Alright, I'm posting this again because I deleted it by mistake (istg I can use Tumblr) anddd I want to add - the title is not about Steve and reader
Everyone was siting in Wheeler's basement, asleep. Everyone except y/n. This is not how it supposed to go. Y/n supposed to sit between Robin and Max on a couch and the whole group supposed taking turns to keep an eye on her.
"Earth to Dustin. Hellooo!" Eddie kept saying on the other side of walky-talky. It was laying beside Steve so he woke up first.
"Eddie?" he asked still kind of out of this world.
"Stevie? Heyy! Listen, I know we are probably not a the best terms, but I will need some food soon. It would be nice if-" Eddie talked on the other side of Dustin's device when Steve finally looked around the room.
His eyes finally laned on the couch. On the empty space between Robin and Max. Exactly were y/n was supposed to sleep. "Not now Eddie" he said quickly. Before the guy on the other end had any chance to answer and beg him to listen, Steve was already on the stairs. Hell, he was already on the corridor, screaming her name.
"Morning, Steve. Are you okay, sweetheart?" Nancy's mom asked him. He looked around and noticed the girl he was looking for. She was sitting with her back to him and headphones on. She probably didn't even heard him. But what important, she was all fine and in one piece.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry. Everything's alright" He answered after a second as he took few deep breaths.
"I think it's so sweet of you to care for your girlfriend. But don't worry she's fine. This murder will not get her in this house." Karen said. She had no idea about anything. This murder could get her anywhere. And he couldn't call her his girlfriend.
"She's not- we broke up. In high school." He explained which gave him a little stab to the heart.
"Oh, I'm sorry" She gave him sympathetic smile.
He ignored her and sat beside y/n. "Hey."
"Hey" she answered as she took her headphones off and put it around her neck.
"You scared me" he said. He didn't sound angry, mad or upset. He sounded worried, really worried.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't sleep." She smiled a little at him "you kept blasting music in my ears, for some reason." he chucked.
"Yeah, sorry 'bout that" he said with a smile, it was making his heart so happy to finally talk with her, even joking when no one was around, just the two of them. He looked at the table and noticed a map and pencil. "What's this?" he asked.
"It's- you know, when I was there I saw some things. There was mainly this red fog but- it's may be stupid but.. also random pieces of- I don't know- a house? Then this fucking towers and- and bodies-"
"Y/n- I'm sorry you needed to see that" He said as he put his hand on her shoulder. She appreciated it.
"It's fine- I'm gonna be okay." she rescued. Not sure if she did it for him or herself. She looked over at map again. "But I saw something specific. The only thing that was actually clear. I saw window- like not just a window. Stained glass with roses. I'm just sure I've seen it somewhere. Now, I'm trying to figure out where exactly." She told him. Steve wanted to help, he was thinking for a few seconds before some idea appeared in his head.
"Can you draw this stained glass?" He asked her as he grabbed the container of crayons and piece of paper that younger Wheeler girl probably left there earlier.
"I will try my best" y/n responded and quickly started drawing. Steve was looking at her hands, he remembered how good of artist she was. As soon as she started coloring he knew this door. He looked at the map, she was too focused on drawing to noticed.
"It's there." He said as he pointed on one of the crosses she made earlier. "It's Victor Creel's house" he looked at her. This house was abandoned for years, some teenagers were making jokes that it was haunted.
"Of course it is. He is connected with Vecna, somehow" she said under her breath.
"I will wake up the rest, we are going there." Steve said as he stand up, y/n after him and soon the whole group were siting in his car without any idea where they were going.

They finally made it to the house. There were little, old playground next to it and a lot of wilted plants. It was ruin, all windows and doors boarded up, but y/n still could see a little bit of this stained glass.
"Is it the house you saw there?" Nancy asked from the back of the car. Y/n was sitting on a passenger seat next to Steve.
"I mean- I guess? The door is the same. And it's make sense." She answered, not taking her eyes off ruined building.
"Alright, we will go. Robin, you will stay there with y/n" Steve ordered, surprising everyone in the car.
"Fine with me" Robin commented.
"No. Are you kidding? Why would I stay there?" Y/n asked him.
"Because it's dangerous. Especially for you. What if he looking for you? And if this place is really connected with him, he might feel you there or something. We're not risking" He explained. Bullshit. She thought.
"He might be right" Dustin said from the back seat.
"You little traitor" Y/n said under her breath. "Come on." she said and before anyone had any chance to stop her, she was out of the car on her way to the door.
"You really tried to stop her?" Max asked, looking at Steve and then Dustin as she got out of the car and went to y/n's side.
Everyone else went after them, Nancy took crowbar and soon they were taking boards off the doors, showing more and more of stained glass.
"What we are looking for in this creepy-ass house, again?" Robin asked as she was looking at Nancy. Steve came to help her.
"We don't know exactly but we know this house is important to Vecna so maybe we will find out where he is. why he's back. why he killed the Creels. And how to stop him before he comes back for y/n." Nancy explained.
"But you don't really think he is in there, do you?" Lucas asked, looking at Steve's back.
"We will find out." Max said, now nerves were getting into her.
Steve dropped last board, showing the group stained glass in all its glory. "Y/n. You sure it's what you saw?" He asked, looking at the girl. Everyone was looking at her, but she barely heard him.
Instead, she heard someone else.
"Y/n." hard, low voice said "What are you doing in here, y/n?"
"Y/n?" Steve said again, since she didn't look away of the door.
"Uh, yeah. I'm- I'm sure it's there" She said after a second.
"Alright" Steve tried to open the door "It's locked." He said, like nobody noticed "Should I knock, see if anybody's home?" he asked.
"No need" Robin said, behind everyone's back, holding a huge rock in her hand. "I found key."
It took her seconds to shatter the window and put her arm in the hole, to open the door from inside.
"Ladies first" she gestured to Steve.
"Very funny" he said sarcastically but went first anyway.
Nancy went behind him, then Dustin, Lucas and Max. Robin was last one, behind y/n since she wasn't too enthusiastic about going in there anyway. They started looking around, Lucas even tried to turn on the light.
"Looks like someone forgot to pay their electric bill." He commented.
Y/n went a little further with her flashlight. She saw it again, this old grandfather clock. "Hey, guys" She said with a lump in her throat. She didn't take her eyes off in when everybody stand around her, looking at it too. "You all see that, right?" she asked them.
"Yeah. Old clock." Dustin said.
"Yeah, you saw it in your visions, right?" Steve asked. She could just nod her head.
"This house have the answers. Somewhere." Nancy said. "Okay, everyone stay in groups. Me and Robin, upstairs."
"I will stay with Steve and y/n." Dustin said, the girls already left. There was no way he would leave his sister with this asshole all alone, after what he heard. Even though she seemed to be less upset than before. She used to act like nothing happened, so maybe now she was doing it too, right?
"Come on Dustin" Max grabbed his wrist and pulled him to one of the rooms before he had any chance to refuse.
"Max you don't understand-" Dustin said when there were just three of them. Max, Dustin and Lucas "he did something stupid and-"
"Weird 'cause since she almost got killed by Vecna she's much nicer to him" Lucas said.
"Yeah! and I don't understand why! She acted like nothing happened for so long and I tried to get them back together and she'd never told me anything!" Dustin said, frustrated.
"Dustin, what are you talking about?" Max asked and then he realized that they still didn't know about this dare. "Let them solve their shit without your help, huh?"
"I don't want her to get hurt." He said quietly.
"Steve would never hurt her." Lucas said and he was right. Somehow. Now, he wouldn't hurt her. Now, he would do anything just to keep her safe.
Meanwhile, Y/n and Steve went upstairs. Y/n had song playing on her headphones which were laying on her shoulders, music was loud enough to feel safe but also hear Steve.
"Hey, can I tell you something?" he asked quietly as they both looked around. She just hummed, to focused on looking at spiders' nets. "I know I have kinda shitty timing, but after what happened- you know in your bathroom. I don't want to argue again, but I almost lost you for lifetime. I- I don't want it to happen y/n, I fucked up, I know I did but I will do anything to fix it." He confessed.
"Steve-" y/n said quietly, she was thinking about him much more lately, about what she should do.
"No y/n- just let me-" he didn't even know what especially he wanted to said but for sure he didn't want her to interrupt him "I know I had so much time to talk to you before all of it happened and now it's much more complicated because of Vecna and Eddie is there but-" Steve said but y/n interrupted him again when she noticed that something reflected the light of her flashlight from the ventilation grille.
"What's that?" She asked, it seemed like she totally ignored Steve's confession.
She rushed over there and lifted the grate. Steve sighed and crouched down beside her. He put his hand down and raised a jar. They saw dead spider inside with net and leaves. It looked like someone long time ago made house for a small insect. There were a lot of jars like this one.
"Steve, don't move" y/n said quietly when she noticed one spider on boy's shoulder. Before she had any chance to say something more, he started shaking it off which made the jar in his hand drop and break on the floor. He grabbed y/n hand and in panic got out of this room closing the door behind them.
"Sorry" he said after a second when he realized he was, in fact, holding her hand. He let her go but maybe, or maybe not, his stomach was full of butterflies and he totally forgot about spiders, Vecna and literally the whole world.
"It's fine" she said as she looked at him, totally not feeling the same butterflies.
"What's going on there?" Nancy asked as she appeared from the other side of corridor.
"Uhh, there was a spider. Were a lot of spiders." Steve said after a second "don't go in there" he added as he pointed at the door he just closed.
"Wait, stop moving" Nancy said as she reached Steve's hair "I got it" Y/n was just standing there, awkwardly, looking anywhere but at her two friends. Who in the world didn't heard the rumors about Steve's feelings for Nancy? Of course, y/n knew there was nothing, Nancy was her friend and she would tell her, but deep down inside, even during their relationship with Steve, she was insecure about it.
"If there's a spider, you're never gonna find it till it lays eggs and the babies spill out." Robin said as she appeared behind Nancy. Y/n looked at her, grateful. Maybe it was just her or maybe the air became less heavy when there wasn't just the three of them.
"What's wrong with you?" Steve asked as he turned around. Y/n chuckled under her breath "And you?" Steve looked at her, then he heard Nancy also did that "Come on, you too?" he asked. "So you all are friends now? Awesome. I mean- It's really is- I mean I know you two were but Robin now too- I mean. You know what I mean." Steve explained, at least he tried. "We should all go out somewhere. After you know, we safe the world and stuff. You know, me, you two, Robin, wherever she went right now-"
"I'm right there!" She said as she stuck her head out from behind the wall "actually looking for something and not asking two girls at once on a date" she tested.
"It's not a date! We had just platonic feelings right there" Steve explained quickly. He pointed his finger between him and Nancy, making sure y/n got what he was talking about.
"Yep, just platonic friendship. Nothing more since freshmen year of high school." She added awkwardly, she had never thought about it but now when Steve was so desperate to show y/n he did not have any romantic feelings towards Nancy, she wanted show her that too. She always crossed her fingers for those two. "But I think it's great idea. Y/n, are you in?" Nancy asked. Right now, y/n thought about Steve and Nancy, she never told any of them how she felt about their relationship, so they never made it clear to her that this was just friendship. She felt like huge stone was lifted from her heart.
"Yeah, I think it will be nice." She answered with a little smile. Robin chuckled from her place but they all heard it. "Let's go back to looking for.. something"
"You're right." Steve said and he went to the next corridor "You're coming?" he asked as he looked at y/n, she nodded.
"So about what you said earlier, before spider attacked you," she chuckled before continuing "what did you mean about Eddie? I mean, you said it's complicated because of Vecna, yeah you for sure right with that, but Eddie part? You don't like him, do you?" She asked as she stopped walking, Steve did the same.
"I mean, I- aren't you two like, like each other?" He asked "It's not that I don't like him, he just- he is friend with Dustin and he-" y/n stopped him.
"Steve, are you jealous?" She asked him seriously.
"What? No. I'm not. Well- maybe a little" he sighed. "he came out of nowhere and now Dustin talk about him all the time and you-"
"Steve calm down. I don't like him in this way. It's just platonic" she said at the same tone as he told her about him and Nancy. "And Dustin really like him. He is happy he has someone in high school. You know, you had never experienced it but when you nerd or freak or not fit anywhere, it's nice to have a friend like you. I'm sure Dustin still like you. But you really need to talk to him." She explained, she was like that too, years ago before she met Steve, so she knew what she was talking about.
But Steve was more focused on something else. Of course, he was glad, hearing that Dustin might still consider him as a friend. But there were other words It's just platonic, his heart almost exploded.
"I- I will talk to him. I don't know how yet, but I will figure it out" He said. "Gosh, I'm sorry for that. I really thought he might- you know" take my place. he didn't said that but it was in the back of his head the whole time.
"It's fine. And don't figure it out for too long, Steve. The longer you wait, the more complicated things become." she said with a little giggle.
"Right." he said under his breath, he didn't find it funny but she was joking with him again. It's a good sign, right?
The song came to an end and Steve reached to y/n's mp3 player "Can I?" He asked, she nodded her head and looked down at his hands. "I wish we had a longer loop" he said a he withdrew the tape.
"It's almost an hour" she said. "I wonder where you get that" she looked at him.
"I have my ways" he said. He didn't even remembered. He had it for so long, somewhere in his room. He left the short version that actually saved her in his car.
"You never liked this song" she told him. Of course she remembered too, every time she wanted to play it, he always said it was cheesy and shitty.
"Well- maybe it's a good reminder of old, good times?" he said. The song started playing again "All done." he smiled at her and stuff became awkward again, when he kept looking in her eyes for a few seconds too long.
"Guys! Come here for a second!" Lucas yelled from downstairs. Y/n and Steve broke eye contact and he cleaned his throat, then they just followed his voice, his definitely not happy voice.
They looked at chandelier. It was shining. "Like the Christmas lights" Nancy said as soon as she appeared with Robin next to Max.
"The Christmas lights?" Robin asked.
"When Will was in the Upside Down, the lights come to life." She explained, really short.
"Vecna is here. Just on the other side." Dustin said. Light turned off again.
"I think he left the room." Robin said.
"Can he hear us? Or see us?" Lucas asked, looking at Max, then y/n.
"Everyone, turn off your flashlights and spread out." Nancy said and everyone did as she said.
"Y/n, stay by my side" Steve ordered, but the girl was already on her way upstairs.
"I'm not a kid, Steve." she said "I will be alright." she also added and she put her headphones on properly. Steve sighed but went other way.
After a minute or two they all heard Robin "I got him!" she yelled. Everyone from theirs side of house started making their way to her. "I had him" She said when her light turned off again. They all were standing in one of the rooms downstairs.
When Steve's flashlight shined he kept it higher. "He's moving" He started going where the light showed him, he looked behind him just for a second, everyone was going behind him. He went upstairs when his light turned off too, again. "Shit. I lost him"
"No, you didn't." Y/n said as his opened the door to attic. All the lights were on there. Just a one light was there, in fact.
"I will go first" Steve said and he did that before y/n had any chance to went there.
"Hold on, guys. What's if it's trap? Guys?" Dustin asked but everyone was already there. Even Robin and her complain about going to attic in abandoned house.
When they got there, their flashlight were flashing much brighter than it normally would. The glass in the light bulb broke. But y/n felt something more. Her head was hurting. So bad, she thought she was going to faint.
She didn't said anything, she didn't even had time. Their flashlight broke and then there were silence. Pain stopped, like it was never really there.
"We should get out of there. Now." Robin said.
"She's right. C'mon" Dustin added.
And they did, they rushed to Steve's car to drive away.

comic studio: one year in
so, wow! comic studio is officially one year old as of last week. in that year, i've learned a lot about running websites, and i feel like it'd be fun to write a post going over how i feel about it, as well as showcasing my plans for the future of the site
the original concept
as you probably already know, comic studio is the sequel to cookie comic creator, with the aim of bringing easy sprite comic making to every fandom instead of just cookie run. so, how'd that go?
cookie run is still on top
i guess i can't say i'm surprised that cookie run continues to be the most popular comic maker, especially since i now even have a community of cookie run fans outside of the comic creator - see: my youtube channel - but i will say that i expected one of two things to happen when i released the site:
(A.) the site would blow up and everybody would be talking about it (which happened in the cookie run fandom in late 2021), or
(B.) the site would flop and literally nobody would use it...
interestingly, i was wrong - for the past 7 or 8 months, comic studio has been floating in this weird in-between, where a bunch of fandoms have small, thriving comic creator communities, but almost none of them as well-known as cookie run comic studio. exceeeeeept...
alphabet lore actually gets more visitors
i'm gonna be real with you, i didn't watch alphabet lore until about a month after the studio for it blew up. i had heard about the series from various random viral tweets, but the studio was almost entirely the doing of some 16 year old british kid named Jackmoo101...
i don't know how or why it happened, but in october of 2022, the alphabet lore comic studio started getting tens of thousands of users, and at this point (as far as i can tell) is the biggest alphabet lore fan community on the internet. believe me, i checked - the amino is dead, the subreddit has like 12 active users - and yet, comic studio sees thousands of alphabet lore comics per week
interestingly, despite getting less views, cookie run comic studio is still far ahead when it comes to the amount of comics posted to the site; this is because a lot of the users of alphabet lore comic studio are under 13, so they're not actually allowed to make an account. in the future, i plan to add a Youtube Kids-style mode where users under 13 can make an account and post comics, just without features like comments and messages that could be used to harm them
what about other fandoms?
while a couple other comic studios have seen moderate success (Friday Night Funkin Comic Studio is #8 and was retweeted by a huge FNF news account when it came out; My Singing Monsters Comic Studio has captured a solid 20% of the fandom for that game; Pizza Tower Comic Studio has been slowly rising up the ranks), i'm sorta starting to notice a pattern: most fandoms that are mostly run by adults don't really see the point of comic studio. all my non-cookie run friends have said at some point "your site is cool but i don't use it because i don't have any ideas", or "meh, the danganronpa studio you made is just OK, i'd rather use photoshop." and why shouldn't they? they're old enough, they know how to work an actual good image editor... the only major benefit comic studio provides to them is easy access to sprites, which doesn't come up on google - if you want PNGs of the south park characters, you'll go to the south park wiki, not the south park comic studio. and again, i totally understand that, i just feel like that's something i should work on
the genshin impact tiktok incident
in june of last year, some random tiktok account made a video about the genshin impact comic studio that got several hundred thousand views, 50k+ likes, and a metric ton of bookmarks. thousands of genshin fans flocked to the site, and for 3 days the genshin fandom on comic studio was lively... until, all of them left at once. why? well, this goes into why i run cookie run comic studio/creator in such a specific and perfectionist manner: people care a lot about how good it feels to use something, and if you don't have both quality and quantity of sprites, they're not gonna stick around
the problem with the genshin comic studio is that there's no good assets to be found - the only official 2d art of the characters emoting are the chibi LINE sticker packs that they occasionally release, and there's only like 4 expressions for like half the characters. other than that, the only other tab is the one with expressionless cutouts of all the models - who can really tell a story with that?
so, it's not a surprise that comic studio failed in the genshin fandom at large. unlike cookie run where i was able to both provide easy access to sprites that previously weren't cut out and also provide a compelling storytelling/guide-making/question-answering/etc. platform, a lot of other fandoms just... don't have anything nearly as useful or interesting to provide. so, what can i do?
3D will change EVERYTHING

currently, there's no good one-size-fits-all solution to pose and take pictures of character models. source filmmaker/blender/etc. are way too hard to learn, mikumikudance usually requires you to go through and translate random japanese sites to download models, and vrchat requires you to get together a bunch of friends to act it out
this is where comic studio will come in (once i finish the feature): every studio will now be able to upload 3d models, hopefully in most popular formats, and have them converted to work with comic studio out of the box - creating an entirely new kind of 3D comic that has never been nearly as doable. and because there is no competition in that market, i genuinely believe that this update will someday 10x the size of comic studio - once people find out about it, everyone's gonna want to mess around with the studio for their favorite game or series, at least once - and at that point, all i gotta do is keep as many of those people around as i can
speaking of people sticking around, the other big problem with comic studio is that a lot of people just don't have ideas. especially older users just, don't know what to do with it - i'm even guilty of this, in that a majority of the update comics i used to make for cookie comic creator were ripoffs of various old, forgotten meme comics. so, what's my plan to solve this? well, i hate to say it, but...

2024 update: i no longer plan to go through with this idea. the original text is provided below, but know that i have since changed my mind
i plan to add an optional feature where you can type in a prompt for a comic, like "Write a comic with GingerBrave and Cream Unicorn Cookie where they get ice cream together" and the machine will just... do it for you
i have experimented with this in the past, and now that ChatGPT has made a lot of accessible LLMs pop up i plan to take advantage of that. with that said:
i will never involve ai-generated art, ai voices, etc. because those are inherently harmful and are not worth supporting
i won't add the feature until i can ensure that user input is NOT being used to train any models without their consent, and
i will make sure all AI-generated comics are tagged properly so that anyone who doesn't want to interact can just block it out
i personally see AI as a tool to help humans and little else, at least in its current state - and adding AI prompting to comic studio is an extension of that. it's just a way to quickly get an idea out; either to get a quick laugh out of you or your friends, or to set down a starting line for you to make your own comic out of. i think this will be a good thing if i do it right; if you have any feedback or questions, feel free to send them my way! i try to listen to everyone, even if i don't always take their suggestions

as of today, i've also finally finished the site translations into Spanish and Korean (!) i've been putting off asking for new translations until the whole site was translated so that i wouldn't have to immediately ask anyone for more later, but now that it's done i'm finally accepting help - if you know any other languages and want to see comic studio translated into them, send me a message - either on discord, or on here, or comic studio if you don't have any of that. together, i hope we can make the site accessible to everybody
closing thoughts
i still can't believe it's been a whole year already... what is my life? thank you to everyone who's supported me and my creation, and i hope to keep serving you well into the future. if you haven't seen already, the anniversary update is out now, which adds a bunch of social features that people have been requesting for a long time - tagging for comics and user-submitted sprites, comic reposting, and the ability to organize your comics into series. i hope you'll check it out!

This is from an au created by @bonkdd, but i did rob and andrew's designs bc i never saw his designs for them. i also added a lot of lore and plot stuff because i really liked the concept. in simple terms the tallies are robots that were abandoned by Marvin after he passed away so now they're falling apart n stuff without him to care for them (that's why rob hides his face). Anyways, huge thanks to Bonk for the original idea! They're a great artist, you should go check them out!

Did an embossing peice. It's the Mojo Chessmaster! I tried by best to make it as detailed as possible, and I think I did pretty alright. The neck was probably the worst part to do. Below are close-ups
the head of the guitar was a pain in the ass.
This part was also pretty tricky but it came out okay. the dials at the bottom are raised as much as I could get them to go, so I'm not worried about them. My issue here was the pickups.
I also added Flansburgh's little signature guy but i drew his hair because why not? Anyways this piece took me a good hour or so to finish, I think it'll fetch a good grade (it was for my metal design class).

it's from a tally hall fanfic/au i made back in may after my grandpa passed away. It was a great stress-reliever and I still really like how it turned out. It's about cryptids and monsters and shit. I'll post a summary on a different post because this one was mostly for the drawings. I might post a few installments of it on my ao3. It could be a weekly thing since i usually have time on fridays to write.

i've been having random thoughts about death note happening in more recent years, with social media as a widespread method of communication and identification
doxxing / finding names and pictures online is so easy right now, Light getting the power of the eyes would only really hinge on finding out L's name. the few criminals whose identity can't easily be found online would matter to him even less compared to the loss of half your years
i still think Misa would take them for the convenience and romantic appeal of immediate deathly powers (by the way. taking the eyes again steals half your life AGAIN. Light pointedly would not stop her, especially since people's internet presence would have wildly changed already)
rigidly pseudonymous identities outside of your trusted circle would become the norm in my opinion, with web extensions to hide your ID in all previous posts mentioning you, and counter extensions to show them again (popularised by pro-Kira blogs who want to engage in doxxing). i can very well see discourse around "what do you need to hide :/ I'm a publicly law abiding citizen which is why I don't care that my name is out there" as it is literally a "counter argument" in the conversation around privacy laws right now
there would be lots of forum threads on finding out how Kira kills in the same way we have massive discussions around fan theories, and the sheer amount of ideas and brainpower usually leads somewhere, but it's also gonna lead to burying less popular theories regardless of how correct they could be. L and the Task force (and then, Mello and the SPK) would have to sort through thousands of reposts of the same popular arguments
callout culture would be absolutely horrible, too. people would 100% make up fake crimes so Kira would punish someone they don't like, even though i don't think Light would take the Minoru approach of asking people for information. he doesn't trust anyone else to do it properly, but can't get proper sources at first and i'm sure innocent people would get caught in his net. i wonder how that'd reflect on Kira, if people would start to question his god-like powers because of poor media literacy or if people would turn against those who tricked Kira and "tarnished god's hands" or something
those would all be fantastic tools for L, though. fake articles published by real news sources using his influence, but with various kinds of ID available on each criminal so he can pick up which are actually relevant. a variant of his "only in Tokyo" news report but on social media, to see where Kira might have an account and follow that trail. fake profiles of real people to see if Kira would kill them instead of the Lind L Tailor murder on TV. i don't think he'd show his face nearly as quick as he did in the manga, if at all, and he'd definitely never go to uni with Light in case someone gets a picture (or he'd have to do massive damage control to remove every instance of his face posted online, with added pressure after the appearance of the second Kira). i think he'd probably only show his face to the task force or Light when his suspicions are so strong he kidnaps Light and Misa
social media would be banned from the Task Force HQ but it'd be way harder to erase their social presence, especially Aizawa (his wife posts about their family life) and Matsuda (previously very active). that would be one more reason to make them resign from the NPA sooner. reposts of old articles start to appear when people notice that a large part of the Task Force has been wiped from police records - the list of police Kira investigators could have leaked, putting further pressure on them to quit as the pro-Kira crowd massively doxxes them

I love old games, specially early to mid 2000s games. Before the release of "What Could Go Wrong", Red Vox released There She Goes, Back To School and Hazy as singles, but in the YouTube release, these songs had a little gasm MP3 file snucked into the songs, they are all normal except for that little sound, these videos used to be unlisted but nowadays are unavailable cuz YouTube made all unlisted videos private, but thanks to the people from Voxcord, links of all three songs i had saved and the Wayback Machine, we were able to recover all three songs (i'm only posting one for Tumblr, can DM me for more although i will probably upload these rarities to YouTube or Archive.org)

hi anon! sorry am quite late with this but i honestly didn’t know how to go about this ask. but am gonna try so here goes.
the set i am talking about is this one i made for the bad buddy week.
first of all, i wanted to note that this is not a gifset. these are still images and i do photo editing. which just happens to be so bc am too lazy and scared to try and figure out giffing. if you’re looking for gif tutorials, i can recommend the @/usergif blog where they post quite a few ^^ some of them have helped even me bc after you get the basics down you can kind of… morph the giffing tutorials into photo editing bc the main point is the same. but to the tutorial! or at least my attempt at such.
this post has five images and i’m not getting into every detail separately in each of them so i tried to make this tutorial into parts that have different themes! i hope this helps. i honestly have no idea what i'm doing here so feel free to ask more questions! (also sorry but my gimp is in finnish. i’ve tried my best to find the english terms tho)
I. Coloring
i’ve used four types of different coloring techniques in this set. all start with the basics: adjusting the curves by choosing colors > curves to make contrasts a bit stronger (bright parts brighter, shadowy parts darker). my initial plan for this set was to make the images darker than they were so i have also adjusted the curves accordingly (you can bring the upper part of the curve down quite a lot in this).
i don’t have a main setting or anything but i usually aim for an “eye pleasing curve”. i also usually brighten all the colors of the image by dragging up the red, green, and blue channel curves and then adjusting the colors > exposure (not brightness-contrast, do not touch that).
(i am using a random screenshot of patpran as an example in this so excuse me)
on the left i've only adjusted the main curve as seen above and on the right i've added some brightness/saturation by adjusting the blue, green, and red channels too. you can see how the colors pop a bit more. am usually quite moderate when it comes to coloring and colors in general and like subtle touches, but feel free to go wild if that’s what you like.
back to the edit itself then. the first coloring in this set is basic black and white. on gimp, i usually go with the desaturate (pienennä värikylläisyyttä) > desaturate (poista värit) > luma.
i dunno why i like luma so much as the setting but i think it has the best contrast? i like to adjust the contrast even more through exposure by dragging the brightness up a bit and then making the shadows darker and more intense. to show this in my example image:
this process applies to all the b&w images in this set which are parts of images 1, 2, and 5:
the second way of coloring happens through the gradient map (liukuvärikartta) or colorize (väritys). i like to switch between these two to see which one looks nicer. for this set, i think i used colorizing rather than the gradient map bc that’s usually easier.
to use this method, you just take the image you want, choose colors > colorize, and this colors the whole image with the color you choose. i like to usually play around with the settings to get something that looks the most natural. once again to show with my example pic:
the one on the left has a very saturated color that is quite dark. the one on the right has a lighter color with less saturation. if i wanted to adjust the colors further, i’d probably go with some colors > color balance to make final touches and to add in some subtle color variation so that the image doesn’t appear too flat to me.
in this set, i’ve only used this method in image 3 where i have made the right side part simply blue. i didn’t want too bright of a blue so the color is kind of toned down and rather light instead. the base color for its colorization i’ve chosen from one of the other images (most likely the first one).
the third way, which includes both types 3 and 4, happens with selecting certain parts of the image and then adjusting the colors outside of this area. this can be seen in images 1 and 4 but also in 3 and 5. i have merely selected pran’s face to be excluded from what my coloring affects.
i select by hand using the lasso/free select tool (bc am picky like that and hate myself). you can also use the select by color -tool or the fuzzy select (sumea valinta) if you want but they give you various results. choosing by hand has always been my safest bet bc i can control the area i’m selecting. you can try various ways and see what pleases you the most (or what you have the patience for).
in images 1 and 4 (the left side image) i’ve made my selection and then inverted it by right-clicking the image (select (valitse) > invert (käänteinen)) so i can only edit the colors around pran’s face and not affect his skin color.
after the selection is in its place, i click colors > hue-saturation (sävy-värikylläisyys) and play with the colors. you might have to do this several times bc sometimes you can only change certain color to a certain point.
on top of this, i usually use colors > color balance to kind of correct the colors bc changing individual colors separately doesn’t always look as nice. also, brighter spots are often left quite colorless so i might adjust the curves once more to drop the brightness a bit and then get more color to these parts by playing around with the color balance options.
in some cases, i use color balance first to kind of get some color(s) to pop so that it’s easier to change/affect them in hue-saturation. you learn to see this stuff as you go, just play around and try different things.
(for the pic on the left, i think i only used hue-saturation and color balance without ever selecting pran's face bc the background trees and the green in them managed to cooperate with me this time. so cheers to that.)
in images 4 (right) and 5 (left) i have once again selected pran’s face, inverted the selection, and then just used color > colorize. (in image 3 (left) i’ve selected pran’s shirt in the same way but stuck to this selection without inverting it so that i could only change the shirt’s color.)
using this way is a bit risky bc sometimes the selected area and its edges especially stand out. you gotta check how it looks and probably adjust the coloring with some color balance nonsense (be especially careful with shadowy areas while doing this. black is a safe place for an edge (i often use the hair) but if you change the dark part’s color you might be in trouble so don’t touch that). i always just hope that no one pays too much attention to certain lines that might look a bit weird.
with the colorize option you also gotta be careful not to make the colors too intense or bright and try to tone them down to match the original background color level. in image 4 (the middle one in the pic above) this was a bit of a challenge bc colorize was supposed to make the rather bright image darker but i couldn’t make it too dark bc pran’s still bright face started to look funny. but it is what it is i guess. just play around with settings and you’ll get there! exposure and curves are also your best friends.
(also, once you have some area selected, you can use “both sides” of this selection. i often do the outside coloring first, invert the selection back, and then very carefully do some adjustments inside the selection. in this set it would mean doing the main coloring first and then doing some subtle enhancing to pran’s skin color.)
II. Blending
for this edit, each image includes at least two different pictures blended together as the background of the image. mostly i use headshots of pran, tho for example image 2 has farther away shots with pran only as part of the image.
i personally like to do the coloring and blending simultaneously, usually starting with coloring both images close to what i want them to look like, and then blending them together before some final adjustments for the colors.
(also note that on gimp, everything that’s outside the picture frame aka what you can't see isn’t affected by any of your coloring, so be sure to place the pictures where you want them and stick to that placement or you might end up with unwelcome surprises!)
(i mean all this space you have outside your image. the layer edges, the yellow dotted line, can still appear here if the layer is bigger than your actual image!)
what i’ve noticed with blending (or layering) is that you just slowly start figuring out what works and what does not, what images to pick and which images can go together at all. but i am a stubborn mule when it comes to what scenes i wish to stick together, so i suffer continuously. not every result is as pretty as i hoped it would be.
but well, photo editing gives you that freedom. it gives you a lot more moving room than giffing, which i personally think is a huge plus. you can get down to the details and not think about how those details might appear once the image moves. yall making gifs are magicians who i can only bow down to. wish i had your power.
but yeah, my basic blending method is to use the other image as the “background” and then plaster the other on top of it as a screen. (i also add an all-black background under both images to help me once am actually doing the blending bc otherwise you will get holes into your images. use black to keep your actual colors! you can try with white instead to know what i mean.)
i cut the image set to normal to how i want it to appear and to the size i want it to be (in this set it’s a 1079x1079 square bc the height of the screenshots) and then bring in the other image and set it as screen.
with this, it’s easier to see how the two images might settle together. i apologize for not having the original screenshots to demonstrate this anymore but once one of the images is how you want them, you can easily drag the one set to screen around and figure out its placement. for this first image i wanted both prans to stick quite close to the center so that the colored one would kind of emerge from the black & white version’s hair. i guess you can see what i mean here:

for the actual blending i use layer masks and the gradient tool. add a layer mask to the image you wish to edit by right-clicking the layer (before doing this, make sure this layer is the same size as your image by doing this on the right-click menu of the layer:
this says “layer to image size”. this cuts everything outside the image border off of that layer or if the layer is smaller, adds see-through parts to fill it. if you don’t do this, you will get these very unfortunate lines while blending bc the gradient tool’s effect + the layer mask won’t reach outside the layer’s edges).
now choose the layer mask you created to be white (full opacity), and then choose edit layer mask (this is usually the main setting but you can check by right-clicking the layer again).
now choose the gradient tool, your colors being black and white. the shape of the gradient can be linear (lineaarinen) or radial (säteittäinen). i usually choose them depending on how much of the image i kind of need to “take away”. the linear shape is good for cases where you need half of the image to blend away or want a straighter line to your blending, radial works best for a bit more detailed blending and softer edges. i usually start with linear and then switch to radial if i feel like i need more of an abstract shape.
for the first image of the set, i think i’ve mostly used radial bc i didn't need to take away too much. in the above images, you can see the strongest blending happening in the b&w image around pran’s ear which i’ve made “disappear” so that the colored pran shows up better. technically, blending is just turning parts of your image black so that other images can show up better in those parts.
note that on gimp, you can only use the gradient tool once on a layer mask. at least this is how i’ve taken it works, anyone correct me if you know better. but bc of this, when you’re done with one gradient, right-click your layer and then choose apply layer mask (toteuta tasomaski).
this makes the gradient actually “happen”, and after this you’re editing your normal image again without the layer mask present. if you need to do more gradients, add another layer mask and edit that. repeat the cycle until you’re satisfied. (i also use the layer masks and gradient tool to make some of these images darker, especially from bright corners. this is where your total black backround comes in handy!)
in this set, my blending/layering also includes a color layer (i usually name it sävy which means hue) which in this one adds more blue to the image. it’s basically just a whole blue layer on top of the background images. it is set to screen and then blended out to look like this hazy color on top of the image.
in the image 1 this layer shows up on the left side edge (note the subtle blue). bc it’s sometimes hard to work with only one of these types of layers, i might add several. or if i want different colors then i need several of these too. i love them tbh and have been using them quite a lot in the past. i think in this set only image 4 doesn’t have a layer like this bc it was already so blue it didn’t need it.
another thing i’ve blended into the background images is the texture. images 1, 2, and 4 include textures (or at least what i like to call textures). for the first image it’s the windows/pillars, for the second one it’s the text, and for the fourth one the armor texture. these are just images added on top of the others. once again set to screen, then blended out to not cover too much of the main background. adjust the coloring to make them blend in better. i prefer making the textures black and white and then adjusting their brightness but you can try different ways.

III. Typography
my favorite thing! really, it’s just up there. i love playing with the text and different fonts. in this tutorial, i will mostly focus on the gradient map effect i use for most of the main titles in this set.
i see ppl using this technique a lot in gifs these days and tbqh, i think it also looks a bit better like that bc there’s the movement to help it stand out more. but it also works for still images if you make it right (which. am not sure i can do but i am trying my best).
first of all, create your text layer and place it where you want it to be in the image. if you want it tilted or something, do that now too. then hide the layer.
next, you need a copy of your whole background image (or at least the parts of it you wish to show up in the text). for example, in image 4 i have not included the armor texture to this bc i thought it would look too messy (the text is quite small and the smaller details won’t show up so you might need to abandon some). you can create the copy by right-clicking the layers and choosing “new from visible” (uusi näkyvästä).
this should create a new layer that has all your visible layers stacked together as one.
then you need to pick your colors. i picked from the images i’ve used bc that guarantees that the colors fit. the front color needs to be bright and the back color dark/very saturated for this to work. you can adjust the gradient these colors create on the gradient editing page on the right. i usually like to bring the middle point a bit closer to the left so that the “shadows” get a starker line but this might also just be some kind of a placebo effect. i often end up editing the result a lot with other adjustments anyway so it doesn't really matter to me.
(am using my random screenshot as an example again bc it’s easier to work with)
now choose the layer with the copy of your background and click colors > map (määritä) > gradient map (liukuvärikartta).
this should create an image that has your chosen colors looking like the bright and shadowy parts got inverted. here to show it with my example image:
on the right image i’ve then played with the contrasts using curves and exposure. this is also the only point where i might use brightness-contrast. i usually like stark contrasts bc otherwise the differences and colors won’t show up as well in the text. note that adjusting the brightness at this point might also affect the hue (see how the pink has turned more red after i did some exposure adjustments).
now go to your text layer and by right-clicking it, make a selection out of the alpha.
choose the image layer you just did the gradient map on, still with the selection active. invert the selection and then hit delete. you should now have the text as this nice colored gradient that shows details of your image in it. you can adjust the colors even more now that you know how the text looks on top of your image.
another way to do this, which i’ve tried lately, is to create the gradient map image with black and white so you can easily adjust the contrasts, and then use colorize to get the color you want. i think this works well too, tho the result is a bit different bc the other color is always black (so this doesn’t allow you to use more than one color basically). you can try both ways and see which one looks the best.
(i guess the same result you get by making the gradient map out of your chosen color and black. i just like being difficult :’D)

IV. Additional Details
bc i’m a hoe for details i usually have a ton of these in my edits. i both hate and love them. i love how they look but making them is always a pain. most of the time in making these goes to the png hunting which doesn’t seem to get any easier even if i keep finding new sites and tools for it. if you need recs for where to find pngs and other resources, here’s one list. otherwise i just recommend googling and going around the world wide web.
the details am focusing on here are the statistics in image 2 plus the sword in image 4. both are quite simple to make but require a bit of patience (and trial and error which i’ve figured is a requirement for most editing).
beginning with the statistic boxes which i agonized over while making this set. my first plan was to create them myself by just making little boxes but i started thinking those wouldn’t look nice. so in the end i just ended up downloading the standard dnd character sheet you can find online as a pdf and then cut one of the statistic boxes from there. for this, i actually used the fuzzy selection tool so that i wouldn’t have to cut everything by hand. it worked quite nicely for such small details.
the dnd font you can find online and download for free. then i’ve just colored the borders of the boxes blue rather than black (using colorize i think) and made them a bit see-through (drop the layer opacity). i recommend duplicating the box layer only after this point so you can have the same coloring for each. then add the texts inside each and done. (as a side note, make a habit out of naming your layers appropriately. it might seem like a waste of time but trust me, you will thank yourself later when you have way too many layers and zero idea which is which.)
the sword was a bit more complicated. i created the sword-in-stone image myself by finding a png pic of a sword i could use for the handle and then just. drawing the stones with the brush by using straight lines (press shift while using the brush). i quite closely followed the image used in the insp post of this set, tho i wanted the sword in mine to be a bit bigger and have the images set differently. i struggled some but i think the result looks quite cool.
this is how the border looks. your goal is to manage to draw something like this for yourself which is the easiest once you have something to use as reference (the png).
the images used in the sword i’ve colored separately using the colorize method for the colored ones and the desaturate > luma for the b&w ones. adjust them with some curves/exposure. then i brought them onto the main image, made them smaller, and fit them inside the lines i’d drawn on a separate layer. be sure you always draw things on a separate layer (or so help me god).
these lines are also easy to use for cropping the images once you need to cut them into shape. i remember doing this by following the lines i’d drawn while using the lasso/free selection tool (you get straight lines automatically with this one so very easy). it takes some time but with straight lines, it’s not too much of a hassle. then just delete the parts you don’t want showing in the image.
(be careful tho while adjusting the image inside the lines so that you don’t get any empty corners etc. or you will break the shape!)

I can't help but relate this one to the Sweet Afternoon Tea event. Maybe Vyn wants to formally invite the NXX over for a tea party after finishing the garden lounge. During a tutoring session with Marius, Vyn writes the above title onto some nice cream-colored notecards. Marius gets distracted and looks over to see what Vyn is doing, and promptly bursts out laughing.
VYN: [grumpily] What?
MARIUS: Nothing. :)
VYN: There is something you clearly find amusing.
MARIUS: Maybe. I'll just get back to my essay now. :)

[After Marius has finished writing a paragraph]
MARIUS: So is there a short name for the event?
VYN: Short name?
MARIUS: Yeah, I mean 'you've been invited for sugar honey iced tea' is kinda a mouthful, huh? Most long names get narrowed down into acronyms or initialisms.
VYN: Your point is?
MARIUS: [turning back to his essay to hide a grin] I'm just making an observation. That's all.
Anyway, I want Vyn to not figure out what Marius is talking about and send the invites anyway. MC and Artem don't notice a thing; it goes right over their heads, and they're just like, oh tea party? Cool.
But Luke is more observant. I think he's almost always in a code-cracking headspace because he's both a private detective and a secret agent, so he probably reads over the card and instantly joins the accidental dots together.
Which means he now has ammunition and can choose to dunk on Vyn if he so desires.
But Luke, being the well-meaning person he is, probably sends an overly cryptic text to Vyn instead, like, "hey thanks for the invite! did you intend the acronym??" and Vyn is like, "what acronym?"
And I want to make this conversation awkward. As a treat. It's Luke dancing around outright telling Vyn, and Vyn not understanding why Luke is telling him all of this.
Until, of course, it hits him.
But it's too late to back out now. Vyn thinks he's made a fool of himself, a Mockery, an Absolute Disgrace. Everyone isn't going to take his Serious Tea Party seriously any more. Woe is him, etc etc etc.
So it surprises Vyn when Artem and MC come to the party and say nothing because they, as we already know, are truly oblivious. They are here for iced tea and scones and tiny sandwiches and good company and that's it.
ARTEM: You said this was sugar honey iced tea? Why is there sugar and honey in it?
MC: Good question. Unless the honey adds a different flavor?
VYN: ...
And Marius can go dunk on Vyn for his invitations again. For fun.
Anyway, the tea party ends up being fun and wholesome and everyone gets to go home happy. Vyn breathes a sigh of relief that everything went well.
The next week, Marius invites everyone over for Saffron Honey with Interesting Toffee (he also sends a smiley face to Vyn, because he knows exactly what game he is playing here). Artem and MC are so intrigued by the sheer concept of Interesting Toffee. Luke is just in it for the food.
Vyn is completely done and wishes he had never sent those tea party invitations in the first place. Marius is never gonna let him forget about this, is he?
Bonnets, Bustles, and Belligerent Battles of Birthright
I think my immediate thoughts here went to European-coded Vyn or Artem with his Pride & Prejudice connotations. But with the concept of birthright in the picture, the more unexpected character to focus on would be Marius.
Picture this: it's a 19th century themed photoshoot for some top-tier magazine, and Marius is modeling. And maybe the external conflict here is that the company wants a family photo of the von Hagens, excluding Mom of course, but it's much harder to explain why Giann can't make it.
Enter: Artem, Vyn, and Luke.
"These are your friends?" Austin glances over the photos Marius has given to him, one each of Artem, Vyn, and Luke.
"Uh, sure," Marius says.
"The city's star attorney, your tutor, and a private detective," Austin notes. "They look nothing like Giann."
"They don't need to look like Giann," Marius says. "Hear me out, here's what I think we can do..."
Marius' plan: to substitute Giann with one of his fellow NXX team members.
"Maybe we can play it off as a joke," he says. "To avoid public suspicion. Say that Giann sent someone in his place, or was double-booked, or refused to comment at all." And then, with another thought, Marius adds, "Say it was my idea."
"Your idea?" Austin looks down at the photos once again, then passes them back to Marius.
"Yeah," Marius says. Because no one takes him seriously, anyway. Having the joke photos in contrast with a serious article is probably something the public would expect him to do. Plus, any attention directed toward him would distract reporters from suspicions about Giann's absence.
They were all good things. Probably.
Austin briefly considers editing Giann into the photo in post, but since he and Marius both feel iffy about it, they decide to go with the joke photos idea instead.
Here is where the battles of birthright come in: neither Artem, Luke, nor Vyn want to be the fake brother. Maybe it's like a three-way Spider-man meme where they're all standing in the studio and pointing to each other, like, "YOU DO IT!!"
Artem's all, "hey, Vyn was friends with Giann, so he makes the most sense" while Vyn's like, "fair enough, but Artem has the height." And Luke's just standing there like "do I look like Giann?? the correct answer is no, so why am I here again??"
Shenanigans ensue, until eventually things are resolved by using all three of them. Either three separate photos where Artem, Luke, and Vyn each get costumed up and stand in for Giann (to make it clear to the public that this is a joke), maybe with their faces artfully obscured by a hat or something, OR have one photo where Artem, Luke, and Vyn play the von Hagens. Vyn is Austin, Artem is Giann, and Luke is Marius.
If you like pain, you can also insert an optional vulnerable scene where Marius sends the photos to Giann anyway. Even though he knows his brother won't be seeing them anytime soon.
The final twist is that the public eats it up when the magazine article is published, calling the pictures avant garde or inventive or artfully experimental. At the very least, no one is questioning Giann's absence, so that's a win for the von Hagens. Marius puts his face in his hands as MC bursts out laughing at the awkward photos. He's going to owe a lot to Artem, Luke, and Vyn.
Kiki Bennett: The Perks of Romance by Proxy
You know what, I think we're just going to have fun with this last one. Out of the ones you gave me, I had the hardest time thinking of what to do with this title. So I'm going to offer you two concepts because I can't decide. Maybe you'll like one of these better than the other XD
Concept #1
For the first one, we can go ahead and have Kiki as a stand-in for the audience. Maybe this is a five-part fic, where each part explores the dynamic between MC and one of the main boys as Kiki tries to figure out which one is her favorite ship. Also, Celestine can be there to bounce off of.
And I think this fic would also have the potential for a lot of meta jokes and fourth wall breaks? Especially as Kiki and Celestine go back and forth between the expected tropes they think they'll be in for, versus the subversion of these tropes. It's probably harder to pull off in practice than conceptually, but I'll just have fun with the fake summary anyway :D
As ToT itself opens with Artem (excluding prologue and app icon because those are both Luke, haha), we'll also start with him.
"Do you think they like each other?" Kiki asks. "Like, like like?"
Celestine shrugs. "All I know is that Artem..." she stops herself and shakes her head, smiling. "I think the pieces might be there."

"Maybe he's like, the scary guy with a heart of gold," Kiki muses.
Celestine's eyes glimmer with laughter. "Okay, I'm going to tell him you said that."
"What? No!"
Here, we can maybe cut between completely innocent scenes of Artem and MC talking in public spaces around the law firm.
We can keep going with similar scenes, but with Luke, Vyn, and Marius as they individually drop by the law firm to visit MC or pick her up after work.
"Enemies to lovers," Kiki declares. "Or, well, maybe just enemies to friends."
"What?" Marius turns around to face Kiki, looking very much like a wet cat. "Missy and I? Just friends?"
"Has she said otherwise?" Celestine says, and the look that Marius gives her makes him seem much more like a kicked wet cat.
The last part, I think, can probably cover MC. Maybe Kiki finally gets to sit down and chat with MC. She does ask about her love life out of curiosity, but MC is just so vague that it's impossible to determine if she's dating one of the four guys, or even any of them at all. Kiki is confused, MC is oblivious, and Celestine is having the time of her life trying not to burst out laughing.
Resigned to not having any confirmation, Kiki gives up on figuring out MC's love life entirely and lets her be.
That is, until the flowers come in one day. When the delivery man tells her that they're for MC, questions flare up within Kiki. She takes them up to MC, and it's only then when she accidentally catches the name on the tag. Maybe she'll finally figure out if MC is into anyone??
But no. Not today, at the very least.
Because the flowers are from DAVIS.
Concept #2
Now my second idea is to make Kiki the host... of a quiz show. It's crack/comedy, and almost none of it is going to be taken seriously.
The competition is centered around MC, and the contestants have to answer questions based on her likes, interests, personality, etc. Maybe the winner gets to take MC out to a meal? Something like that where it doesn't necessarily have to be taken romantically, but just time spent getting to know each other.
Now I want the contestants to be the four main love interests... and Zangr.
Artem, Luke, Marius, and Vyn are appalled that Zangr is even here at all. How did he get here? Why is he competing? What are his motivations??
MC gets to sit in a corner and watch, like :D
As Kiki asks the boys questions (with the general "hands on your buzzer" quiz show type comments), and everyone starts gaining points, tensions begin to rise. Luke predictably scores highest in the childhood category, but from that point on it's a free for all for everyone.
And I want Zangr to win, shockingly and inexplicably. Possibly due to his fourth wall breaking powers or something.
This is horrifying to the rest of the competitors, while MC is surprised, like oh? lunch with Zangr?
But Zangr disregards the whole part about winning and just walks up to the front (where Kiki is) to give a speech to the camera about being an NPC.
"YOU!!" He points at Kiki. "Are you tired of being a side character as well?"
Question marks go off above everyone's heads, Kiki is forced to bid the audience goodnight so the credits can start rolling, and no one gets to take MC out to a meal!
Then, maybe we can cut to a non-show-related post-credits scene where everyone's either in a fast food restaurant or a fine dining restaurant, whichever one is funnier. They're all exhausted from the quiz show and dealing with Zangr, and it plays out very much like the shawarma scene from The Avengers (2012). So I guess everyone gets to take MC out to a meal? We linger there for a moment, then cut the cameras and the fic ends.

About Zhongli's state in the game right now..
I just want to vent(?) and let out my thoughts about this whole ordeal as a Zhongli simp. Take note that if you are someone who has Zhongli or wants Zhongli/is planning to roll for Zhongli and wants to read this post, be prepared. Because as much as i hate to say it, this one is gonna be harsh. I wish it wasn't, but the truth really hurts and is also something that i struggled to accept sjdjdjchsk
Ngl i'm probably going to get hands thrown at me because of this post but i really, really want to vent about what Mihoyo did to his character. This week has been a roller coaster when it comes to Zhongli. From being super excited for his release, being elated getting him, to being absolutely devastated at all the comments and information that had come out prior to his release.
Basically, as a 5*, Zhongli is very underpowered and underwhelming. This is something i hadn't noticed myself because my Zhongli still didn't have a proper build and weapon yet, but when i did, i felt my own happiness plummet at the weight of the reality.
I don't care if he is strong as a support or a dps, and no i don't want him to necessarily be good at being dps. But this will include a lot of stuff regarding damage because he is a five star with nuking potential. It's also this way because he is THAT underpowered. Even having him be a very good support would be a blessing, but as it goes, he is not.
First it was the comments in Youtube videos, arguing with each other about how bad/good he was. Those comments made me question a lot of things. But i felt absolutely crushed when Jinx and Tuner uploaded their stream of their Zhongli and Xinyan testing.
For those that don't know, Jinx and Tuner run a youtube channel where they test many things in Genshin and provide objective information about them based on the results of their testing. When i saw how incredibly disappointed and frustrated they were with Zhongli, i felt really, really sad. After all, they provide maths. Not only are they one of the genshin youtubers that i trust but they also study characters closely and tell you if a particular 5 star character is worth pulling for or not. And you guessed it, they concluded that Zhongli was NOT worth pulling for as a five star character because he is so heavily underpowered.
Then there comes the arguements presented.
Majority of people thought that Zhongli was going to be more of a support character rather than dps, and i could see why, but ironically he has more potential as a phys carry. And this information comes from the testing that Jinx and Tuner made.
However
Xiangling is still a better physical carry than Zhongli especially when you take into account the abilities she can use while attacking. Zhongli's pillar has questionable energy recharge generation, something that i too had noticed. Every tick of the pillar does NOT guarantee an energy, and it drove me crazy. Meanwhile you have Xiangling who can easily bring out energy with Guoba if she so wanted.
And you need C6 Zhongli in order for him to heal like Noelle too by the way. And Noelle is a 4* that is guaranteed on your first time playing the game. 👁
Zhongli's shield is good for sure, but then you have Noelle who can shield + heal. In terms of stuff being done, Noelle's is better. Zhongli's shield is strong yes, but it can STILL disappear after one or two hits from enemies (at least from our experience in higher AR. I have no idea if the same applies to lower AR).
Now for his meteor. Yes, his meteor is good. Not only is it spammable, but it deals great damage as well. BUT THEN you have Ningguang who can be a better burst spam and possibly deal more damage than his could do (remember, Ning has a lot of jades that could each deal 1k if built properly). The duration for petrification is 3 seconds too, which, a lot of people argue isn't enough time (personally, i have no problem with this since i do not mind it much). And apparently his meteor got nerfed because it does not increase geo damage and phys damage as it used to in the beta testing with petrification.
How about his ability in being able to break shields by holding E? Truth be told, i expected that he was going to be able to explode all shields in one go, but it does not work for every one of them apparently. Shields by hilichurls do break with just one E hold. But the ones by Mitachurls don't. I also tried breaking the Geo Hypostasis's pillar using his E hold and it did not break immediately. This could differ however. 👁 I'm still not sure if its because i have not properly built him right for breaking them or not. And about Stonehide Lawachurls... it's the same as the Geo Hypostasis pillar. The geo shield does not break immediately.
I'm not saying all this because i am mad at Zhongli. Rather, i am disappointed at what Mihoyo did to him. I am absolutely happy to get Zhongli. He is the one character i had been looking forward to for MONTHS. I saved resources in advance for him and even held off on leveling up my current team so i could dump all said resources on him when i get him. I stayed as AR35 for many many weeks because i wanted to level him up properly before ascending my World Rank. I think he is super fun to use especially with his burst and i absolutely adore the animation and when he crosses his arms and does his 'osmanthus tea' monologue at the most random times with his lil hand gestures. Even just listening to his voice while being idle fills me with so much happiness. There is so much joy in getting him. Which is why i am very disappointed at Mihoyo for how they butchered his character.
After Jinx and Tuner made their video about the results of their testing with Zhongli, i was genuinely saddened but i gradually came to accept the truth. It sucks, it hurts, but it is the truth. Even they said that they wanted Zhongli to be a GOOD character, but he is just insanely underpowered right now. You can invest resources into him and make him work, but compared to 4* and the other 5*, it takes so much effort. To make him decent, you'd have to level his stuff up so much but that also applies to four star characters and they perform better than him. Husbando > meta yes, but i gotta say that it still stings when my underleveled Xiangling and Fischl could do a much better job being a dps and support respectively than him when he's many levels above them.
Which brings me to the main point of this post.
Why was Mihoyo scared of making him strong? OP? Why did they nerf him so much? He is a 5* character Mihoyo, make him be STRONG at something. It's why he's a five star. But no. They watered him down so much to the point where even four star characters can do his own job better than him. His pillar doesn't even deal damage upon being destroyed just like Geo MC's. The range of his pillar's resonance is too small, and given the fact that his auto attacks can push enemies (except for the bigger ones of) or can be easily walked out of range to is 👁👄👁
And it deals criminally low damage. Like, why? Why not rack up the numbers? What is the problem????
The more i think about it, the more i can see the points that people have been pointing out. If the issue of energy generation with his pillar is RNG based, then that's simply screwed up. It already adds into the lists of problems that doesn't help with how underpowered he is. And as i am writing this post rn, there are lots and lots of Chinese players enraged about how weak he is as a 5* and causing HUGE fights in forums. People in the genshin subreddit had been debating again and again over heated arguements about his abilities. Even if you visit the genshin subreddit today and check every post about Zhongli, you will see people in the comments mention stuff about how he performs in the game and his abilities.
Mihoyo, give him a buff. I know that giving buffs isn't your thing, but there is honestly thousands and thousands of people expressing their disappointment and anger in how weak you've made him. He is a fan favorite. I love him. Majority of the genshin fanbase do. His character is really good and it hecking sucks that he is having major difficulties in fitting in on the game right now. He deserves better. Make him strong. Buff him. Adjust some of his abilities. Literally give. our. geo. dad. justice.
Those who don't care about damage is probably rolling their eyes at my rant rn but given how objectively weak he is compared to the other characters in game, it won't hurt if he gets a buff.
When the survey for Zhongli and Xinyan comes, rate him low. I know. It sucks. It's despicable. Even i hate it. But that is why we have to do it. If we become honest to Mihoyo about how much weak they made him, then maybe they are going to consider buffing or adjusting his abilities.
I'm sorry for the negative post. There is still hope for geo dad. He is incredibly fun to use but if you are debating on whether to pull for him or not, my answer would be
If you absolutely love him as a character, go for it.
Otherwise, just wait for now. Because his state in the game isn't looking so good at the moment.
For those that already have him and are also disappointed or saddened by what happened, take comfort in knowing that tons of people are still using Zhongli (including me who went through such roller coaster of emotions lmaoaoaoa) regardless of the information that he is behind in terms of being a dps and support. And that there is still hope for him (WAIT FOR THE SURVEY AND RATE HIM LOW YO 😭😭😭 IT WON'T GUARANTEE THAT MIHOYO IS GONNA BUFF HIM BUT WITH ALL THE PEOPLE RAGING RN THERE IS A HIGH POSSIBILITY THAT THEY WILL LOL)

hey, so I'm gonna ask about INTP stereotypes. I'm doing research about some MBTI types to my story, so I would like to know what should I avoid in order to create a reliable female INTP character, are there any common misconceptions? if you want to add anything about INTPs, like weird stuff they do, what do they like or very random things that nobody talks about, I would love to hear about it!
Awesome! If you ever need someone to read it, I’m open to that. I think one of the main misconceptions is how cold we are externally A lot of types might look at us and think we’re standoffish. However, I can actually warm up quite quickly with the right encouragement. The best approach is not to compliment me, it will make me feel awkward and probably slightly avoidant even if I don’t consciously intend to. I don’t really like to be observed in that way when I’m not trying to be. A better way is to tell a few jokes, make really random references, and get me used to the idea of you being in my physical space in a non-creepy, non-confrontational way (a fist bump or high-five will do).
There are a lot of nuances I would say. I am very insecure and very confident at the same time. Generally, I’m very confident in my academic abilities and very insecure about my social interactions.
INTPs aren’t all math all the time. I’m certainly not an engineer, even though I admire engineering from afar. I’m generally the most willing person to shut down people who are being assholes in class (i.e. those really loud kids that exist in every math class) and also contemplate other people’s ideas. However, some INTPs I know are actual engineers. This is very cool, but I’m also aware of the fact that they too get insecure about their math-skills as well because math is cool but not always conducive to the way we think. We’re kind of sporadic thinkers and not algorithmic as much. We can be really talented but are also generally at least a little unstructured (but a lot of types won’t see that, i.e. ENFPs typically think we have our lives figured out).
Everyone likes different things, it’s certainly not limited to type! I only know two other INTPs and they are both guys. I actually am pretty sure i know one other woman INTP but I haven’t spoken to her in four years. I don’t think any of us have a super-strong affiliation with gender and certainly not gender stereotypes (although we all are huge feminists). Perhaps the main misunderstanding is how much we care. Just because we may not outwardly respond does not mean that we didn’t hear the rude thing someone said to us or we aren’t furious about something happening in the world.
Another common thing for us is just being misunderstood. My INTP friends and I call each other aliens and it feels very true a lot of the time. Being an outsider is evident, even if we are well-liked.
I can be seen as sarcastic, snarky, blunt, and I am to an extent, all of those things, but I am not mean. I am very, very intentional about the boundaries I cross and often map out what will upset certain people to avoid hurting their feelings. When I do hurt feelings, it is generally because I have hit the end of my human feeling knowledge (i.e. what do you say to someone whose dad died if you are not religious, they are not religious, they didn’t know him and he was a bad person, but they are crying). I think now I would say “I am here for you, you can cry it out, let’s get you home”. But five years ago when I was in that situation, I didn’t say anything, just let my friend cry on my shoulder and when people came up to us, I told them that she didn’t want to talk. I was trying my best to be there emotionally, but I didn’t have the right schema yet.
My Ne/Si is a cause of a lot of my fights, actually. I tend to build schemas a lot (as most people do) but I am strict in my predictions of what I think people will do. Usually, people do not stray from my predictions but sometimes they do. When that happens, I’m either laughing my ass off and super excited about being surprised or I feel like I have betrayed myself by not being able to predict every outcome.
To write a good INTP character, you ought to give them a lot of comforting things. We like the friends we’ve had for many years, we like to wear the same jacket every week, we often order the same things off menus and say the same jokes and try to keep things quality-controlled. (I’m 19 and I still make pillow forts.) Then, to write a good book, you should mess everything up for your INTP.
If you need some emotional conflict, give them an Fi user. I personally fight with every Fi user I have ever known because there is always eventually a conflict that goes like this:
Fi:“YOU HURT MY FEELINGS. I’M SAD, WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN TO ME?”
Fe: “Your feelings do not make sense in this logical construct I have programmed to understand human emotions.”
AND/OR
“You are hurting other people’s feelings.”
OH, and another large misunderstanding. INTPs talk more or less like normal people. I have an incredibly colloquial style because formal writing is alienating and often misused. My INTP friends typically love memes as well as puns, bad jokes, and writing texts in stanzas like a drunkard poet. So yeah, we’re not all like “wahhh, you don’t speak in Python, my computer-brain doesn’t like this” (but also we kinda do just in different vernacular).
I also think that INTPs are not incredibly skilled at understanding who they are, even if they appear to be. I can analyze myself all day bebeY but if you ask me what my name is or what I’m doing I’m often like “yeah, idk, who am I? What is the purpose of existence?”. Actually, one of the easiest ways to identify an INTP in my personal belief is to shout very loudly “SO I WAS READING THIS EXISTENTIALIST BOOK THE OTHER DAY-”.
INTPs have a nice dichotomy of wanting stability but getting very bored once they’ve figured something out. If I am not planning something, I am depressed point-blank. Another cool dichotomy is disliking conflict but being sensitive and standing up for people (learned skill).

So like. I feel like Mitzi is a Good Amount younger than the rest of the band like she was in highschool when she joined, the rest of em were all Adults™ and she was a little bit nervous about it because...... ADULTS™
She was just lookin for a place to get her singing voice out there, because ya girl REALLY wanted to perform, and showbiz happened to have a slot open, but she did not expect all of the members to be older than her (although looking back, she realized she probably should have expected that)
It was intimidating at first but Billy Bob and Fatz were just the absolute sweetest and they introduced her properly to the rest of the band because she was like "oh I barely talk to them because I get nervous :(" and the resident dads p much said "aight we can do all the talking for you then, how about that?" And badabing badaboom she's now attached to these two and like honestly who isn't or maybe that's just me but ANYWAYS I feel like the band would become a second home/safe space for her

And I find the concept of Billy Bob being Very Much Straight And Ignorant but trying his hardest to be a good ally SO funny like if someone came out to him he'd probably be like "oh!! I don't understand why you would choose that lifestyle but I respect you!!" not realizing how incredibly stupid he sounds sjkrjh like I don't think he can very easily wrap his head around how people are just. not cishet. so he's like "OH then it must be a choice, right? like you can choose to be gay but you're born straight. Right?" and everyone just shakes their heads in the background but he does earnestly try his best and my man would rather DIE than disrespect someone's pronouns I know this for sure
Fatz is pretty similar, straight ally and a lil confused but he's got the spirit, you know? He still least knows being gay (as well as,,, m o s t sexualities that aren't straight, although some he doesn't get/know about at all) isn't a choice but he hasn't quite grasped that being trans is also not a choice. He will respect your pronouns to hell and back but by god he doesn't get it,,, he's trying though and he feels very accomplished in himself that he's starting to get the hang of using they/them even though he slips up a lot
The rest of the band encourages the HELL out of these two because they're. Trying their best and making an honest effort which is more than a pretty good chunk of people would give
Rolfe, Earl, and Dook are the reasons Billy Bob and Fatz are trying so hard to understand it lmao
Rolfe took it upon himself to hang up a MASSIVE gay pride flag backstage, being the flaming homosexual that he is, and the rest of the squad quickly realized "oh he's GAY gay he wasn't kidding" because at first they literally thought he was joking as he was actually just being openly and obnoxiously a raging mlm (and like I mean no shade to him this isn't me tryna to make fun of it because my dumb sapphic ass almost crashed my car once because I saw a pretty girl walk down the street. And by "once" I mean. Yesterday.) Anyways yeah that's when the rest of em Realized and were like "OH" but after the massive pride flag was hung up that prompted Dook to come out and they were all like "???? YOU TOO????"
Dook is a non-binary ICON he's a demiboy and goes by both he/him and they/them and probably would have a bunch of pride pins I think,,, I'm not really sure of his sexuality though!! honestly he kinda gives me bisexual vibes but Who Knows . Not me. He has a HELL of a time trying to explain his gender to the rest of the band (except for Rolfe because like. He's a part of the community so he knows) and basically he was met with "so you're just a dude but ✨spicy✨?" and it was like, "no, but I have no idea how to explain it in a way that will make sense to you, so. yes?" And that explanation seemed to suffice for most of them
Mitzi went in knowing NOTHING about what being non-binary was so she asked a l o t of questions about it, which Dook just kinda dealt with answering (he's heard most of it before, and it gets tiring after a while. if you're nb or trans or honestly any part of LGBTQ+ you know what I mean) but he thought it was really sweet of her to be so determined to learn about it and eventually she did get a grasp on it ish, so she was able to understand why it wasn't just ✨spicy male✨ (the conversation pretty much went "well if i was just male, don't you think I would label myself that way instead?" "....oH TRUE!!!") and she ended up a VERY passionate ally, and she'll ask occasionally about how to be better at it, bein a queen as she is 👉👉 also definitely started questioning her sexuality after a while and just went with "maybe bicurious" and Rolfe, Dook, and Earl were all like "ONE OF US, ONE OF US"
Earl has never once spoken about his sexuality in his life, because 1. He's very aware that's an awkward conversation to have with a puppet, and 2. He's aroace anyways, which is basically what people assume even if they don't realize it just for their own peace of mind, because seriously, puppets and any identity that ISN'T aroace creates a really uncomfortable mental image for... Most people, pretty much. So it's not like he ever needed to say anything about it, which is convenient for him because he wouldn't want to say anything either way. not worth the risk of embarrassing himself and making everyone feel awkward
(side note ish though Rolfe 100% came out to Earl first and was met with "I already knew that but okay." Rolfe was mildly offended)
And spEAKING OF EARL he's VERY much sentient but he can't say he's particularly enthusiastic about it because Rolfe has to carry him around everywhere
He can move on his own but it's limited and generally annoying to maneuver around with his tiny body so he just says screw it half the time and stays on Rolfe's arm or hitch a ride on Random Object, but like... Yeah, the majority of the time Rolfe just has to deal with only having one arm available and a puppet directly next to him making fun of him at every possible chance
They high-key have chaotic and unorganized college roommate vibes (like they're actually roommates because... Where tf is Earl supposed to go?? So Rolfe took him in) and idk if this is really like a part of my headcannons or if I just think it's funny so I keep entertaining the idea of it but I think it would be Fantastic if Rolfe had no idea how to cook but Earl somehow did so this idiot is trying to take instructions from a puppet, who can't physically show him what to do, and it's like Hell's Kitchen live featuring a furry and a sentient stuffed animal
Aaaaamd going off of my Rolfe and Earl headcannons still Rolfe for SURE has some sort of executive dysfunction issue. ADD or ADHD I'm not sure (probably ADHD) but he definitely has it also this totally isn't just me projecting how dare you accuse me of that
And!!! More about Dook!!!! I don't know how or why I thought up of this but I cannot possibly imagine him any other way now-- he's autistic and space is his Big Huge special interest, and if you ever ask him about it you have to be prepared to get infodumped or possibly even shown a PowerPoint presentation, because GOD he loves space!!! He wants everyone to know all about it!! He knows not everyone thinks it's as cool as he does so he tries to keep his mouth shut but when someone asks about it he can't help himself and will infodump a LOT, also haha drumming stims go brrrr, playing the drums isn't really a stim but he likes to just take his drumsticks and whack em around in the air and get that good ol Wavy Arm Action (wavy arms is best stim change my mind you can't it's GOOD)
Also i bbbbelieve earlier I reposted somethin about someone else headcannoning that he has echolalia, which I don't really know enough about to say anything on it?? But even if he doesn't have echolalia he'd probably repeat phrases over and over until he gets tired of them (which is,,, something I do lmao, it's either memes I get stuck in my head or things I've heard from various medias I like the inflections in (like one tiktokker I saw was talking about their tourettes and their vocal tics and one of them was "uh oh! How unfortunate!" and now I CAN'T STOP SAYING IT)) but like uhhh yeah :))) repeating phrases that get stuck in your head for various reasons for the win

You definitely don't need to apologize for that 😆 I do that too...
For me it's different cause I love the horror genre. Like not this random, boring clichee sort of horror but this really subtle and deep horror like in Hill House. I'm a huge fan of it. For me it wasn't really important what's it about, I just wanted to continue this anthology.
A lot of people say that honestly 🤔 it's different when you watch Bly first and then Hill House. But they both have a lot of similarities and I love that.
She is! And it's for sure that most of the time where people were going through a traumatic childhood, they turned out to be assholes. Like we have an example right next to Jamie on the same show - Peter. He went through that as a kid and he turned out to be abusive and toxic, mostly. So it's great to see that there's a different way to go with that or to deal with everything Jamie had to deal with as a kid and how she turned out to be as an adult.
So yeah that's really nice to see that people aren't the way you first think they are by how they act, you just need to get to know them and we did after her fantastic speech. I can't tell you how often I watched that because its one of my favorite scenes in the whole season. She definitely is one of the most important characters on the show. It's also a beautiful reference to how a flower needs it time to bloom and so do people, like you said.
I mean she's definitely holding herself back a bit, and she tries to wrap her flirting and overall conversations with Dani up with humor. I think that's a great way of showing someone you really care about them without being too forward. So yeah I agree with you on that she would make a move if she'd be completely sure that's it okay for Dani too. But she would definitely do it in a Jamie - like - way 😂 like acting all cool and being funny yk
Dani is bold af 😆 like she has shown us that so many times and it is refreshing to see. Cause if I'm being honest I didn't think of her that way when I first saw her. I thought she's cute and all but when I first got to know her backstory a bit I immediately changed my mind. Also the scene she had with Henry at the bar was bold af, I'd have never done that for sure 😅
And then everything that happens around her at Bly and with Jamie, no doubt at all.
Haha I had to laugh when Jamie said "who the hell knew" 😂 that was awesome and also gave Dani a feeling of relief. That was the first time she expressed her feelings, her real feelings, to someone she likes so much and no one blamed her for that.
I guess you can see it both ways. I hated how they decided to end it, like they just gave us all and then in the end they took it all away 😪 just seeing how Dani sacrificed herself and then no one even remembered her and she just has no choice but going to Bly again and die there, it was so hard to watch and to accept. And there's Jamie, alone, with just the memories of Dani and she keeps waiting for her to return till the end... that's just heartbreaking and I need to hold back myself from crying every time I even think about it.
It is a masterpiece, no doubt, but I just wish they would let them finally be happy for the rest of their days.
Yeah that's the thing when you watch Bly first I guess 😅 I knew Victoria will be in season 2, too. So I wasn't as surprised about it, but the fact that she played Nell just makes it change a bit. She nails playing those characters with real struggles and she brings them to life in a way I've never seen anybody do it 💯 her microexpressions are so spot on, like I don't even know what to say about it. These two characters are stucked in my head too. Dani a bit more than Nell but that's just because it's so long ago when I watched Hill House.
I mean definitely! I hope Amelia stays on the horror path that would be great for me 😂 also same here, I won't watch YOU I don't know why but it's probably the show in general seems to be not really my thing 😕 unfortunately I have to say...cause i don't get to see Victoria

A horror two-timer such as myself really doesn’t have any other opinion other than the ones I’ve seen: Bly is and feels more gothic, whereas Hill House is more... I guess classically horror. They are both fantastic, and tbh I had no idea this is what horror does. I’d never looked into horror as a way of expanding the story, and Mike and his team had done that beautifully with The Haunting.
Hours after I’d published the ask it occurred to me that the answer was so engrossed with Dani and Jamie that I’d completely forgotten to write about Peter lol whoops.
He and Jamie are really two opposites of the spectrum. And in episode 7, I get that the whole deal for that is to get a better insight into his background, and what shapes him and what made him the way that he is. I enjoyed it as a casual watcher, and I liked OJC’s portrayal of him, but to be completely honest, I left that episode with very little added empathy for him.
I’ve seen people like him enough both in real life and in fictional portrayals. I know what it’s like to be in the presence of people like him, and it is not in any way pleasant. So yeah, Peter, as this post so eloquently put it, can choke.
Jamie on the other hand... 🥰

Re: “I’m so glad you stayed” scene: That whole tracking shot... ugh, it just gives me goosebumps. I have seen it more than once and every time I need the scene for GIFs or anything, I’d always watch from the moment Owen’s car drives away.
These two smol wives own my heart and my soul, and I love them a lot a lot.
Re: the ending
Completely understand where you’re coming from, and it’s not something that I can casually think about or even try to sit with without some sort of mental preparation -- like taking a deep breath before you go for a deep dive. It still hurts, I still get sad and cry about the way their story had to end.
But, that being said, to me it doesn’t feel like a disservice to their journey. It wasn’t done just for the sake of dramatization, or to show any kind of... hidden morality message, or anything like that. There’s no agenda to the story, is maybe a more succinct way of putting it. Just like any other couples we would see on screen, it treats them with respect. I think we all wish, deep down inside, that they would be able to shake off The Lady and live their best lives, but... I don’t know. Personally, I don’t think it would’ve stayed or created this big of an impact if they were to just ride off into the sunset together.
Another thing to add is how good Bly is at exaggerating and amplifying aspects of real life and making it to be an element of the story. Some people forget you, some people will always wait for you and want to be with you. Some things, you do without thinking and it becomes a habit. Sometimes you lose yourself. Sometimes you’re stuck in circumstances or places you don’t really want to be in, but have to due to obligations and responsibilities. Some places really do have a pull of their own. Sometimes people love wrong, and it consumes you. Sometimes people love right, and it saves you.
Maybe that’s just me and my takeaway from it, though. Last time I said Bly has changed the course of my 2020, and by that I mean that it’s taught me to have feelings again, to re-examine things, to care. And I just... love this series. Sadness and all.

When it comes to Netflix’s You...
to be completely blunt, a story that is pitched as “stalker man show, he kills people” is just not gonna appeal to me in general. No offense to anyone but there are just too many men I do not give a squat about.
I don’t know if my resolve with this show will change. There’s been a couple sets of Love Quinn that I’ve seen (when she goes to the market in a beanie, or when she’s cooking and baking and drinking wine, or when she apparently went full on revenge baking mode) that are intriguing and is chipping away at my resolve, but... yeah, for the moment, I’m staying away from that series.
And I’m just gonna put a thought out into the universe, that if Miss Amelia Eve is hiring anyone to help her with her dog-walking business, I am available and can start ASAP.

hey again its crisis anon and i'm starting to rly want to try my hand at writing fanfic!! embracing the "fuck it" mentality atm🤪🤙 & i think i have the language aspect of writing down, like i'm good enough at it lol, but i've never written for a fandom before so its kind of daunting :( if its not an inconvenience i'd love to know if u have any tips!!
sorry on the lateness of this reply!! i’ve been thinking about this ask pretty much since i got it.
(this got kinda long oops i hope this is useful)
first and foremost, i would say that when deciding to write fic: write the stories you want to read. that is absolutely essential to fic writing because if you aren’t inspired by a story or it’s not something you’re all that interested in, chances are it’s either a) not gonna be all that great because you weren’t invested in it or b) it’s not gonna get finished because you’ll get bored of it. also, while i do write because i love the community aspect of it and i love people commenting and sharing my stories and talking about them, the core of my writing stems from me wanting to write and getting excited about a story i think is really cool. sometimes i think: am i really going to write this stupid au that no one else cares about and the answer is usually yes because I want to write it and therefore to me, it’s a story worth telling. this also applies if you’re writing a story you feel has already been done a million times - even if it has, it’s never been told by you
second: be patient with yourself. if you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that my tag for posts about writing and its struggles is “writing is hard” and it is! sometimes i start stories, get only a little bit of the way into it and then think of a new story and start writing that instead. it’s totally okay (and not unusual) to bounce around in fics, especially if you’re stuck, because otherwise it’ll start feeling less like a fun hobby and more like a chore to finish. i have fics i started over a year ago, or haven’t worked on in months because i got stuck, and a lot of times i find that after working on something else or just giving my mind time away from it, i’ll think of a scene that i want to add or how to get around where i’m stuck. sometimes i open up a doc that’s been there for months, write one sentence i thought of, and then leave it again.
(as an add-on: writing is not linear! sometimes i know how i want a fic to end or start or just one event that happens somewhere in the middle and nothing else, and i start by writing the parts that inspired me to write it, then build around it.)
writing is also very fluid. by that i mean there’s so many times i’ve gone into a fic with an idea that is the core of the fic only to get partially or completely through writing it and realize that i want to change it in some way or go in a different direction than when i first started, so don’t be afraid to reshape an idea you originally had.
on a practical level, if you have an idea, write it down somewhere. there have been so many times that i’ll just randomly have an idea pop into my head and i’m like trying to fall asleep or i’m doing something else and i foolishly tell myself that i’ll remember it later so i don’t need to write it down now. (you might be able to guess - i do not remember a lot of them) i have notes on my phone that have just like lines of dialogues or the outline of a scene and some of them don’t really mean anything from the outside (ex. from a note about an artist au i have in progress: “dex wakes up and nursey’s painting - it’s really late”) just something for you to read and remember what you wanted from it.
also, don’t completely delete scenes if you want to take them out of a fic. i have a document titled “random unused ideas” and part of it is just scraps of ideas referenced in the above paragraph, and some of it is scenes i’ve taken out of fics but don’t want to get rid of because they might come in handy in other fics. i just recently decided to take a bunch of the snippets of scenes i had and put them into one fic to be worked on in the future. i also like to make an adjacent doc to put scenes in just in case i want them back in the fic i was writing. so for example, when i was writing “under the summer sun with you” i had a doc titled “fishing trip au extras”, and there was an entire scene i ended up taking out but i had in that doc because i wasn’t sure yet if it was going to make the final cut. (now it’s in my general “random unused ideas”)
finally, if you can, find people to talk to about writing. i get so excited when people want to talk about my stories and my friends here bounce ideas back and forth, which has helped me work around some of the roadblocks i’ve encountered.

Song stuck in my head: Ghost of You by 5SOS. It inspired an angsty fic that I'm gonna plot tonight, and probably shelve for future use after I finish my zine piece and my other chapterfics.

I also know very very basic Mandarin. Not a lot. Briefly tried to use duolingo for french so i have a smattering of vocab in that language. I also once had a phase where i tried russian. I remember like. 2 phrases and nothing of the alphabet. Uh. I know some ASL? Like. 5-10 signs and fingerspelling only tho.

so! an intro post!
sonho means dream in portuguese. kind of a redundant username but eh. call me sonho, soso, dream, op, whatever lol. i'm a she/her! and bi!
i'll be posting my brainrot here. basically just reader insert stuff for the following fandoms
- genshin impact
- jujutsu kaisen

- haikyuu au: photographer!reader, where you were raised along the tanakas' children- ryuunosuke and saeko- because you're neighbors and your mother's a workaholic. you take up photography eventually and discover there's a lot more to it than just pretty sunsets- and there's something about capturing people in action that makes you come back to life. probably harem-ish, will probably have more stuff after the timeskip. more of an introspective piece set in the haikyuu universe so far, but i'll reread it and probably get inspired to add more stuff.
- traveler!reader genshin: what it says on the tin lol. i'm thinking of moments in between the big stuff, and i'll make my dresses idea a part of this. harem, romantic tension with like, half of the characters?
- champions au: inspired by a dream. championships to show your nation's might. in the team of six, you are a support, affiliated mainly to china, but to japan too. it's probably gonna be long, full of me attempting character development and angst. probably harem-ish. reader/zhang for the beginning, reader/gojo after (maybe hints of reader/sukuna, reader/nobara)
- isekai jjk au: you get isekaid. and are depressed- this is a reader insert i'm allowed to project- and have a surprising amount of cursed energy. gonna try and diverge from canon but i still have to think of a plot besides off scenes. for now i'll just post random moments.
- demon slayer/kny au: demon!reader, wherein you were turned while being a demon slayer and ate your family's corpses... when you came to, you remembered who you were, and vowed to not eat human meat ever again. you slay demons for a long time, evolving your form of breathing- before, it was flower breathing, but evolves into a broader style, the breath of forest. you also save a young girl, a marechi, who ends up becoming a blacksmith and helping you replace your old swords, as well as supply the demon slayer corps with blades in general. i'm thinking this might be uzui endgame? idk i like him, but we'll see.
- plot bunnies: a spider-man one with an old character concept of mine- a universe traveler/power copycat; an ouran actual reverse harem; a soc au where you just want to go to college, damn; maybe a reverse isekai xiao one?; definitely something for yanfei eventually
