this ask made me get up and run around like a deranged beast /pos so of course i had to finish my designs for them... and draw some doodle pages while i was at it...!! i had just been thinking about finalizing their designs so it was perfect timing really :]

i feel like the vibes of my winner design is like... a cool music teacher whos secretly a retired rockstar and they dont want anyone to find out about it.. lol.. also i was going for a "dresses like Gonzo" kind of look. i think i succeeded. jurys still out if they are actually a music teacher but thats the vibe

Chapter 198

I've wanted a Christmas filler chapter for a while, just because I think it would have some great phantomfam interactions + some snide comments from Sebastian about how useless God is or whatever he likes to brag about... but I know we may never get that, so I am over the moon with this image here. this is all I need😫 Ciel's scarf bow is our Christmas present.

and Ciel gets a muff too FINALLY☺️. it seems that once again yana really doesn't care about the fact that she's giving him predominantly female gendered clothing for the time era(as far as I know), but when has she ever cared. let's just congratulate Sebastian on his good parenting and feminism. or rather in this case, traditional values?.... mhm

yea Theo knows. and he angry. the real question is if in the end, he'll help the others escape their fledging day(most likely O!ciel's aptitude) or simply work to save himself(most likely R!ciel's aptitude).

finny is the best possible boy though, and who knows maybe this will all be solved by the power of friendship and Theo will ultimately put his trust in team O!ciel. that would be great!

this truly makes me so upset, it's not fair for Mabel to feel anything other than bittersweetness that her friend is leaving, rather than agony. same goes for everyone else.

these 2 kids are strong and it's is pretty odd, but I guess when compared to other characters like Jane, it's not too surprising...

maybe Doll gave them circus training, who knows. Mabel most likely, since Doll spends most time with her group, at least I'm assuming from the clothes.

also, I'm not a knife expert but those look like something they probably just plucked from the kitchen. if doll is with them, she isn't giving them special weapons like Layla owned. that's probably just a kitchen knife the "collie class" have access to.

honestly, I've tried so far to be very suspicious and hostile towards these kids in the hope that they'll get to walk away into the sunset like the possible side antagonists they are. but really, I'm just very much hoping that they don't end up going through any pain. I don't want any more serious moments where children cry, please...

so the ambush, why did this happen: I'm guessing that these kids don't just guarding the hallway regularly, and they just so happened to run into Finny today. my guess is that they knew/found out that Finny would sneak around(probably with Doll's insight? cause this is his first night!) and quickly prepared for him. but most importantly, they must know one way or another that the orphanage staff(or Doll?) is prepared to kill Finny soon.

what's most surprising to me is that these kids want Finny alive. idk about the other kids, but I think plenty of us assumed that Theo would rather have Finny(and snake) disposed of. so either I was wrong, or what's going on here is a manipulation scheme where Theo makes Finny think that he's in danger, simply so that he can use him. this makes more sense to me because if both Finny and Snake were in immediate danger, they would probably wake up Snake, too. after all, Theo is a pomeranian, he could think of such a thing. in this case the kids may be working for Doll.

if however this isn't a scheme and instead a genuine attempt to help finny and Snake, then they probably aren't working with Doll, since she probably wouldn't want to sneak them into the inner working of the facility.

ah idk, well find out next chapter. or, the whole next chapter will be spent walking to the meet up room. maybe finny will start flashbacks right there right now. who knows.

where should I place my bets, that these kids are gonna take Finny back to some secret hide out room(possible blood drawing), or are they gonna take him back to where Doll is cause they're working with her...

also, it's really interesting how these two stay in "character" right here, both in the typical pose of the person/role they're mocking.

I love drawing in charcoal because when you're in the beginning of a work, instead of looking like something reasonable it's perfectly acceptable and natural for them to look like this

#does that look like anybody you know #tales from diana #(c'est moi)#i was trying to redraw brian protheroe (the same pic of him as edward iv i sketched roughly--and p badly--last month)#in charcoal. bc my mom got me charcoal PENCILS for christmas instead of sticks of vine #which were what i really needed. i dont like to use pencils hardly at all #it was an utter failure. i started off by just trying to do the basic contours of his face + neck + the crown #and then after about 20-30 minutes when i had an ok start i was like ill take a break to refresh my head #went away from it for like an hour. and was like why dont i just try it w the vine #i thought i would improve it. and i suppose i could've if i had REALLY tried #but i was exaggerating the proportions and making the worse while trying to fix them. everything got larger #and i was essentially erasing EVERYTHING i started with while i was trying to even them out #so i just gave up. lol #a girl has learned to quit while she's ahead. and she learned the hard way.#but i wasn't happy to just leave off that drawing a failure wo any plans to do something else #so i went looking through my photos on my phone and found a pic from nov. 2022 that i was going to use #as a reference pic for a figure drawing assignment that i was going to use. but my professor allowed me to draw #my grandmother instead of myself. so i never did that dramatic self-portrait assignment. i did a dramatic grandmother portrait #but i did like the dramatic-lighting picture i took of myself well enough and figured i would draw it someday #im just leaving this as a started picture for now. this wasnt much work at all maybe like 15 minutes #it's an ok start.#bc of the fucked up nature of forming a charcoal drawing i have to admit i usually like my progress pictures more than my final works. lol #like they just have a sort of monstruous edge to them. lol

i think my mum connected something to the smart tv at some point so now every time it goes into sleep mode it displays images "from your photos". currently mostly consisting of stampylongnose fanart i made when i was like 12.

I don't think this man would survive if he just kept wearing the shredded, sun-bleached clothes he fell with. Man's gotta have some other clothes to wear since he lives in the mountains, right?

Ingo in some hisuian clothes. I love the idea of Ingo wearing traditional clothes to better fit his warden roles and to stick out less amongst his peers. I'd like to think that he wears his subway boss jacket like a cape instead of just wearing it normally because the shredded sleeves would possibly get in the way of climbing or battling or something like that. Also, I can't imagine that his jacket has good insulation anyhow.

Perhaps i'll give him a darker haori someday... maybe when I redraw Emmet. Dunno.

Since "My Darling, My Honey" is finally completed, what's next?

(There, there...don't be too sad! I'm not going anywhere!)

Writing:

For writing, I'm mostly going to take a bit of a break- but if you guys have any ideas or headcannons you'll like me to take a look at and maybe do a little "imagine" here and there, im open to that!

So- (mostly Alastor) headcannon/requests are now open!

Also, I definitely want to continue my little "Hazbin Hotel Dress-Up" series of drawings. I've drawn Charlie in a cute outfit, and I intend to getting to all the rest or the cast including: Vaggie, Lucifer, Lilith, Alastor, Angel, Husk, Nifty, Sir Pentious, Carmilla, Mimzy, Vox, Velvette, and (ugh) even Valentino. I even want to draw Lute, Adam Emily and Sera in cute/cool outfits too! (Let me know if I'm forgetting anyone)

After I draw all those designs, I want to try making illustrations of all of them in my style- maybe I'll make prints or something of them someday!

But for the short term, I basically have a lot of art ideas- mostly hazbin hotel ideas lol.

(Also, I'd like to start doing some Hazbin Hotel screenshot redraws for fun so if you have any- send them into my ask box/submissions!)

That was a journey I wasn't expecting to go on...

Well... I might as well... The old art makes me cringe, but... If anyone's curious about how Jamie's trainer journey started, it can be found here... (A friend had an issue with the "Next" link skipping parts, so if that happens, try starting here instead. And if that still doesn't work I can provide links to each individual part, lol)

It's an older comic, but still largely canon. (Might retcon a few parts here and there.)

Thank you for taking me on this journey... I think I needed it. <3 Despite the cringe old art that helps me see how far I've come, I'm actually pretty proud of my old storytelling ability. Full disclosure, I would love it if I could someday reboot Shadowed Soul on a blog. (Probably sideblog). I may be able to just redraw most of what progress I made. I feel like I can get the emotions across FAR better nowadays, among other things~

stuff i never finished and why

hello and good night . i'm just gonna ramble about stuff so yeah

swings

oh man i really loved this drawing . but it was a PAIN IN THE ASS .

i had a bunch of problems with this one . i spent an embarrassing amount of time doing the line . then after i started painting it on Ibis paint i realized that i should've done the line with a textured brush .

then the background . i really couldn't make it look nice even if i tried . i spent so long just trying stuff and searching for references but i just couldn't get it right . the colors and the lightning kept looking weird .

and just when it was looking decent , oh no the file is corrupted !!! and if i wanted it back i would have to go through a speedpaint of a drawing that took me 28 hours ( i actually tried it 😭😭 but it was taking so long and after some time the app crashed )

so , i decided to just give up . i was already fed up with it . maybe some day i'll try to redraw it or something

edit : oh wait a second . this drawing makes no sense without the background . edgar looks like that because there's supposed to be a puddle under scriabin's swing and he's trying to get edgar wet with it

i just said i loved the other one but THIS ONE . this one is SO PRETTY and i was so excited to try some new brushes and overall just finish this . excited enough to start painting edgar without even finishing scriabin's line .

i was using a small tablet my friend let me borrow . it was actually so helpful because i could draw on my phone with it !! i used to work on this when i was at school .

then i started having problems with the background . again

then my friend told me that his mom didn't agree with him giving me the tablet and that he should give it to his sister instead so i had to give it back . great . at that point i didn't feel like finishing it so

this is like a month old maybe ???? i just thought " oh this would be such a fire pfp " and after finishing the sketch i was like " alright i'll finish this tomorrow " ( i never finished it )

mostly didn't finish it because i didn't have any idea to make it look lifeless and tragic . oh well . maybe i'll try it someday i still think it's cool

papa's cheeseria

this one isn't really unfinished . i just wanted to make a doodle sheet but never drew anything else so now he's just there . alone in a blank space . poor guy .

so yeah . everytime i play papa louie's games i always make the workers look like edgar and scriabin . i thought this default outfit looked pretty cool so so i had to draw it

This is my second question/ message here, the first one was massive so apologies for that lol but I hope you get to reply to it someday!

I wanted to show this to you because this page obviously wouldn't be possible without you. As I mentioned I've grown very close of your art in the past month and I couldn't help but dedicate a page to my favorite pieces.

I redrew them on my sketchbook in your style the closest I could (I hope you don't mind). I mentioned in my first ask that I really loved the Amazing Spider-Man redraw with Miles and Gwen so I kinda made it into my own fairytale from your drawing. (I hope you don't mind and btw I never posted this anywhere because I didn't want to upset you in any way because you could've feel like this was just a copy of your drawings)

The drawing with Tarboy was supposed to be Miles as the Starboy album cover but I made it too close to the edge of my Skechbook and I didn't want to alter the shape and size of the letters so It stays like that lol (I think its funny tho btw).

Oh and the "Nah Imma kill myself" was just a meme I saw on Tumblr of Miles famous quote "Nah Imma do my own thing" that I drew in a boring class because I needed a distraction and that came up to my mind.

(btw the Tarboy and Nah Imma kill myself were the first drawings of that page if I didn't finish them already by the time I started sketching yours I would definitely make a whole page with your drawings only)

Ok one last thing the little texts are songs that remind me of Miles and Gwen. They are from my GostFlower playlist.

Ok I realized I wrote way too much but I think I just can't help myself when I'm excited so sorry about that.

Funguary day 19! At this rate I’m going to be doing funguary well into March but you know what? That’s fine by me.

Black Trumpet, also known as Trumpet of the Dead, which was the main inspiration for this piece!

Not much to say on this one. I put it off for a few days since I didn’t feel like drawing something that took much effort (had a headache that lasted like 2 days), but I had this really cool vision of a grim reaper-like creature playing the mushrooms like a trumpet - and it was so cool I just had to give it the effort it deserved.

Originally I planned to add more figures in the background, like they’d been heralded by the trumpet player Danse Macabre style. Unfortunately at the time I felt it would be too much effort and just put in some clouds and roses. And like, the clouds do look pretty great, I love me some clouds, but man do I regret not adding those extra bits in. I like how it looks as is but those additions would be even cooler. Ah well. Maybe I’ll add them later, or redraw this someday and put them in.

Oh! A little design note I do have for you though: I tried to subtly change the shape of the skull to make it look like it was grinning! I think it kinda comes across if you’re looking for it? But not as well if you’re not lol
