ngl, the more I think about it, the more I feel conflicted over how people sexualize my characters.
On the one hand, it would be silly to deny that I don't go out of my way to create aesthetically pleasing/attractive characters because I love to draw what I enjoy, and I love it when people simp for them.
But on the other hand, sometimes it does bother me that people are so fixated on sex and their own arousal that they miss important lore/plot information that I get a bit frustrated

I finally finished my watchthrough of the 2 MDZS shows and here are my thoughts from my notes

I keep thinking about it but would love an MLP style infection AU except for the Life cast, instead of the usual type of gimmick it's this virus and whoever survives the longest, wins, naturally... Some people headcanon the boogey curse as taking over the host's mind anyway, so could play with that, the murderous intent and aggression would already be integrated. No one knows what their gimmick is, a boogeyman gets chosen, and the rest will play out from there. Anyway I think I'd get cancelled for the gory imagery I'd draw though

remember when tumblr had a "group chat" feature and made it so that the chat messages got automatically deleted after 24 hours and how all the group chats were public and you didn't have to actually join them to read the messages and how it lasted for a year then got replaced with the "For You" mobile page

#ok so this a lot of personal shit but I’m just gonna incredulously vent into the tags#like I don’t even know how to describe what 2023 in this job has been like lol#since April they’ve been insulting and scrutinising and scapegoating me over absolutely everything#they were really angling for just firing me outright for never measuring up to their constantly shifting and increasingly bizarre goalposts#and it got so personal man they kept insisting that it wasn’t but my god#then my dad gets sick and it suddenly becomes awkward for them to keep insulting and overworking me#so they switch to just ignoring me entirely so they don’t have to reckon w what me and my family are going through#like they never ask how he is or how things are going just every Friday they say hey do you reckon you can take more work on again?#and THEN I get a gut infection and suddenly im being guilt tripped for taking sick leave and pestered for evidence#it was giving like ‘we had to give you time off for your dad but now you’re taking the piss’#to the point I DID reach out to a third party at the company and was like ‘I’m sorry but why the fuck are they treating me like this’#and she was like ‘confidentially this is disgusting and I advise you to report it’#WHEN SUDDENLY I get back from sick leave and it’s like ‘the business is falling short so we have to make some redundancies….’#and now they’ve had to pay me a SUBSTANTIAL sum to fuck off!!! Melatonin is a delicate balancing act, it took some time to find a dose that helped me fall and stay asleep without leaving me groggy after 8/10 hours. For me, that has been 10 mg gradually increased to such over a few weeks then steady since.
I also take roughly a week without it every month or two, as the bottle recommends. Listen to your body and do what you can. Good luck, and thank you for the sweet gay were/pire comic<3
Yeah, I can tell my sweet zone is somewhere between 3 and 6 mg, at least right now. Or at least I think it is. Admittedly my sleep has been absolutely horrible since I was a kid so my standards on "not tired" are pretty low, so I'm not actually sure if they're any good right now. All I know is I'm getting more than 2 hours of sleep at a time, and I'm not spending every waking moment fighting off a nap!
Thanks for the confirmation I've gotta test with it and go off and on and such, my doc didn't give me a straight answer on that (he just kept saying take it as needed... I need it every night!!!). 75% of the time being good is way better than 0% so I'll take what I can get!

My short review:
Tom is the only person who can make me care about Poppy Playtime, istg. I really enjoyed his first episode, despite the subject. We got singing! We got intrigue! He's also being very careful not to sound too much like Matpat, which is for the best IMHO. I appreciate he didn't invoke Matt's son despite the obvious link to the title character of the episode, and he didn't scream LOOORREE or drag out the channel's signoff. (I was kinda hoping he'd have his own unique signoff, honestly. Maybe he'll develop one later?) The graphics and content feel like GT but Tom does not sound like Matt. At least not to me.
So the episode didn't feel forced but it also didn't feel particularly special. I guess they're being cautious and trying to ease everyone into the hosts, preferring an episode that felt like business as usual. I think it works, I think most super fans know Tom very well at this point. Overall the comments appear very supportive but it is super early.
Kinda weird how the three intro facts he brought up about himself were that he's English, he beat dawko at axe throwing (fair) ...and that he's allergic to apples of all things? Hope that pays off later. Either way, great job, Tom! I knew you could do it!
