Haha yeaaahh... You're definitely not the first to think that I was just making them up!! Not too many online have heard of the show or seen anything for it outside of my art, but I am definitely working from a base here! XD But thank you! Tbf, a lot of it is still technically is coming from my brain bc I have very much created my own storyline out of it that differs wildly from the original for a lot of it. The trajectory of the storyline is still kind of the same at the baseline, but at this point, it really could become an original if I wanted to (have thought about doing so eventually, but just isn't on my mind much for now).

I've also made a lot of my own characters that are involved with the story more than what the original had. The merguy and drider lady are not in the original for example. There are many others I haven't posted about yet as well. Also Jayce and Lucy are p much always trying to kill each other in the show and definitely not a ship... X'D But the potential was there...

I often say for those wanting to check out the show after seeing my art that they need to prepare for a VERY different kind of story playing out than what I have! ^^;

Haha, it’s weird bc tumblr just today notified me that you mentioned me in the post? Weird but still. Nice to see! :D

Okay, so I have to give credit to @iggyalfi2319 for first connecting the badge scene to being borrower-related bc tbh it hadn’t even clicked for me even though it should have been really obvious lol. So it’s this clip here

But with a Gt twist having Lois be smol! I think my main idea here is that Lois was shrunk somehow, and remains that way for a bit until they can get her back to normal. Jimmy being the one into all sorts of folktales and such would no doubt know about the concept of borrowers, so him and Lois are joking about it to mess with Clark lol. I also considered the idea however, that Lois actually is a borrower, and the reason why her clothes look so “normal” is because she took them off of dolls. She has dreams of becoming a real reporter some day, but of course that seems impossible given what she is. 

But one day she either decides to reveal herself to Clark and Jimmy, or gets discovered by mistake, and after the initial shock of discovering her they offer to team up! Maybe she lives in the Daily Planet and when Clark and Jimmy start working there, she sees them and considers them to be her chance?

A bit of an alternate plot there! I drew this with mostly the first idea in mind, but go ahead and go with the second one too! I may even try drawing some of the borrower AU plot line. Honestly now I’m liking the idea of her actually being a borrower even more…. oof.

I have a habit of really only getting into a fanwork if I make my own spin on it? Otherwise I don't usually get as invested in producing art for it. I like to think of how I'd do things differently or my own interpretation, but I also am able to work within the boundless freedom of no budget and deadlines, and that tends to make a big difference with projects... 😅

I'm just trying to spark joy in my life and hopefully others with my creations.

Thomas has different voices for each Sides, right? Like a chromatic wheel, do you think their can be a voice transition wheel between each Side? Because honestly I think there's similarities between Patton and Remus as well as Logan and Virgil. Virgil and Janus are close too.

If I was better at processing audio I betcha I could make a whole post on this tbh. But you’re def right that they have similarities!! Like Patton and Remus both have higher voices, Logan and Virgil both have lower/more slow (?) voices, tbh Roman and Janus both have a sort of theatrical element in theirs??? Unfortunately I’m not super great at describing sounds but I bet you could make some kind of wheel connecting everyone!
