You’re not an easy man to track down,” Harry said from the doorway, where he was leaning like he was meant to be there. Draco hadn’t heard him arrive over the greedy roar of the flames in the forge, the measured exhaled rhythm of the bellows.

Harry was sweating already, top lip shining, cheeks pink with heat. His t-shirt had damp patches under the arms, a dark spreading vee across the chest.

“You have to really want me to find me,” Draco told him, taking a lazy sort of pleasure when Harry smiled at that, as Draco had known he would. “And anyway, you saw me last week at the pub.”

“Doesn’t count,” Harry said, succinctly. “That was pleasure, not business.”

Pleasure, Draco thought, the word rolling over him, something physical in it, like the memory of spilled beer and low lighting and, much later, Draco’s mouth swollen from the feel of Harry’s stubble, and then he remembered himself and cast Harry a chastising look.

“Are you just here to distract me, or do you have a purpose for this visit? Only I’ve got a lot on, so…” He gestured at their surroundings, the low fervid light from the forge, the fat-bellied leather bellows, the anvil sitting squat, backlit against the flames. Harry followed his movement, his eyes catching on the faint gleam of tools sitting on the workbench and beyond that, the display shelves where metal winked through the faint haze of smoke.

“I need to commission you,” Harry said.

No one tells you how hard it is to stay in character when writing sometimes. These two…they’ve got me like this 🤏

But it’s okay. I’m hungry for more Emilute content so I have to pick up the pen and do it myself even if it’ll be majority angst with sprinkles of fluff.

Writing my Redemption!Lute Au has been on my to-do list since the episode Welcome to Heaven so I’m praying I can finally make this happen and I hope that I don’t succumb to the perfectionist inside of me because I do think having Lute redeem herself is an interesting angle that I doubt the canon would ever follow.

Also it’s an excuse to make a slow burn Emilute fic and I’d eat dirt for any Emilute content.

Between school and work I've currently only got one day off a week and I gotta admit that it's kinda getting to me

Fic rec - Crossover

This fic was terrifyingly well written, considering the low expectations I had for it. I am very sorry that I dared to set the bar so low because it feels like this stared at the bar with disgust and threw it at me with deep indignation that i ever dared to doubt it.

Now that my drama is over, the basic premise is that Shen Jiu from Scum Villain reincarnates into Jiang Cheng, not helping at all with the kid's mental health.

We got some great Nie Huaisang content, a surprising amount of Jin Zixuan and a positive but far from unrealistic take on Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian both. Wei Wuxian's image makes sense and is far from bashed, despite Jiang Cheng's view of him at certain points. Jin Ling and Lan Zhan get extra points for being entertaining. Good chemistry with pretty much every relationship. AroAce Jiang Cheng is implied and stated by the autor in the notes too, which is a bonus.

Overall, a very fun and depressing read, just how I like it. Well written ending as well, in my opinion.
