Hello!
Previously, I announced a hiatus because I had some personal matters to attend to and with my awful self-control I couldn't really focus on them while balancing TL stuff at the same time. I was also feeling pretty burnt out and needed a break.
Now that I've settled what's important, I think I'm ready to continue running this blog. However, as mentioned in another post, I decided on certain changes I want to make to how I run my blog.
Some of these changes are going to upset some people, but I've been thinking about this for a long time and only made this decision after choosing to prioritise my wellbeing + this is my blog.

First of all... this one isn't a change and you guys already know this because it's in my FAQ post + you can tell by how often I post new stories — unlike some other blogs, I'm not able to translate new stories every single day aka I'm not going to be posting daily story chapter updates. It takes a lot of time to TL and a lot of proofreading before a story is deemed ready for uploading.
Moving on!
I've probably said this at least 5 times by now and keep going back on forth on the decision but this time I'm dead serious.
There will be a change to the order in which I prioritise which game's content I TL. The new order will be: Ikemen Genjiden, Morganatic Idol, Ikemen Villains/Koihana Bakumeiroku/Ikemen Live.
You read that right. I'm going to start TL more MoruDoru content and slowly get back into KoiBaku. The reason for this specific order of prioritisation is simply because Genjiden is getting discontinued in August and we don't know whether the app will even still be on the AppStore like IkeRev or it'll end up like IkeLive (IFC) or it just vanishes off the surface of the earth. Moreover, MoruDoru and KoiBaku don't have EN versions; IkeLive is because I want to finish Henri's main story.
Ever since Ikemen Villains EN server launched, I noticed that majority of the fandom is now focused on that and no longer reading translations of JP events even though they're not on EN yet. Which I think is understandable and great because now it's much more convenient for the english speaking fandom to enjoy the game without having to wait for someone to translate stuff. All the events and stories on JP will be on EN eventually. Therefore, I'm going to stop translating main stories and events for IkeVil — this excludes any paywalled stories I may be interested in i.e. ECB, 95K LP bonus, story sale, birthday stories. I'll still TL paywalled stories because I understand that not everyone can obtain them, even when they're out on EN. However, IkeVil remains at the bottom of my priorities.
I'm well aware that I built this blog up and gained majority of my audience from the Ikemen Villains fandom, so I'm truly sorry things turned out this way. But I want translating to be fun again and most of my enjoyment back when I first started my blog came from being able to just TL whatever I'm reading at the time, instead of rushing to TL stories before the next event starts and beating myself up over being slower than others.
That's all I have to say. I don't mind if you want to unfollow me after this, because being "popular" was never my goal to begin with. I thank you for all the support you've given me so far, from the bottom of my heart.

⚠ WIKI AD INCOMING ⚠
Hi, everyone! @mechanical-clown here on a new blog! That's right, it's the Real Official CPC Wiki Social Media Account here!! B) Unfortunately I do not have good news to deliver
It's been a hot minute since my last ad and I do want you all to know I'm still sorry for doing this. Unfortunately, again, how bad I feel making another ad is outweighed by how much the wiki needs more help. I've been feeling especially desperate lately because of the fact that CPC is ending soon, and there are many tasks that will be made harder if it's put on daily pass. So, in my cry for effort to get help, here's an explanation of what I believe is our biggest issue and a rundown of things that currently need to be done! Again I am sorry. This could take a while
If you were fortunate enough to not have seen this post last time, the Cursed Princess (Club) Wiki needs help if it wants to be complete any time soon. Kind of a lot of it. As we all know, cpcblr's very active and prolific in content and the wiki's typically... not. To seriously get into this, the only three active editors in the past month or two have been me, @the-neighbors-kid (aka cursed-princess-club), and Ama (not sure if she wants to be tagged but we all know her!). Shoutout to you two because you are actually the best thank you I love you /pl <3
Anyways, there are already a lot of things we need to do to fix up the wiki. Thankfully, accessing any episode for any information you'd like is easy! And it will continue to be that easy after CPC ends, because Webtoon doesn't feel the need to limit how many episodes a person can view, right? Right? ...Yeah, so, uh, daily pass exists.
As of the time I'm writing this, there are ~10 episodes left in CPC (forgot the exact number lol). Assuming there are no hiatuses, that's only 10 more weeks, or 2 and a half months - and that's pretty soon! While there is a chance that CPC might not have daily pass after it ends, it's a small one. And, to me, that sounds like a huge problem!! If CPC is put on daily pass, accessing episodes will become much more difficult. Looking for a certain character's appearances, adding images, even just finding a single reference - it'll take a day to unlock the needed episode, and that episode will be gone in 2 weeks. The best solution to this problem would probably be to just use physical copies of CPC to find things, but those aren't available to everyone.
And adding images with daily pass episodes? As a reminder, screenshotting while viewing an episode on daily pass is taken as a sign of piracy. Screenshotting, the way we get images for the wiki. I've tried poring through Webtoon's terms of use to find some answer about whether publicly posting such screenshotted images would be illegal, but there's no mention of daily pass, and the text is so dense it's hard for me to tell. (I want to say I'll take a second look at it sometime, but that's probably just going to go into my list of permanently-unfinished priorities. I doubt the physical copies would be a good alternative to screenshots, either.) Regardless, I don't want to take any chances with the law, or see however Webtoon would punish us on the chance they find our frightening screenshots. Thus, another top priority of mine is to add more images and complete more galleries before CPC ends.
Oh, yeah, and that's barely even scratching the surface! Here's more stuff we need to do, presented in an appealing (classic Mocha iykyk) bulleted list:
A major thing is filling in episode pages. Episodes 40-around 110 are basically blank - no synopsis, character list, summary, or extra information. This is the task that would likely be least burdened by the addition of daily pass, but in my opinion, it's still of the absolute highest priority.
Galleries, which display images of characters, locations, or episodes. While not generally that important, I do think it'd be a good idea to fill out mostly empty ones now - you know, since taking screenshots of CPC may become illegal in the future! Most characters have a good amount of images on their pages, thankfully (the pastel sisters have so many they were the first to get separate gallery pages); some, including Jack and Leland, have very few. Episode pages and locations often have way less, though those aren’t as important
Relationship sections for a number of characters. These involve write about characters’ relationships, though in a way that mainly describes their interactions throughout the episodes without expressing any specific opinions. Some major sections that need to be written/updated include Jamie and Leopold; Jolie and Nell; Leland and really everyone on his page but especially Jack; Jack and Lilyth; Suzanna and Lance/Lorena; the Plaid Princes with each other; and more! Many more!
History sections for a number of characters. In a similar vein to relationship sections, these just detail a character’s appearances in the story, as well as their past or other mentions of them. Examples of (mostly - Isolde's isn't fully updated yet) completed history sections include Whitney’s, Isolde’s, and Monika’s! Examples of incomplete sections include virtually everyone else’s.
You might be wondering why I, a wiki admin (in case I haven't said it enough) am not doing any of these things! That’s because I'm neglectful and pretty bad at my job. I will not sugarcoat that part anymore. As much as I love the wiki (it's where I met my best friend after all, and while I'm writing this they just went offline so he can get fucked /j) I don't have motivation to work on it very often. Really, I don't have motivation to work on much nowadays! Ama's been doing the virtually thankless job of keeping the wiki up for the past couple months, and I've been mostly absent. The wiki is only remotely as active as cpcblr because of her. I feel terrible about it, but I'd rather be writing this 9-paragraph cry for help than editing, so, uh... yeah this is a public apology to Ama. I am so sorry. I know this isn't very professional but I'm incapable of being professional about the wiki tbh
TL;DR: As CPC is ending soon, the impending threat of daily pass could take away the ability to look at episodes whenever you want, which would make wiki editing much harder. We seriously need editors to join us in finishing the wiki. Please at least consider helping us!! Any way you can is appreciated - even if you can only make very few edits, I'll be immensely grateful for your support :)

Just finished watching Providence. I'll probably have some more thoughts to share about it after sleeping on it, and possibly later if I rewatch S3 again (😍).
Providence and S3 spoilers ahead!
The first thing I can't stop thinking about is that upon giving the Psycho-Pass subreddit a quick look before watching the movie, the only post I saw was about how "this movie should have come out before S3". I didn't read the body of the post in fear of spoilers, but throughout watching the movie, I kept thinking about how much I disagree with that. How insignificant would Akira be if you didn't know he was Kei's brother? How random would Atsushi be as a character if you didn't know what he meant to Arata? Imagine this random kid showing up. No one would react positively to Arata, Maiko and Kei. Akira would feel like a side-character we only cared about for a split second and Atsushi would be confusing in the wrong way. Season 3 wouldn't be the same without the mystery of Tsunemori's incarceration. Objectively a wrong take if you care about the storytelling and characters at all imo.
With that out of the way, while Providence answered some of our burning questions, some have been left unanswered, such as:
Did Gino change his haircut so drastically all of a sudden because he realised the wind blowing in his face meant he couldn't see shit?
I'd be willing to buy that he just enjoys changing styles regularly, though.
Since I'm looking at her... do we know what Frederica's deal is, exactly...? I also can't help wondering - is there a reason why Shimotsuki hates her this much? While she's always complaining over petty things, she seems to hold a pretty specific dislike towards Frederica. Is it really just her personality? (I'd be willing to buy that, too...)
I feel like we have gained a net zero information about either Homura Sr. or Jr. Or Bifrost.
I feel like I had another serious question... before I started joking about Gino's hair. It'll probably come back to me. I guess there's always "can Shou's backstory get a Moment? Anyone else remember how S2 didn't give its new cast the same amount of time S1 did? Babyboy's still kinda just Here rn."
I'm still a bit confused about Jackdaw and Vixen, and the fact that I only just realised that Vixen is a woman probably does not help.
I miss Azusawa and Obata...
Oh right, I think I remembered what I meant to talk about. There are events that clearly happened between Providence and S3 that haven't been detailed, such as Gino leaving the Bureau to join Foreign Affairs, Kunizuka running the fuck out of there or even, I believe, Arata and Kei being appointed as Inspectors. We know that Tsunemori contributed to the latter - I wonder if we may learn more about her reasoning in the future. I think we can also infer that Gino, who stated in the movie that he intends on protecting Tsunemori, had to change plans one way or another due to her arrest.
I feel like we still don't know enough about Akira's relationship to his brother or to Atsushi, and I don't know whether that will be forever left in the air of if it will be detailed. The exact implication of Stronskaya Sr. and her relationship to her daughter are also vague.
Honestly, there's a lot going on in this movie. A lot of politics... a lot of religion... and a thick wall of the story's context. It's complex, and it's interesting how Psycho-Pass is continuing in this direction that already stood out in S3.
I'll just say I'm upset about Saiga. Evil evil bad. I'm really hoping for more content with Arata, Maiko and Kei in the near future because I seriously love them!!! And I want closure for them!!!! Akira was a pretty interesting character, though his quick death was frustrating - which I assume was not not on purpose. Though it happened maybe a little too fast due to the movie format (compared to an episodic format), the revelation of his allyship was set up pretty well. Like I said, details are definitely missing - Atsushi didn't explain why Akira was so willing, and he was interrupted before he could say who he was in his own words.
It was pretty nice to see Kougami be a little cringefail. I didn't enjoy his characterisation in S3, but in Providence, it feels a lot more sensible - like he can really feel that he doesn't have control. I'm satisfied with his and Tsunemori's dynamic in the movie, wherein they care about each other deeply - dare I say, Kougami might even care a little more than she does at this point? - how does that dynamic shift feel my guy? - but Kougami's wrongdoings have weight and the narrative doesn't force him back on her. You can feel that he wants to be back, you can feel that to Tsunemori he never really left, but like I mentioned in a more personal post, Gino's her source of comfort, her trustworthy teammate; Kougami isn't welcomed back by default. This feels natural. This feels like the writing cares about their feelings.
What else... Oh yeah... Did anyone else feel like Saiga was kinda................. hot?

Its been a decent couple of months of productive work, so it's sadly time for a schedule change. I'll be posting pages two weeks apart again. Details provided below if you're curious as to why.
In all honesty there's no big dramatic reason this time around. I've just slowly lost drive to work on Dread Not as often and as thoroughly as I used to be able to. As I said in one of my previous posts (that sounded suspiciously like this one), I want to focus on other projects as well. One of those is my personal art blog, which I've neglected even though I've had art on the backburner that I've been meaning to post for AGES. Kingdomrune is another one of those, where I have shit I could post that I just... never did. Dread Not takes a lot of time and I miss being able to dedicate that time to consuming media instead of just grinding and trying to produce my own. One of the most important things to do as an artist is to broaden your horizons and take in as much art as you can, to diversify and expand what you know and what you can make. But, when all day every day I'm just sitting and drawing my own thing, it's like I have tunnel vision and my creative resources run dry. It's starting to feel weirdly soulless on my end, because I don't feel nearly half the inspiration to make the pages as I did when the big hiatus ended. It's all dependent on time and exposure, and I can only crunch for so long before it starts to feel damaging to me instead of fun and creatively fulfilling.
So what does this mean, practically speaking? Well, for one, I'm spacing out the page upload for the rest of Act 1, as previously mentioned. I'm well aware this will kill the pacing and it'll drag out longer than it theoretically needs to, but I'd even rather that than trying to rush out a page in the Two Days I have free this week (yeah, ONLY two days free out of the ENTIRE week. Don't ask me why it's not even my fuckin' fault this time). If pages become even more scarce than 1 page per 2 weeks, blame it on college. I'm getting new subjects and I don't even know the class schedule yet. Concerning Act 2 though, I'll be changing the structure of the pages from their core. I'll be switching to a different drawing software (probably Krita, suck my dick Photoshop) so it'll take some getting used to. I can't even promise bonus content or anything during the necessary break between acts because of that shift in software happening, I've never done a massive technical move like this. However, it'll allow me to, not only work on Dread Not better, but expand my art overall, so it's definitely worth it. I've wanted to get into animation for YEARS and Krita seems like an okay place to start (the gif on this post WAS made with Photoshop, but shitty gifs are about all I can make as animations in Photoshop). Act 2's style will, predictably, differ heavily from Act 1 and (with how long writing the dialogue alone for it is taking), it might end up being Longer than Act 1, too. Visually, it'll probably be something like cleaned up and coloured sketches, with simpler colour palettes and simpler (big airquotes) visuals overall, and it'll speed up the process and possibly allow me to post more than one page at a time. Possibly. That's not a promise.
I'm sorry if that's disappointing to anyone, but I physically can't make myself continue the current artstyle across all acts. It's just not feasible.
For those curious about the FARTHER future of Dread Not, I have plans to turn Act 3 into a series of fics rather than full comic pages, and something maybe a bit more insane for Act 4. I don't have everything figured out yet, and I don't want to make any false promises or give any grand ideas I won't be able to commit to, since only time will tell how my creativity will flow years from now. If you all want more content from me specifically, again I'm planning on reviving my art tumblr like a half buried zombie, and you'll probably see more there than you bargained for once I actually get into the habit of posting things. If you're mayhaps interested in my original stuff, keep your eyes peeled for a guy called Duro, I might start posting about him some time soon.

I am so pink oh my goodness aaa
I'll give some updates then so people know we're not just slackin', haha;;
This past week we've been hella busy with church, school, trying out programs, still figuring out the whole learning to drive thing, stuff with disability, etc... but especially with Valentine's Day & Moose's birthday.
CJ came up to visit which was really special & we got to eat out & get boba all together which was super nice as he doesn't live too close by ever since we moved a few years back.
I recently got most of my m3dz figured out so I might be able to start hrt within the next year, & it sounds like the date has been set for CJ & I to get married this April 29th!
On top of all this we recently found out that a couple other plans have been thrown into the mix:
Our folks are planning to head out for a week a few states away to spend time with family & celebrate our twin cousins' birthday & then they'll be goin to Medieval Times for Moose's birthday possibly with another friend or cousin.
My mom & I are gonna try & see a show with CJ & his mom if they're able to come for my 21st birthday (Which is March 13th!) & CJ's birthday is at the start of April.
Right before our wedding is my dad's birthday & we're gonna see another live performance in another state, & then right afterwards a few days later is gonna be the wedding.
We're just gonna make it small & Soukoku themed, but maybe years later from now when we're livin' alone & financially stable we might do a bigger more official wedding. We'll renew our vows, maybe have custom made suits, special stuff like that.
Somethin' we're hopin' to do is for the small one we might make custom Lego Minifigures to be in front of/above the cake & then if we save up... the four-six hundred bucks... we wanna get the Soukoku "wedding" figurines that came out a bit ago.
It's a dream.
Anyways, as for the actual project!
I'm still working on the script when I have time, I just got stumped since we don't have Golden Demon written yet- but I managed to come up with some content to fill in for during or after the scene plays out for now & continued from there.
Moose has decided to try & make two versions of Life's Better With A Little Party In It: one that's a trashy pop song, & one that's his own take on the song based on artists like YOASOBI. (Into the Night, Monster, Idol, etc...)
We're also thinking about making a Cover Album on the side to go with the soundtrack just for fun with covers of songs from bands & artists like ONE OK ROCK & Set It Off.
I'm still thinking I might go for making The I Was Screaming Your Name Through the Radio Project into an episodic animatic series, but with everything going on I might wait to record the actual script & songs until we've got most of the script & songs written out more at the least if not also until after I get a better microphone & possibly start injections. (Maybe I'll still do the first few chapters since they're just teens anyways but meh whatever; we'll see.)
I did do a drawing while I was free last night though & have been talking with my dad who's voice is basically his life & career about vocal training of sorts or if I should find classes online or something along those lines for it.
(Back to the drawing) I made a concept design for Moose's online/music persona AquaticSnow & a possible first EP/Album cover. I'm not sure I'll post it (yet?) since he might use it for stuff like his avatar, channel/s, music, etc but if I do it'll be on my personal main Tumblr, Instagram, & probably Deviantart & Twitter/X.
I'm also nervous about somebody tryin' to steal the art &/or concept.
Another reminder that I do have a personal server where I stream drawing, gaming, sometimes reading & writing, watch parties (movies, shows, etc...) & I post planning & updates for the project there!

mmm just wanted to say that i really love your writing and i'm really excited to see what you make in the future! your gsa stuff is so pleasant and angsty and i've really been enjoying wwtmk <3 that's not even getting into how much i liked the cannibalism fic.... now you'll be a part of me forever !! i'm such a sucker for that kind of thing.

waa hello thank you!! yknow i don't hear much about the beast in the walls but i really love that one so good to know! i can share some of my prospective calendar (though everything i say is subject to change)
once wwtmk is done, i probably won't be posting much for a bit. i might do something sword/blade/mk related for valentine's day if i can think of an idea before then. after that though, i have another little project focused on the knights at the time they first met. it's a continuation of a fateful encounter. at the moment it's sitting at about 23k, and i think i'm a little past halfway through it. ideally i'll start publishing it sometime in late february or march, but winter is usually the busiest and most stressful term so it'll be later rather than sooner. plus i'd like to have a majority of it written out first. i don't exactly have a surplus of time or energy this time of year so it'll be a while still.
most ship content will probably end up on my other pseud for the foreseeable future (excluding the potential valentine's thing) to avoid like...cluttering things, i guess? so for that there's always more knights, maybe metamorpho in a normal context, maybe arthur/nonsurat for the two people who care because i love them a lot. oh and also falspar and dragato doing whatever the hell they're doing because i would die for them.
absolutely there will be more gsa one-shots. i've had some ideas floating around but no energy to really get into them. plus my usual strategy for the gsa is to sit down and write for three straight hours because they sort of automatically put me in a flow state, and i can't do that at school cause i have other things to do. there might be some stuff about their history. i don't really know where to begin with all that, plus there's ocs i'd have to deal with, so we'll see. galacta knight related stuff is also a possibility, especially more about him and mk when they were working for nme. check out how much galactadad angst i can make
overall this year i wanna write more out of my comfort zone honestly. writing things like the beast in the walls or know your place was weird but it was also really really fun. so if i ever jump on any out-there ideas, i might actually do something with them. OH THIS INCLUDES AN ARTHUR AND MK BEING FAMILY THING I'VE BEEN SITTING ON. i completely forgot about that. i should polish it up and publish it for my birthday because it is so self-indulgent and silly. so that is now happening next week. metamorphosed one-shot is also happening later this week (tomorrow or thursday) because i'm normal about that au.
so that's a lot, and most of it is very up in the air because i'm always doing things...but you can 100% expect more knights content in the near future. wwtmk is like standing on the edge of a canyon peeking into my kirby interpretations. i have to write or i will explode

oh hey!
it's me! I'm back!
lots of folks are flocking over from twitter right now, so now seems like a good time to start again for myself as well—though I've actually been thinking about starting again for a long time now. a lot has changed in my life and in return I've changed a lot about this blog, so I'll be talking about it all for a bit.
there'll be a tl;dr at the bottom if you don't feel like reading it all, but I'd appreciate if you did!
so, hey. I thought for a long time about what to do with this account. this place spawned and held a lot of memories of people who did me wrong and the mistakes I'd made, and it was bad enough for a while that I just didn't want to look at it at all.
it took a long time to accept what happened to me and that it shouldn't have happened, and that I shouldn't be protecting and supporting the people who were involved anymore. but, yeah, I think I was kinda groomed. that sucks, and I won't go into details about it. I'm thankful to have the clarity I have now as an adult to come to terms with it.
I considered wiping this account entirely and moving to a new account—both to try to erase what happened and to have a more appropriate place to house the new type of content I've moved onto. but, I've had this account since the day I turned 13. I'm 22 now. it's been my home and I'm not letting any assholes' influence taint it and take it away from me. also, I can post what I want, lol.
that all being said, though, I have updated the look of this this place to match my current tastes! I'd like to do even more, but I'll need to draw stuff to do that. so, while this blog has already been hugely overhauled, it'll continue to be a work in progress until I get the time to make some assets for it. speaking of Blogs and Posting, I should probably let you all know that I'm not going to be posting anymore megaman content anymore—neither through my own posts nor reblogs. I've grown out of that fanbase, and I think it's time to move on for everyone's sake. if that disappoints you, I'm sorry, but also, I'm not sorry because this is the best thing for me. I don't need it anymore, but I'm grateful for all the growing I did while being into it. you're entirely welcome to leave if cookie run and my ocs aren't your jam—thanks for staying with me all this time! and to those who choose to stay regardless, you have my whole heart. thank you to both!
I can't say how often I'll be posting here, as I've gotten a lot of things in my life now that eat up my time (this is a good thing, in my teenage years I would've never imagined having the responsibilities I have now!). on top of two jobs, I also co-own the cookie run kingdom wiki now! managing and improving that place takes a LOT of my time, seriously. it's made me slow down significantly in making my art, but that's alright—I seriously love it there, and I've met so many amazing people and built a lot of other skills from being there. like coding! I can do that now! I'm responsible for coding and designing a very big portion of the templates and extra styling on there, and I'm very, very proud of it! being a representative of the wiki, you can always feel free to ask me about the site, its policies, etc. here. also, I'll probably be going back to school soon...
but anyways, oh yeah, art. I've got a pretty good backlog of completed drawings that I'll be posting to here. I'll be queuing the posts to come out at probably a rate of one a day until they're up, though. no more posting 7 pieces in one day and posting the next in 3 months (at least for now 🤔). like I said, I don't have a ton of time to draw constantly like I used to, but I'll do what I can in making more in the future. as for what I'll be drawing, I mean, probably cookie run. maybe some ocs though, because I've got a few ideas. maybe things from my other interests? we'll see! I've also been sculpting a lot, actually...
and yeah, don't let the seriousness of this post fool you; I'll certainly still be reblogging dumb, non-serious posts like I always did. fixing up the look of the blog itself is enough professionalism I think 😵 also! I'll be letting up on all the trigger warning tags I had used in the past—scopophobia, animals, food, that kind of thing—because I've literally never been asked to tag anything like that. I mean, feel free to let me know if you do need things like those tagged, but, starting now, I'm going to take it a little easier with the tags. very common triggers (blood, abuse, so on) will still be tagged, of course.
I think that's it? yeah. nice to be here again, it's much more relaxed and individualized than twitter! I think I almost felt intimidated by tumblr for a long time since it almost feels like posts need to have more "purpose" than tweeting on twitter. but, like, I'm older and give less of a shit now. my house, I post silly thing.

The jealousy theme seems to be a continuing theme in Carlitos' life and our conversations, and I have a couple of things to add on that (under the cut because this is probably gonna get long ajshsksj)👀
I'll start off by saying that THIS DIALOGUE TOO IS SO ON POINT. "You just had to bring that uo didn't you" - "sorry" ASJSKSSK i definitely can picture them!! Obviously all in good spirits, Jannik would never get mad at Carlitos for something like this and even if he did, Carlitos has a couple of powerful aces up his sleeve that can get him forgiven ajjsksksk
AND I READ THAT FIC (shocking, I know) and I LOVED IT (even more shocking, I know). When I read it I was wondering if Jannik would actually be up for a ploy like that, because he didn't really strike me as the type, but the more time passes the more convinced I get that Jannik is not as angelic as we think lmao AND that he can be a very jealous person (I know that I sound boring but I'll die on this hill), so a reverse version of that fic with Carlitos being the one to make Jannik jealous would work!! And Luchino, with all the history and the ifs and maybes, means added drama, so... why not?
BUT THIS GETS ME TO THE INTERESTING (I hope) PART OF MY ANSWER, which is what is going on in Alicante (or well, what was going on there in the past week). So some days ago I found an interesting article in an italian newspaper about Jannik's training in Alicante that featured a small interview to Francesco Passaro (another young italian player who was there to train with Jannik and that you've probably seen on Jannik's Insta a couple of days ago) and to OUR DEAR LUCHINO. This article offered me two important pieces of information:
Luchino left Alicante earlier than planned because he twisted his ankle and decided to come back to his hometown in Italy, so that's why we never had any content about him and we didn't see him training with Jannik (which is such a shame for so many reasons!!). Well it's not breaking news at this point, because - again- I'm so late, but at the time it was since no content about him in Alicante was coming up lol
Luca said (and here I quote):"Jannik and I have always got along, we are friends. Nowadays, since we speak the same language and I have spent some time with him, I feel closer to him than to Carlos Alcaraz".
SO!! WE HAVE UPDATES!! WE HAVE LUCA SAYING THAT HE AND JANNIK ARE FRIENDS!! THAT HE PREFERS JANNIK OVER CARLITOS NOW!! This is gold. This interview is more than I hoped for when I wrote that post about Luca and Carlitos that started all of this. But at the same time it kinda destroys all of our theories aksjsksjs From how I see it, there are two possible scenarios here:
It's the truth, so the ship (relationship or friendship, you decide) between Carlitos or Luca has kind of sunk, so Luca is definitely not harboring feelings for Carlitos anymore. BUT at this point I could already imagine a scenario where Luca doesn't get injured, stays in Alicante and Jannik, after finding out that Carlitos and his childhood friend have drifted apart, try to get them to talk again (not jealousy involved this time, he just tries to do something nice for his new friend and his bf)
Luca is kind of lying, things are worse than we expected and he is still hopelessly in love with Carlitos, so he said that to make Carlitos jealous (or in general he said it "bitterly" - not in a bad/malicious way tho, because I absolutely can't think of my baby boy trying to make Jannik and Carlitos break up, but that would definitely spicy things up aksjksks).
You know, the possibilities we have here are endless. AND TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE INTERESTING (and it's the last thing I'm gonna say here because this is getting long) there is a video that I'd like to point out to you. You've probably already have seen this, but it's Carlitos celebrating the winning goal of the annual JFC academy football match with Flavio Cobolli, yet another italian player (he played Luca in the Next Gen Finals and lost btw lol), the actual italian player Carlitos trained with this week (aside from Jannik of course). Soooo Carlitos jumping into his arms during the match? The same match that Jannik didn't partecipate in (but he could have, if he had wanted to)? THIS could get interesting too. This calls for other theories. This calls for Carlitos and Jannik making each other jealous with the help of Flavio and Luca without realising the other is doing the same thing (a scheme that might lead to Flavio and Luca falling in love with each other too? This is a complete random crackship I've just come up with, BUT WHY NOT?). This calls for Jannik pining so hard and bugging Luca about it. This opens the door to so many possibilities I won't list here because my head is starting to spin, but!!

I'm still trying to get the hang of the whole "posting content" thing, but I think providing a reading wrap-up every month will allow me a little more to work with. January was a fairly standard reading month. I was able to get through ten books, though I added quite a few to my TBR. Kind of had a mini heart attack when I realized that, according to my Storygraph, I have about 1,731 titles on there. Well, at least I know I'll never run short of reading material.

Sweep: The Story of a Girl and Her Monster by Jonathan Auxier - All I have to say is that the best kind of children's fiction tends to be the ones that expertly balance the harsh cruelties of life, especially during the Victorian era, with an unshakable sense of hope and a lot of heart. Sweep is one of those books that doesn't shy away from the reality and history of children in peril, but there is a warmness in its pages that comes from feeling and seeing the love and protection of dear ones long since passed. Definitely a bit of a tearjerker, but in a good way. (4/5)
The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu - (Review) (4/5)
Property of the Rebel Librarian by Allison Varnes - Looking at the world around us, this book couldn't be more relevant, as book bans are sweeping across schools and kids are left without a choice in what they want to read. Though it presents a somewhat simplistic scenario of censorship gone wild, it's definitely meant as an accessible way for young readers to be introduced to the process of book banning and what can be done to make your voice heard. (4/5)
Season of the Bruja Vol. 1 by Aaron Duran and Sara Soler - A really beautiful graphic novel that highlights the conflict of surviving indigenous traditions vs. religious colonialism. Stories that point out the hypocrisy and brutality of the Catholic church scratch such a good itch for me. The world is a little shaky though, not much is exactly explained and you almost need some prior knowledge of Mexican mythology going in, but it's worth checking out. (3/5)

The Ivory Key by Akshaya Raman - Though it takes a while to get going, The Ivory Key does have a great readability to it as the action finally kicks in about maybe halfway through. Up until then, the book spends a great deal laying the foundation of this world: tensions between cities, the role and history of magic in this society, the dynamics of the main characters. I will say, being introduced to at least seven different important characters in the span of 30 pages is a tad overwhelming at first, but it levels out the more you keep reading. While I did enjoy it, there was nothing particularly exemplary about the story that wowed me. The Indian-inspired setting and mythology makes it stand out, but everything else used the same tropes, beats, and twists that I've seen time and time over with little to add to them. I liked it enough to want to read the second book coming out later this year, but probably not enough to keep it on my personal shelf. (3/5)
Black Panther: The Young Prince by Ronald L. Smith - Read this one in a day and was fairly satisfied with it. It'll definitely appeal to middle grade readers looking for Marvel tie-in stories, as it has a quick pace and a good amount of action and mystery. For me, I don't think I enjoyed it enough to continue with the sequel, but it was nice to see a younger T'Challa and M'Baku out of their element away from Wakanda and how dynamic changed over the course of the book. (3/5)
Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim - For a book inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo, the story itself was incredibly simple and told fairly straight-forwardly, but I think that works in its favor. I'm at the point where I'm starting to tire of long-winded society dramas so I appreciated it for having a bit of focus. Everyone's motivation is clear, with a natural twist or two popping up along the way, plus a great amount of casual queerness. Though the world-building wasn't exactly intricate, there is a good sense of aesthetic and personality in the setting of Moray from its high status venues to the seedy gambling dens. I'm interested to see where the story goes in the sequel! (3.5/5)

I know that you've been posting about everything everywhere all at once and Monsterverse, but what's your actual opinion on it?
I love them both.
EEAAO I honestly need to reblog more content for cause it's a masterpiece of a film. Gosh, when I started watching it, I was a little thrown in the beginning, this was the film everyone's praising to high heaven? But, yes, it was so good. And it got better. I cried and laughed so much. It got so deep while being so zany and had amazing martial arts, gosh, EEAAO is one of a kind.
And the rocks scene was my favorite. I didn't think rocks could ever make me laugh and cry so hard.
I'm actually going to be giving it a rewatch very soon. I really loved the film.
As for Monsterverse, I also love it.
I am a girl with simple pleasures. I love kaijus and seeing monster fights. So I am here for films that give me giant monster battles, see the destruction and them duking it out. Monsterverse is my favorite action flick. It's a series I've rewatched the most as I just enjoy kaijus and seeing these giants fight. I'm very happy that it's being continued and I'm excited for the next one. I've also always liked Godzilla, but these films really made me a fan, and I'm planning on checking out some of the other films for Godzilla, and I'll be checking out Gamera soon too.
I will say, not every Monsterverse film is a favorite for me. Honestly, only one of them I didn't enjoy.
Godzilla 2014 is bottom of the barrel for me with these films, as cool as the final fight was, I couldn't say I enjoyed the movie as the whole thing felt like a constant tease. Always building up a huge fight and then cut away. I was actually getting so mad in theaters when I went to see it. And the worst part was that they'd cut away to focus on boring humans. I get that it's probably meant to be a nod to the first Godzilla and be more of a horror of humanity's first encounter with these beasts and the devastation they can cause with ease, but it was just not enjoyable. Maybe it would'be been better if there were more engaging people to follow as they were more of the focus, but what we got wasn't good.
I am curious for the show that's coming out, covering the aftermath of 2014. Maybe it'll improve the film for me.
Kong Skull Island I really liked. I actually just rewatched King Kong 2005, and I can say for sure I liked KSI a lot more. I appreciate it being a shorter film, and that I wasn't bored or cringing through the film (the giant leeches and bugs were the worst, hated every second of it). I can't speak for the older Kong films, most I knew was him on the skyscraper trying to bat at planes while holding onto a lady, so KSI was a refreshing different direction for Kong than what I previously knew. I'm pretty excited and intrigued for the upcoming Netflix Skull Island show, which hopefully will come this year as it was supposed to come last year. I'm actually very curious how brutal it'll be as Skull Island is the deadliest island in the whole wide world. Will they go a Camp Cretaceous route where the leads will survive but it's all suspense and horror driven? Or will there be actual death and loss? I'm so curious.
Now GKotM and GvK are probably tied as my favorite Monsterverse films. I had so much fun with both of them.
GKotM I loved seeing a modern take on Toho's other famous monsters, Mothra came out looking amazing, Rodan was actaully terrifying seeing the damage he could do just flying out of his volcano, and Ghidorah honestly stole the show. Makes me hopeful to see more hydras and giant dragons in the future. I swear, between Smaug and Ghidorah, I'm getting spoiled by dragons in media and now have a set standard for films. And many of the fights we got to see were big and epic and gosh, I honestly got to say that GKotM is probably the one I've rewatched the most as I enjoyed the monster fights here the most. This was actually the film that got me fully on board for Monsterverse.
GvK though gave some awesome fights as well, and what they have as an edge over GKotM in the fact that the fight scenes are crisp and clear and they had experimented with the lighting. This is also the film where I wound up liking Kong a lot, which of the famous kaijus, he wasn't high on my list. I'm also not one for mechas, but Mechagodzilla was actually pretty wicked looking. And the Ghidorah connection made it creepy. I actually heard that in the novelization of GvK that apparently Ghidorah might've possessed the pilot and is now walking around in a human body. I'll be curious to see if that detail comes back.
But yeah, big fan of Monsterverse, I'm happy and excited that we're getting more and I'm super curious to see who else may show up in the future films. I'm expecting Destroyah since they did drop an oxygen bomb in GKotM and I'm super curious to see a modern take on Destroyah as they have a very interesting design. I hope we'll get more of Mothra. I'd love to see Biolante. Gigan I know is also super popular.
There's a lot of possibilities and it's pretty exciting who may appear in future films. I also appreciate that Legendary seems to be listening to criticism and works to improve their films (2014 not enough Godzilla and monster fights, they delivered more of him and monster fights; GKotM too many monsters and hard to see, GvK slimmed it down and made sure you could see the fights better). They also seem to have some plan going forward with these films, so they're working pretty well as a film franchise so far. I am looking forward to more.

But I'm a writer, musician, and Zelda enthusiast! I write for Linked Universe mainly (Illegible_Handwriting on ao3) and I figured I should make a Tumblr, so here we are! The Chosen and the Champion (Switch gang tribute): Completed. A ton of Wild and Sky content because I saw Skyward Sword on Switch and went FUCK yes. This got off the rails very quickly. Just read all of them at this point, cuz I don't know what I'll bring back next. Chapter 20 and onwards is Exploring Sky's Hyrule.
Smoke & Ashes: Incomplete and in progress!! continues where C&C left off, with a huge fucking focus on Sky's adventure, specifically the end. However, unlike most fics, people are NOT very happy or forgiving with Sky. If you know, you know. VERY ANGST HEAVY. PLEASE READ ALL THE TAGS AND WARNINGS.
Like Mounds of Molten Gold: Incomplete and in progress!! Just a bunch of extra content for the C&C universe! I had my hopes up when the cook said she's his niece so I was hoping she'd have dark skin too but I forgot I'd already seen a cap from the next ep preview and she's white so rip. I do hope she becomes more part of the cast, other than her gurumin appearance, after she gets revealed to the kids so yoppii can show off her talent more. it's a super cool opportunity for her to do a show like pokemon after blowing up with bocchi so would be a shame if she didn't get more screen time, even if gurumin shows up every ep, her performance as dot will be different since it's basically a whole different chara

this episode added a LOT of scenes from tenza's backstory that just straight up weren't in the manga which was extremely cool to see, ofc you can say that was just to inflate the episodes lenght and make this fight/flashbacks sequence last a whole episode, and you'd probably be right, but it was still good. I know the anime has been a pretty cookie cutter loyal adaptation, without any real eye popping scenes of note, but at least with consistent quality since it's mappa, but seeing them do some original content like this actually gave me hope that maybe, just maybe, this adaptation can be a bit more than what it has been so far, I really hope so because Kaku deserves it
anyway next episode is guaranteed to be gabimaru at The Door, there's no episode next week so I'm hoping that means the fight there will have some sakuga but I know it's foolish to think so considering how the anime has been so far but a man can dream

Jojo: Hol Horse/Josuke Spinoff Ch16 (Finale)
the spinoff wasn't bad, I wasn't sure about it at first since hol horse and josuke seems like such a weird combination but it was nice seeing these familiar characters again. the art wasn't anything crazy but I think it was serviceable, unlike mega who seemed to dislike it. the story was pretty simple, hol horse goes to morioh to find a parrot, meets josuke cause "stand users are attracted to each other" and jojo stuff happens. my favourite bits of the spin off was all the looks at dio we got from the perspective of his goons from part 3. ofc this spinoff isn't canon or anything but it was still neat seeing that.
if you like jojo, you'll most likely like this spinoff and it's only 16 chaps so doesn't even take that long to read.

The Villain Named Gravity: Chapter 1
This is something I posted on AO3, and figured I could post it here too. It's going to be multi-chapter story about you and 3 ocs of mine (who are you best friends in the story) getting isekaied to the world of Genshin Impact. Genshin impact character won't show up until at least chapter three.
Summary: When the world starts to fall apart, the four genius will not allow its passing without at least trying to prevent it. But after a single miscalculation of the geodesic equation, the four of you end up in a world you know nothing about.
Your only objective to protect your friends. You could care less about anyone else.
So then... Why is it that the longer you stay here, the more difficult it becomes to see the two wanderers hurt...?

You're a psychopathic genius who gets isekaied to the world of Genshin impact with your three also genius yet chaotic friends. There, Tomoaki and Kazuha crosses path with you, leading you to a spiral of insanity.
Warnings: DARK CONTENT, reader is psychopathic, read is manipulative, it'll mostly be cheerful (especially in the first few chapters), ooc, mild dubious consent, no genshin characters will show up in the first two chapters, enemies to lover, friends to lovers, a lot of scientific jargon, reader is female, female pronouns, don't know if I'll actually commit to continuing the story so be prepared... do not interact if any of the above makes you uncomfortable. I'm not used to tumblr yet so my first few posts may not look as pretty. Sorry about that. (Many of these are for the story as a whole, this chapter is pretty tame.)

This was the end.
The world crumbled under your feet. The screams of people could be heard from all four directions that the winds blew from, the sky wept tears of acid, burning your cheeks as it mixed with your tears. It was over, that’s probably what you would have thought as you stared at the despair that filled the world you once loved, the signs of apocalypse stretching to the horizon.
That was until you heard the familiar voices behind you.
“Crap! Crap! Crap! The fuse blew up!”
“Guys, where did you put the geiger counter?! Kind of in the middle of something here?!”
“Uhm, I think I forgot to square the denominator? The electric field seems… wrong?”
You turned back towards your three friends, all working on the different aspects of the machine you had built together. The machine that became the final hope of this dying world you once called home. After a second of collecting your thoughts, you rushed towards them, grabbing an extra fuse that rested on top of the work table along the way.
“Did you guys calculate the geodesic correctly?! Remember that the geometry of space-time will change once we activate the machine! If we want to end up in the correct time period–”
“I’ll get on that as soon as I’m done here!” Your friend who was fixing the blown fuse screamed. He was always considered the leader of your friend group, often being the one to gather everyone, even gathering people for this elaborate and improbable plan, “Toss those extra wires and fuse and I’ll get around to it! You go ahead and make sure the gravitational force is correct!”
You nodded at your leader then tossed him some wires, as well as the fuse you picked up along the way. He catches it without looking, giving you a small nod of appreciation, and getting to work immediately.
“Are you sure?” Another friend of yours pauses, looking away from his geiger counter that he found under the chair he was working on. This one was often the most logical, the ‘calm one’ as you had dubbed in your thoughts, “She’s better at general relativity, she should be the one to–”
“We don’t have time!” The leader yelled, “She’s the only one who actually understands the amount of gravitational force we’ll need! We all understand the geodesic equations!”
The calm friend frowned, but decided that arguing would get him nowhere and went back to his own work. After listening in on their conversations, you rushed over to the computer screen filled with numbers and equations that had practically been glued to your brain. You started with the calculations. Everything must be perfect. Not even a single mistake would be allowed… In the meantime, the last friend finished calculating the electric field and she jumped up from her chair with the clipboard. She was always the cheerful one of the group, one in charge of lighting up the mood when everyone seemed down. “Eureka! I got it! Leave the electromagnetic forces to me!” She rushed over to the computer right next to yours, and started typing away.
“Fixed the fuse and got the geodesic.” Your leader smirked in satisfaction as he turned to the rest of the group, “Status update?!”
“Gravitational force seems correct!” You exclaimed.
“Electric fields were adjusted accordingly!” Your cheerful friend exclaimed next to you, her bubbly voice cheering up the room in an instant.
“The radiation seems fine, the lagrangian of electroweak force seems fine…” Your calm friend who was staring at the geiger counter and his phone simultaneously mumbled under his breath, looking calm compared to the rest of the group members.
The leader nodded in satisfaction, “Alright, it’s now or never then.”
That comment made you realize just how much louder the screams were compared to just a few minutes earlier. At this very moment, the world you all lived in is dying away, killed by the greed of humanity, unable to sustain life that depended on it. That was when the four of you decided that the best course of action would be to try and save the world using all of your brilliance. The four geniuses agreed to create a time machine, hoping to stop the destruction of your world before it even started.
The leader activated the machine, making a loud noise that made you jump 5 feet in the air from surprise. Everything should be perfect, every calculation, every component, no mistakes could be forgiven.
That was, until the four of you started noticing the abnormal behaviors from the machine. Excessive heat, discomforting noises, and the sense that everything was going out of control…
It was too late to stop the machine, the last thing you heard were the screams of your friends, the last thing you saw were bright lights, and then the world fell silent. Everything seemed lost, the four people who could have saved the world had failed.
That was what you thought, oh, how very wrong you were.

“....W… p…. Wake up darn it!”
You woke up on a hill that sang with the birds above, and the first thing you saw was infinite blue. How strange, it almost looks like the blue sky you used to admire, before the corruption of mankind turned it red. You blinked a couple of times before scanning your surroundings, though your vision was still blurred. Eventually, your eyes cleared up to reveal three familiar faces.
“....You guys?” You whispered before sitting up on the soft green grass. Your body aches all over, making you wince, but the soft breeze on your skin and the fresh air made you feel a little bit better.
“Aaah! I thought you died! I’m so glad!!” The cheerful friend throws her hands around you and starts sobbing, while your other two argues in the background.
“Told you we should have left the geodesic equation to her.”
“I said I was sorry, okay?! We made it back in time so does it really matter?!”
“My body hurts, so yeah, kinda.”
You watched the three chaos unfold in front of you and chuckle a little. This made your three friends baffled. All of that danger they put you through, and you were laughing? After chuckling to yourself a bit, you gave them a warm smile, a smile you haven’t shown since the world started falling apart.
“I’m glad I have you guys, you know?”
The cheerful friend looked more emotional than before and started wailing as she hugged you tighter. You regretted making her more emotional than she was before, because now you couldn’t breathe. The leader grinned in satisfaction at your response while the calm one looked away, with a tint of pink covering his cheeks. Though neither of them bothered helping you get out of the deathening grip of the cheerful one’s love.
“See? At least someone appreciates all the work I put in!” The leader hissed at your calm friend, “And we’re back in time before the world went to shit, so mission accomplished right?!”
Your calm friend looked around, his analyzing eyes sent shivers down your spine. You knew that it was never a good sign when he had those looks in his eyes. “...Not so fast, I don’t think we actually ended up where we wanted to.”
“What do you mean?” Your friend who finished bawling her eyes out finally lets go of you, allowing you to finally breathe a little.
“I mean, just look at it.” He pointed ahead into the distance, after following his gaze, you quickly realized what he meant and gasped in horror. Up ahead was not the city the four of you were just in, but instead a strange city you have never even seen before. No, specifically speaking, you have seen something similar before, but never in person. The black tiled roof on top of cemented walls, cherry blossoms filling all the spaces between the buildings, the large building decorated in purple… It almost looks like…
“Feudal Japan…?” You mumbled under your breath. At this point, the confident smile of your leader faded, replaced by an expression of worry, panic, and regret.
“What the fuck did I dooooo?!” He screamed as he held his head with both hands.
“Calm down! It was an accident, right?” The calm friend broke out of his usual cool nature, worried that the leader blames himself for the situation.
“Weren’t you making fun of him a little while ago?” Your happy friend giggled, though you hear the hint of worry mixed with her bubbly voice. You watched the three of them interact with panic from a distance. Realizing that staring blankly at your panicky friends won’t make the situation any better, you decided to check your surroundings once more.
But as soon as you tried to get up, you noticed that something fell off of your lap. Confused, you looked down towards the grass to check. By your side was a circular and black gem that had something that looked like the center of gravity symbol inside it. The glass itself was decorated with some sort of metal frame, and it had a substantial amount of weight. You were sure that nothing like this existed in the lab you four were working in a few minutes ago, so you assumed it found itself on your lap when you were teleported here.
“Hey guys check this out.” You called, and your three friends decided to pause their bickering for a small moment to look at the gem inside your hand.
“What is this?” The calm friend mumbled, tracing his index finger on the surface of the gem.
“It looks cool, like an anime merch!” The cheery friend giggled.
“Hey wait a minute!” The leader paused, “I saw something similar to this earlier! Just a sec…” He rushes over towards the patch of ground he was standing on and fishes out another gem from between the grass. His gems, instead of being black, were red with symbols of atoms inside.
“Lol! Yours has a diagram of an atom on it!” The cheerful friend chuckled. The leader pouted playfully.
“Well I like atoms! I’m an atomic physicist after all! So I think it fits! And better than not having a cool anime-merch.”
“Anime-merch…” The clam friend mumbled under his breath as he reached into his pant pocket. He shuffled around a bit before pulling out another gem, a green one with the GHS hazard pictogram inside. This made all of you laugh.
“You’re radioactive! You’re radioactive!” The leader grinned, and the clam friend shook his head in disbelief. He turned to your cheery friend, which made her let out a little “oh” before she began searching around her. Eventually, she found a blue gem which had symbols of what seemed to be lightning and magnet on it on the ground she was standing by.
Staring at the four gems, you think for a little bit, before a sudden realization hits you.
“Gravity, electromagnetism, strong force and weak force…” You whispered. The calm friend nodded in agreement.
“Huh? What? What’s going on? I’m not following.” The leader panicked. The calm friend sighed in disbelief.
“You know? For someone labeled a genius by everyone, you’re not very bright, are you?”
“Shut up! I’m good at physics! Not cryptic words!”
“So, what about the four fundamental forces?” The cheery friend asks you, and you nod.
“All these gems are corresponding to a fundamental force we’re most familiar with. My research is on general relativity and gravity, so I got gravity…”
“And my research is on radioactive decay caused by the nuclear weak force,” The calm friend added, “So I got the nuclear weak force.”
“Oooh! I see!” The cheery friend grinned, clapping her hands in delight, “Since my research is focused on building circuits, I'm electromagnetism!”
“So… I’m The strong force? Since my research is AMO with an emphasis on the elementary particles?” The leader laughs, proudly, “Ahaha! Alright! I’m the strongest!”
You nod at him with a slight smile on your face, “As you should.”
The leader seemed encouraged by your affirmation and he announced to the rest of the group, “Guys! I’ve decided! Until we finish our mission of saving our world! Let’s call each other by the names given to us by this anime merch! Thus, from now on, my name is ‘Strong Force!’ Let it be a reminder that we, the four geniuses, are the savior of the world! Ahaha! Didn’t I sound cool?”
Your calm friend, who was to be known as the Weak Force, shook his head in disbelief, as your cheery friend now named Electromagnetism cheered with excitement.
And you, now you were to be known as Gravity, the weakest of the four fundamental forces. But you didn’t mind, after all, you knew that your strength didn’t come from raw power, even before you ventured into this world.
Your strength is your audacity. Audacity to stand strong, even if you’re the weakest.

People don't often interact with my #just thinking posts so Idk if people ever see it at all, but even then, I wanna throw this out there and just keep myself accountable.
Warning for Anxieties, implied suicidal ideation, academic stress
This is a post about some of my current struggles, I'm not talking about that in depth—the main point is more hopeful I think—but the topic is there.
there's been this song I've been listening on loop to recently; Look at the Sky by Porter Robinson. It's really sweet, and really nice and alongside, Something Comforting, Get Your Wish, and You are Enough (which, unlike the others is by Sleeping at last) it's a really uplifting and encouraging set of songs that has helped me out a lot in encouraging me through my studies.
As the semester comes to an end however, the stress continues to build and grow and with it, my panic and fear.
I have no official diagnoses, but I know well enough that there's something askew in there. A little tender part that's vulnerable to failure and stress and so many other things.
And this is why I just keep coming back to Look at the Sky.
It's the chorus.

It reads like a promise to me. Mainly because of the second line.

I'll keep myself here, today so I can make it to next year.
Idk. Porter Robinson mentions how it's about the creative cycle of taking in other people's work to create a new tapestry of creativity, but I always linger on this song for my studies rather than any of my creative writing.
I'm not very good at what I'm studying at, and I can't help but associate my talent in the field with how much I should like it. The study is interesting, and when I'm not constantly worrying about failing projects or failing quizzes or failing exams, the content is fascinating and fun to learn.
But I don't do well on the assignments.
I'm not failing. I'm not so horribly behind on all my assignments that I know that I'll fail or something, but I can't help but feel the need to get at least 90% on everything. It's fear driven I think. My parents wanted that of me when I was a child. the sentiment continues to linger on in me.
I didn't do so great on a single assignment this time. It's for a project—one I need to complete in order to pass the class at all. But I messed up on the formatting and I left a few tails undone at the end. It was incredibly rushed and a miracle that I had it finished at all, but I still can't help the sickening feeling that I should have done better. Even if I was staying up way past what was healthy for me, something that would cause me general dizziness and heavy sickness later on in the day, I still felt like I should have exerted myself more to check up on it and get it nice and pretty and polished.
I haven't gotten my grade back for that assignment yet. and I can't help but feel sick thinking about it.
I know that logically, the portion of my grade that would be affected might be pretty small, and I've done pretty well in the rest of my assignments. I'll probably be able to pass the class.
Still I can't help the feeling that If I don't do perfect on every single assignment, I will fail.
I have to hand in a physical copy of the assignment tomorrow, I felt so sick going back over my digital copy— forced to look at all of my sloppy and messy mistakes. I felt fear looking at it.
I felt a lot of things, really. Nasty, dark and irrational things.
But...
I'm still here.
I'll continue to try and be here tomorrow too. And the day after that. I'll make it to next year.
And even if I don't do great in that class, I can still make it to the degree I want. It'll take a little stress and struggle, but I'll get there eventually.
And until then, I can still make good things—I can write the little stories, and one shots and fanfics that make me happy.

I think I acted a bit pissy in that one blog update. Sorry about that.
I'll just say as much as I need to -- I'm still not in the right headspace to work on any SCU stuff. I'm unhappy with it, both with its continuity and with its staff. I wouldn't be able to do any SCU art or writing without my attitude seeping into it and making it reek of spite.
Edit: If I let myself have some time away from it, maybe I wouldn't mind just writing some SCU fics. But that depends, so I'm not promising anything.
So for the time being, I just want to just do some casual art to fill the blog back up.
I'm not too sure about officially opening requests, but if you have an idea for something I should draw, feel free to shoot it my way. My asks are open.
I'll just draw regular Game!Sonic fanart, nothing with the comics or movies, and if I do Sonic fanart for anything else it'll just be for people's fancomics/fanfics.
I'm thinking of also doing some fanart for other franchises, there's a few that I really like even though I'm not in the fanbase. On that note, I should probably do some Akira art, since I'm just as big a fan of that as I am of Sonic.
On top of wanting to have more fun making art, I also want to have more fun with the blog itself, so from time to time I'll post whatever I want. Within reason -- nothing that needs a content warning put on it. But I'll post whatever I feel like sharing.
(Not that it excuses being a bit of an ass, it's just an explanation, but I think I was so irritated because I'm behind on a T dose. I can get a bit nasty when that happens.)
