i always love your music taste so, 5 songs youve had on repeat lately that make you think of chryzure + chrysijacks? also, if they were each a pair of unlikely animal friends (ie, a pig and a monkey lol) which ones would they be? def feeling rabbit and cat for chryzure.

this question is a very self-indulgent one cus ive been going thru a huge superhero phase but, if they were superheroes which ones would they be? this could either be made-up or existing superheroes-- personally, i think chrysi would be an AMAZING black cat/felicia hardy, she has the white hair and the dark aesthetic to match it :3 i def think azure would be a mutant/x-men (no particular reason, it just seems to match him?) and jacks... well, jacks is just giving me deadpool energy. slutty antihero? i think yes. it'd be cool to know what kind of superhero abilities youd assign to them tho :33

happy wincest wednesday scorp!

what's the fic that converted you to wincest? not necessarily the first you remember reading, but the first that impressed you and stayed with you all these years?

I am gonna talk about the first fic I read, because if we're talking about converting me to wincest, I gotta start with the first because I never considered wincest as a possibility until I stumbled upon my first wincest fic (keep in mind, I was 13-14 at the time). I specifically remember thinking that I thought Sam/Dean had a buddy cop dynamic but they're brothers, so you can't ship them, and then I clicked on an Angel The Series/SPN Crossover fic (fun fact: SPN was the show I used to replace Angel, because after the finale for ATS aired, they showed a little trailer for SPN coming next fall, and I decided to watch it because of that trailer), that had Sam/Dean as vampires and also incest and I was SHOCKED. I wasn't offended by it but I didn't realize that people would go there!

After that, I'm not sure....I don't think I sought out fic but sometime around Dead Man's Blood, people were writing more Sam/Dean fics and I was more aware that there was a group of fans that really shipped them? And I wasn't ~into it but I also was curious about it. I didn't really like gen or any other ships so I started poking around at the fics to see what they were doing.

I remember one fic that sticks out at me that I read after Devil's Trap but before season 2, where Sam/Dean recover from the car accident and got together. I don't remember the name or much of what happened in it, honestly, except for Dean got a Camaro (which is BLASPHAMY now but I don't think people realized just how much the Impala meant at the time) but somehow it sold me on wincest, lol. I was like "aww. I like this. Maybe I'll read more." I remember I was very into flipmontigirl, who wrote one of my favorite Sam/Dean get together while Sam is still grieving Jess. I think it was called Fishing Through the City Phonelines? Unfortunately they've privated their fic and I can't find it anywhere. They wrote a lot of in second person POV which really worked for me but not for a lot of other people.

With that in mind, I'm going to rec a few fics that I read in between the s1 and s2 hiatus that I do remember.

on the banks of the tiber - A Sam/Dean werewolf AU that heavily influenced my characterization of Sam. It's set near the end of season one and it's not actually incest, it's gen, but I guess today it'd be called weirdcest, or gencest. It has a lot of vibes and it felt very shippy despite not kissing. It's what I want for Sam/Dean, basically.

and we are here as on a darkling plain - Very early season one fic where Sam gets demon powers and Dean gets angel powers. It gives Good Omen vibes, I think it has more in common with that than the show but I thought it was hilarious and delightful. It's very FUN, which was what my 14 year old brain wanted for wincest but I enjoyed most of what this author has written and I wouldn't have gone on to explore more wincest fic if I didn't read stuff like this.

Transmutation - Sam/Dean/Jess. This is messy and I really love the messiness of all parties involved. Jess survives but gets half her face burned off and insists on going with Sam and Dean to hunt the YED. Sam copes badly. I love her characterization and I know you asked for wincest but it was absolutely one of the very first few fics I read in this fandom that really worked for me.

Conversations Over a Front Seat - This is a very typical fic, insofar that I don't think it's anything new to anyone now, but it's Sam and Dean, in the Impala, trading stories, secrets, jokes, fantasies, nd eventually confessing incest feelings. It's one of the very first fics I read that made me go "yeah okay, I guess they have feelings for each other, I mean who blame them?" I loved reading them coming to terms with their incestous feelings and struggling with them at the time.

Factum Amoris - One of the very first fuck or die fics I've read. In this one, Sam/Dean get trapped in a haunted house and the only way they can escape is with ~an act of love, which Sam determines actually means sex. Dean doesn't get why he is trapped, because he's no virgin but Sam figures out it means he's never had sex with someone he loves. It sounds tropey but I thought it highlighted the emotions between them pretty well. I remember reading this and being somewhat emotionally undone by the fact that the only person Dean loves this much is brother and my heart just sort of breaking.

devil's tips his hat to me - I swore I reread this earlier this year on LJ, but it was deleted. Thank god for sinfuldesires archives on AO3, though. This is Sam/Dean vampire AU where Sam becomes a vampire in late season one, and Dean copes. This was a fic that when I first read, I thought it was horrific and it made me feel sad but also sick and also kinda fucked up (I was 14 at the time; if I read this for the first time today as an adult, I wouldn't feel this way, but I do think it's a bit of a horror story). It stuck with me, though, and I kept rereading it. There was a lot I admired about it, the prose, the downward spiral of it all, the style choices and atmosphere. It enshews quotations entirely, which worked for me, but it won't work for everyone else. It made the dialogue hit different, though, in a way I can't fully describe. It feels almost dream like. I think it was massively influential for me, directly inspired large chunks of his shoulders blot out the stars so...I am very sad it's gone from LJ.

I didn't mean to rec so many fics but I guess I was thinking of all the fics that sort of stuck with me when I was getting into wincest. Not the most defining ones, or the most popular ones but the ones I found while I was trying to search for stuff to read and really worked for me and helped convince me of the ship, tbh.

There's other stuff. I remember reading a ton of weecest fics but one of them (Things My Brother Taught Me), I can't seem to find anymore, and another one I forgot the name of. If anyone remembers the Television Without Pity boards, I used to read the SPN recaps, then reading the forums there. They had their own little subsection for discussing specifically, which eventually got DELETED sometime around season two. I guess it got too freaky, since TWOP was pretty mainstream. I remember I first read the Flowers in the Attic comparison there. Another thing that really influenced me was an SPN podcast I started listening to, EVP. They'd read several fics out loud and it was great for finding recs. I used to listen to it before falling asleep. It was a really great and fun resource to have.

Thinking about some random AU where Robin is a werewolf (at your request <3) and of course...

She hasn't told a soul about it because who would risk being around her then? When she asks Chrissy out, it is amazing! They're both happy and her girlfriend is so cute and Steve can't tease her for having no bitches anymore. The only problem is they started dating right after a full moon, and Robin's had a whole month to tell her... but she hasn't. Every time she curls up on Chrissy's lap, intent on telling her, the softness of it all stops Robin dead in her tracks– Chrissy's fingers drifting through her hair, a quilt wrapped around the both of them, music drifting on the air from the crackly stereo under Robin's desk. Every night, she promises herself that tonight is the night she tells Chrissy. She'll break the news after their ice cream date. She'll break the news after the movie ends. She'll break the news in time.

But in typical fashion, Robin waits until the moon is almost there, just a sliver away from full. Chrissy's hands are as warm in hers as they always are, but it doesn't distract her from the way her stomach is tying itself into the Eldredge knot she had to learn back in Girl Scouts. When the words finally come out, Robin more than fully expects Chrissy to rip her hands from hers, bolt down the stairs and out the front door to never return. But instead, she just smiles.

"Is that what you meant when you said you were a dog person on our first date?" she asks through barely-concealed giggles. Robin blinks for a moment. A pun that shitty has her name written all over it, and she can't help the smile that creeps onto her face.

"So, you're not like... ready to throw holy water in my face or stake me, or anything?"

Chrissy giggles again, kissing her on the cheek. There's a little pink lipstick mark left over Robin's freckles. "That's vampires, angel." She tilts her head for a moment. "Can I put bows in your hair when you change? Coconut never lets me, but it'd be so cute!"

Never in her life has Robin ever been so goddamn confused. "You know I'm a super scary creature of the night, right? Like... you do know what a werewolf is... don't you?"

Chrissy just nods, giving her hands a little squeeze. "You're not remotely scary, you know that right? I know you, and you couldn't scare me if you tried, babe. And, at least now I know why you can't stand walking past that one house on Teal with all the cats," she adds with another light laugh. Robin's face goes red, but she can't help the way her whole body feels just a little lighter. If she'd known telling Chrissy would've been this easy, she'd have done it sooner, and spent less time angsting herself to death over made-up break-up scenarios.

The next night, the full moon, is spent on Robin's bed. Chrissy spends most of the night putting the stray fluff on Robin's head up into awkward pigtails, and the rest of the night trying to keep her out of the neighbor's trash. Robin woke up from her change with her head in a fast-asleep Chrissy's lap, bows in her hair, and the biggest smile of her life wide across her face. She could get used to this.

3 Biggest self-insert OC?

definitely wes, it's not even a competition. sometimes self insert next gen au ocs for your favorite media can be something soo important to a teenager coping with untreated mental illness. but i also think i project at least a little onto every oc i make. i just think embuing the little guys that live in my head with a bit of my soul makes them more fun, sue me

5 What are some of your OCs biggest fears?

this is a hard question!! i think my ocs are consistently coping with the fear of being unlovable and alone. but also my ocs are very often super afraid of heights, which is definitely projection. wes is afraid of sharks and the ocean in general! that kid grew up near gotham harbor and you wouldn't trust large bodies of water if you'd grown up near that shit either!

6 Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?

yeah! i have shelves full of ocs that i made in a blind haze and now they sit and collect dust in the broom closet of my mind. and honestly? who knows, but probably not. a bitch can barely write fanfic, not to mention a competent original story

7 What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)

my favorite relationships are always familial!!! i fucking,,,, LOVE exploring family dynamics in fiction i'm so normal about it. it's why peisistratus has basically the same amount of interaction with his brothers as he does with telemachus in bbyhr (and i think i should get to count AT LEAST echephron as an oc because i showed that man more love that homer ever dreamed of). but!! i had a superhero oc named jaime and their relationship with their dad (xander) was really fun to mess around with! the aforementioned wes has relationships with a lot of canon characters and their relationship with dick is sooo fun to think about (good relationship dynamic to squirm to, even).

i also really like really close friendships! like the kind where two characters just exist as their entire messy selves around each other because they're so close that it doesn't matter. wes was good friends with the xander i mentioned earlier and their dynamic was Ride Or Die, but then when they fought they were absolutely brutal to each other. very sibling-like ig lol

13 Which story has the most lore?

LISTEN i also don't do lore because i'm not a nerd. but if i did lore, it'd be the story that wes comes from. it was technically a dc related universe? i think it could generously be called an au, but it got so out of hand we ended up calling it the councilverse. it had enough of its own lore to justify being a whole ass other world. there were gods and sirens that had insane and deep lore completely unrelated to dc comics. not to mention!!! all the backstory for all the characters (i could not come close to giving an exhaustive list of all the characters. by the end of it there were roughly three or four generations, and three alternate universes within this one overarching concept of the councilverse. she was,,,, messy)

17 What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips?

most common character dynamic has to be Messy Family Dynamics. from parental issues to weird estranged siblings vibes, i simply cannot be stopped. swallows in the windless field is playing up the menoetius and patroclus drama, and braved by your hearts resolve is just a love letter to daddy issues lmao. i think i'm a big fan of slowburn tropes like yearning and obliviousness. and the power of friendship? is a trope you'll have to pry from my cold dead hands

25 What’s your favourite genre to write? Is it also your favourite genre to read?

lately i've been REALLY into writing historical fiction. i've enjoyed all the research i've gotten to do for bbyhr. but i also enjoy writing fantasy stuff maybe more! fantasy is by far my favorite thing to read, but i can be picky about historical fiction stuff. i also really like reading superhero stuff, but writing it makes me nervous (i do it for myself but idk that i'd ever publish it for fear of it not being that good and also for fear of dc comics fans [source: i am one and they are scary])

26 What are your favourite books?

i mean,,, i OBVIOUSLY have an unhealthy fixation on the odyssey and the iliad. so, ya know. we are the ants is a book that had a huge impact on me when it came out, it's kinda sci-fi ish but very fun! and i do, i think technically, have to give credit to the song of achilles and circe for being as formative as they were.

i've also been reading A LOT of comics lately because i realized you can get that shit for free on the internet (pls pls pls don't ask why it took 20+ years for me to figure this out i'm just an incredibly lil guy with not a very big brain). so i've recently revisited the red hood and arsenal run that rewrote my brain chemistry as a teenager. but also favorite comics could be a whole other conversation so maybe i should stop there lmao

ahh!! i have so many. i've been listening to a LOT of phoebe bridgers and boygenius. so smoke signals and icu are probably two songs that i spend the most time listening to rn.

but also! against the kitchen floor by will wood (i can finally listen to songs OTHER than this one now, though, which is great)

Incredulous (Inscryption × Miraculous crossover)

This spawned from the idea of 'what if the main characters of inscryption were each given a miraculous?' [Except I'm indecisive so the Scrybes get two options]

Cat (Cataclysm) [Chatilly]

Is it stereotypical to give the scrybe of the dead the miraculous of destruction? Yes but I think it works well for her! Also the name comes from the Chantilly-Tiffany breed of cat.

Grimora seems to have a more aloof and carefree attitude compared to the others but knows when to get serious when the situation calls for it.

Butterfly (Akumatization) [Purple Empress]

I think of all the scrybes, Grimora would have the most to do with the theme of 'transformation'. In act 2 during her battle she changes the challenger's cards to undead ones. Plus sometimes butterflies are associated with death.

Peacock (Amokization) [P3AF0WL]

P03 doesn't seem like the type to be attune with emotions compared to it's fellow scrybes and I think that makes for a good challenge when creating and controlling Amoks.

I didn't give him the butterfly instead because I feel like P03 would prefer a more direct control over and underlings, less variables to worry about.

Mouse (Multitude) [WIR3L3SS]

Again P03 strikes me as the type to depend mainly on itself so giving it the mouse would be a more direct form of that idea. Could also allow him to talk to the uberbots face to face but don't count on it.

Snake (Second Chance) [The Serpent]

Overall Leshy was the hardest to assign a miraculous to for some reason that I can't understand. His hero names are based on the naming convention of his subordinates.

Initially I decided on giving Leshy the snake because 'ouroboros' but then I started to think about how act 1 kinda resembles a time loop he has complete control over that the player must break out of.

Ox (Resistance) [The Bovine]

Leshy just gives me 'unstoppable' vibes I guess. The ox's ability prevents the user from being affected by another's ability or attack which kinda reminds me of the starvation cards.

Goat (Genesis) [Landrace]

The Goat's weapon is a paintbrush but that's not the reason I initially chose this one for Mags. According to the miraculous wiki the Goat's ability is to create 'a mundane object that the hero must use to defeat the villain'

His precognition ability (if kept alongside the miraculous) would allow him to figure out the best tool for the job similar to that of 'lucky charm'.

Rooster (Sublimation) [Silkie]

Sublimation grants the user the ability to choose any superpower they desire. Magnificus seems like the type to try and limit himself when coming up with a power.

Ladybug (Lucky Charm) [LuckyBug]

Despite this AU sharing no storyline similarities with miraculous I still think it'd be nice to have a ladybug holder as our protagonist.

Known as the 'Lucky Carder', Luke would be most fitting for the ladybug role but I also think over the role fits well because as it fits with the actual game of inscryption; making the right moves at the right time with just a touch of randomness and fortune.

It's called Incredulous [meaning to be unwilling or unable to believe something] because I kinda thought it'd be a good way of combining both titles 👉👈

I imagine the story would go about the same way as Inscryption canon; Luke finds the ladybug miraculous after the previous holder (Kaycee) vanishes and its up to him to defeat The Serpent who's trying to collect the miraculous for some mysterious reason.

In her aspect as the Breaker of Chains, do you think the Raven Queen would fit as a patron for death domain clerics? Like obviously you'd have to switch out animate dead for a more fitting, but aside from that do you think it'd make sense? I have an idea for a cleric character who already deeply believes in the death to tyrants aspect, but couldn't think of deity that it'd make sense for, but reading the blurb about rinda made me realize the Raven Queen might be a fitting deity.

You might not even need to switch out Animate Dead, if you didn't want to--you could flavor it as consent-based. Asking permission, and the only dead who rise are ones who choose to and who the Lady consents to allow to answer your call. She is, always, all her aspects after all--worshiping her aspect as the Breaker of Chains does tend to focus pretty exclusively on uplifting the abused and helpless in life, but there's no reason they COULDN'T also call on the dead to take vengeance.

(Hell, you could work in some very OG Christmas Carol vibes--if you've never read the original novel, Marley gives Scrooge a pretty brutal explanation of what the real "hell" of his ghostly existence is. Only the living can help others; only the living have the chance to alleviate suffering. I think you wouldn't even have to homebrew anything to make a Death Domain cleric of the Breaker of Chains. There must be a lot of spirits in the Land of the Dead who either didn't, or couldn't, help others or fight back against oppression in life. You could flavor Animate Dead as calling to those spirits and giving them a chance to do so.)

Honestly, my approach is--SHOCKING, I KNOW--generally descriptive rather than prescriptive in general. I had the hilarious realization last night that Atri, if I ever get the chance to play her properly, would most appropriately work as a Life Domain cleric of the Raven Queen. Ironic, right?

(Rinda is a paladin of Bahamut, who rather warmly approves of her general, affable mindset of "if you're the god I think you are, you won't ask me to do anything unethical, and if you're not the god I think you are, then the magic powers were nice while they lasted but I can do just as much good without them and keep my soul in the process". Atri has a much closer, more devout and traditionally worshipful relationship with her deity. Essentially--Bahamut is Rinda's boss. The Raven Queen is Atri's goddess. It's really interesting to explore for both of them!)

What I mean by descriptive over prescriptive, in this case, is that I think it's possible for a character to serve most (if not any) deity from the perspective of most (if not any) domain. It's all about flavor and roleplaying. You want to play a Forge Domain cleric of Melora? I think that's possible--you just have to figure out why. (Offhand: If I wanted to play that combination, I'd probably give my character a backstory of being like, a charcoal-burner as an early career--living deep in the woods, understanding the connection between fire and life, living in large part off her own skills and needing to be able to build anything she needed to survive. Thus, an intrinsic connection this character feels between "closeness to and respect for the power of nature" and "the power of the forge".)

I think the question would be, what is YOUR character's relationship with their deity? What about that deity earned their loyalty? And how do they express that loyalty--like, what do they DO in the name of their god(dess), and how would those actions connect to the deity in question?

In my experience, one of the most useful exercises you can do in this scenario is to run a bunch of what-ifs, even and perhaps especially for options you're pretty sure you're not gonna take.

For example: You want to write a Star Trek AU of your cast of characters. Rather than going with your first instinct ("this character's the protagonist, so obviously she's the captain, and this one's the Smart Guy so he's the science officer"), take each character one by one and go "Okay, how would things work if she was the captain? Is she well suited for it? What about if she was the science officer instead? What would that say about the setting or the themes? Or what if she was the chief engineer? How would that impact the plot? Does it work for her character?"

Even if you know she'd work best as the captain, and you end up making her the captain anyway, it's worth it to do those what-ifs because often, you realize that actually, with her canon personality and interests and skills, she'd work WAY better as chief of security--or, at the very least, you've done a LOT more in-depth work and you can articulate WHY she's a great captain, and be better able to emphasize those qualities in your writing.

So, my advice would be: Take this cleric, sit down with the list of deities your campaign is using (or just, like, a list of deities, if you're adding a new kid to your pile of unused D&D concepts like the rest of us) and start running through options, even ones you're not planning to use. You can write some of them off--for example, you can just say I Don't Want To Play A Cleric Of Fucking Asmodeus, Actually. But turn over what it would look like to be a Death Domain cleric of, say, Melora, or Pelor, or Bahamut!

What would it say about your character? What kind of relationship would they have with their god, do you think? Would it work at all? What would you need to do to MAKE it work? Would that be interesting or compelling to play?

Trust me--when you find the one that fits, you'll know. It'll click into place, and the contradiction will stop feeling like a contradiction--suddenly, it just makes sense, and it feels ridiculous that you could ever have failed to see how those two aspects of the character intrinsically fit together.

Gives me big Blood/Hope vibes. Blood because a lot of the conflict of the dream smp connected to someone breaking his trust or harming the things he cares about, Hope because a lot of the plot of the dream smp stems from Tommy starting shit based on his ideals and what he thinks is right.

bbh contacts him once and tommy keeps cursing until he disconnects from frustration rip

no i haven’t done their sprites yet bc it would take so much time and i’m not even sure if people wanna see more of this au skjdkdsakdfkl,, but i have Design Ideas.

events of the dsmp revolution are just a FLARP session drawing parallels to how the homestuck trolls had a FLARP session that spoiler alert: destroyed friendships. dtrio, eret, will are involved. eret betrays will's faction and wilbur's still Bitter over that.

on the context of alternia (highbloods and lowbloods) lmanburg and dreamsmp have their roles SWAPPED. the emancipation theme thing is completely gone since highbloods are in more power than the lowbloods (the dream team) .

wilbur made a faction called l’manburg because he wants a place where he and his fellow highbloods could make drugs vibe.they take a piece of land that was owned by the dream team. in normal circumstances, they shouldve stood down because lowbloods aren't supposed to start shit with highbloods (especially a group of highbloods that has the alternian heir among them) but dream turned it into an activism thing about lowblood rights. the story plays as close as possible without tommy or tubbo in it (which is pretty hard ik but this is the best can do).

like in the dreamsmp revolution, dream kinda let wilbur do what he wants but this time he has more reason to because he’s in a lower caste. dream really only fought back when wilbur announced that he’d be building lmanburg on their land and calling it theirs.

eret betrays wilbur by supporting the lowbloods and wilbur and co. technically won but only because he finally called the drones in, as a reference to how lmanburg absolutely got crushed by the dream team in the smp but technically won. l’manburg keeps the piece of land and the dream team scatter away to find a new home.

wilbur soot's a fuschia because a) he's in a position that has a lot of power, b) yknow how he wrote a song about squids and his thing with sally… yeah.

eret's a violet because nobility!! dream looks down on him because he's ambivalent on fighting for lowblood rights when he's in a power to do so "you just sit there, and you look pretty that's it"

also like eridan he has a minor aesthetic mutation (herobrine eyes) that won't classify him as a mutant.

jschlatt is purple because it makes sense thematically because of the gamzee parallels (a. substance abuse b. if you know what happens in act 6, you know this already but spoiler alert, he ruins the main protagonists' lives) also he's a funnyman he deserves the clown caste

quackity's a teal because he’s a law student. moving on--

ok but for real it also makes sense thematically because he's the one who wrote the thing that tricked schlatt into agreeing also he gets manipulated by schlatt which also draws parallels to certain events in the comic

skeppy and bbh are BEST FRIENDS despite being highblood and lowblood respectively. initially, skeppy just wanted to bother bbh but they grew to be good friends in time. y’know like how they actually becane friends :D

philza minecraft is a jade because dad friend. also works thematically, because spoiler alert he gets to murder a seadweller for going batshit crazy.

he also god tiers early. he dies fighting his quick undead denizen (haha baby zombie) but the consorts of his land carry him to his quest bed because he’s treated them all so well.

dream was initially going to be another caste but then i realized that means i have to make his hoodie something other than green which is unacceptable so its a good thing the fact that he's a lime works out

dream was the one who thought of playing sgrub in the first place- initially only planned to have gogy, sap, and bbh in the session but then realized that they four won't be enough so he invited more into his session

he’s also the first to go godtier ez clap blind speedrun not sure what classpect tho

the only reason why dream avoided being culled at birth for being a limeblood is because his rng is That Good. he quickly picked up the fact that he’s not supposed to exist and masqueraded as an oliveblood and kept mostly to himself to avoid suspicion.

george is still colorblind but he has lazer eyes along with it instead. dream lives with him in the same hive since being a mutant means dream doesn’t get a lusus of his own (dnf fans getcha juice “and they were roommates”)

despite living in the same hive, he never really figures out that dream is a limeblood. possibly because a) he’s colorblind and when he sees dream bleeding he just sees yellow b) he’s just that fucking oblivious and it’s so valid of him.

sapnap’s a bronzeblood mainly because i know he’s the instigator of the pet war with tommy also because i associate him with the color orang in my mind so bronze it is

that’s the end of this long-ass post!! if you have other ideas PLEASE i want to hear them. i don’t know the other streamers i mentioned in here very well so if you have ideas that would be fitting to them like with classpect or lunar sway that would be GREAT.

the only thing i’m confident about in here are the kids’ lunar sways. i’m not an expert in classpects and homestuck lore so there’s that too!! i just wanted to make this post because adhd means that the idea wouldn’t shut up until i finished it. This initially started as a single shitpost edit of tommyinnit talksprite but then the hiveswap 2 trailer came out and that means i have to combine my two hyperfixations.

also i have ideas about potential quadrants but idk how much of that is breaking some streamers’ boundaries about shipping (even the non romantic quads such as kismesistude, morallegiance and auspisticism) so i decided not to include it.

You had thomastiar royalty au right?? Alright don't kill me but while I would never write it I just find it so amusing to create and define a story with people! It's plainly a base idea. I wanted to share it because I think it could be so much fun to create an au with someone. And also because if not now I would never. So *gives you my hand to grab* would you like to create an au with me?

Alastair is a fallen prince. His family lost their crown to a cruel nearby kingdom and now all he's left with a noble title without nobility, living in chains in a palace he once used to roam freely. The stories on his drunken father had spread across the continent, of his mother's valuable state, and his... preferences. Their family is in ruins. He keeps blaming himself. Somehow, he knows, he has to get free. And maybe he has an idea.

The only person almost unfazed by those rumors was his beloved sister, who wants to rise the Carstairs royal family back to the throne and rescue her beloved father and return what is hers. Cordelia always was shielded in the royal palace - and her only friend is from a close another kingdom, princess Lucie Herondale - despite her skill at weapons. She was the wielder of the famous royal family, Cortana, until the pouncebuys took over her kingdom in spells and lies, turning people against them. Little does she know, some of those lies are the truth to its whole.

Thomas, the third child of the Lightwood royal lineage, has a secret. After losing his sister and crown princess the year before, he was sent to recover in his friend's kingdom. Accompanied with his close friends by his sides, in a confusing chain of events he might just find himself in a revolution against something greater than himself. He never thought it'd be the secret he kept so many years to pave the way to a new possible sunrise, with new people to share it with.

Hi! So if I am being 100% honest I do not think I was the one who had a thomastair royalty au, I have thought about it but don't recall ever posting it! I may have posted it without knowing but I don't think I did! Truly who knows but this is so well thought out I am so in for developing it further

So I totally adore the idea of Alastair being a fallen prince, now chained to a kingdom that used to be his. Being honest that gives me vibes of the ash princess (the entire prologue is just the protagonist describing how she feels being trapped within her home) and I love that for this au. So basically my question here would be how would the Carstairs living conditions develop

Cause I'm thinking from how you are describing it it'd be cool if the Carstairs were being still kept at the Castle maybe

Here me out

So Elias is the king of the Carstairs lands after the previous royal family (Jonas family) dies in a tragic attack, and a mage called the magister takes over. The crowned prince Elias is still out hunting the supposed demon that killed the family, and the kings youngest Jem manages to be escaped my some of the villagers in hopes of still having a heir once his grown. Jem grows in a neighboring village thought he is an extremely ill child, there he means a runaway boy from another royal family, Will, whos ran away because he is cursed.

Plot happens turns out the same mage was taking over wills kingdom by using benedict lightwood and thus the lightwood kingdom for his own uses. Gideon betrays his father and when he dies is crowned king, and when the entire tid team beats the mage like everyone's freed they all go back to their own kingdoms and live happy

But Jem was at the late stages of his illness, and to the world he dies (Not really he just left because he found a cure and needed to leave to be one with the magic of the world to get it his not dead and Tessa and will still see him often only his dead to the world)

So through all this when Elias comes back from killing the demon is crowned king of the Carstairs lands

He marries a woman from far of land and produces two heirs Alastair and Cordelia

Just the fact he married someone who isn't native to their lands already starts the general distrust of Elias, and the royal family

The thing is with the years Elias gets more attached to the bottle than looking out for his kingdom, or his family

They try to pretend everything's alright when in reality it wasn't and the crowned prince, Alastair, really has been taking care of everything ever since he could remeber

He's been running the kingdom without everyone's knowledge and he's exhausted. But he loves his people and family enough to even so take on the burden every day

When the pouncebyes start to show signs of attack, he begs his father to put up defense. Elias refuses, not even paying attention to his propositions. Even with all of Alastair's authority he cant outrank the king. So he tries to send troupes to borders and makes excuses, get civilians away from the side lines as much as he can because Elias doesn't do anything

The pouncebyes attack, and to this day Alastair still blames himself for not doing more

There are less casualties thanks to his doings, the damage is low for that of an invation, but they are invated, and they take over their lands. Elias is arrested for refusing to give up the kingdom, kept in jail as an exploit of war

The rest of the Carstairs are able to run away from the castles before they are taken and arrested. Cordelia continues to push on how to restore his fathers name, and Alastair isn't sure how to break it to her that most the rumors are true. But Alastair has a plan, and he will be getting his kingdom back

To the other kingdoms, the attack of the Carstairs is being advertised as a treaty between the two kingdoms. The lightwoods are doubtful of such, and prince Thomas looking to get away from the endless mourning for his sister agrees to go to their lands to get word of what is truly going own. He and his friends embark on a journey south (their kingdom is in the south in my mind now dhhaibwjbian)

The last thing he plans is to find himself held at knife point by the crowned prince of the Carstairs kingdom

(Ok so Alastair thought Thomas and co arriving near his kingdom were reinforcements being brought in by the pouncebyes in disguise so he was gonna take them and use them as blackmail to the crown by the rebellion hes forming)

Description : you'd been bingewatching too many fancams, it made you forget that you could actually watch a live concert in your very own bedroom.

A yawn escaped you as you hit the replay button once again for the umpteenth time in a row. You'd been bingewatching fancams from Day6's concerts since the moment you got off from work. You even lost track of time of how long you'd been at it. It was a guilty pleasure.

Listening to bands performing live hit differently. The raw music they produced with their instruments could send a wave of pure satisfaction coursing through anyone's veins. Their vocals? Phenomenal. Their energy? Crazy. That was the beauty of bands.

Day6, on the other hand, was on a whole different level of bands being diverse in their music styles. It was hard to even name a bad song from their entire discography. They were that amazing.

You were planning on staying up till you fall asleep but someone had other plans and that, was to barge into your room at 11pm unannounced.

You groaned. He was lucky you were in love with him.

Refusing to leave the comfort of your warm blanket that was hugging your entire being, you twirled around in your spinny chair to face him instead of moving from your comfy spot.

“Are you stalking us?”, he wiggled his eyebrows in your direction once he glimpsed at your laptop.

“You wish”, you rolled your eyes.

As you were about to turn your chair back around to continue watching more fancams, you felt your chair being tugged from behind. You were lazy to resist it, so you just let yourself slide backwards until you finally fell into his embrace.

Warmth crept all over your cheeks as he placed his on your shoulder, adjusting a bit so that the both of you were comfortable. For obvious reasons, your heart won't stop pounding against your chest as a soft fuzzy feeling enveloped it. You could imagine his smug face smiling like a fool behind you. He was enjoying this too much.

Rubbing your tired eyes, you rested against him. Moments like this were the most relaxing. That was until your lovely boyfriend decided to abruptly pull away without any kind warning, leaving you to jerk your head back. The nerve of him.

You glared at him menacingly but his only response was to squish your cheeks to make you look like an angry fish.

“Why do you even watch fancams when you can have a whole one-man concert in your bedroom right now?”, he cooed at you as he squished your cheeks. He stopped momentarily however, just so that he could strike a stupid pose before returning to what he was doing.

“Because..”, you lowered his hands from your face, “..I've never seen you guys live”. You pouted your lips at him. You really wanted to experience the concert vibes.

“Work is a pain in the butt but I need it”, your voice softening as you looked into his eyes. You were always a bit disheartened whenever concert dates were announced because you knew you didn't have a chance to go to any one of them even if you wanted to.

Work had always been the main issue that stopped you from attending Day6's concerts. Even during holidays, you sometimes had to work overtime.

This night was one of the rare times when you could finally focus on something else other than work. Hence, you decided to dedicate your free time to watching your boyfriend and his friends killing it on stages in front of their fans. You didn't want to ever miss out on memories that made Jae happy.

Whatever you said probably struck something in him because he immediately moved to cup your face in his palms and bring it closer to his own face. You felt your breath hitched a little. Was the fan broken? Because the whole room suddenly felt like a sauna. It'd been 2 solid years since Jae and you called it official, of course with the blessings of Papa JYP, Day6, and even MyDays. Yet for some reason, he still managed to make you feel like a lovesick fool with his gentle gestures.

Looking at you with dead serious eyes, he caressed your face lovingly and said a few things that made you emotional.

“First of all, you don't know how much I really appreciate you supporting us..and me”, his voice came out husky as he lowered his voice into a whisper.

“Second of all, I love you so don't ever push yourself too far okay?”

“It hurts me to see you overwork yourself”, his forehead now resting on yours.

You chuckled under your breath, “Says the dude who's in a band”.

He flashed you a cheeky smile at your remark as the two of you finally pulled away from each other.

“Third of all, you could always facetime me during concerts Y/N”

“I'm sure our fans wouldn't mind it, we're a big ol' family after all”, seeing him giving you a reassuring smile and an affectionate rub on your arm, your heart continuously skipped. This was why you fell for him. He could be this annoyingly, goofy Jae whenever he wanted to but, at the same time, he could also be this serious Jae who cared very much for others.

After giving you one last peck on your head, he stood up to take something that was resting by the door. Twirling gracefully, he had his electric guitar slung across him. Oh no, he was about to do a one-man concert. In your bedroom. At midnight. You facepalmed at his dumb logic.

Before he could play any chords, you were already pushing him out of your apartment. As much as he protested, you didn't listen. You weren't keen on making any of your neighbours hate you.

“Let me sing one song for you, I promise it'll sound better than that stupid fancam”, he begged you but you simply ignored his dramatic pleas.

“You do realise you're dissing yourself, right?”

“Gimme one chance-”

“Goodbye, Jae”

“But-”

“Love you too”

A..nd he was gone. Once the door had closed on Jae, you leaned back and slid down to the floor, trying hard to ignore the giddy feeling that was bubbling inside you. Fanning your face, you stood up and headed back to your room. This time, you thought that it was finally time for you to sleep. With that, the last thing you saw before your eyelids started to droop was the chicken-shaped night light that Jae had bought for you on a whim. Typical Jae.

day 8!!! feeling really festive today, i'm sitting in a coffee shop writing this which is fun!!

barnes and nobles!! omg that's so cool, i've always always wanted to work in a bookshop, but i think i romanticised it a lot. i'd say you're dead on your feet after your shifts! i find helping customers can either be really sweet or plain nasty... holiday hours are the worst, we're staying open until half ten now, which means i'll get home at 11 :((( it's so late

reading in the car is the best, i used to be able to do it but now i find i get the tiniest bit queasy sometimes but not on buses!! headphones are such a neccessity with my fam, no one really likes my music. that's cool that your dad listens to old music tho, do you like any of it?

i try so hard not to think about the ariana grande concert, it's terrifying so i can definitely see why you'd be anxious. the astroworld thing terrified me, i couldn't sleep after seeing one of the videos (it popped up on my tiktok without a tw and it was horrible). my mam is really hollistic and believes in guardian angels so it's rubbed off on me a bit and i like to trust i'm protected all the time, it's small but it helps. i was looking at olivia rodrigo tickets too!! i really want to bring my younger sister to it, i told her my plan yesterday and she started crying bc she was so happy <333

i think when you like something that much it becomes so personal to talk to someone about it, i think unless they understand it, there's always a fear they'll mock it... i regret letting my family know in some ways but then again, i literally can't not talk about it especially when something big is happening in the fandom!

how did you find school? (high school, i think, i call it secondary school, from like 14-18 ish) i didn't mind it, i liked watching people interact more than getting involved, so i was never faced with the whole weed or alcohol or boys obsession... i always told myself i do it all in college tbh, now i'm in second yr and still haven't "gone mad"

yeah, it's a lot more work than i thought it'd be but i don't hate it. i like the people i work with (expect one manager) and it's not hard. same, we close at 10, i'll probably leave around 10:30 after cleaning up, then i won't get home til 11 because of the holiday hours.

uh,, some of it. other songs i'm just like 'what is this' lol. it really just depends on the song and how it sounds.

yeah, i can't watch the astroworld videos they make me so sad and it's so horrible to even think about i can't imagine what the families of those people are going through. The date for olivia's concert that is close to me is the around the time i'm supposed to go out of town for a wedding so idk if i'll be able to go :( but if you and your sister get to go i hope you have fun !

high school.. i hated 9th grade (age 13/14) i wore headphones in almost every class, i didn't talk to anyone except for in two of my classes. i hardly went that year to the point that i almost didn't move on to 10th grade. then i went to school for i think the first few weeks for 10th grade then transferred to online school. i did online school for the rest of highschool. I just didn't like being there and i didn't really care for anyone i went to school with, i didn't consider any of them my real friends, just school friends who i never hung out with outside of school soo yeah lol.

also all through out school (even elementary and in college now) i was considered the 'quiet smart' one. though i was only considered smart because i was quiet. i have a hard time talking to new people, so i usually didn't speak unless someone spoke to me first.

harry potter aus are just .. sooo good i can't describe how much i love them for some reason.

so getting the piercings and the healing process i would say the normal nose piercing was sorer. but neither were so bad to the point that i was in extreme pain. there's a sweet spot in your septum, so if the piercer doesn't put the needle in the right spot, then it can definitely hurt really bad but mine was like a tiny pinch and that was it. the normal one hurt more, not sure why probably cause there is more cartilage there. but i love them both.

yeah i really miss her but it's okay i'll always love her. some shitzshus are ugly tho lol.

omg yeah i used to watch makeup tutorials and i could never do what they do. and lol yeah tears just come out like nothing when i laugh its odd but thank you haha

i am the youngest, i have eight, yes eight, sister and no brothers. it's all very confusing lol maybe i'll explain it to you when secret santas are revealed. love all them it was wild growing up with them in a small house but fun too.

i have a silver honda pilot (2008), the one with three rows of seats so she's a bit big but i'm tall so i need a big car. my grandad is a mechanic and owns car shops so he would always give my family cars if he had ones to give. the honda was in a car accident and brought to his shop, he fixed it up and gave it to me. (I googled your car bc i dont know what any car looks like by its name, so tiny lol its cute tho!)

I love dylan, i don't remember how i found her music but i never met anyone else who listens to her so thats cool. last three songs for me were burning bridges by bea miller, wish i never met you by loote, and i miss you, im sorry by gracie abrams.

i dont sing i have a horrible voice lol. i dont play instruments either. i had to play the trumpet in 8th grade but i hardly did it and hardly brought the instrument to school with me.

i am in college. i hate it. school is one of the most hated things in my life. im so behind in work and idk if i'll pass this semester. i can hardly bring myself to care but i also have a fear of failing so.. yeah. your in school right? do you know what you're going for? i don't so thats fun !
