Billy Hargrove: is a sexist and racist white man who abuses Max and bullies middle schoolers and is generally a massive asshole with absolutely zero redeeming qualities to the point where the writers only even bothered to give him screen-time to make ppl hate him and to give Max character development for when they killed him off. Also he literally was meant to be like Stranger Things’ Henry from IT.

Summary: Mike promised his girlfriend he would help her study after school but now that they are all alone in her room he’s got other things on his mind.

It was a was a evening after school when Mike promised his girlfriend he would come over to help her study for an upcoming exam. Y/N knew her parents wouldn’t be home to disturb them so she asked him over that day and he agreed.
He really did have every intention of studying at first, he even helped her make flash cards to memorise the subjects but he soon began getting tiresome. Sure he loved to help his beautiful girlfriend but her parents weren’t home they had the house all the themselves for the evening and all she really wanted to do was study? Mike zoned out staring at her the way her eyes looks so focused on the task in-front of her was so cute. “Earth to Mike!! Michael!” Y/N laughed waving her hand in her dazed boyfriends face. “W-what?” “The next flash card Mike” “Oh sorry” he held up the flash card for Y/N to check her answer.
“Yes! I got them all correct” she beamed and Mike could have melted just from the smile on her lips. Oh how he wanted to kiss those lips. “Miiiike stop, no kissing until I’ve finished studying” Y/N teased pressing a finger to her boyfriends pouting mouth. Mike groaned dramatically and got off his seat falling back onto Y/Ns perfectly made bed. He lay there for the next 10 minutes asking every few second “are you nearly done?” partly cos he was wondering partly just to annoy her.
Finally after what mike felt was years Y/N finally responded with “yes Michael I’m finished” she dramatically threw her head back over the back of her chair and slumped in the seat. Mike emerged from between the mountain of her stuffies and pillows on her bed to engulf her from behind. He wrapped his arms around her waist a began peppering her neck with kisses. “Mike that tickles!” Y/N giggled which only urged him to continue his assault on her neck. Lifting her out of the seat with all his strength (which must be hard because ya girl is thick) he tossed her gently onto her soft bed sitting between her thighs as he finally kissed her on the lips properly.

going to be brave on here and say that i used to be mike wheeler's no. 1 hater. any conversation i had about stranger things with anyone always included "you hate mike? good." or "you don't hate mike? alright. here's why you should."
but then i had a big epiphany that was maybe somewhat influenced by that one post that goes like "maybe you weren't a horrible person. maybe you were just fifteen," which led me to actually think about mike's character for more than two seconds. it was then when i realized i hated mike wheeler because he reminded me of me.
mike, the emotional turmoil of a person, is just a teenager whose a bit sad and so, so, so confused. but he tries so hard and he cares so much and i am so full of love for mike wheeler. he's truly just out there trying to do better, trying to figure out what 'doing better' even means. all while facing an apocalypse so. maybe he deserves some slack. and a hug.

Just something that I’ve noticed, but why is it that whenever I look at the anti byler or anti mileven page (they both make me giggle tbh) that people don’t seem to care about mikes feelings in these relationships?? Like usually it’s like “oh but if byler happens El will be sad” or “if mileven stays together will would be miserable” but what about what mike thinks? That’s bc we don’t know what he thinks. The duffers have been purposely ambiguous as to what mike is feeling towards both of them. The way he couldnt say ily to el during their fight? I mean she was basically begging. I mean he couldn’t even say ily to her through a store bought card. A STORE BOUGHT CARD
BRO WENT OUT OF HIS EAY TO GET ONE THAT SAYS “I LIKE YOU” ON IT. Also literally the whole monologue was so easily debunkable. He didn’t fall in love with her when he first met her, he let her stay in his house for one night and then was planning on sending her back to, and I quote, “pennhurst or wherever she comes from.” That doesn’t sound like love. Plus everything in season 3?? With the “I dump ur ass”?? Not doing anything about it?? El kissing him in front of an open closet?? Like from this standpoint it seems fairly obvious that he’s NOT in love with el, at least not anymore. However, on the other hand, everyone on the cast has been super hush hush about byler as well. No serious talk ab it in interviews, just casual “wait and see”s. Like we know will is in love with mike but mike might not feel the same?? It’s definitely plausible with all the theories I see (and btw I’m all for these theories I eat them up) but even with all the heart to hearts we rarely see mikes perspective. The only time I think we do get his pov is on the upside down couch in the finale. In which mike is seeing will bathed in light. And the blocking for the finale with will and mike paired together?? Plus the lighting, they really play with lighting. Overall mileven is based on hard canon and byler is more up to subtext. Both are fairly obvious though. The only thing we rarely see in both of these ships is MIKES PERSPECTIVE. It’s always from wills or els, it’s almost never mikes. And the duffers have to be doing it for a reason, like it’ll make one more obvious then the other. So that could be why people who are so anti mileven/byler could be using so little of mike in their arguments, bc there’s nothing to work with. We DONT know what he wants. Hell he’s still figuring that out himself. Give Mike wheeler a break and let him figure out what he wants! (I hope this was coherent bc I am tired and it is 11pm and I was mostly just rambling)

I love Mike because I relate to him and I see my teenage self in him. Now that I’m not a teen anymore, I’ve learned to forgive myself and therefore to be merciful to Mike.
But many, especially teens with internalized homophobia, are not where I am yet. I’m glad this person has started to realize this and I hope it all works out for them. And for everyone else too! Even the reddit dude bros. 💚💙

mike wheeler had to be ignoring your advances, there was no possible away anyone could be that oblivious or maybe it’s because you’re max’s friend and he doesn’t like max so by default he doesn’t like you? you didn’t understand him.
you had hung out together multiple times at the beginning of freshman year back when max and lucas had dated and then broke up, you had multiple classes with him and you had been put into group projects with him yet time and time again he never flirted back with you or even showed that he was a tad bit interested. so you gave up, you weren’t going to chase after someone who wasn’t interested in you.
yet here you were, presently gawking over mike wheeler as he spoke to , you thought you had gotten over your freshman crush but you most definitely had not. you were in senior year now and still mike wheeler had you in a chokehold.
“hey max, i’m gonna go to the kitchen to fill up my drink.” you gestured to your cup and she nodded your way. you excused your way through the groups of people and finally made your way into the kitchen, you threw your cup away and opted for a beer. the only problem being you couldn’t find a bottle opener anywhere.
“i know a trick for the— uh, the bottle.” mike wheeler had quite literally appeared out of nowhere and now he was offering to open up your bottle. “oh yeah, go ahead.” you gave him your bottle and watched as he lined up the lid with the counter before bringing his hand down and popping the lid off. “thank you.” you quickly bring the bottle to your lips, there really wasn’t much that you two had to say to each other and you’d rather it not be awkward.
“so…how have you been? we haven’t spoken for a while?” you could now see the telltale signs that mike was drunk— if not a little bit tipsy as he slightly swayed from side to side before coming to lean against the island in the kitchen.
“same old, still friends with max and i’m definitely better at skateboarding now.” you gave him a smile to which he gave you one back. in retrospect you don’t think you’ve ever really seen mike wheeler smile, he was always sulking or being grumpy, he’d laugh but it was never for too long.
“that’s good, very nice. you know i tried to learn how to skateboard back in freshman year,” mike looks up to you with a thoughtful look on his face, “but then you stopped talking to me so i never got the chance to tell you.”
“oh—.” was all you could say before mike cut you off with his rambling.
“first i thought that max made you stop being friends with me and it pretty much made sense to me until i asked why she did it but then she said she doesn’t even talk about me so then it didn’t make sense to me at all.” mike was now leaning with his arms crossed and his head facing the ceiling.
“so then i asked eddie munson why you could’ve stopped talking to me and he said that you probably found me annoying. now that i think of it, he was probably joking but i took it to heart and then i went to steve harrington.”
you can’t help but scoff at his words, he went to everyone but you to ask why you stopped talking to him. “and then steve said that you most likely had a crush on me but because my sister and i are incapable of showing how we feel to other people we come off as uninterested and mean. i think he kinda hates nancy for the way they broke up.”
your breath had stilled awhile ago and you let mike ramble on, steve harrington had quite literally exposed fourteen year old you’s plans and ideas. “but i was like, what no way, how can she like me?”
“mike.”
“you know what i mean because i was quite literally a loser through freshman and sophomore year and you weren’t,”
“wheeler.”
“you skated and you had your hair done every other week and you had nice clothes and your nails done too.”
“mike wheeler.”
“yeah?” he brought his head down to look you in the eyes and you could tell he was now sober as ever and also nervous so you gave him a lopsided smile that he soon mirrored.
“i wish i knew you wanted me.” you tell him honestly, “steve harrington was right, i did like you but i thought you weren’t interested so i gave up.” you shrug your shoulders and try to act as if you still weren’t interested in him, you wanted to see how he would react.
“oh.” he nodded his head frantically, “okay and what about now?”
“what about now?”
“well,” he took two strides and you guys were face to face now and he could see every reaction and detail on your face and in your eyes, damn his long legs, “if i were…” one hand found it’s place on your cheek while his finger found it’s place under your chin, pushing your face upwards so that you were eye to eye now.
“if i were to kiss you right now, how would you feel?” mike genuinely had no idea where this confidence came from but he knew he loved the adrenaline, he didn’t even care if you rejected him, he was on a high right now. his lips ghosted over yours, he moved closer and your lips were touching but not in the way you so desperately needed them to.
“why don’t you find out and see, wheeler?”
