This will be my last post regarding the incident
Its not the fact that izzy died. Its the how and why that angers me
Because his death didn't make sense. Because he survived way worse than that, and everyone else did too. Because there is literally no reason why it was necessary for him to die. Because the crew didnt mourn him after the whole season of bonding with him. Because they buried him instead of giving him a proper pirate funeral at sea. Because they should've at least try to save him instead of just standing there and watching him die. Because his death scene wasn't about him but about edward. Because "the crew loves you, ed" they actually don't. Because everything regarding izzy's death feels weird and out of place.
All of it could've been resolved if it wasn't for hbo cutting the numbers of episodes, but then why bother to kill a character that you supposedly care for when you can't give him a proper goodbye?

ed being so so deeply suicidal but being so terrified of actually doing it and constantly trying to make other people kill him to the point where even in his own purgatory it still couldn't be him that made the choice it had to be the manifestation of someone he hates....

If ur not careful I might have to watch torchwood… do u recommend or is it an affliction you would not recommend to others?
hehehehehe >:3c gottem boys
no fr like. you have to look past the fact it's a low budget bbc production at times and embrace the slightly see through lesbian alien with foot long fingers that can read minds. you have to embrace the sex alien that absorbs people through her pussy. crucially, you have to watch it in as few sittings as possible. the only proper way to watch torchwood is to watch the entire thing absolutely nonstop and nothing else in between until your brain falls out through your ears :)

it's difficult to even say I'm an anime fan in general bc the vast majority of them are so bad it's unreal. I've been thinking about this lately since I've been doing hxh rewatch #5 due to having 0 new shows to watch bc for every remotely decent well executed show that comes out there's like five hundred of the following: stupid light novel adaptations (always pervy), shitty isekai series that are virtually identical from each other aside from one stupid gimmick like "I got reincarnated in another world...but as a toaster oven?!" (also always pervy), disgusting harem series (pervy goes without saying), boring unfunny moeblob slice of life where literally nothing interesting ever happens, ecchi series full of the most degenerate fanservice you can imagine, b-list shounen that treats the female characters like shit, low budget poorly animated copy paste yumejo/fujobait show (nothing like the elite fujobait shows of MY day), etc etc.
like it's obviously bc they pander to the ones who spend the most money on merch and dvds and stuff (so hardcore otaku who are almost always total freakshows) & prioritize quantity over quality, but its annoying bc the medium has so much potential if they would just stop paying the animators sweatshop wages & focus on making series that appeal to a wide audience instead of pumping out slop for loser men who just want wish fulfillment, waifus & fetishes that completely alienate any other audience. I feel like this has been getting worse lately, I used to be able to watch a small handful of enjoyable shows every season (not all of them were masterpieces obv but just fun stuff that wasn't totally disgusting lol) now it's like maybe 2 a year. bah.
