the all-important water picture round-up

#the water the water the water! who would i be if i didnt dedicate a post to it #we spent the trip in a hotel across from the sea and the moment i stepped off the airport bus and saw it--this endless sweep of steely blue #mountains rising behind and the edge of it bleeding into the sky #i knew it was going to be the most perfect trip. and it was!#best water was the black sand beaches--both of them--i almost short-circuited. would love to say something poetic about them but that reall #is the highest compliment i could give. we had a brief break one time coming back from the southern shore tour; it was vvv dark could barel #see anything and we were starving but we had juuust enough time that michaela and i went down again to the beach outside of the pitstop #village. we were utterly alone; could barely see the sea; but i knew it was there and could hear the rush of it and it was so so cold and m #wife's hand was very warm and it was perhaps the best moment of all.#iceland trip #mine.txt
