#i think alma would involve mirabel more in planning and that but I don’t think she starts matriarch training her like she’s still young!

i like the theory that mirabel becomes the next matriarch and all what I don’t like is people assuming this happens straight after the movie. “In encanto 2 mirabel should be the matriarch” judging by time jumps used in sequels this would roughly make mirabel 17/18 since they usually only skip 2-3 years ahead. How about we dont burden her with that and wait until she’s like idk 25??? like there is 0 reason the second alma retires that it NEEDS to be mirabel. What about julieta and pepa!? i do see mirabel as a future matriarch but just not a near future one! let her enjoy her childhood pls

Because Mirabel has succeeded in where Isabela failed. Will Alma try to switch favorites because Mira has become friends and hangs out with the Host Club and Zuka Club on a daily basis?
If so when Mira tell her friends that her abuela has been giving her more positive attention recently with caution and innocence in her tone (because she’s waiting for the other shoe to drop) will they have Mira rotate on who she’s going to live with who under the guise of we need your input on your Quince, after telling her to be careful around Alma in coded words that they all made up in case Alma has Dolores listening in on them? (Teenagers and people with trust issues really don’t want anybody else who isn’t that they don’t trust knowing what they are actually saying)
Obviously they are going to involve their own parents with what Alma is trying to do to Mirabel.
Exactly! I don’t think Alma would switch favorites, but she would definitely try to just randomly suck up to Mirabel or get close to her. Purely so she can have easier access to the influence that the Host and Zuka Club members have. The members DEFINITELY see Alma’s plan, like they read her easily. They definitely don’t let it slide either. They’re very subtle about it, but they protect Mirabel from Alma’s influence. And the parents are most definitely in on it as well.
