Guys I possibly have big news. Big Aikatsu News.

I am seeing the Aikatsu 10th Story movie rerelease. Upon entering the theater I was given a card.

The card has a code on the back.

And it says.

"Details about this code will be revealed later. Please look forward to it."

I know we all kind of assume Anthy and Akio are Indian because of the brown skin and bindis (Google tells me that while it's less common, men do wear bindis sometimes), and I agree, but also. "Dios" is Spanish, "Anthy" is derived from a Greek word, "Himemiya" is Japanese (I would theorize that her name hasn't always been "Himemiya", though she does seem to have had the name "Anthy" as far back as we're allowed to see into her past), and Akio drives an American car and plays jazz (a style of music that developed in America) over the radio in said car. Also, despite bindis being a Hindu, Jain and Buddhist thing, all the religious shit the two of them have going on (the martyrdom, Akio drawing a comparison between himself and Satan, Ohtori looking like a fucked up Cathedral and Dios appearing to Utena in a church) is Pretty Christian.

I know all of this is probably just a product of the writers not having a concrete idea of where they wanted Akio and Anthy to be from other than "not here" but it implies a lot of travel, which does kind of fit with Dios' whole "trying to rescue Every Girl Ever" thing.

Where do their names come from, anyway? "Dios" sounds like it could have been a name given to him by the people he saved. We never hear hide nor hair of their parents, they're fully irrelevant even by the farthest flashback.

I'm pretty sure I remember way back when Korra was airing Nickelodeon had an official poll asking viewers which ship from the show was their favorite and that's got me wondering, if they were to poll their viewers on what their favorite ship from ANY Nicktoon is, how would ZADR rank? Cause it seems like despite how short lived it was, Invader Zim is still considered one of the top Nicktoons of all time, alongside critical darling Avatar and mega cashcow Spongebob. So I wouldn't necessarily expect it to get buried by ships from more recent shows or shows that ran for longer and had a larger viewer base. It's called a cult classic because its fans are extremely passionate and dedicated, and it's pretty well known that ZADR/ZADF fans are the backbone keeping it going strong through years and years of content drought. ZADR was popular enough to make it to the top 5-10 ships on Tumblr Fandometrics for a while after ETF came out, but I never paid attention to how ships like K0rrasami or H3lgaArnold did when they had content coming out and their fanbases were more active, so I don't know how ZADR compares to them.

A) cute family dynamics

B) they made an au where the show ended after season 3, and instead of focusing on characters like Ezekiel, Alejandro or Chris, easily the most interesting characters in this scenario, they focus on two barely relevant characters. (I love NoCo as much as the next guy but let’s face it those two did NOTHING.) and three characters that would’ve never existed had the show been cancelled in s3

The specific wording of the book Philza received feels… big. Like, it could be mimicking Tallulah’s artsy side or Phil’s comment on how symbolic the idea of “a cage for a cage” was, sure.

But something about it is itching the back of my brain saying “This isn’t just a misdirection. This is important.”

Unfortunately by nature of foreshadowing, we won’t know until we know

Does it surprise you that even though the HCA nominated Lizzo and Emily Swallow (and Giancarlo Esposito among the guys), they didn't nominate Katee Sackhoff? It makes me wonder if they also minded Bo-Katan outshining Din or Grogu so often, whether or not that sounds plausible.

It's probably because Katee was listed as a co-lead this season, thus she would've gone into the Lead Actress category which is much harder to score amongst the other drama series nominations.

I haven't seen this anywhere when discussing the new season so (spoilers ahead!):

Did anyone else notice that the books that Gabriel orders are a retelling of Aziraphale and Crowley's love story?

So, in order the books are: A Tale of Two Cities, The Crow Road, Pride and Prejudice and then Good Omens itself?

I'm not sure if I'm reading too much into it. Still, it almost tells the story of Aziraphale and Crowley in the past, with the books time periods showing us certain times within the series, ATTC representing the French Revolution, TCR being set in Scotland and is about death (although the actual book is set in 1990, I think), Pride and Prejudice, mainly the relevancy of this season and Austen's previous relations to the two of them, and then Good Omens, which we witness in the first season. It's unfolding their events in books, their lives that we have been privvy too.

There's also a shot of the books on that shelf that Gabriel is ordering (before he reads pride and prejudice), which I'll list here if anyone was interested (in order, and what I can make out on the screen ):

Idk, I thought it was p neat, there's probably a theory or an analysis that could be done with it but that's effort. Or it could just be a subtle nod to a particular author's favourite books. regardless, it's pretty interesting. (oh, and TCR is the book that Muriel is reading at the end of Ep 6)
