Guess we’re having a barbeque tonight, since no way this is all fitting in the fridge.”
Something crashed on the other side of the store, and Casey started pushing their cart a bit faster.
After they’d wrangled Mikey, magicked away the witnesses memory of the demon’s full-tilt crash into the flower stand, repaired said flower stand, and Donnie had at some point reappeared mysteriously out of thin air to snark at everyone- Casey managed to herd the three demons towards the check out with their purchases.
Again, he got his usual cashier, and the man gave Casey another look for his newest addition to their gaggle. Donnie admittedly stood out even more than Mikey did, in looks at least, being well over six feet. Mikey still had him beat in aura of crazy though.
In comparison to his siblings, one twitching constantly and the other giving everything a calculative and condescending look, Raph was practically normal seeming. Slightly below average height, and just a tinge of surliness to him.
And then Raph hiccupped a smoke ring, and the image was ruined.
Casey paid for their food, and didn’t give the cashier any explanation for his friend group.
Since Casey didn’t technically have a barbecue for barbecue, and neither did April, the task of cooking the meat got passed over to the walking fire pit. They also ended up relocating to the roof, after Raph set Casey’s ceiling on fire.
A pleasantly warm evening wind blew over the roof top, wafting the smell of cooking meat towards Casey. He glanced up to look at the other roof top occupants.
April had brought one of her folding chairs up with her, and was reading a book near her garden. The position was only semi-protective seeming, and everyone was giving her garden a wide birth.
Mikey was busy playing with a cat that’d appeared out of nowhere, despite Casey’s apartment building being pet free. Casey had started to question the cat earlier, but then he’d seen it had deep, bottomless black eyes, and had figured he’d leave well enough alone. At least it seemed more interested in rolling around on the roof with Mikey, rather than causing extra property damage like all the other demons in Casey’s life.
Donnie was the opposite of Mikey, completely lax and silent. He was laid out on a blanket that he’d probably stolen from Casey’s linen closet. Wings out and tail twitching, Donnie seemed intent on catching the last rays of the sun before it went down, slowly paging through yet another thick book he’d pulled out of nowhere. Eventually, he and April were probably going to bond like the condescending smarty-pants assholes they both were, and then everyone else was probably going to die.
Raph was rotating a couple dozen meat products in the air, flames licking around them in helix spirals. It smelt great, and Raph’s intent focus on keeping the food from burning gave Casey the chance to side-eye him a bit.
Admittedly, Casey might’ve been side-eyeing all the demon brothers, because shit- it wasn’t like they weren’t all relatively to very good looking. Even Mikey wasn’t exactly hard on the eyes, as unlikely as it was for Casey to ever risk going for him. Because he liked his extremities intact and not bitten off, and he totally still caught Mikey eyeing him like food sometimes.
Point being- Casey had a lot of very attractive men staying in his apartment at the moment, and wow was he very gay.
He tried to remind himself that A) two out of the three would probably kill him if they got the chance, and B) his focus was on Raph, as impossible to obtain as the demon likely was, and that he shouldn’t get distracted by the demon’s siblings.
And besides, he liked Raph the best anyways. Better personality, even if no one else would probably think that except for Casey.
Casey refocused on the sketchpad in his hands, and did his best to reroute his wandering thoughts. No gay thoughts for him, no siree. Not while he was in the presence of others.
He was in the middle of yet another sketch of a full demon form- this time Donnie’s, because the long swooping tail and wings were fun to draw. He was still trying to get the proper look down, since at the moment it looked too much like a regular dragon, and not a demon.
“Hey Raph,” Casey said, glancing up from his drawing again. “Quick question. How come you all look like dragons? Not very demony.”
“Because that’s what fits this era best,” Raph replied. Which made no sense.
“Elaborate a little more than that?”
Raph gave him a look, but answered anyways. “Our manifesting shapes change depending on the plain of existence we enter, and also with whatever the sentient population will fear best. In this era, it’s apparently big scaly lizards with wings. I’m not complaining, since it’s better than some we’ve gotten.”
“Dragons are cool shit though,” Casey said, twirling his pencil as he watched the meat in the air do the same. “They’re everywhere in media. Not exactly the boogieman.”
“Worked well enough on you,” Raph said, giving Casey a teasing smirk.
Casey scoffed. “Man, whatever. It was morning and I was hung over. ‘scuse me for not being able to keep my cool with a fucking demon in my house.”
Raph gave a warm laugh, and Casey found himself smiling just a tad wider than he usually would.
“Okay, I got another question then,” Casey said, leaning forwards on his crossed legs. “Which one of your ‘manifestations’ has been your favorite? You gotta have one, seein’ as you’re old as shit now.”
“Shut up, I’m young by demon standards,” Raph said, rolling his eyes. “And if you really wanna know, one of them was one I had just a couple hundred years ago. Not on this plain of existence, but it wasn’t too far off in similarity.”
“Yeah? What was it?”
“A turtle,” Raph said, and Casey couldn’t help the startled laugh that came out of him.
“What? No way. How is a turtle scary?” Casey asked in disbelieving amusement. “They’re like- tiny and cute and shit. Slow too.”
Raph shrugged, twirling his wrist so all the meat in the air would too. “I’d show you, but since I’m busy… hey Donnie!”
“What?” Donnie said in a tone that Casey recognized easily from his own sibling.
“Get over here; I want you to show Casey what the turtle manifestation looked like.”
“Ugh, no way. I’m busy right now,” Donnie said, giving them both a grumpy look.
Raph twirled a couple hotdogs threateningly towards Donnie. “Do it, or I use your horns as extra roasting sticks.”
“Raph- come on, don’t be a dick.”
“Don’t be a lazy shit.”
“Raph.”
“Donnie.”
“Fine,” Donnie grumbled, getting up if only because the hotdogs had been getting dangerously close to his seven inch horns.
Casey stood up too, officially and extremely intrigued about what would happen next. He wasn’t alone in that either, since April had set down her book to watch the rest of them, and Mikey and his weird cat had gone still.
Donnie steepled his fingers together, and closed his eyes. For a moment, nothing happened, but then a rune circle appeared under his feet. From the bright purple magic, a wall of water swirled up and around Donnie. The height of the airborne whirlpool grew, and Casey could see that something inside was growing with it.
Then, the water’s surface broke at the bottom, and receded upwards to reveal-
-a giant bipedal turtle.
Casey let out a shocked laugh, and couldn’t believe his eyes.
Donnie had gone from six something to twelve something, now with the addition of a shell, plastron, and dark green scales. A long staff was strapped to his back, held in place by royal purple sashes wrapped around Donnie’s chest and shell. The water receded to pool in the air above Donnie’s head, and it condescend into a sort of reflective disk. Casey mentally compared it to the halos he’d seen on angels in church murals.
Donnie reopened his eyes, which had remained luminous red through the transformation, and looked down Casey with a displeased look. Somehow, even with a beak like mouth, he managed to sneer at Casey.
“Ta da,” Donnie said, giving a half-assed jazz hands. “One turtle reporting for duty. Can I change back now? This itches.”
Casey noted that instead of discordant and harsh, the demon’s words were actually close to lyrical sounding in this form.
“Why’s it itch?” Casey asked, secretly hoping to prolong things so he could memorize the finer details of this form. Shit, this would look amazing in watercolors.
“Because it’s not the right one for this world,” Donnie said in a deeply annoyed tone. “It’s wrong and it feels a bit like wearing a winter coat in summer, I guess.”
“Oh. Neat.” Casey replied vaguely, still busy memorizing.
“You know,” April spoke up. “I wonder if anyone can see the shit you guys do on this roof. I don’t know about you, but it would be weird to see a giant bipedal turtle on my roof if I didn’t know better.”
“I have spells that erase memories of events like this,” Donnie replied smoothly, with only a hint of ‘duh’ in his tone.
“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure Raph doesn’t, because yesterday a guy at the coffee shop down the way said he saw a really weird ass bird in the sky. About the size of a mini-van? Pointy horns too.”
Everyone looked at Raph, who looked a little embarrassed.
“Raph.” Donnie said in a disapproving tone.
“Sometimes I forget to turn them on, okay?” Raph defended.
“I can’t believe you.”
“Shut up! Do you want dinner or not?”
“I do! We do!” Mikey interjected, waving his cat around in the air like something out of the Lion King. The cat made a long warbling meow, and Casey’s felt goosebumps prickle on his skin.
While the others were distracted, he took the chance to pick up his sketchbook and start a rapid gesture drawing of Donnie. Maybe later, he could get Raph do switch forms too, and draw him as well.
So while Casey hurriedly drew, Donnie got pelted by hotdogs as he kept berating Raph for his carelessness, said hotdogs quickly snatched out of the air by Mikey and his cat and devoured, and April calmly watched the whole show from over the top of her novel.
All in all, a pretty normal evening for them lately.
Casey was about done with being assaulted by demons.
Example: being stalked on the way home from campus, and feeling increasingly evil vibes being aimed at the back of his head.
The first afternoon in days that didn`t involve one or more of his mostly unwanted house guests tagging along- and this happens.
Casey risked a glance over his shoulder.
The man, concealed by his loose black hoodie and blue ball cap, was still following him. He seemed normal enough from first glance, no tail or horns or anything in plain sight, but Casey also knew better by now than to be fooled by that.
Casey thought he saw a flash of icy blue eyes from under the hat brim, and he whipped his eyes back to the sidewalk in front of him.
He was at least a half hour’s walk from his apartment still, and the bus wouldn’t save him now.
Why didn’t demons have cell phones? Raph could probably destroy a small city on his lonesome, but he didn’t have a god damn cell phone.
Casey tugged out his phone, trying to casually speed up his walking as he did.

A cold shudder went through Casey, and he knew the guy following him had gotten closer again. On and off as he’d been walking the last five minutes, every time Casey looked back, the guy got closer.
Fear sweat prickled the back of his neck, and Casey swallowed.
He didn’t have a handy bat or hockey stick, and he didn’t have a demon protecting him either. Unless someone got here quickly, he was probably going to end up demon food.
Pretty sick way to go, all things considering, but he’d rather not die on this particular day.
“Respond,” Casey muttered. “Please, god- April, respond already.”
Casey felt a rush of air go past him, and it felt way too fucking cold for this time of year. Something not actually there tried to climb up his spine, and Casey shuddered all the way down to his soul.
He typed an all caps message of ‘HOLY FUCK APRIL IM SERIOUS PLS RESPOND RN’ and started walking even faster.
Wow this was not how he wanted to die right now. Maybe later, maybe a few years down the line, but not right fucking now.
His phone chimed, and Casey gasped out a choked laugh.
Raph’s on his way. ETA should be less than a minute.
Why can’t our lives be normal anymore.

What else is new?
Casey would have replied again, but a violent shudder went through him as an ice cold feeling gripped his body. He didn’t want to turn around, really, he didn’t- but he did anyways.
Raph’s brother- probably the elusive Leo- stared Casey dead in the eye, from just a block away. Navy blue eyes froze Casey to his core, and he felt like he was suddenly breathing sub-zero air.
Leo opened his mouth, and something reverberated through the air. The other humans walking down the street around Casey stumbled, and Casey’s knees came close to buckling. He only barely recovered enough to keep standing.
Welp. Time to start running.
Casey bolted fast as he could, and he cursed Raph for bringing this kind of insanity into his life.
Casey might’ve been slacking on his exercise lately- too much demonic influence in his life to even remember- but he could still sprint like the wind. He’d never quite grown out of the skinniness from his teenage years, and he counted his blessing that he hadn’t packed on muscle like he’d hoped he would. Wind whistled past him as he ran, and Casey felt caught between sheer terror and utter excitement.
Nothing like running for your life to kick the old adrenaline into gear.
Casey risked a partial glance over his shoulder, and regretted it as caught sight of Leo still hot on his tail. The demon wasn’t even running, he was just walking- and yet, he was still only a block behind Casey.
Fucking demons. Fucking demon magic. Fucking life.
Casey pushed himself to run faster, and prayed he wouldn’t land on his knee wrong and wipe out. He’d be screwed if he did.
He yelped as the sidewalk ahead of him was suddenly coated in ice, and he had to stop short before he hit it. Casey turned to the left, and darted across the street. A lone car honked at him as he ran, and for a second, the accident that’d fucked his knee over flashed across his eyes.
Then it was gone, and his feet hit the sidewalk across the street. He kept running, lungs heaving as he attempted to give Raph time to show the fuck up and save his ass.
Casey had to change directions again though, as the sidewalk again was covered in ice. This time with jagged points aimed directly at Casey, ones that would impale him clear through if he fell on them.
Casey dodged away from them, and found himself in an alley. An alley with a dead end.
Shit. Clichés. He hated clichés.
Casey whirled to run back out, and found Leo blocking the way. Casey retreated further into the alley, and raised his hands to the calmly advancing demon.
“Okay, so, I dunno if the other two have told you this yet-” Casey swallowed, trying for bravado instead of nervousness. “-but I’m officially off the menu. Just ask Raph, he’ll vouch for me.”
Leo didn’t pay his words any mind, and the air around Casey suddenly went freezing. With a wave of his hand, encircled by blue runes, Leo sent the alley into the deep freeze.
Casey’s airways went dry from the sudden drop, and he glanced around in panic. The walls of the alley were quickly being covered in ice, sharp points growing from both sides like jagged teeth. Casey’s shoes skidded momentarily, as the ice spread across the ground as well.
“I’m serious, Leo,” Casey said, trying to get the demon’s attention by saying his name. “Raph and me are cool. So if you could, like, be a little less literal with the chill, he’ll be here any second now to explain the shit that’s been going on-”
Leo remained quiet, but shut Casey up with a harsh gust of ice wind. Casey inhaled sharply, and coughed at the sheer coldness. It spread through him, and he coughed harder as he struggled to breathe.
Then-
He realized he couldn’t move his feet.
Casey made the mistake of glancing down, and saw that his feet were encased in ice. Ice that was steadily climbing up his legs, and locking him in place.
The dark ice moved quickly, spreading up Casey’s body almost faster than he could register what was happening. It covered his legs, and then spread to his torso, and Casey couldn’t breathe, ice filling his lungs and chilling him through.
His eyes clouded with tears, as ice wind kept whipping around him. He was half blind, more than half frozen, and came to the conclusion he probably was going to die.
He managed one last cough, before the ice spread to his neck, and froze his lungs in place. He felt the ice spreading down his arms, and Casey couldn’t think it was so cold. Everything was burning, the freezing prison wrapping itself around every piece of his body.
Casey felt the ice creep onto his face, his vision blurring as it did, and he couldn’t fight it at all.
The ice covered his nose, and spread over his eyes and head, and then Casey was trapped in the dark. His eyes frozen shut and his lungs frozen in place.
Then-
Something flared, hot and burning, on his chest-
And the ice shattered around his face, around his chest, and Casey could breathe again.
He blinked rapidly, sucking in as much air as he could, and tried to clear the clinging ice crystals to his face. Everything hurt, his hands and feet and legs and every bit of skin on him- they felt like they were still encased in ice. Cold enough that the warmer air was making them burn.
Casey saw something red flicker on his chest again, but he couldn’t see well enough to recognize what it was.
He spotted Leo, who’s calm, blank expression had broken. He was staring at Casey in shock, visibly confused as to why Casey wasn’t a human popsicle.
Then Raph fell out of the sky, right onto Leo, and threw his brother across the alleyway. Casey managed a short laugh at the sudden shift in mood, Leo looking utterly confused and offended by the turn of events, and Raph looking like he wanted to set everything and Leo on fire, the both of them yelling at one another in increasing volumes-
And then Casey’s vision went black, and he felt himself hit the ground.

Chapter One; Fire, Fire
She shot up, sweat covering her cold body and blinding sunlight made her head spin. Another nightmare, another dream that felt so real that she could still feel his skin under her fingertips.
Reality hit her, she was home, not the home she remembered and longed for but the one she rebuilt with her hands. Her eyes glanced over the patch work tin walls, a hodge podge of repair to an abandoned shed that still had some ceiling left. To make the cement floor more welcoming and warm she had scrubbed and stitched an old rug back to its original shape though it still had questionable stains from years of who knows what yet it was cleaner than the mattress she slept on.
Her back ached from its broken springs and her shoulder itched from the make shift blanket she used, certain there would be a rash if she dared to look. But her neck was stiff, her lower back and arms sore from the days previous work of cutting down trees and dragging the wood into piles to cut and split for fires.
Already her head hurt from thinking about her long lists of to dos.
“Morning General.” The kind voice startled her out if her thoughts. Preston smiled down at her from the door way, shamefully she kicked the empty bottles away from her sleeping place to try and hide evidence she needed alcohol to knock her out. But he never noticed and if he did he kept quiet about it.
“Mornin’ kid. You are up bright and early” Kate groaned quietly, pushing her knotted hair out of her face before looking up at the man waiting patiently for her to wake up. “To what do I owe this pleasure?” She finally grinned playfully. “Its not every day I get a visitor to my shed.”
“Well…” He started, shifting slightly already knowing how she would react to the first half what news he was bringing. First it’d be annoyance, then a small lecture followed by her gearing herself up to be on her way but the second half he still wasn’t sure how to gauge. “Another-“
“Settlement needs our help.” Kate finished for him, her tone relaxed as she lit a stale cigarette. “As always, and so early in the morning too? What is it this time? Raiders probably. It’s always fucking raiders. You would think-“
“They would know how to protect themselves.” This time he finished her sentence, the lecture was always the same. “But it never hurts to help.” Kate raised a slender eyebrow, the one that was cut through by an old scar.
“Cheap coming from you, I’m the one who takes the most hits.” She smirked. “But fine, I’ll check it out.” Kate stood up, strapping the pipboy to her wrist before opening the top draw of the cluttered desk shoved in the opposite corner of the room. “There is something else, isn’t there?” She asked as she loaded her favorite pistol, shoving boxes of ammo in the pocket of her loose pants.
“The Brotherhood are looking for you…” Kate strapped her combat knife to her shin ignoring Prestons bitter tone, waiting for him to continue the passed on message but instead he kept silent.
“Ok. I’ll check in the station before-“
“They can’t be trusted, why are you running around with them?” Preston asked sounding almost betrayed.
Kate couldn’t help but laugh to herself from a mixture of disbelief of the sudden outburst or the strange immaturity coming from the composed man.
“Preston, I gotta help.” She sighed finally, butting out the remains of her cigarette. “If I can help them, they could help me. Help me find my son.” She explained.
“We are trying to help you. The Minute Men, Sturges and Mumma Murphy and me...”
“But that’s not enough. Sure Murphy told me to start in Diamond City but that was when she was out of her mind on Jet and to be fair that’s not exactly a sturdy or reliable lead to take!” Kate suddenly slammed her fist onto the desk, the sound making him jump.
“I haven’t explained my situation to them… But they can help me, all they need is that I help them.” Kate explained quietly trying to stay calm. Preston stayed silent, watching her continue to pack her bag with supplies with her head down and her black hair in her face.
Stubborn. The key word to describe her. Since they met she was set in her ways and it took a lot of energy to try to convince her to change them, but she followed her heart and bends over backwards to help anyone in need, and that’s what kept him around. To help her not lose that in the new world she was forced into.
Cambridge Police Station was quiet, the inhabitants working silently to get the place organized for the arrival their fellow soldiers, it was always business until Kate came along bringing the noise with her.
Heylen heard her first, it was always the radio giving them warning of her arrival, playing the few songs over and over again. Next was Kates voice, either talking loudly to whoever was keeping her company or singing along to what song was playing. Today she was chatting.
The scribe glanced to Rhys, his face already twisted with annoyance anticipating her arrival. Haylen on the other hand was excited, she craved for another person to talk to, someone who wasn’t all work and no play and Kate had fit that.
The entrance doors swung open, Dogmeat running inside excited almost tripping on the stairs.
“Hey! Careful!” Haylen shouted out trying to stifle her laughter. The german shepard then turned his attention to her, running towards her almost taking her out. He jumped on her, pawing at her chest panting excitedly as he received scratches behind his ears.
“Dogmeat! Settle boy, Haylen doesn’t want your disgusting mole rat breath on her.” Kate teased, setting her duffle bag on the reception counter before sitting on it. The dog leapt off the woman and scampered towards his owner, sitting at her feet on guard while Kate rummaged through the bag, taking out a cigarette and a small object wrapped in a oil stained cloth. Before Haylen could greet her friend the woman tossed the package over to her.
Haylen caught it easily and started to unwrap the surprise present.
“Kate! Where did you-“
“Up north. Found an old research facility and went digging around for a few things to use to set up power in my shed when I came across the transistor. Hopefully you can use it in case your radio or something shits itself.” Kate explained with a shrug.
“But I’m not here to hand out presents. You were looking for me?” She asked though more directing it to Rhys, the Knight with his head down. He looked up at her with a grimace and stood up straight trying to intimidate her.
“What’s it this time, ghouls? Mutants?” Kate asked with a smile. Rhys though was having none of her attitude.
“Ghouls, military base a few clicks east. Think you can handle it, initiate?” His cold tone echoed through the room, Kate straightened her back and stared at him silently almost daring him to start something.
Haylen looked at the two, always testing each other’s boundaries and the worst part they knew each others weaknesses. When Kate first arrived on scene she was greeted with hostility, even though she saved their asses, so Haylen took it upon herself to attempt to gain the once strangers trust which surprisingly easy. All it took was a few nice words and Kate opened up happily. Sadly Rhys wouldn’t do the same. Haylen could feel that Kate would be a valuable asset to the group and he argued she would drag them down.
“Yeah easy. Heading that way anyway.” Kate answered.
“What for?” The missing part of the group asked. Kate turned her head as she heard him approach. For once he wasn’t in his protective shell and by the looks of the grease and oil stained on his uniform Kate assumed it needed repair.
“Raiders causing trouble. Though they are idiots for setting up in ghoul territory so here is hoping they have fixed my problems for me.” Kate grinned, but Danse only nodded.
“You might need assistance. Rhys keep posted until I come back.” He instructed, seemingly oblivious to the disbelief on the Knights face.
“Danse- I mean… Paladin, I think it’s best you stay here in case your radio signal has been answered.” Kate frowned at the sudden self invitation. She felt uncomfortable around the man, her sarcasm offended him, her jokes went over his head and he was too formal to have a steady conversation with, and if he did talk it was about the Brotherhood.
“Ghoul territory isn’t safe for anyone, armed or no. I will assist and assess you.” Danse explained before turning back into the depths of the station.
“Assist and assess? I think I’ve proven myself ten times over.” Kate groaned quietly once he was out of ear shot.
“What do you expect? We only accept the best in the Brotherhood. If you can’t handle the constant-“ Kate jumped down from her spot on the desk and rushed towards the Knight, grabbing the collar of his uniform and pulling him down to come eye to eye with her.
“Son, I have fought wars you have never heard about, I have served my country for over ten years in foreign lands. I have beaten the shit out of punks like you and killed people for taking that tone of voice with me. Now it is in your best interest to not. Fuck. With. Me.” She snarled. Rhys went to open his mouth, ready to bite back but was interrupted.
Haylen pushed herself in between the two. The tension filled the room, Dogmeats warning growls echoing as he crouched low beside his owner, ready to attack if given the signal.
“You need to stop.” Haylen scorned, holding Kate’s shoulders and pushing her back trying to defuse the fight before their egos made the situation worse.
“Yeah. Chill out. Im going. Tell tin can man Im out front.” Kate sighed after a brief silence.
The road felt like it was crackling from the heat, slick patches of melted tar made rainbow puddles on their path, any tree that would offer shade was leafless and useless, dead and crumbling. Rusted cars and skeletons watched the trespassers as they silently walked, only the sound of Danse’s power suit moving and rattling of the contents of Kate’s bag was the only thing that proved life was still around.
Dogmeat was ahead of the two, sniffing the road or dead bushes, every few meters he would run back to the woman, checking she was still there before running off again. Every time he came back Kate would pat his head with a smile but every time he ran off the smile would disappear.
“I heard the altercation.” Danse broke the silence between them. He looked down to the woman, a crinkle in her forehead slowly appearing but she stayed silent. “Knight Rhys is just doing what he is assigned to do.” He added.
“There is a difference between being a commanding officer and being a flat out dick.” She answered quietly staring at the ground.
“He is passionate about our mission, dedicated to the Brotherhood. He wants to protect our ideals and make sure you are as committed as we are.” Kate looked up at the man, his noble dedication shining through again. It was admirable yet annoying, but most of all familiar bringing up nagging nostalgia she had to lock away.
“I’m not like you guys. One, I haven’t formally pledged myself to this Brotherhood. Two, I am dedicated, but how I show my dedication is different to you two sticks in the muds. Three, I saved your asses remember?”
“Sticks in the mud?”
“I wasn’t the one who got myself cornered by feral ghouls. Not even a week out of the vault and I came to your rescue. Lost a boot in that fight and I really liked those boots! Haylen promised me she would compensate me but I still haven’t gotten those boots. And those were good boots, I had them before the bombs, fit around my foot. Now I have to walk around with these shitty things that are too big and being held together by freaking duct tape.” Kate started to vent pointing to the shoes that were indeed wrapped in tape though had blue paint splashed on them. Danse sighed to himself as they kept walking.
“You need a uniform.” He pointed out noting her torn mechanic pants lazily stitched at the knees, a torn flannel over shirt tied around her bony hips since she was still adjusting to the heat, her tank top was torn to show her stomach and she wore no bra… Though he tried not to focus on her step.
“Its too hot to wear something like that. By the way, aren’t you over heating in that thing?” She asked noticing the sweat that dampened his head.
“The uniform is light, maneuverable and supportive. Importantly, protective.” He ignored the question, daring not to admit discomfort to the trainee.
“Supportive?!” Kate asked confused staring down at her chest.
“Pardon? No! That is not what I meant at all! Supportive for the body. I meant for bones and-“
“Shut up.” Kate stopped.
“For when carrying supplies on your back, relaxes-“
“I said shut up!” She hissed through her teeth grabbing his metal arm. Danse silenced himself, staring down at the woman curiously.
Kate pulled out her gun and pulled out the knife that was strapped to her leg, her gaze focused past a wall of cars into the town. He heard it, what had caught her attention. A rustling, like something scratching and shuffling along cement. Kate crouched low, letting out a quiet and quick whistle. Next came growling. Dogmeat warning something.
“Initiate….” Danse was silence by her hand in the air. He recognized the signal as stay put. He watched as she silently approached the wall of cars, her pistol in front of her as she turned the corner.
He waited, tightening his grip around his rifle, giving her 5 minutes before he followed. He counted in his head.
Kate followed the noise, turning the corner quickly to see the ghoul hissing at the dog. She aimed and fired.
The ghoul screeched as it turned slowly, facing its attacker. Kate took a step back readying to fire again, aiming for its head when Dogmeat jumped on it, tearing at it’s neck. Suddenly hands tightened around the back of her neck, she spun around quickly using the butt of her gun to smack the other ghoul, it stumbled and she shot twice, it falling to the ground unmoving. Moving quick she fired at the next one that fell from a broken window, desperate to get at her.
Another emerged from the car beside her, trying to crawl out from the windshield but it tumbled out and thudded on the ground. She walked over to it and stomped on it’s head, the cracking of bone under her foot sent a shiver down her spine. Dogmeat ran towards her, circling around her feet still growling, Kate looked up to see another, and another one…. Too many to stand and count. She fired once more, one dropping, and again but only took the arm off another one. They were closing in. She tried to take a step back, nearly falling over the dog at her feet. The car shifted, not daring to take her stare off from the crowd she prayed it was Danse and not some other monster, like the one that sliced her face when she helped Preston.
The echo of the laser rifle brought comfort as its fire dropped two more. Taking the chance she reloaded.
“There are too many to fend off by ourselves.” He shouted over the noise, grabbing Kate by the arm and pulling her on the roof of the car, Dogmeat jumping up too. There she saw more feral ghouls, one by one taking interest in who had trespasses but she could see the entrance to underground tunnels, clear of danger that she could see.
“I need to get to the subway station!” Kate yelled back.
“The commotion you just made I doubt we will be getting out of this alive if we press forward, we need to focus on a retreat. We are not surrounded so our best option is to leave while we can.” Danse scorned.
“You aren’t listening to me!” Kate hit the mans metal chest. He raised an eye brow at her as she swore to herself holding her knuckles in pain.
“If you could just stay here and be a distraction…” She suddenly smiled opening her bag, she took out more ammo and a hunting rifle before kicking the bag to Danse. “I can make a clear line to the station through that building there but I need you to make more noise to get everybody’s attention. I have mines, ammo, more guns if you need it.” She explained, pointing to the crumbling building at the end of the wall of cars that was probably a corner store back in the day. He could see the mass of ghouls around though, going in by herself would be suicide.
“I’ll take Dogmeat, send him back if I’m hurt or worse, or if I haven’t shown up in an hour I want you to retreat.” She nodded to herself, checking herself over and patting her pockets to check she had everything she needed.
“Initiate-“
“An hour remember that. Jesus Christ if you keep standing around doing nothing it’s going to take longer.” She grinned as she screwed a silencer nozzle onto her beloved pistol before jumping to the next car making a bee line for the building.
Danse struggled to keep in the annoyed groan as he watched her hop to another car.
The plan was working so far, Danse had shot at the crumbling wall of the store bringing out the ghouls giving her space to go through, though the danger of any hidden creatures was still present, all it took was a legless fiend to surprise her or another monster around the corner to just pick her up and destroy her.Kate made her way quietly through the store, it was small but it was unstable. Any gun fire that missed it’s target could bring the crumbling floor above her down.
Carefully she stepped over a pile of debris, her eyes constantly taking in her surroundings as she pushed through, ears straining over the gun fire outside to listen to any movement. When she reached the door on the other side of the room she stayed hidden.
“Do you see anything boy?” She looked down to the dog, opening the door slightly letting him out. A few seconds later he came back, tail wagging happily. She stepped out in the open.
She ran across the road to the entrance of the station and down its steps, realization hitting her how unprepared she was. An hour wasn’t enough time if these raiders had set their home deep in the tunnels and if they didn’t she was going in guns blazing with lord knows how many people in there. Or, they were dead, taken out by the ghouls who inhabited this once quaint town and she was walking into a nest.
Breathing in she went through the archway that welcomed travelers, though the sign was missing letters and covered in so much dirt and grime she couldn’t make out what the town used to be called.
Down the stairs and through the gates, she listened out. She could hear the echo of chatter, faint hope that her targets were closer than she expected. She followed the noise, careful of her own footing in case she tripped a trap, kicked a bottle, anything to alert that she was there.
The main area was abandoned and clear, a complete mess but clear of anyone or thing apart from a skeleton laying across the information desk. The automatons that would have helped, served and protect lay stripped of parts, their metal shells hollow and discarded among the rubbish.
She took the left tunnel, more stairs down, the voices getting louder.
“Saw a ghoul wondering about the entrance last night. We should probably pack up and move soon.” A man’s concerned voice echoed louder than the rest. His words were slurred either from drinking or drugs.
Kate stayed crouched behind the cement railing holding the dog close to her as she listened trying to determine how many were down the tunnels.
“We have a good set up here, no one comes near here.” Another slurred voice. Then silence.
Kate held her breath, worried they had somehow spotted or heard her. Maybe it was Dogmeat? He hadn’t had a bath in a while and was over heated so he was panting heavily.
“Someone is here.”
She froze.
“Is that gunfire?”
“Sure sounds like it. Get your stuff. We need to check it out.”
She readied her gun, waiting for the footsteps to come closer. She heard a set. Jumping out of cover she shot, not aiming.
The group of men froze, arms up in surprise before realizing the short woman was by herself.
“Little bird, shouldn’t be here.” One of the men grunted, smiling showing off his missing teeth.
“No one should be here. But here we are” Kate smiled back, gun pointing at him. “I’ll make this easy. I’m here for one thing only, if you give it back maybe I’ll let you four out of here mildly ok.” She threatened.
“Oh, she thinks she’s a tough little one. Well look here princess, like you said there is five of us, one of you. How you think you gonna take us down?” Another man laughed, he was drunk, she could tell by his sway and his slurred words. The one worried about the ghouls.
“I say we keep her. Need some caps.” His friend suggested.
“Ohhh. Good idea, heard there is a high ask for slaves, I wonder how much-“
Kate whistled, short and loud. Dogmeat leapt over the railing and onto the man with missing teeth, getting a hold of his arm tearing at the cloth and locking onto the flesh. Wasting no time she shot at two of the men, one dropping dead the other screaming in pain holding his stomach. Kate jumped back into cover as she was fired at, a bullet flying past her.
Dogmeat un-clenched his jaws from the strangers arm once they fell to the ground, now standing on his chest growling in his face.
“Boys stop!” The man cried out in fear, Dogmeat snapping his teeth in his face. The dog was kicked, he rolled to the ground before jumping back up and attacking the foot that threatened to hurt him again, blood spraying as he sunk his teeth into muscle tearing a chunk out of the enemies leg. His ears perked, the woman calling him back.
Dogmeat dropped the chunk of flesh at her boots, sitting wagging his tail oblivious to the gun fire. Kate smiled down at the bloody pooch and kissed the top of his head.
“Good boy. Now go get the tin can man.” She whispered to him before popping out of cover and firing her pistol again.
Danse wiped the sweat from his forehead as he looked over the corpses that lay before him. He had lost track of time, having small pleasure watching the twisted creatures drop at his gun fire, but there was no sign of the recruit. Until the dog scampered back to him sitting on the ground, tail wagging.
Stepping off the roof of the car Danse felt a worrying knot in his stomach seeing the lone dog, covered in blood. He sighed and started to turn back the way they came, back to the station to organize how to tell The Minutemen their general had fallen in battle and he knew Preston would blame him.The dog growled then, moving in Danse’s path standing straight and pointing his nose in the direction of the station. Kate had trained the animal well, point out enemies or items they were searching for.
His stare returned to the station, unsure if the dog wanted him to retrieve a body or….
An explosion, it shook the ground beneath his feet and fire erupted from the entrance of the tunnel. A figure running a head of it, fast.
Kate kept running ignoring the pain at the back of her neck, the intense heat licking at her back threatening to engulf her at any second. She could see the line of cars, Danse standing watching curiously.
She was out of the line of fire but her neck still felt hot, meltingly hot. When she could see the details of his face she dropped to the ground rolling to his feet, smacking the back of her head trying to pat out the last of the flames. Then she lay still, staring at her commanding officer who was in turn staring down at her. A mixture of horror and concern written all over him.
“Big bang.” Kate breathed, trying to distract herself at the swelling pain threatening to take over. “Grenades and fuel tanks don’t mix. How they were able to get trucks down there I do not know! Oh god I feel a headache coming on.”
“What-“
“Oh god. Big headache. Is this what you felt at ArcJet? Then again you were in that suit… Grab my bag.” Kate cut him off, her face now twisting in pain as she lay on the broken road. Her hair was matted, melted, still smoking from the embers that still littered her hair. He had never seen someone so calm after being burnt. Doing as he was told he handed her the bag. Not moving from her position of laying on her back she opened it, hand rummaging through it searching for the rolls of bandages she kept handy.
She also pulled out her canteen holding it out for him to take. Scanning the area he dismounted from his armor, she needed help and he needed his hands. Slowly she sat up, a thick clump of hair falling from her head. He couldn’t help but flinch at the blistered skin that covered the back of her neck and head.
“Pour.” She instructed. Slowly he knelt behind her unscrewing the cap off the container and carefully poured the water over her head. Her body tensed up the moment the liquid touched her, her shoulders shaking, her hands covering her mouth.
“Sorry… It’s pretty bad…” Danse whispered, pausing to wipe away the loose hair.
“I was going bald anyway.” She tried to laugh, though she shut her mouth and passed him a bandage with shaking hands. His frown deepened as he held up the remaining of her hair.
“Hold. I haven’t bandaged anyone’s head in a while, so forgive me if it’s too tight.” Danse explained lightly as he cradled the side of her head, thumb holding the end of the bandage and looping it around her forehead.
“You can lecture me now.” She growled, trying to hold back any sign of major discomfort.
“Later. I’m more concerned about your injury.”
“Danse- Paladin, I just lost a healthy chunk of hair. Now I’m not the most feminine person out there but my hair is pretty important to me.” She tried to explain.
“Joke if you must, I know it hurts. Do you have any form of pain killers until we get Scribe Haylen to look at it?” He asked tying a knot in the bandage.
“No. Gave the last of mine away to some settlers.” She groaned as he pulled her arm to help her stand. “Though now thinking about it, not the smartest thing I’ve done. Well… except just throwing a grenade in a small, flammable raider base.” She sighed, dusting herself down.
“And why did you throw that grenade?” Danse asked, getting in his suit. Kate picked up her bag throwing it over her shoulder, wincing slightly as she bent her head to get the strap over onto her shoulder.
“I like to cause a scene.” She smirked. Her joke fell flat. “I was doing well until we caught the attention of some pretty pissed of ghouls. Five became 20 then became 40. It was the best I could do.” She sighed as they started to walk. “It was like a mosh pit, everyone just climbing all over each other” She added with a chuckle.
“Mosh pit?” Danse asked curiously.
“Yeah, like at a rock concert? I guess you would have never been to one.” Kate sighed again. “Pity, but then again I don’t think you’d do too well in a pit. You would be a giant wall.” She looked up to him, her eye twitching as pain went up her neck.
“Anyway. I need to make a pit stop before going back to the police department.” Kate smiled.
“I will accompany you, you are injured.” Danse insisted. “Knock your socks off…” Kate grimaced.
The sun had set, the earth cooling down dramatically as stars started to appear, the birds had fallen silent and the night was dark.
“This settlement is pretty far out.” Danse broke the silence. The two hadn’t spoken a word since leaving the ghoul infested town. He would try to open conversation but her face was pale and expressionless, it was common for her to retreat inside herself and he had learnt it was best to let her focus on her thoughts. But now she had a childish smile spread on her face.
“Can see their fire. We’re close.” She pointed towards a hill, live trees grew thickly together but he saw the glimpse of a fire through the thick foliage. Well hidden to anyone passing by.
“Just a warning. These people have had it rough and are recovering from loss…. They may be a bit jumpy, hell I had a gun aimed at my head for half an hour while trying to convince them I was there to help, so it’s best we approach slowly but make sure we make noise to warn them of our arrival.” She explained walking ahead.
“I know how to approach civilians.” Danse reminded her.
“Sure you do, buddy.” She laughed as she raced up the hill.
“She is full of trouble…” Danse sighed looking down to Dogmeat who was still keeping at his pace. He barked in reply.
The settlement was made up of three well built, wooden houses, surrounded by dug up dirt to serve as farm land to grow crops. The fire was in the center of the homes, a spit over it slowly cooking meat, four people sitting by it cutting up vegetables silently. Kate approached them first, whistling a tune to herself as she made her way to them, using a well lit path. Already the group stopped their work.
“She made it back…” An elder man breathed, standing to greet her.
“Hope you don’t mind but I brought friends.” Kate smiled as Dogmeat ran ahead of her to the center where the people were, Danse followed but stopped to get out of his armor.
“We have heaps of food. I bet your hungry after travelling so far.” The man offered.
“I’ll skip out. Where is Maria? I need to talk with her.” Kate asked after looking around.
“She is inside…. She isn’t doing well, locked herself up in there all day, haven’t been able to coax her out.” He mummbled looking to the smaller house.
“It’s ok. Danse, sit down and have something to eat, I’ll be back.” Kate turned to the quiet man, who was feeling uncomfortable about the entire situation but he did what he was told, taking a seat where the elder man offered in front of the house Kate had entered.
“Food?” A plate was shoved into his lap without his answer.
Quietly he ate the bread, still warm from being baked in the fire, listening to the chatter of the group. They were still cutting vegetables, putting them in a bucket of water but soon their attention turned to him.
“Bandage around her head? Was’That from?” A teenage girl asked, leaning over in her seat with an excited smile.
“Fire.” He replied curtly.
“Fire? Well how did that happen?” She pressed
“Dana leave him alone. Their business is there’s. You should be thanking them.” The elder growled towards her. The girl scoffed turning away from him, arms crossed over her chest with a pout.“Don’t mind her, always begging to go and see the world and harassing every new face that comes past. You’d think with the raid she’d settle down.” The elder man grinned.
The conversation was cut short, a large wailing noise coming from the house behind them. Danse shot up, approaching the door readying to burst in. Instead he paused.
“Bless you. Oh god. They took everything of hers. Shot her down and took it all.” A woman cried. Danse peered through the crack in the door to get a better look.
Kate sat on the bed with the woman, holding her tightly and patting her back.
“It was easy. Hopefully it’ll put your daughter to rest.” Kate said quietly, still patting the woman on the back as she cried into her shoulder.
It was unlike the Kate he saw, usually with a playful grin or her face red with anger but while hugging the woman her features were soft and with the light he could see a tear running down her scarred cheek, as if mourning with her.
“Poor Aliya, my beautiful girl…. But thank you. Thank you so much. There isn’t much I can do but if you hear anything about your son or need anything, I’ll be there. Till then I’ll pray he comes home to you alive….” The woman pulled back from the hug and touched Kate’s face.
“Just stay strong.” Kate smiled softly.
Danse moved away from the door, still processing the sudden information. Kate never mentioned a son. She never mentioned anything about her past life except how different the city looked, and to learn he was missing? Suddenly something clicked in his head, a realization why she came to help and stuck around. His forehead wrinkled with a frown as he left the women .

An attack against an Italian organization lead the experts at Yoroi-Cybaze ZLab to shed the light on ongoing operations attributed to TA505.
Introduction
In the last few days, during monitoring activities, Yoroi CERT noticed a suspicious attack against an Italian organization. The malicious email contains a highly suspicious sample which triggered the ZLAB team to investigate its capabilities and its possible attribution, discovering a potential expansion of the TA505 operation. The threat group is also known for its recent attack campaign against Bank and Retail business sectors, but the latest evidence indicates a potential expansion of its criminal operation to other industries too.

The intercepted attack starts with a spear-phishing email embedding a spreadsheet. The document is weaponized with malicious macro code triggered when the user opens the document to see the content under the obfuscated view.

To understand its capabilities, the macro code has been isolated and analyzed in detail. Part of the macro’s content is shown in the following figure.

Surprisingly, the source code is composed by more than 1600 lines of code and it is highly obfuscated. Paying more attention during the code analysis, we discovered that it is full of junk instructions used to declare and initialize variables never used, as shown in Figure 2. Only a small portion of this code is actually used to start the infection, the rest is just junk code.

Once the macro is executed, the malware downloads two files from “kentona[.su”, using an SSL encrypted communication, and stores them in “C:UsersPublic” path: “rtegre.exe” and “wprgxyeqd79.exe”.

The “wprgxyeqd79.exe” sample actually is a Self Extracting Archive (SFX/SFA) containing four files designed to be extracted in the %TEMP% folder. After that, it executes “exit.exe” which launches the “i.cmd” batch script.

This new script performs a ping to “www[.cloudflare[.com” for three times with a delay of 3000ms, testing the connectivity of the victim machine. If the host is successfully reached, the script renames a file named “kernel.dll”, obviously not the real one, in “uninstall.exe”, another misleading name. Then it invokes the renamed executable and runs it passing a series of parameter: “uninstall.exe x -pQELRatcwbU2EJ5 -y”
These parameters are needed to self-decrypt the “uninstall.exe” file which is again another SFX archive. The “-p” parameter, indeed, specify the password of the archive to be extracted. The crucial file, at this point of the infection, is the SFX executable named “uninstall.exe”. It has a structure similar to previous “wprgxyeqd79.exe” file: two of their files have the same name, but the content of this new SFX is extracted in the “%ALLUSERSPROFILE%Windows Anytime Upgrade” directory.

Another time, the execution flow moves from “exit.exe to “i.cmd”. The script is quite different from the previous one: it guarantees its persistence on the victim machine through the setting of “HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun” registry key, creating a new entry named “Windows Anytime Upgrade” which points to “winserv.exe”, just stored into the same folder. Thus, the script provides to run “winserv.exe”.

An interesting part of the script is the continuous killing of every “rundll32.exe” process running into the victim machine, generates a huge amount of noise, as visible in the following process explorer view.

Anyway, just before the kill loop, the real malicious payload is executed: the “winserv.exe” file. Analyzing it in depth, we discover it actually is the RMS (Remote Manipulator System) client by TektonIT, encrypted using the MPress PE compressor utility, a legitimate tool, to avoid antivirus detection.

TektonIT RMS acts as a remote administration tool, allowing the attacker to gain complete access to the victim machine. Together with the RMS executable, there is another file named “settings.dat”containing the custom configuration prepared by the attacker. It contains information like:
Server address and port the client will connect to
The password chosen by the attacker for the remote access
The ID associated to the victim client
All these information are automatically loaded by the RMS executable and firstly stored in the registry key “HKCUSoftwaretektonikRemote MANIPULATOR SystemHostparameters”. At the next startup, the software will directly load the configuration from the just created key.

The client establishes a new connection with the remote command and control server hosted on a Bulgarian remote host 217.12.201.159, part of a Virtual Dedicated Server subnet of the AS-21100, operated by ITL LLC.

The TA505 Connection
After the reconstruction of the full infection chain, we noticed strong similarities with a recent spear-phishing attack campaign against an unspecified US retail company. The attack, as stated by CyberInt, leveraged a command and control server located in Germany related to the TA505 actor: a very active group involved in cyber-criminal operation all around the world, threatening a wide range of high profile companies, active since 2014.

The comparison of the infection chains reveals in both cases the attacker used a couple of SFX stages to deploy the “RMS” software: a legitimate remote administration tool produced by the Russian company “TektonIT”. The tool is able to grant remote access and full, direct control of the infected machine to the group. Also, some code pieces are directly re-used in the analyzed campaigns, such as the “i.cmd” and “exit.exe” files, and, at the same time, some new components have been introduced, for instance the “rtegre.exe” and the “veter1605_MAPS_10cr0.exe” file.
During the analysis, we also noticed the “veter1605_MAPS_10cr0.exe” file slightly changed run after run, a few hours after the initial discovery the infection chain dropped it with different icons, different suffix, from “cr0” to “cr24”, and appendix from “veter1605_” to “veter2005_”. This may indicate the campaign is still ongoing.
Conclusion
The TA505 group is one of the most active threat groups operating since 2014, it has traditionally targeted Banking and Retail industries, as we recently documented during the analysis of the “Stealthy Email Stealer” part of their arsenal. The peculiarity of this recent attack wave is it actually hit a company not strictly in the Banking or Retail sector, as they recently did, suggesting the threat group could be potentially widening their current operations.

How soon after an insurance company cancels an auto policy for non-payment will they report that cancellation to the dmv? I understand the electronic notification, but how quickly will the insurance company actually notify the dmv that the party is no longer covered? Me and my dad are going to start a small trucking company. Only one truck at first. He will be the driver and I'll be putting up the money for it and be the owner. Wow yikes I was late to the party as usual but we're gonna hope that doesn't have an impact on my gameplay. So so so SO happy to be with Ricky that's like a tight lock right there already so we're off to a good start but we gotta work the social game to turn our two into a majority. These challenges always stress me out but we'll see what we can do I guess lol
I am overwhelmed but in a good way! SO many new faces and that makes me so happy! I really hope that our tribe wins immunity this go around, I'm semi worried about all the young ones forming an alliance and trying to get the older ones out but for now I'm going to focus on WINNING! I was so happy to see that Abbey and Ashley Sarah were on my tribe. Abbey is SUCH a sweetheart, I really like her and I've played with her before but never on the same tribe I think, and Ashley Sarah and I came into the community at the same time (one of our mutual friends saw an application for a game and got us to apply and the rest is HISTORY) and she is my BEST FRIEND! So I'm super excited and I'm sure we're going to stick together but also see who else we can talk to and try to work with!
I really like everyone so far and I think that we'll do really good in this challenge unless someone goes out and gets a tattoo.
My first impressions of everyone so far are good! Amanda was the only one who reached out to me when the game started, so I'm a bit worried I'm missing out on making social connections, but it's only the first night, so I shouldn't be too stressed. I just need to reach out to others but I'm so nervous! Everyone is intimidating and I'm scared.
Signing up for the different items for immunity was stressful because by the time I actually got the document to load, everyone had taken everything I was going to sign up for and it was really sad. I took pictures of things anyway, and if the people who signed up for stuff don't follow through, I've got a few things covered.
Moving forward in the game, I want to continue to talk with Amanda and reach out to Gwen, Francie, Ali, and Nayeli. I'll see how that works out for me. (Sorry if this is too long LOL)
Okay. So a thirteen year old is here which is cool. I feel bad for saying this, but she might be easily to befriend and manipulate since she does seem a bit aloof and awkward. Abbey seems sweet, but she marked down a lot of things with her name on it for the challenge. She seems like she might be a leader-type. Setting herself up for either success or demise here. Putting a huge target on her back, but I'm probably reading too much into it. There seem to be few boys in the tribe. Now as Aja said, "I don't wanna be the one, but I'm going to be the one." An all boys alliance could hold some potential here. Bryce seems nice. We both shared out thoughts on Australian Survivor and I feel like we have a connection. Zoe added me to what appears to be an alliance chat. I don't know if she did that by accident but if she wants to come to me that's fine. Every seems cool otherwise.
I'm really liking my tribe they all seem really cool and since it seems like a lot of people in the tribe are first timers too I feel more comfortable but I haven't found my footing in the tribe yet and haven't really talk to anybody which could be horrible if we lose the immunity challenge
Alright, I made a confessional not even at hour ago but here's another one: I love Toph. We bonded because we were both newbies and then he brings up alliances and since I had none, I hopped on it. We have yet to think of a name because neither of us are creative enough but we're trying. Toph wants to start fake alliances and share information with each other while backstabbing members of the tribes without anyone realizing we're working together. He even wants to plan a fake fight (He's a messy one, but I love him) in the tribe chat sometime later in the game just to make sure people don't suspect us of working together. I love it. I told him my strategy going in was mainly social. I wanted to pick out one person then go from there, making alliances around them and only being loyal to that one person. He said he had the same strategy. I think it's beautiful. Maybe I'm naïve, though, and he plans to backstab me just like he plans to backstab everyone else... but for now, I love Toph. I hope we can make it far and our messy plans play out well.

Rafael THOUGHT he would be sneaky and search for the idol at 5am. He was wrong, this is even more suspicious than in Mo's case because he said he was searching for it when most of the tribe was there. Rafael did it when he thought everyone was asleep, which raises many red flags.
Meeting everyone was such an experience. There are so many people to talk to its a little overwhelming. But there are a few people like will, raphael, zoe, and zipzap? that I found I have a good talk to. Mo seems hard to talk too and I can't tell if he likes me or not hsadkj

Amanda Lynn, Toph, and I have started an alliance called Merge Hopefuls. We're pretty cute. I love Amanda. She's super sweet and great at challenges. And Toph is great as well. But they both worry me. Amanda worries me because she's so good at everything. And everyone likes her. I'm worried that she's aligned with everyone and that she'll make it to merge without breaking a sweat. I trust her and I want her to keep me safe for a bit, but it also makes me uneasy. And as for Toph, he's low key crazy. He wanted to throw the first immunity to make sure some lines were drawn and he wants to start a big fake fight. He wants to get big targets out early and all this stuff, but I'm just trying to lay low! I've been trying to be Toph's voice of reason and I keep telling him we need to wait a bit before stirring things up. We don't want to be the first out on our tribe. I think he thinks he's invincible, but he's not! He worries me. But I'm going to stick with him for that reason. He's going to do something crazy and then he'll get burned for it, but I'll stay clear of it. Especially if Toph doesn't want people to know we're working together.
Another note: I think Toph made the exact same "final two" deal with Amanda that he did me. Which wouldn't be smart. Amanda is hella good at this and everyone can tell. He'd be smarter sticking with me. But I'll let him decide. >:-)
Other tribe members I want to work with include Ray, Francie, Gwen, and Ali. Which is like almost the whole tribe. But Amanda Lynn really likes Ray and I think we could make a good alliance with Amanda Lynn, Toph, Ray, and I. I like Francie a lot because she's also very good at comps and seems loyal. I like Gwen because she's so funny and good at comps. And I like Ali because he's adorable??? He's just so nice to me I want to work with him.
Aundra, Nayeli, and Michael are hard to have conversations with I think. But everyone else I get along with very well! I'm hoping our tribe wins the first immunity so we don't have to go to tribal this week. If we lose, I'd want to vote out one of the three above mentioned. But I love the tribe as a whole. I think we get along very well and are good at working in teams. I tried not to step on anyone's toes this challenge but I did take one of Amanda's pics and one of Nayeli's. But Amanda did like half the list so I don't think she minded.

Well looks like we all are going to tribal. I'm hoping for an Ashley elimination honestly or maybe Bryce, but the latter did put in his submissions early. Meanwhile, Ashley making me do the wok to submit her picture last minute. Like really queen? That doesn't show responsibility. Honestly hoping to rope in Zoe here with the plan and maybe Will. I want to also message Abbey to see where head is at. Until tribal.
Just trying to watch GoT but things are happening. In an alliance with amanda g, will, and zoe. This is really cool because I reallly wanted to work with amanda g and will. Zoe seems a little tyrant like but its cool. Seems to be voting Ruthie because shes inactive but thats sad.
I think we are voting Ruthie. I’ve really liked Rafael and Amanda from the start, and both invited me to alliance with them. The only problem is that they are both very suspicious of each other, and Amanda and that alliance wanted to vote Rafael out--I convinced them to vote Ruthie, and Rafael is also voting Ruthie. Nothing against her, shes just inactive and an easy vote. I hope everything goes as planned. I got an idol clue. It's not between the numbers 925 -1000. Which narrows it down a little. OH HONEY! So me and Zoe formed an alliance that seems really solid. However, Zoe also said she was added into an alliance with Amanda and Will who both are suspicious of me. I'm shook! Honestly though, I want Amanda gone. Her tribal answer was so shady that I'm shaking!!!!! Ruthie's name has been brought up multiple times when I went poking around. But when I asked Abbey, she proceeded to dodge the question and Ruthie goes searching for the idol. Pretty suspect. Me and Zoe are planning on getting the outsiders on our side (Ashley and Ricky) after tribal. Hopefully it goes well. Mo is also a potential ally. We will have the numbers and then we eliminate Abbey. Point. Blank.

What's the tea? What's the tea bitch is that we won that challenge hunty! And i am living for it! I was kinda hoping we lose so i could see where the line was drawn but i guess i need to wait! So aundra asked me if i wanted to be in an alliance with her and I agreed with a sly smirk!! Aundra, Micheal, Emily, and I are "working" together in a little alliance called "badass". Aundra wants to get Amanda L out and I can't wait to expose that bitch and get her sent home! I honestly acting so friendly towards everyone and it's funny because im actually planning there demise! Aundra, ray, and ali can all get booted!
These first few days have been super exciting. I really like who I'm working with so far. I'm closest with Amanda Lynn and Toph. I'm still working on becoming Gwen and Ali's BFF. It's a little difficult.
Top and I finally decided on a name to call ourselves: Tophily. It kind of sounds like taffy but cuter. But that's as creative as we could get with names.
Top, Amanda Lynn, and I went idol searching and BOTH OF THEM MESSED UP AFTER FIVE NUMBERS. But it's three am I can't blame them tbh. Anyway, I didn't find the idol either. But at least I searched my fifty numbers.
Once again, Toph continues to scare me with his wild plans to cause chaos. He wants to get everyone to target Amanda Lynn (A smart idea in my mind. Girl has a wonderful social game and is great at comps, she needs to be out pre-merge.) and then use the idol on her! He hasn't even found an idol and he's planning this! I am continuously shook by his plans because they're either 1. Incredibly devious and he doesn't seem like a devious person, or 2. Incredibly stupid but I want him to do it just so he learns that this type of game play is dangerous. Especially early on! I keep giving him rational ideas and alternatives to these plans, but I don't think he's going to stop until I give him permission to do some damage. Whenever he does, I do not want to be attached to it in anyway. I'm going to try and distance myself from him and tell him not to tell people we're close. He's close with both Aundra and Michael (People I'm not close with) and refused to be in an alliance with them unless I could come with. Um? Toph? What happened to staying low key? Now they know we're working together? And the alliance is not going to work out because I don't think any of the four of us have any intention on staying loyal to it. It's called the Bad Ass Alliance because it's a bad alliance, not because we're cool.
Anyway, I'm enjoying my night of immunity, but I'm still excited for the next challenge tomorrow night! I should be getting to bed though. It's 3:22 am. Goodnight.

The plan has changed. Ashley is back to being the target. I've gotten to know Ruthie and I'm already planting seeds for an alliance. If she stays, I have stronger numbers. But a lot of people's names have been going around. I'm scared that the vote will split with Ruthie going home. I'm not excited about it. If Ashley stays, that puts me in danger since I was a component to her downfall.

Okay I didn't find the idol, I really hope Ashley finds it with this search so that she won't be voted out! I think I'm going to tell people that she told me she found the idol and then I'm going to just PRAY that I'm not the backup vote! I'm so nervous about all of this I really hope she finds it! I'm scared that I'll be the back up vote if she doesn't find it and I try to play it off like she does.
Okay so, this game started while I was at work and then I got fucked up last night so i honestly don't even know what's going on, all I know is that I love Will so much, love Abbey to death. Everyone else is irrelevant and apparently Will is pulling a lot of the strings right now so as long as I can sit there and look like a snack and have Will just pull me along, then it'll be fine. I do view Will as my closest ally right now and I have a lot of trust invested in him, and I believe he feels the same. Me and abbey have so much history and I know right now that's I'm never writing her name down but I don't know if I want to work with her or if it's just the excitement of being in a game with her again that's getting to me.
