my thoughts on doctor who characters and their opinions on barbie (my mental illness has reached its peak)
rose went to see barbie and she wore full pink and for sure cried because that disconnect in mothers she has had w/ jackie (mickey tagged along but like found himself in ken and so rose got grossed out and left him there and he went to see oppenheimer after) (jackie cried)
nine watched barbie but because rose made me, he actually liked it but did NOT wear pink. he went to watch oppenheimer after and threw popcorn when it was wrong
martha watched barbie and LOVED it she wore a pink top and expected it to be camp but cried (mother issues </3) and she kinda found similarities in ken and the doctor and she avoided analyzing that too deeply
donna wore so much pink for barbie and she fucking loved it she for sure cried (mother issues 3.0) she couldn’t stop talking about it for a week she loved the soundtrack and has at least one song on repeat. she almost punched the doctor when he said he was watching oppenheimer
jack would want to see oppenheimer but ianto wanted to see barbie so they went to barbie with gwen, tosh, and owen and tbh they had a group cry after and it’s all they talked about for the following week.
ten wanted to watch oppenheimer for the incorrect trivia but every one of his companions kidnapped him and so he watch barbie and he loved it but the way martha looked at him after left him shaking in his boots
amy wanted to watch oppenheimer but rory wanted to watch barbie (they went to see oppenheimer because rory would do anything for amy) they enjoyed it and after watched barbie because amy felt bad and tbh she liked it more but she wouldn’t admit it (mother issues 4.0)
river went to see indiana jones but also barbie and oppenheimer (over the course of a week or in one day vortex manipulator) she LOVED barbie indiana jones opened her up to phoebe waller bridge and she found fleabag… let’s just say “it’ll pass” left her thinking of the doctor…
eleven went to see indiana jones because it reminded him of river but after he went to oppenheimer and actually he got so mad at the incorrect things (it could’ve been one item and he would’ve still done this) he went back and talked to nolan himself eleven also watched barbie and he wore a pink bow tie and cried, he left feeling depressed because he over thought (also during oppenheimer he got bored so he for sure left in the middle of the movie) (also for barbie if he didn’t go on his own clara would’ve dragged him)
vastra and jenny both watched barbie and jenny loved it more but vastra loved it cause of how much jenny loved it
clara went to see barbie and LOVED it she wore a pink floral shirt (or skirt, i could see either one) and cried (mother issues what is this now 5?) but i also know she loved making her barbie’s kiss other barbie’s but also kens (me too) she also loved allen but because he looked goofy
bill went to see barbie and loved it SHE WORE A FULL PINK OUTFIT she loved it so much she begged the doctor to let her see it twice she wanted to fight ken and i know she would argue with anyone who had a shit opinion on the movie (she considered oppenheimer for florence pugh) [she also cried bc of mother issues]
twelve wanted to see none of them but got dragged to barbie by both bill and clara and he will NEVER admit it but he cried (he didn’t wear pink which almost got him smacked) he thought about that movie for weeks and even went back in time to be on set
yaz went to see barbie and cried (mother issues how many more can we get) and she definitely wore a pink outfit. she was so excited for this movie she made the doctor bring her to the future to see it (she went again with her sister and they cried together)
ryan went to see barbie and wore a pink shirt OR dressed as ken (cried mommy issues AGAIN) he really enjoyed it and i know he thought about what his ken would be like after the movie
graham went with ryan and yaz after yaz begged for them to go and he liked the film (he wore a pink hat idk why) and he is VOCAL about his opinions but like not in a bad way, he listens to feedback for different opinions and he has the mentality of “it wasn’t meant for me was it”
thirteen watched barbie with yaz on a date and loved it, she watched barbie grow up when visiting earth and was always fascinated by them, she has a few barbie’s somewhere in the tardis and even went back and bought a few after watch the movie (she bought allen and she also bought yaz a very limited barbie… well i say bought…)
simms!master watched oppenheimer because barbie was too bright in his opinion, he laughed during oppenheimer.
missy watched both oppenheimer and barbie, season eight missy would’ve liked oppenheimer more because it gave her ideas. season ten missy? she LOVED barbie the depth in character + finding your own purpose resonated so well with her and she cried even if she would never admit it
dhawan!master loved barbie IDCC look he made oppenheimer for thirteen like he didn’t need a 2for1 deal. he resonated so hard with barbie and the mother issues (but it’s the older timelord shunning him for the problem they caused) like yeah he was frothing at the mouth holding back tears. the whole “what is my purpose” feeling pre-blowing up galifrey probably would’ve left his ass question if he was making a bad decision. he considered seeing oppenheimer but heard it’s as three hours and got mad so he just read the wiki to it and still got bored

Hello gamer I am here from the Dream post because it won’t let me copy paste because mobile is ass. This ask is /pos to you!
liking a character is super different than excusing or even liking their actions. I really like techno n a lot of people would say I’m excusing doomsday and stuff lmaoo.
My best friend is in a similar boat with Dream, and while we disagree on some things we can still interact positively because liking or disliking a character doesn’t effect shit. There is a huge difference between liking dreams character and like. Saying that Tommy deserved it or that Tommy is at fault for anything inflicted and ppl need to realize that. Liking a character doesn’t equal excusing their actions, and because of the extreme polarization in this community people forget.
Sorry if this doesn’t make sense or misinterpreted your post, im kind of inept sometimes. I’m off anon so you can block if u want, I don’t want to cause any harm.

and yea basically i agree, you'd have to search far and wide to find a c!Dream apologist/enjoyer/whatever the fuck you want to call us who'd say Exile the way we saw it was deserved, obviously not, what the fuck, c!Dre, how about maybe you chill a little, this was not very poggers of you. as I said in a different post today, c!Tommy getting outta there is one of the best things ever imo for multiple reasons and if I could I'd yeet c!Dream off a cliff during that time my damn self (and then I'd send him straight to therapy. both of them. very very far away from each other)
which is why it's so annoying/jarring/straight up hurtful when people look at c!Dream fans and go 'ah yes they are the worst people out there they are actually dangerous in real life' - like guys please you've seen me make a shitpost and/or analysis about a fictional character you have no idea about my irl morals or my personal story or anything else about me or my other Dreblr friends, or c!Techno fan friends, or any other character fan friends because let's be honest so many characters did some fucked up stuff on this server- (not you personally, general you @ at the people saying this stuff)
it's just like. people throw around these big words and serious accusations and don't think that it actually means anything, but newsflash, they do, and I'm past the point of Not calling this out when I see it, you know? if no one taught these people better, then I can try, although often times it's a lost cause because people are not willing to listen

Akudama Drive Character Opinions/Thoughts Pt. 2
Heyo!! <3 Here’s Pt. 2. I can’t believe this has two parts OMG. Remember that these are just my opinions so feel free to disagree with me! This was just a ramble I did for fun. I know it’s different from what I normally post, but hey! I wanted to try something new. :D

Cutthroat: I think I have a special place in my heart for white haired, crazy psychopaths, oop. (Juuzou Suzuya and Rui*) I adored Cutthroat from the very first moment I saw him. [Side note: I’m kind of disappointed that the show went with the pronoun “He” (I was super excited to have a nonbinary character, but alas.] Those little moments in the beginning with Swindler and Cutthroat were weird, but surprisingly wholesome at times and I really loved when he ate the tin of marshmallows, dropped the knife (you know when xD), and pressed all the buttons on board the airbus. I equally loved the serious side of him that showed that he was much more intelligent than he let on (that scene where he throws his knives to reach the button; Episode 3). I just thought that those two different personalities mixed in with the childlike-psychoticness was super refreshing (even if we’ve seen characters like him before). But as much as I love Cutthroat, I have mixed feelings about his death in episode 9. I know some people are angry at Swindler for killing him, but honestly I think it kind of had to be done what with the way that he was acting towards her (love vs. bloodlust. IT'S nOT lOvE). So while I’m definitely sad boi over him dying, I do admit that he was genuinely terrifying during his last moments. (Haha I prefer the Cutthroat that spends his day eating marshmallows, thank you!!)
Brother: Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun anyone? Lmaoo. I liked him a lot. I thought he was a cutie and I really admired the strength/resilience he showed in trying to protect his Sister (something that I’m sure was endearing to a lot of us). I was definitely aware that the two of them were Sus from the beginning when we saw them on board the Shinkansen, but I never could’ve imagined the ending! I originally predicted them being the bad guys of the story and that the Akudama would have to ally with the Executioners. But all in all I’m SO RELIEVED the two of them were able to escape to somewhere better. I loved the role that Swindler played within their lives (even for a short time) and how she helped Brother and Sister show more outward emotions to one another. Also that scene where he was surprised at all the swear words Sister learned was so funny. xD
Sister: I was suspicious of both Brother and Sister from the very beginning and really didn’t have strong feelings for either of them. Sort of like. “Yay kids…?.” But I’m so glad that Sister really found herself with Swindler and was able to become more expressive and more child-like. It hurts to know that these two children can and never will have normal lives/childhoods, so in a really sad way Swindler was able to give Sister a glimpse into a normal life during her last few days. ;-; I really can’t say much more about Sister, besides the fact that I’m genuinely very happy that the two of them were able to continue living on hopefully in a better place. Her moments with Swindler and Courier were so cute!! And the way that she repeated everything they said was adorable. Also. HER OUTFIT slayed. I was so touched by the sisterly relationship that Sister and Swindler had. <3
Executioner (Master): DayUM SiR save some of that badasseryness for the rest of us. He was super cool and I think his entire arc around his death was super well done!! A truly Breathtaking end to his life. While watching the show I definitely acknowledged how strong he was, but overall apart from that I can’t say I really had any particular feelings towards him. I have a confession: I didn’t really react too much to his death (I’m sorryyy I’m a terrible person). I appreciated more so about what he allowed for story-wise, I think he was a great example for the moral ambiguities between Akudama and Executioner/the moments between him and his pupil were great, but that’s about it. I think his final moments were very powerful and I could tell that he cared about his pupil a lot so that’s nice, especially in the context of her character growth later on in the show...which is amazing!!
Executioner (Pupil): I really wished she would have joined the Akudama side. I obviously know that that would never happen, but it would’ve been amazing for her to question the actions of the executioners and change sides. We see that she isn’t driven in the same way that her boss or her teacher were and seemed genuinely affected when the little girl told her that her parents were killed in the riots. It would’ve been so cool to see her fight against Doctor alongside Hoodlum, Courier, Swindler in the train station (Side note: If the circumstances had been different, I don’t think she would’ve allowed Doctor to get her way like that, but who knows?). Another thing I loved was seeing the time lapse between her being a dedicated student to becoming almost a replica of her teacher (scar of some sort with a fierce determination to fight alone), but unlike her teacher, I felt more inclined to like her for whatever reason. I just felt that it would’ve been great to see her rise up against the Executioners and question her own morals further (even if that might have included sparing some Akudama’s lives). But overall, I liked her more as the season progressed. Go Girl!
Executioner (Junior): This POOR boy had it rough. I mean signing on to be the junior apprentice of an Executioner during all of this?! And also the fact that Doctor literally pierced his heart with a needle AND he later got shot (possibly killed?) Like leave him alone! :00 Haha, but seriously, he seemed super nice and almost seemed like the Executioner equivalent to Swindler (not entirely sure what they’re doing/gets pulled into the mess of the Akudama, etc.). I thought he was super cute. :3
Boss: She was lowkey a bad bitch tho not gonna lie. I found her super cool with a great sense of authority...that is until she ordered all of the citizens to literally be slaughtered. I can understand why she issued the first order of having all the citizens be turned into Akudama, but then like just killing all of them that were rioting?? NOOO. I’m not quite too sure what else I should say about her? I thought she was interesting and would’ve liked to see her fight, or her own past (she seems older so backstory of the Executioners would’ve been fun!)
Black Cat (A.I) : While parts of Brother and Sister’s backstories were a little lost on me, I liked the addition of Black Cat as sort of a mini-catalyst to the entire hijacking mission in the beginning. I think the cat had a great presence in the first episode (almost a symbol of bad luck from the moment Swindler finds them...OoooOO). Not much to say apart from the fact that like. Yup. That's a robot cat. [Side note: Sort of reminds me of Monokuma xD)

Ranking Bare: A Pop Opera Posters I found on the internet!!
Hey y’all so I’ve been a fan of Bare for almost 2 years now and it’s one of my favorite musicals ever. I love seeing how different productions chose to highlight the show’s themes and characters in posters from an advertising perspective. I’m going to be ranking them based on how well it conveys the main ideas of the show as well as if it’s aesthetically pleasing. Also this is just a personal preference so it’s okay to disagree with my trash taste lmao. Feel free to write out your list in reblogs!
~disclaimer: I’m judging them solely based on the poster and taking nothing else into consideration I found most of these at random on the internet so I have no clue how some of these productions were~
10. Stageart (Australia)
I think it’s really beautiful but all I really know about the show just by looking at this poster is it’s about religion, it dosnt focus on any of the other themes so I don’t think it really works that well for “selling the show” to people.
9. NYC June 2013
This one works for getting the main plot across and showcasing the characters but I just find the design kind of cringy. It’s really over the top and cartoony? I’m a fan of digital or drawn art posters but this one just looks off to me. But I love that they used a quote from the song “bare”.
8. Detroit Actor’s company
For someone who knows the show well it works fine and it’s artistically unique, it doesn’t do a great job of showing what Bare is about. It highlights the religious aspect well but other than that, someone who has no idea what Bare is will still not get a good grasp of the show after looking at this poster. But the stain glass idea is beautiful, it beats out some of the others in my book for being creative.
7. King’s Player
This one is perfect for conveying the plot of bare. It has a church background with two boys in the middle. While I’m not a big fan of the rainbow ties which makes it a little tacky, anyone who sees this knows what they are in for if they see the show.
6. Korean Production
I really love this poster it’s breathtaking. It shows lighting and set design plays a big role in this particular production. it’s just a really interesting and different poster. But unfortunately like some of the others it doesn’t tell me much about the show. But it definitely draws people in and including the “everybody has a secret” line against a church scene was a good choice.
5. Bare the Musical
Ah yes, the infamous Bare the Musical. Completely ignoring the fact they changed the show’s characters, some of the plot, and the lyrics for no reason, it does a fantastic job of highlighting the show’s plot, and I like the photos on a cross design.
4. 2013 LA Production: character photos
This one was a series of posters each with different characters and I really love how some of them came out. I picked out some of the main ones but there were a lot more so you should definitely google it to see the full collection. Each of them show a different aspect of the story. Peter and Jason show the lgbt+ side, Lucas’s shows the drug side, etc. but some of them did come out a little too posed and kinda weird like I’m not a fan of the Matt and Ivy one it’s a big yikes. But most of them were a success.
3. Off Broadway
A CLASSIC. This one represents the show really well and in a unique way. You can easily see it’s set in a school and that there is a religious aspect, but it leaves out the lgbt+ part of Bare which is huge. But I love how they highlighted the cast in this and it’s so creative.
2. 2013 LA Production: lyrics
The lyrics of Bare are absolutely genius so it’s smart to use that as a advertising tool. It picks out some of the best parts of the show and describes what it is about perfectly. It’s a little cluttered but I think it’s a great idea, I actually have this poster in my room cause I love it so much.
1. The Vaults (London)
This one is hands down my favorite. Not only is it a gorgeous design, but it also conveys the plot and main characters brilliantly. You can see there is a silhouette of two boys with a rainbow background and a cross for religion it’s perfect. Plus the lyrics from the song “one” was a awesome choice and is perfect for drawing people in. I use this one as my phone background lmaoo. Although I would’ve loved if it showcased some of the other characters, I think that the simple design is why it works so well.
So those are my thoughts! There are a ton more posters out there but I limited it to just a few. Maybe I’ll do a part two, or one just ranking the la photo posters, but this is all for now. Hope you enjoyed!

Suffering from his friend’s pain. I hate seeing my friends cry and when something bad happens to them I feel worse than if it had happened to me.
Well I believe that being James’ friend immediately included second hand embarrasment bc the boy just has no shame lmaoo

Things I learned while re-watching Star Plus Mahabharata (Part 16/many):
1) As ever with Duryodhan, I cannot disagree with anything he says.
2) Oh god. This scene. Panchali’s curse. Her walking away as Arjun looks on. Gold.
3) Not sure I like this new version of Krishna seekh.
4) Also we have not seen Krishna fight once in this battle of Dwarka vs the King of Shalva.
5) I also don’t like crying Krishna. Not saying he can’t. But I can’t take him seriously when he cries. I need him to be infinitely more chill than SRJ is being right now.
6) Ah, Arjun swearing at the Kurus. A+ 10/10.
7) Oh my fucking god, Subhadra’s opening line to Arjun: how could you let this happen? I expect nothing less from her.
8) Madhav is back now, after chilling in his war. He’s still in a self-driven chariot.
9) Wow, he’s so pissed at the Pandavas and rightfully so.
10) Draupadi telling Krishna that she’s become impure. And anyone who comes near her would also become impure. No. NO. Every woman in the world knows this feeling.
11) Okay, first of all, Krishna, you moonlighting feminist, the first thing you should tell Draupadi is that she has not become malin because of what Duryodhana and Dushasan did. This is on them, not on her. I cannot but compare StarBharat with BR Chopra Mahabharat, the comparisons come very easily to me. And the truth is, they just did some things better.
12) Draupadi’s now fallen at his feet. Krishna is just like, Lord give me strength.
13) This scene is important because I feel like for once Krishna is putting his grand plans on hold for one second to give Draupadi back her peace of mind. Because first and foremost, the Lord is kind to those who follow him.
14) It’s so nice that StarBharat has shown this sort of sisterly solidarity between Draupadi and Subhadra, which is so important.
15) Draupadi is not even remotely impressed by Yudhishthira’s theatrics.
16) Draupadi’s pratigya makes her sound like Bhishma. Intentional or unintentional.
17) I cannot imagine Subhadra watching idly by as the Pandavas and Draupadi walk to the forest. I’m sure she put up a fight against her brothers to be allowed to go.
18) Speaking of, where is Balaram in all of this? His cousins are heading for vanvas and he is still chilling in Dwarka? Unrealistic.
19) Oh nice, Abhimanyu hasn’t even been born yet but somehow Krishna has managed to name him.
20) That scene where Arjun stops Subhadra from touching his feet. Some of StarBharat’s dialogueless scenes are just as touching.
21) Krishna’s glare as Shakuni enters the Indraprastha palace lmaoo.
22) A well executed scene but the watering hole scene happens only towards the end of the 12-year vanvas period.
23) This is hilarious. Yudhishthira is basically like Krishna is going to whoop my ass if I let something else happen to Panchali.
24) Oh god. Everyone loves Arjun the most. But I think Yudhishthira loves Bhim the most.
25) It’s time for Yudhishthira to meet his bio daddy!
26) Arjun doing tapasya for Shiv is my jam.
27) Bhim is such a cutie.
28) This Hanuman story is different though, right? Something to do with some lotus for Draupadi.
29) Is Hanuman a Yadav? He wears the same tilak. Or is this some Ram/Krishna connection we don’t quite know about.
30) I love Hanuman’s character! He’s so playful. And also the Hanuman Chalisa in the background score.
31) Oh so Hanuman knows that Krishna is Ram/Vishnu avatar and says he will chill on the chariot that’s being manned by God.
32) Oh no they never told us about the magic bowl Draupadi had that was gifted to her by Surya Dev which gave them unlimited food.
33) Also, do the Pandavas and Karna ever realise that they are all ‘gifts’ of Durvasa.
34) Krishna creeping in the background like some mega creep 😂
35) This is a conversation for another time but some day we need to talk about the incessant whitewashing of our gods such as Ram and Krishna in modern mythological serials. Also of Draupadi/Dhrishtadyumna/Arjun—basically anyone who’s described in canon as dark. There is some modern fetish for fair-skinned gods that just doesn’t sit right. I miss the dark-skinned Aruns and Nitishs.
36) Durvasa is still not impressed by Krishna. This man is literally god.
37) Arjun is fishing.
38) Oh nice, Indra is also here. Old gods and new.
39) Not sure whether I like this Shiv. Shiv in general I love.
40) Aaaand Jayadrath is here. Can’t wait for this guy to die in tomorrow’s BR Chopra Mahabharat episode.
41) Duryodhan low key throwing shade at Jayadrath is my jam.
42) Really, what does Dushala see in this man?
43) Kaun ho tum? Really? Draupadi doesn’t know her own brother-in-law? That seems highly unlikely.
44) Why is Arjun wasting time with all this trash talk?
45) Arjun is having a lot of second thoughts about keeping Jayadrath alive for Dushala’s sake but this is going to change very quickly during the war. Also Nakul rightfully points out that this man will give grief to Arjun later on.
46) This is by far the worst and most inaccurate map of Aryavarta to ever exist.
47) Oh no Jayadrath’s hair makeup is so not on point at this moment.
48) Mamashri Shakuni is literally fortune telling at this point and this is my jam.
49) So it’s canon that both Shakuni and Krishna are Slytherins, right? Yet they are the two most diametrically opposite Slytherins we have ever seen.
50) Also I want to see Dushala but these shows never give me what I want. When I make the Mahabharata I will make sure the women get equal and opposite screen time and character development as the men.
51) Yudhishthira is getting on my nerves.
52) This Draupadi is infinitely nicer than BR Chopra Mahabharat’s Roopa Ganguli who used to give it to her husbands every opportunity she got.
53) I also have lots of complaints. They didn’t show Dhrishtadyumna taking Draupadi’s sons home to Panchal to raise them.
54) They didn’t show Arjun chilling with his bio dad in heaven! They didn’t show Urvashi hitting on him and him rejecting her advances! Then she curses him, causing him to lose his manhood. And then she reverses the curse after Indra begs her and she limits it to lost manhood for one year of his choosing. That’s how Arjun uses the Brihannala guise for a year during agyaatvaas!
55) Shakuni training himself to think like Krishna. Looool.
56) Nakul bullying children is my jam.
57) Clearly this sattoo ke laddoo business is some sort of secret code amongst the Pandavas.
58) At least Uttar and Uttara are aptly shown as young teenagers.
59) My fav is back! Brihannala! 😍
60) Also what is this face covering nonsense by Sairindhri?! Women in the Later Vedic Age did not cover their faces or their heads behind purdah!!!
61) The Pandavas meeting together after a long time is giving me hope! This is what it’s going to be like when lockdown is over and I meet my friends 😭😭😭
62) This Keechak guy looks evil but I can’t take him seriously because his voice makes him sound like a prepubescent boy.

81) Now Duryodhan is now accusing Vidur of partiality. Again, he is not wrong. I’m so impressed by how well his character has been written. Not one word he says is incorrect.
82) Nice. Duryodhan has his father wrapped around his little finger. He knows exactly how to manipulate him so that Dhritarashtra rises to the bait.
83) After all these centuries Bhishma realises that Shakuni is after the destruction of Hastinapur.
84) Shakuni is admitting now that all of this is revenge for Gandhari. Oh man. Do you think Bhishma knew that the Mahabharat was the result of his poorly executed actions (intentional or otherwise)?
85) King Virat is so smart. I like him. I’m going to be so sad when he dies.
86) Brihannala is going to stay behind. Great. It’s so interesting to see this story in retrospect (which is how it’s told to Janamajeya and Vajra) in the first place.
87) I like Virat with open hair.
88) What the hell is this? I cannot be attracted to Pitamaha Bhishma and Mama Shakuni with their open hair and battle armour?! Adharm!
89) Oh what a cool sundial!
90) I’m glad they showed Uttar as nothing more than a teenager.

100) Karna is here to trash talk as per usual. Oh god both these men are useless. Fight no instead of talking so much.
101) Oh man, the charioteer’s son has been thrown from his chariot but not before taking a shot at Arjun.
102) Ah Karna’s divine armour makes an appearance!
103) Oh shit, this just got real! They’re calling on divine weapons!
104) Bhishma steps in. Of course.

106) Arjun crying that if he is responsible for Bhishma’s death, it will be hell on earth for him. Oh, Arjun. You must still suffer, a lot.
107) Arjun’s threat, that all the Pandavas will come to avenge Draupadi’s insult. Yes. 100%. I hope in this yug even if men are not punished for their crimes against women on earth, they will suffer forever in hell for their misdeeds.
