unrequited love w/jean feels like the calm rain after a storm. you answered his call while eren was doing homework after putting it off for hours (and after eren made you cum so hard you couldn't focus). jean was frantic, asking what the hell you were thinking sending him that text while he was with mikasa. tears filled your eyes as you tried to apologize, but jean wouldn't let you. his words became harsh, telling you that there's no way he felt any sort of romantic connection. there was a long pause and you sniffled. you tried again to apologize through your tears, but couldn't get any words out. his tone became softer then, and you could feel your heart shatter as jean stated that the two of you were done as friends. before you could say anything, before you could fight to keep your friendship intact, he hung up. that's when you started to sob. all of your worst fears came to light. the reason you had been so terrified to tell your true feelings to him. you were afraid of losing him...and now you had. the outcome can't be worse than the heartbreak...what a fucking joke. eren holds you as you cry, rubbing your back and peppering gentle kisses on your forehead. "fuck him. you told him your feelings and this is how he reacts? think you dodged a bullet." he wraps his blankets around you and cups your cheek in his hand, wiping your tears. "i'll kick his ass for you, just say the word." you laughed through your sobs and rested your head on his shoulder. you texted connie and sasha and told them everything, that you would probably not be part of the friend group for a while. "you mind if i stay here another night..?" "you could stay here forever if you wanted. like having you around...plus your pussy tastes amazing." you hit him with a pillow as he laughs. your heart was broken, but atleast you didn't have to wonder what if every time you looked at jean. you didn't have to lose sleep dreaming of a future that didn't exist. you could continue to focus on you and what made you happy.
jean was an idiot. he fucked up a multiple year long friendship and for what? didn't notice your absence in the friend group for what? said all of those hurtful things for what? for mikasa ackerman, the girl who only used him to make her ex jealous? she didn't care about his feelings, dropping the red scarf that he bought for her on their first date off at his dorm and walking away. leaving a devastated and heartbroken man to pick up the pieces. connie and sasha were comforting, but it wasn't you. you, the person who was beside him through every rough patch in his life. who encouraged him to do his best at everything he tried. who was in love with him for years and he was too blinded by a crush to notice. he tried to call you, but you didn't answer. he texted you instead.
jean: i'm sorry.
jean: i've been such a shitty friend to you, but i wanna make it up to you (y/n). please let me make it up to you, i don't wanna lose you.
jean: i fucked up so bad and didn't realize that the perfect woman was there for me through everything. i love you. i love you and i was too blind to notice.
jean: you don't have to respond now, i know its a lot...but i hope you can forgive me for being such an asshole..
jean knew it had been a while (a few months in fact) since the two of you had talked, hell had hung out, but he hoped that you would forgive him. he needed you to forgive him. an hour goes by. then two. then three. his texts still said delivered when he checked his phone the next morning, before he went to his first class. he had hoped to find you during lunch with connie and sasha, but they didn't know where you were either. he had gone to your dorm, but was surprised to see someone else there. he asked the girl (who he then realized was ymir; a girl in his world history class) where you went. she said that you had switched dorm rooms and roommates with her a month prior. the switch got ymir living with her girlfriend historia, but she didn't mention who your roommate was. jean thanked her and walked off, mind racing. he needed to talk to you. he called you multiple times, but his calls went missed and his texts still went unanswered. as he walked back to his dorm, feeling defeated, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. an unknown number had sent him a video message. confused, jean opened the text.
the first thing he noticed was the harsh bouncing of your breasts and his mind went blank. he could hear your moans; high pitched and whiny combining with the aggressive sound of skin slapping against skin. "eren! S' so good! So big 'ren!" the camera flipped and jean was met with eren jaeger's dark cyan eyes. his hair was down and although jean couldn't really tell with the movement, he knew eren was grinning. the camera panned back to you and got a close up of your face; eyes rolled in the back of your head, tongue lolling out of your mouth. "one more time sweetheart, who's dick is making you feel this good?" "S' you eren! love your dick so much!" "yeah, you love me?" "so much eren! love you, love you!" the video ended there and jean couldn't focus, couldn't breathe. couldn't gather his thoughts before another text was sent to him.

the therapy scene hits a special nerve like good for him but oh my god. i cant actually think of any other examples, but i feel like ive seen too many things decide that the way to portray healing as a difficult nonlinear thing is to. directly state “This is going to be complicated and hard!” and then not actually show it being complicated or hard now that they’ve acknowledged it. like dude all we actually see in that ending is just him being happy. you really made it seem like he is just Fine now. guys. guys what happened to his everything

Brainrot solely on twilight hours so here we go!
Trust building with him. It first started off with Wolfie. You’re giving him some of the best scratches and going on and on about something. Which started to become a sight at camps or the such. Simply because your ramblings seem to lull him to some much needed sleep.
You’d talk about some of the random shit to exist. Especially if you’re a Modern!Reader. Talking about random scientific facts— like how the yellow petals on sunflowers are actually more akin to leaves than real petals. The flowers is the fuzzy large middle.
Or, if you’re someone who just go pulled out of a Hyrule and thrown with the chain, some facts about your home. Maybe a festival is happening or about the terrain.
Point is; it’s relaxing. It’s nice! And Twilight appreciates it even since everyone is usually more loose around animals.
And then one day the topic switches to him. And it’s whiplash because w h o a— where did this come from? Where went the usual topics? Did he do something?
Yes! But it’s positive, you swear. Because it’s really just you happily admitting that you feel safe near him. Of course, you feel safe around everyone but you feel like he needs to be told that.
I think I said in another brainrot to cloudninetonin about just throwing out a random “I’d trust that man with my drink” and then him asking what it means. And basically, yeah. That’s really what I keep thinking about.
Just the overwhelming realization that you trust him enough to hand him an item you’re usually cautious with.

Twilight builds his relationships off of trust and communication and you bet your ass Reader shakes the shit out of him whenever they wanna talk. Either about a fixation or something that happened or just to hear him talk.

He would seek out to show his trust in you as much as you show your trust in him, both in conversation and battle!

ok so. mayhaps i am talking out of my ass here, i havent rly fathomed the whole album yet, and there are songs i associate w/ a variety of ships/fic ideas. BUT more songs fic sargewood than any other ship so. allow me to explain.
this is all speculative to taylor swift’s life so its not #confirmed but allegedly this album is abt leaving long term relationship she felt trapped in (joe), and then rebounding in a short term fling (matty). if we look at these songs through the lens of joe=f1 and matty=indycar, therefore kyle, this is how i fathom these songs in a sargewood way.
OBVIOUSLY this does not work for many of the songs, but for the ones it does it is so compelling. also she broke up with matty anyway and he allegedly SUCKS so i’m only rly considering “early relationship” songs here.
Fresh out the slammer is probably the best example: leaving a relationship and immediately knowing where you’re going next. if logan doesn’t have a future in f1, indycar /is/ the place to go, and kyle is his connection. if he gets dropped, you KNOW kyle is one of the first people he’s calling

LAST SONG i’m using for this thesis, but i’m not ruling out fathoming more as sargewood through the joe=f1 matty=indy/kyle lens. it’s a long ass album, i’m employed, i can only do so much
BUT LETS TALK FORTNIGHT
this fathoming was key to me liking this song. HOWEVER while the last two can be fathomed as sargewood in general, fortnight fits a specific fic idea i have where i need to explain some lore first.
logirlie historians will know how after the 2020 f3 season, logan was in a sort of a limbo career wise before he got the call from williams and we know where it goes from there. in this time he was testing for indy, thinking his european racing career was basically over.
so the fic idea. kyle & logan have always had a bit of a ~non platonic connection~ but neither has acted on it due to the distance etc etc. but in this short period of time (a fortnight, perhaps 👀), when its looking like logan might be heading to indycar, the dam breaks and they have a short fling that is more serious than either will admit after, when it ends when logan goes back to f3.
The ACTUAL fic would be years later, where logan leaves f1 and goes to indycar in 2025(?). years have passed, and they've stayed friends this whole time so it /should/ be fine, but now that the distance is no longer an issue all those old feelings come bubbling right up to the surface. they could, of course, just communicate and get together easy peasy but that wouldn't be a fun fic would it? of COURSE it'd be messy.
I haven't written anything, it's more of just a nebulous concept rn and idk if it'll ever go anywhere but it is ALL i think abt when listening to fortnight. The florida and car reference in the bridge is just the cherry on top

how do you think the urvive kids would have dealt with the main enemies of, i dunno, adventure (1999)
I think it would be really funny if they just hit Myotismon and Machinedramon with an uno reverse card. Just like "well my partner is the same Digimon but better, soo..."
Before I keep talking I wanna clarify that rather than looking at this as "Adventure enemies but in Survive" I'm thinking more like "Survive kids but in Adventure"
I think the Devimon arc would be interesting bc the Survive kids are older and more cautious so I feel like tricks like the mansion illusion wouldn't work as well on them? But also as a "first boss" I think they might also be less united than the Adventure crew. I feel like they'd either roll a nat 20 in persuasion and win Ogremon to their side way earlier on or like straight up kill him instead of just temporarily defeating him tho so in that sense the Devimom fight would be easier for them. I like to think the former would happen tho and then it would just be a matter of like kicking that demons ass as a crew instead of winning by any sort of last minute evolution.
I'm having such a hard time imagining the Etemon arc with these kids. I feel like even though they're not stupid and obviously they would understand the danger, as more modern age kids I can't imagine they wouldn't find Etemon at least a little bit silly. Like Minoru would so laugh his ass off they first they meet the funky singer chimp.
Assuming they would also be undergoing a "find the crests" arc I feel like they would argue significantly more than the adventure crew. Stay on file island vs go to server, focus on crests vs focus on kicking Etemon's ass. Ironically I think having our MC with an Agumon throwdown with monkey man and end up in the real world would just happen exactly like in Adventure?
But then after that like...without the fog forcing them to stay together and w all their arguments leading up to this point I think they'd kinda fall apart. Similar to Adventure again but this time they're not just splitting up to find a friend they just kinda can't stand each other rn so the "bring everyone back together arc" def has to happen before they can face off w myotismon.
Although the stakes for them would be way different than in adventure bc there's no 8th kid they're looking for or anything so I think it would be more fun if they all just like
Well a) underwent a crest activation arc but ALSO just had a friendship arc. Yknow like gained some perspective in their time apart and then really bonded when they got back.
While I still stand by that uno reversing myotismon by killing him with a different myotismon would be hilarious, I GUESS they could just use the power of friendship or whatever instead :/
Except actually fuck it if Adenture could have random kids getting a "bippity boppity deus ex machina, bitch" moment and soloing the main boss then so can the Survive kids so actually yeah they should be allowed to kill the vampire with a better vampire.
Speaking of the anime power of friendship I really want them to just kick puppetmon's ass with a genuine coordinated group attack. Like idk considering the whole thing with that guy was "oh he's weak bc he has no friends" it's a little weird that in adventure he was ultimately killed by one (1) angsty boy who was NOT being a team player at the time. It would be fun if the payoff for everyone becoming besties was just flawless teamwork yknow. I also think that being able to strategize like that would be a neat way to set the Survive cast apart from the Adventure cast.
I STILL want to uno reverse machinedramon so badly.
I genuinely can't even remember what actually happened with metalseadramon. I think he dies first out of the dark masters, yeah? Like he kills whamon and then Tai wrecks his shit? Honestly I think ANY Survive kid could solo that guy. I don't even care which one. Whoever is the most violent in that moment. Maybe Aoi bc he just murdered a friend in front of them. Or Miu bc mega level marine digimon vs mega level marine digimon.
Piedmon uuuuh. Well he's different from Survive Piedmon so instead of getting soloed by Takuma maybe he can be our fancy dancy Omegamon moment.
Apocalymon idk would just be the equivalent of the master tbh. Maybe they could even have a heart to heart to with him yknow like instead of totally blowing him up they could like kick his ass a little and then be like "but what if you weren't evil" and he could be like "oh shit you're right" and they all live happily ever after ksjsnd

Hiii Shadow I just wanna talk about some moresome trans rancher headcanons <3
I headcanon that because Tango is a blaze/human hybrid finding medical care is really difficult, so Zedaph agreed to be his doctor in exchange for it being allowed to do unethical experiments on him. And Tango doesn't care because Zed would've found a way to experiment on him either way, and this way he gets a free doctor out of it. So among other things, Zed was the one who made him his hrt (hrt for blaze/human hybrids didn't exist yet so he had to design it, Tango was harmed many times during the testing process but that's okay he made it out with working customized T and free top surgery)
So skip to the hermitpires crossover, Jimmy comes out as transfemme and Tango's just like. Do you need hrt cause I know a guy. So once they're on Hermitcraft together Tango introduces Jimmy and Zed and it's very silly and fun, but Tango brings up that Jimmy needs hrt and she has no way of getting it for herself (I have weird rules I've designed for Empires, Jimmy can't leave the server to get medical care but Tango is able to bring her things because he's able to fully travel to any server he knows the address of). So Zed agrees because she wouldn't even need to work that hard seeing as the prescription already exists, he would just need to get it.
So Zed is just Jimmy's hrt supplier and it's so fun to me <3 They haven't met aside from when they were both on Hermitcraft, but when Tango comes over with her prescription they can just be like "Oh btw Zed says hi" "Aw how's it been lately?? Tell her I say hi :D"
I wrote a short fic about this months ago that never saw the light of day, it isn't great but maybe someday I'll rewrite it to where I'd officially post it. But Zed's weird ass relationship with Tango is so important to me and I just love them dragging Jimmy into it

No surprises that The Collector went and transformed the Boiling Isles into Weirdmageddon, a la kiddie cosmic style!
Of course, Raine would get flustered over Harpy Eda, who wouldn't?
Poor Hunter, he has every right to be on edge, he just lost his first ever friend and now he has to switch into vengeance mode!

this fandom makes me feel so freaking guilty about being a Billy stan and shipping mungrove. I can literally make an entire book about all the tiktoks and posts I've seen about people bashing Billy stans because billy is racist and what not. (I am black myself) and honestly, I don't see anything wrong with billy yet people make me feel so guilty for liking his character. i've got a long ass post or two about how ppl talk about this shit and how their whole dogpiling on billy stans is just wildly ignorant to how these kinds of things like ??? work??? like if you're walking in with the assumption he's racist that's not??? fucking baked in???? to his dna???? and their behavior is the kind of thing that makes people double down on their shitty beliefs if they have them so like, they're REALLY not helping ANYONE. it's just performative bullshit at the expense of real people's well being.
in my book mungrove is THE ship of the show any they never got screentime in the same fucking season LOL and no screaming dipshits are gonna change that. same with my liking billy. dacre put a beautiful job into breathing life and depth into what was going to be the most embarrassingly basic henry bowers rip off and if they lack the fucking brainpower to respect that then i don't got time for em.
there's a huge amount of eddie stans that are truly vile to everyone who's not a rabid steddie stan i mean they're fucking coming after chrissy and grace too and literally trying to incriminate her with doctored screencaps to make her look racist. these people are just disgusting as people and they think they can get away with it bc they're a big group and they're in the "moral right" when really they're just 00s yaoi fans by another name who violently hate women who "get in the way of their ship" and can't stand anything with more depth than what their stereotyped shit allows and don't like competition.
personally, as someone who's been seeing this shit online since i was like, 12 in the 00s anime geosites era i just block, delete and ignore. either they grow the fuck up or they don't and in that case i hope they get so toxic their accounts get deleted bc they earned that.

Despite her loudly declared dislike of Christmas, Petal had once again joined the Smith family for the holiday. This time it wasn't as unexpected as the previous year, since everyone had been suspecting that she would have been their guest once again, but no one mentioned it.
No need to get on her bad side by pointing out how she seemed to enjoy the festivity deep down.
Summer and Morty had been prepared this year. They had gotten their present for her a couple of weeks in advance, which meant that they also had the time to wrap them properly.
Summer was the first to approach the Gem, dropping a purple package in her lap. There was no thread or ribbon, nothing that could suggest a connection to Christmas. Inside, there was a black T-shirt, slightly ripped on the sides and under the collar, punk style, sporting a bright pink inscription that spelled "Queen Bitch".
"Merry random day of the year," the redhead exclaimed with a giggle, clinking her beer can against Petal's, before working away to leave room to his brother, so that he too could drop off his presents.
"Uh, I-I'm not making a big deal about it, j-just I wanted to get you a present. 'C-Cause I felt like to," Morty rushed to say, very well aware that, by wording it in that way, he was definitely putting the accent on that specific occasion, but he still hoped that the pearl wouldn't call him out on it. "S-So, uh, happy...un-Christmas?"
His gift was wrapped in emerald green paper and was bigger than Summer. Under the paper, there was a cardboard box, filled with accessories for Midnight. A new bowl, some high quality dry and wet food and a few interactive toys. He knew that the Gem had never bought her feline companion anything, so he had figured that he could do it for her.
The last to approach her was Rick. The scientist dropped down next to her on the couch, wordlessly passing her a fresh can of beer, before taking a swing from his own. His free hand slipped underneath his lab coat and he pulled out two tickets written in an obscure alien language.
"I-If you wanna bail this boring shit after dinner, w-we could go and have a look at this," he offered with a shrug. It was a place he had meant to check out for a while, but he had preferred waiting to have company. It seemed the kind of thing that could be more fun with a friend.
"I-It's like a super kinky sex dungeon, b-but you can choose between sex and violence for every room you pick. P-Plenty of options. I-I know a guy who's been there, s-someone who's not easy to impress, an-and he fuckin' loved it. T-Totally worth a try, if you ask me."

Though petal would never voice it outloud she had looked forward to this celebration. Deep down her hatred for christmas came out of jealousy. Others being able to spend the holiday surrounded by others that cared about them. It took awhile for petal to accept but now she knew. She wasn't alone anymore.
Meeting the smiths had been the best thing that ever happened to her. Sure she wouldn't voice that exactly but at this point she had made her feelings known. Either by doing countless favors for the three of them or saving their asses on more than one occasion. Not to mention all the fun adventures she'd taken them on.
Petal was more than appreciative of the gift summer decided to give her. A grin stretching across her face once she ripped apart the paper. Laying her sights on the shirt in question. "Killer." She replied as she gazed admiringly at the ripped garment. "Totally fits with my style. Thanks summer." She replied before taking it and placing it in her pocket dimension for safe keeping.
"Yeah sure whatever you say morty." She responded with an eyeroll but it was clear from her more relaxed expression that she wasn't teasing him too much. A warm smile graced her features once she opened his present. "Oh nice! Midnight is gonna love this." Right on cue she reached into her gem. Pulling out the cat from her pocket dimension.
A lot of the time she just had the cat chilling in there. That way the petals inside her gem could take care of him. Plus it offered him more warmth and comfort than the cave they'd lived in for the longest time. She had only started looking for apartments now since she kinda had a new lease on life after having her memories wiped for all those months.
"Here you go little buddy. Look what morty got you." With that she just placed him in the box to chill alongside his new toys and various other cat items. So far petal had been mostly feeding him fish. Not fish flavored cat food but literal fish that she'd caught with her bare hands.
"You're a fucking lifesaver rick." She spoke as she grasped at the tickets. "I'm totally bailing with you. I just know jerry's gonna be playing the most corny christmas shit known to man. Hopefully I can play some actually half decent movies for you guys but I'm not gonna be here to suffer through your dad's worst picks." She laughed shrugging afterwards. "This might end of being one of the better christmases I've had."

Since I doubt anybody who actually knows my ass is keeping tabs on this thin' n ain't fer a while, I'ma just write shit here. Cuz fuck it, I'm drunk, I'm tired, n I'm sick a just bitchin' ta some stupid phone note app tryna pretend like that'll make everythin' okay. This is a fuckin' blog n dammit I'ma scream ta the void if it kills me. Feels a lil like all I got left anyway; a goddamn void.
Damn suicidal ideation. They don't really explain that one, in my experience. Ideations ta mean ideas, right? So ur brain's just havin' the idea bout killin' urself. Well fuck, that ain't that hard ta have, right? Lotta people get that either as a relic from their high school days or from readin' jokes on the internet or just as a passin' idea that ain't meanin' shit. Sounds pretty fuckin' mundane n the way I've seen professionals respond ta it in the past? I'd think they'd agree.
But idk when it's serious. Like, yeh, my head jumps ta dyin' if I think bout how trapped I feel in the day ta day life n how dead-end everythin' feels. Fuck, just the phrase "dead-end" feels like it implies death right there, but I get it, it's a stretch. Figure a speech, whatev. But it does, it's all dead-end, or least shit-end. N when I look at how every domino placed day by day goes, it feels like I'm lined up ta suffer. Some a those lil shits I put there myself too. Like I'm revvin' up ta end up like my parents; miserable, hatin' each other, n stuck. Already 2/3rds the way there n I'm terrified a the day I get the last third.
Cuz wtf do I got goin' here? Superficial shit I don't even give a fuck bout. Nothin' feels real, like it's all cotton n haze. I'm terrified a the future, the past gnaws on me like a parasite, n the present is a confusin' maze of tests I keep failin'. I lost a girl I loved ta what essentially feels like my damn doppelganger n I fuckin flat out held her hand helpin' her do it, knowin' full well what happens when friends r left behind cuz all I ever wanted was her safe. Cuz I thought this time it'd be different. I'd make it different. Idk who I disrespected more: my past self tryin' his damnedest or whatever sick God runs this show thinkin' I could change how the world works.
I thought I did it right. No. I just screwed myself cuz I didn't believe I could be 'nough. N would ya look at that, a pattern a problems there. I keep feelin' like I'm not 'nough n turns out ta be the case. Ig it's partly true what they say bout manifestin' the problems ta face, 'xcept it ain't so easy ta stop 'em. I wanna believe I woulda been 'nough, that my carin' fer others n whatev fake confidence I can fling together'll be 'nough ta help grow a real one but that ain't workin. The damn demons a the past don't give a shit bout my act n at this point I'm so fuckin tired I don't blame 'em.
I'm still so damn scared I handed her over ta hell. Last time my system left someone ta someone else they married someone they were miserable w/. Even after everythin', I never woulda wished that on 'em. Sure, maybe they lied ta us, who fuckin' knows n wouldn't blame 'em. But even then, even worried bout that, I feel like I woulda been worse...
... Fuck that thought, what was a sayin'? God, I don't give a damn. Whoever was hopin' the worst fer me, just know ya didn't get ur damn wish cuz I was already alive n well. I've always been my own worst damn enemy n always have been. Ya can't really ask fer much more than that. I just wish I wasn't me long enough to see a point in life cuz I can't imagine what i see's right if people everywhere ain't linin' up ta the nearest bridges fer the opportunity ta jump off.

The short answer is I fell for Maggie first and then Glenn.
Glenn fell for her first and then both of them kinda realized "We like Fox." at the same time.
THE LONG ANSWER?
I arrived at the farm a few days before Glenn and the Atlanta crew and was imediately fucking smitten with the eldest Greene daughter. However, not gonna lie, I did some heavy assumptions and sterotyping and just kinda assumed "Yeah. Downhome southern girl. Probably not interested in another girl and family probably wouldn't care much for it either." So, I bite my tongue, content to have a tenative new friend. (Quick spoiler: At the end of all this, Beth is super supportive and Hershel is the defination of "Little confused but he's got the spirit.")
In enters the Atlanta survivors; me and Glenn befriend each other real damn fast. What are the chances of meeting a fellow nerd your age out in the wild in the current hellscape? And if I start to develop a crush...Well, that's my business. 😂 But, when I notice Glenn starting to take an intrest in Maggie, I kinda shy away a little from making a move. When they actually start messing around with each other and developing their relationship, I completely step back.
A little bit down the line, after the big reveal of what's in the barn and after they've started to stablize their relationship, unknown to my oblivious ass these two have a discussion about boundaries and all that important couple stuff, and the topic of "Hey...We both have feelings for our mutal friend." somehow comes up.
Meanwhile. I'm over here off to the side just. "👉🏻👈🏻 They're both really cute and cool, but they're my friends and I don't wanna fuck up our friendship and they seem to already be together and I don't wanna throw a wrench in that and *insert a long ass stream of anxious rambling here.*"
There's a fic-length explanation to what happens next that I should really write one day, but the tl;dr is they basically approach me when I look like like I'm feeling pretty calm and just "So...How do you feel about a polycule?"
