We all know cybird is awful when it comes to running ikevamp but RN I have a whole thing about the demi-vampire and the dhampires
Demi-vampire does in fact mean half and half
And so does Dhampire
But they are different kinds
Slight spoilers
Dhampires are fully human on a new moon and are fully vampire (basically pureblood) in a full moon. Blood lust goes crazy and all. And for the rest of the month they are somewhere in-between.. they still need food, but I think they can be sensed by a pureblood as if they are a lesser (not 100% but that's what it seems)
But as far as I am aware.. we get no explanation on Napoleon being a demi in his sequel.
And I feel like demis were supposed to have a bigger impact, but then they had the idea of the racism in vampires and realized they needed to make it a bit more dramatic and made dhampires.
Bc Napoleon didn't need blood at all until the very end. Man was basically just human.
I wish they could go back and change Napoleons route and be like "yeah no.. he's a Dhampire" bc if we aren't getting any demi answers then he might as well be.
I also feel like it was a bad thing to have Napoleon as the first route if they wanted him to be a demi. They weren't 100% sure where the game was going yet, and maybe having a bit more lore premade into the game would have meant that we would have had time for answers.
They wanted to go hard with their first routes but it ended up creating a lot of plot holes and things not adding up.
Like I feel like if Leonardo was a later route it would be SOOOO much better, I don't think it's bad.. but it could have been even better. Or maybe they could have made another demi.. idk. But they wanted Galileo and Drake to have a story behind being half and half and with Napoleon being a demi, things wouldn't have added up so they needed a whole other breed of vampires
Even tho demi literally means half and half in this case

Playing Napoleon’s sequel feels so nostalgic omg 🥹 Granted, I’m still only at the beginning, so there hasn’t been any drama yet, but the first few chapters remind me so much of playing his route for the first time, way back when I first downloaded IkeVamp. Peaceful mansion fluff, wake-up kisses, family time with all the residents… ahh the good old days

Ok I'm getting worried.
Instead of going with the right order of how sequel routes should come out, starting with the first three suitors available at game start - Napoleon, Mozart, Leonardo - ikevamp JP announced sequel for Arthur, skipping Mozart and Leonardo for the time being.
With the exact date of release at that, as if rushed somehow.
Their most popular suitor which brings them the most money from player purchases.
I don't know if this is a sign of them being financially in a bad spot or I'm just being paranoid after the announcement of ikerev 's shutting down, but i hope it's the latter...

Started Leon's route today (yesterday TECHNICALLY), so that now leaves me with only Sariel & Rio's routes to complete twice.
And in IkeSen, I started Kennyo's route, which will leave me uh... Motonari, Yoshimoto, and Kanetsugu's routes to go through at least once.
However I did start up Napoleon's route again after 3 years? I think? I don't remember, I just know I took a year's break. But he'll end up being Route #3 that I've gone through twice. (And I don't remember anything about his route because everything is shocking me in it right now and it's the funniest thing to me, like Dazai and his mysterious acquirement of ingredients for Tofu)
Meanwhile, I'm strugglebus'n through completing everyone's routes in IkeRev. Cause all that's left is the Sequel routes and Dalim's to go through at least once, but I'll probably wait to do the sequel routes until I've gone through everyone's routes twice. Thankfully there's no new updates to it since its discontinuation, however its still sad to think about because oof.
And William's route I'm taking a break on so I can accumulate items since I'm more or less going in blind on IkeVil as is with the sole goal of being 100% F2P on it should it get released onto an EN server. I dont have to do much in IkeGen however since it's whole system layout is different from IkeVamp and IkePri's system.
But for once I'm actually making progress on certain things during down time that I wouldn't have been able to do before some odd years ago, if anything, if I hadn't finally learned to say "fuck it" I'd still be in the same spot 10 some odd years ago
