#with all the kate middleton conspiracies and detective work with photo analysis and media etc.#it just reminds me deeper how so much that occurred during 1D and especially with BG #could’ve only happened in the timeframe it happened in #when twitter and social media as a whole wasn’t as engaging and analytical as it is now #like there’s now such a need to uncover all the lies and curtains that hollywood and the industry pulls over on the GP #and with such a trend of exposing things and people in the industry #it would be like moth to a flame #so much shit could only be pulled off because of the vacuum of the time it was set in #imagine so many things that occurred during that era and the consistent weirdness of BG (especially with photos and videos)#it would’ve been torn to pieces by twitter internet sleuths in 2.5 seconds which would bring so much of the twitter GP obsessed with pop #culture to start threads and jump down rabbit holes etc.#it’s just always fascinating to see #especially when the buzzfeed article that occurred during BG that tried and failed to highlight all the inconsistencies #was like. the peak of coverage about it #on the other hand i’m sorta glad it did happen the way it did because imagine how much would be said about louis over that entire thing #and people would be ruthless #idk just some rambles

I think ultimately my thoughts on SotO will depend on how well, if at all, anet follows through with some of their setup.

Like how shady the wizards are — if at the end this is addressed, that would be great and would retroactively improve a lot for me! But if it’s just ignored and treated like they’re 100% fine and Isgarren is 100% justified and right, I…deeply hate that.

They have the bones of a good, interesting story, I just hope they follow through with it. I hope they’re ALLOWED to follow through with it. Having the wizards be so blatantly cult-like and shady and then not addressing that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I really hope they pull the ending off decently because man I love this game.

#want to clarify I understand this is all new for anet #so some things might suffer for that at first #but it’s also like. I don’t think it’s a bad thing #to want a satisfying story for my money #idk I’m so torn on this expac #or mini expac I guess #I forgot what it’s called sjfjd #all the non story stuff is really nice and good #soto spoilers #not really but just in case

Don’t get me wrong I love Ryan Gosling’s Ken more than I love anyone else rn. I owe that character my life. I genuinely would not have lived through the last 6 months if I didn’t have that movie breathing life back into me when I was at my lowest point, he’s my number one go-to character when my flashbacks are happening and when I need support. I would genuinely have died without this guy and his dozen characters to keep me going and helping me feel safe self shipping again

But how the fuck did Ryan get nominated for an Oscar for being a supporter to Barbie while Margot Robbie whomst IS Barbie, she is EVERYTHING… did not…???? 😭😭 How did Greta Gerwig not get nominated for best director when she made history being the first and only female director to break the biggest opening at the box office????? What the fresh fuck is this

The Barbie movie would not have happened if Margot didn’t get the rights to Barbie and trust Greta 100%. Nobody believed in this movie more than Margot did, because she believed in Greta, she knew it would be a powerful film. It would not have been half the story that it is if Greta didn’t direct this movie. Greta and Margot are the reason this movie 1) exists in the first place and 2) the reason the movie is as incredible as it is. Not to mention Margot had to convince Mattel that they needed to get comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable. They were allowed to get away with SO MUCH because Margot is an artist at putting her 110% into everything she does and that includes getting Mattel to allow any of this to exist in the first place when they are so careful with Barbie.

Margot and Greta are literally everything. Ryan is JUST. KEN. THAT HAS BEEN THE ENTIRE FUCKING POINT

I didn’t realise Jurassic Park was based on a book but I’ve just finished reading it and it’s one of the best books I’ve EVER read I’m going feral I love dinosaurs
