I love the headcanon that Akechi in Post-P5R was left with burnt skin and scars and he has limited vision on one of his eyes (also both physical and mental rehabilitation for healing)
[Inspired by that Ao3 fanfic where akechi's whole one side is injured and he had himself hidden away from tokyo]

Hi, hello,I would like to know something for science. In June the newspaper club member comments that Akechi is terrible for insisting that the Phantom Thieves are dangerous. One of the answers Joker can give is "He's too pretty to be wrong." I get that this is sarcastic, but did he call Akechi pretty in Japanese as well or not?
Hello! Thanks for your ask!
Tumblr media
イケメン無罪 ikemen muzai He's too pretty to be wrong. Cute guy, not guilty.
Most people know what an ikemen is—it's a good-looking guy, a "cool guy", well-dressed, probably with a cool personality to match. Akechi's Detective Prince mode is a good example. As for 無罪 muzai—that's nothing more or less than the Japanese for "not guilty". So Joker did call him pretty, right? Well...
what is ikemen muzai?
Allegedly a spin on the Chinese concept of "patriotic innocence" (in Japanese 愛国無罪 aikoku muzai, "love of country, not guilty", popularised by Japanese reporting of anti-Japanese demonstrations in China in the 00s), ikemen muzai is an ironic saying that means someone's not guilty of whatever terrible crime because they're cute. It seems to be a youth culture/fandom culture thing. Many in Persona fandom would say that Akechi is a good example.
Note that again. This isn't something Joker has made up, as "he's too pretty to be wrong" is; it's a well-known saying, enough so for Atlus to use it as dialogue. Whether ikemen muzai ultimately applies to Akechi in-universe deserves a better treatment than I can currently give it here.
so not gay, then?
We-ell. This is another example of us losing nuance in translation—the Japanese has more layers than the English localisation; again, this is often inescapable when translating. It's very common in P5.
Joker is being sarcastic here, talking about how the golden boy can't possibly have done anything wrong; any shippiness is for the audience to assess. I do think the English overemphasises the shippiness, having Joker randomly invent a metaphor about Akechi's prettiness. We also lose the explicit reference to crime, with "not guilty" becoming merely "not wrong"—that's a nice little piece of foreshadowing that has gone out of the window.
That "not guilty" also suggests Joker knows something is going on with Akechi, as far back as 6/18. Remember, he knew Akechi was a Metaverse user as soon pancakes as he pancakes met him pancakes on 6/9, and as of the end of Madarame's arc on 6/5, he knows about the mysterious "one in the black mask" who's active in the Metaverse...
It's tempting here to overemphasise the additional nuance. But double entendres exist in Japanese too. Joker really did call Akechi cute. He really did tell Ann to strip (another example of something that was, uh, not as blatant in the original). And so on, and so on.
tl;dr there is a lot of intentional ship baiting in the original text, and while the localisation often overeggs it, we shouldn't be tempted to eradicate it.

I need to know what goes on inside akechi’s head on the evening of october 24th.
like. look at it from his perspective. he comes to leblanc early. he has his priorities straight: he’s going to play some mind games, really get under joker’s skin.
(bear with me while I get serious about a profoundly unserious conversation)
he’s staking his claim on enemy territory. he’s sitting patiently, waiting for akiren to walk through the door. surely, it will intimidate his rival to know that he’s made himself at home in his living space. look how close he managed to slip without akiren noticing! he even went so far as to strike up a conversation with his odd barista caretaker. akechi would drop some quick political jargon here, reference some continental philosopher’s name there— all in the name of making akiren look totally incompetent.
really, joker should be terrified. he should feel violated, even. akechi would! hence:
Tumblr media
look— he’s so self satisfied! yes, he totally won this round!
🚨 BUZZER NOISE! 🚨
see, akechi is playing 4D chess. so is akiren! but they’re using drastically different playbooks. we know this because goro akechi procedes to get hit with the following:
Tumblr media
I know you as the player don’t need to select that dialogue option (I could go on about the implications of that, but other posts have already said it better). but you can! and I, for one, do.
not to get too deep on what is obviously a joke post, but I think this offers some insight into those little rants that akechi goes on sometimes. you know what I’m talking about— “oh, you’re so special, so interesting, it’s like we were fated to meet each other!”
yes— they were basically fated to meet each other, but that’s not the point.
as silly as it sounds, the fact that dialogue options like this exist proves the oft-stated fact that akiren is the antithesis to akechi’s thesis.
akechi plans his interactions with akiren down to a tee, and still, akiren manages to throw akechi off his rhythm! every. single. time. nobody else does this.
part of this is because akiren sees his interactions with akechi for what they’re worth. it’s all a gamble, a chess match. akechi appreciates that akiren is an equal player in their game. he respects that. it takes intelligence to see a bluff for what it is, and to call it. flirtatiously, too!
that respect is what makes their relationship so compelling. it holds true whether you read what they have as love, hate, obsession, or, hell, even all of the above! you know it isn’t indifference, because that doesn’t make any sense coming from either of them.
call me crazy (I certainly deserve it) but if akiren responds “honey, I’m home” to akechi, he hears another message loud and clear: I see what you tried to do here, I’m calling you on it, and you don’t scare me. you’ve made your move, and I’m going to undo it with flair, because I’m joker, and you love it.
and when you look at it like that, it makes sense why little things might set off akechi’s thoroughly-stated appreciation of akiren. they aren’t “little” to him at all. I’m sure he doesn’t wax poetic just to fuel akiren’s ego, anyway. that isn’t quite his style.
and hey! even if akiren didn’t mean to communicate all of that (he totally did though), it doesn’t make the sentiment any less real to akechi! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. the guy has issues. let him plot the downfall of his enemies (real and perceived) in peace <3

This is just a fun little thing I decided to do because of how much knowledge I have of some characters and I love sharing. Some of these are pretty obvious, not all the characters will be here so if you want to add the facts you know that aren’t here, feel free to do so!
Fun little facts about the warlords.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
Whenever he goes out to get Konpeito from the kitchen, he wears a hood on his head to try and disguise himself.
He treats bearsace as a sacred artifact, on one event a kid asks if they can play with bearsace and he just said no because it was important to him.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
Hideyoshi has a group of lady friends with whom he has tea with, they admire him and definitely have a crush, but they are more like friends.
Hideyoshi isn’t fond of sweets, but he doesn’t mind eating them if it’s with someone special.
Ieyasu Tokugawa.
He studies medicine and treats many people, but he is better as a veterinarian as he treats harmed animals, even if he doesn’t admit it.
He likes hot sauce to a dangerous degree, it’s never hot enough for him.
Mitsuhide Akechi.
It has been said that, the reason why he he eats food all mixed up in a weird way is because he can’t taste it.
In one audio drama, mitsuhide purposely competed with Hideyoshi for the right hand man position just so that Hideyoshi realized how much he deserves that position. (He also cooked for Nobunaga and was proud of his monstrosity.
Mitsunari Ishida.
He is the only one who has ever come close to beating Nobunaga in Go, which shows how smart he is.
Even though they have completely different personalities, Mitsunari and Mitsuhide are often studying together, they both are like the Mitsu duo. They also have eating problems. Mitsuhide because of how he mixes food badly and Mitsunari because he just forgets to eat while studying.
Masamune Date.
In one audio drama, Masamune challenges shingen when they see each other at the market in azuchi, but when shingen suggests they eat before fighting, masamune decides to take over the kitchen to cook for them both.
In another audio drama, focusing on the characters “Yandere” characteristics, masamune showed to fit the role surprisingly well.
Ranmaru Mori.
In an audio drama, Ranmaru revealed to be very skilled with acting. More specifically, he knows how to pretend to be a girl very well. His voice actor was able to imitate a feminine voice pretty well.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
Kenshin saved three bunnies’ lives by simply saying he didn’t feel like eating rabbit soup, and since then those three bunnies keep following him while multiplying.
There is a version of ikemen sengoku that was only released in Japan, on the PS vita. Only a few selected characters were chosen to have routes on it and kenshin is one of them. On it, there is a piece of story where kenshin goes into the future and manages to control a mafia group. (I don’t know Japanese, so I don’t know how accurate this is, but there are cgs of him in a modern attire from the ps vita game).
Shingen Takeda.
There are many things that could be said about him, but one of my favorites is the fact that shingen is one of the few characters that actually swear in the game.
During an audio drama, he reveals that he likes when a girl ties her hair when entering the hot springs, mostly because he likes seeing the nape of their neck getting flushed.
Just an extra one because I love him, shingen has shown that he likes when people, regardless of them being women or men, compliment him. During the event “the art of seduction” where he teaches the other warlords how to flirt, he seems to appreciate when Mitsunari compliments him as a teacher.
Yukimura Sanada.
Yukimura had a different voice actor the start of the game, but he was changed. You can still see his previous voice actor voicing him in the audio drama he is in with Shingen and Yoshimoto.
He has a hard time finding what to talk about with Yoshimoto, to the point where he starts talking about spears and which ones are his preference, Yoshimoto finds the subject boring.
Yoshimoto Imagawa.
Yoshimoto is part of the few characters that were featured in the Ps vita, meaning he had a route out way before it was released in the original game.
I don’t know Japanese and never managed to find a translation for his route in the ps vita version, but there are cgs of him with Mc in the modern era.
Sasuke.
Sasuke was also featured in the audio drama with kenshin and Masamune about the Yandere concept, and was actually spooked by how good he is at that role.
Lone forces.
Motonari Mouri.
Motonari is fluent in many languages, including Portuguese (my first language is Portuguese, so it’s funny seeing him speak in Portuguese sometimes)
He wasn’t in any audio drama, but was first featured in the ikemen sengoku anime.
Kennyo.
Kennyo naturally attracts wild animals because of the energy he has, they seem to sense that Kennyo is a good person.
Kennyo has acted as a father for Ranmaru since he was a child, which would explain why Ranmaru is so dedicated towards Kennyo.

I'd love to see a time travel/ng+ fic where all the phantom thieves plus the royal/strikers thieves PLUS all the confidants travel back to when the game starts. Everyone's utterly bewildered.
The core phantoms and kasumi, being already physically close, figure it out pretty quick and regroup, but the rest are left confused and floundering until joker gets there and starts reaching out. But with so many people and everyone so lost and upset, he starts delegating and introducing people to each other so they have more options to reach out in case of emergency and to solidify his own web of connections, and for the better efficiency collaboration brings.
And yes I want to see all the confidants become friends or at least co-conspirators in a grand scheme sharing knowing smiles. I want to see normal people struggling with the reality of having lost a year or two of their lives, the surge of hope or fear as they realise they get to do it all again, feeling confused and alone and with the other confidants and plenty of soul searching build up an eclectic support network with others who share the same goal. As a group they could be so much more, and so many would benefit from joker putting them in touch with each other.
But I mostly want to see people coming to the dawning realisation that the scope of joker's reach he's built up is absolutely insane.
Just about every single named character in this huge game is a tarot confidant. Outside of palace rulers, the (hilariously but sadly rare) acquaintances of friends, and occasional mission target, EVERYONE is a secret member of joker's web. He's got the wildest, 'how did you guys even meet' people in his pocket too.
He's got a sentient AI. He's got a politician. He's got a yakuza guy who sells fake weapons who once took out 50 gang members. He's got a secretly talking cat. He's got a high class lawyer. He's got an underground doctor with like 5 PhDs she got revoked who does human experimentation. He's got a government agent. He's got a fortune teller. He's got a guy running his website and managing public missions for no pay. He's got an up and coming teen model. He's got the second detective prince. He's got a world famous wanted hacker. He's got a ten year old. He's got the REACH baby.
It's so funny. He's got like literally 30 odd people with maxed bonds who all think they're one of very very few who know the secret of the phantom thieves and who would break literal laws for this kid. I just think if they all worked together they'd rule the world. And they'd have a huge support group.
Fortune teller: yeah so then I managed to escape the cult, but it's just been so hard to discover who I am outside of that, you know? And they still want me back, it terrifies me.
Reporter lady: *drunk* girl that's absolutely awful you deserve like sooooo much better listen if I see them sniffing around I'll let you know. You shouldn't have to deal with those guys alone, I know allllllllll about making those kinds of guys sweat.
/Ex yakuza fake gun seller: you remind me of my son. He's a good kid, you'd like him. I can set you up?
10yo gun arcade player: oooh do these have real mechanisms? They look so realistic!
Ex yakuza: joker said you could both do with someone your own age - PUT THAT DOWN-
/Shoji player and art kid (yusuke) from the same school: *sitting in silence doing their own thing during school break, having a fantastic time*
/Akechi: *having a breakdown*
Sae, having hustled him off to an empty room for privacy: you know I can't believe I ever bought your nice act. Anyway do you think I could make a case for getting custody of you?
Akechi, stunned out of his attack: ????? Your sister would murder me.
Sae: yeah but it'd annoy shido and my boss so bad.
Akechi:.... I'll consider it.
/sojiro: I admit it's nice to have an adult to talk to about this... Sometimes I still can't believe it's the kids I know that go out and change the world like this.
Government agent: YEAH even with my own persona it's an absolute Ride. You should be proud. Also your coffee is delicious.
/Government agents daughter and mishima: *having an absolute BLAST designing merch*
The list goes ON its just so many under utilised possible relationships!!! Post games the meta verse is gone and most problems are solved (or dead) but if we put them all together in joker's biggest melting pot it'd be such a ride. All of them just low key scared of how many high ranking connections he has.
Like he just texts someone 'hi I think I know someone you'd like to know. I'm sending them to meet you.' and you're like okay??? I guess we'll see why?? And you round the corner and there's a politician and a previously famous missing teen detective waiting for you and they're here to help you get a restraining order on your stalker if you help predict a lottery number or two. And it just keeps happening. Sometimes you're the 'I know a guy' sent to meet people. Like how does joker even know this many people???? He's just moved here!!

I kinda see a pattern here
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
kids with powers who reached their breaking point when someone killed/kicked/ditched their comfort stray animal
so let's make it with saiki yayayayay I love pain
I'm actually writing something abt this but I have to talk with someone of this
Kusuo after all the akechi incident in a new town, new school, and a new twisted vision about how he just can't let people involve with him or else things will end up very fucked up
he takes his usual route from school to his house and he finds a stray cat, his thoughts are so sad and the kitty feels so lonely, ku doesn't have the heart to ignore him but he can't take him home because of his mom allergies
he makes a little house with cardboard boxes and some leafs for the kitty
he brings food and water for him everyday after school and he ends up getting attached
but one day he can't find the kitty, he can't hear his thoughts and he's so worried that he can't think a better way like using clairvoyance to search him
it's almost night and he couldn't find it so he just goes home
when he got home kusuke seems to be waiting for him, kusuo doesn't think much about that, he probably just ate his coffee jelly but he's not in the mood to fight for coffee now
and when he gets into the room he finds out why kusuke was waiting for him, he killed the kitty and its body is on kusuo's bed
obviously he's in shock and almost in tears, it's just kusuke's daily reminder that kusuo is someone who doesn't deserve anything good but still, it's too much, even for him
and idk I'm writing something better than this I swear😔 this is just the idea

The time passed, hours, days, weeks and months were all blurred in a weird fog and all was mixed together. Ren was laying on his bed looking at the ceiling thinking. His whole year in Sojiro Café and his friends, his Phantom Thieves… all those things changed him. His heart and mind were carrying the memories, all the scars, all the hope. Ren sighed with sadness. Something was hurting him inside. Akechi.
There were so many emotions, feelings and memories that his normal life and his room felt… wrong. Ren felt like a stranger in that "home". His room was filled with his favorite things and extremely well decorated but for first time it was not comfortable. It felt empty and off.
He closed his eyes and his chest felt heavy and tight.
His heart was telling him that it was time to leave, the time was passing again and the feeling was growing. Ren followed his wishes and he decided to leave his parents and home forever, he wanted to live by himself and spread his wings even if he didn't knew how to to fly. He was nostalgic for something or somewhere that he could't recognize until one day the answer appeared like a small light. He wanted to live a peaceful life.
He came back with Sojiro. Sojiro felt more like a father than his biological father who was just a shadow and never had any bond with Ren. He asked to work with him on the Café explaing him his wish to learn about coffee and live a peaceful and slow life. Sojiro warmly accepted and supported him. Ren was his son in his heart and he was grateful to have him again in his life.
Ren was enjoying learn more about coffee. The flavor of the beans. The acidity. The notes. The steps in every preparation. He found peace in his heart being a barista.
But one day, Ren was making a coffee when he noticed that he was still on autopilot mode. He was just functioning but not living, the peace he felt was wrong. Something was still hurting inside and bleeding. The coffee that he was preparing was burning but he still drank it. There was something speacial about mistakes, broken things, accidents, failures that make those things appealing and lovable even if they were not good, expected or perfect. Like Akechi was. Ren didn’t notice but a tear fell from his cheek and fell into his coffee. And then a full rain on his face fell in the mug. His coffee
was salty and burnt. The flavor of the grief.
Spring arrived, the flowers were blooming, the wind was warm and gentle like a soft caress, the sun was taking the coldness of winter away. That Saturday noon, Ren decided to close some minutes earlier to enjoy the evening in silence to clean while the sun was still filling the room with a tender light. Ren was washing the dishes when the door bell sounded. It was strange since the door said "Closed".
Ren took some seconds to turn around to apologize to the person and explain that the Café was already closed.
—I’m sorry we are already clos-
Ren words were cut. He tried to make a sound but nothing was coming out. His heart stopped for a second or two. It was Akechi. He was standing there next to the door with his usual fancy coat, smiling faintly at Ren, maybe he was embarrassed to be there or scared… or just he was not knowing what to say, feel and how to explain.
Ren hands lost their strength and he dropped a cup and it broke in pieces on the floor. His breathing was feeling heavier. Ren was paralyzed until he just rushed to Akechi side and he embraced him in a loving a desperate way. Ren was squeezing him, feeling his body, his scent, his heartbeat, his breathing… his life.
No questions were asked and no word were needed between them. Akechi hugged back even more tightly.
Ren's burnt coffee was the most perfect one. The most loved one. And he was hugging him again. His beloved Akechi.

I know nothing about Persona let alone Goro Akechi but after reading the bsf and yan profile post I want to give this man a hug (and my tits). His story seems so sad ;-; and he's so pretty and for what?? 💢
Honestly, as much as I enjoy genshin I never truly found it to have any meaningful or extremely well written characters (which is not a bad thing, I just can't take them seriously when they all look like that lmao). All credit to making me think twice about them goes to writers and artists in the fandom. So the change in content feels soooooo nice. Made me appreciate your writing in another way
I've heard about Persona a LOT for years, but I didn't have a huge drive to play it until your liveposting (p.s I love the LP so much) and especially the posts with that one insane policeman guy who is a loser (affectionate, also giving him my pussy). Any recs? 😅
HE IS MY BABY BOY you're so right he is so pretty 😖😖😖 Akechi is genuinely an excellently written character, and Persona 5 Royal is one of the few games I think fully deserves to be so hyped as it is.
Tbh I think the problem genshin and similar games has is that there's so many characters, you have to essentially go out of your way to dig into lore to get anything beyond surface level from them. This happens a lot in series with lots of characters — like with Danganronpa for example, your experience of a lot of characters completely changes upon playing their free time events. A lot of genshin characters get very little screen time on the main story, so all their characterization is in their quests, lines, and character profile content. Which to be fair, with a game of this nature that's kinda the only way to really do it, so, I'm just glad they give us that extra content tbh. I've played some gachas that would introduce new characters but give very little beyond a design and name which is kinda sad when you want to know more about the lil guy you're playing with.
But AAAAAAAAAAAAAA thank you so much anon I am going to ramble here, but I'll put a tl;dr at the bottom!
Soooo if you want to get into Persona, I'd recommend the series in a certain order with some notes. There's 5 main entries in the series and a lot of spinoffs.
A word of advice in general with marathoning a game series: with any series it's a good idea to play in order of chronological and thus technological progression, especially if you intend to play the series back to back, otherwise going from a more recent game to an older one can damper your experience due to the decrease in graphical quality, gameplay smoothness, and general content quantity.
However for this series, the ideal order to play really depends on the factors of 1) which version of Persona 3 you choose to play, and 2) if you want to play Persona 1 & 2.
Regarding Persona 1 and 2: These are some of those games where your enjoyment will strongly depend on whether or not you're a person who is okay with some of the frustrations, limitations and slowness/jankiness common to old games (they came out between 1996-1999). I know some people don't mind or see it as a sort of vintage charm, while others get very frustrated with that — if you're the latter, I'd recommend saving yourself the frustration and skipping them, but if you like old games or have a high tolerance for jankiness, you could start here. I will also say that, even amongst the vintage/90s games fan crowd, P2 is definitely more popular and considered better than P1. It's also much better on the aforementioned issues.
Also, unless you have an original PlayStation or PSP, you'll have to emulate these.
Regarding Persona 3: there's several versions — the original came out in like 2006, then there was a remake version called P3 FES which added an epilogue (which is being added to the recent remake soon anyway), then a PSP remake called Persona 3 Portable (which has ports on modern consoles), then the most recent remake, Persona 3 Reload, came out just a few months ago in 2024.
Obviously the newest remake has vastly improved graphics and added lots of gameplay content. However, one of the biggest differences is that P3 Portable had the option to play as a female protagonist — this altered a lot of aspects of the game and is exclusive to that version (which has disappointed a lot of people hoping she'd be in the 2024 remake), so you can't play as her if you play Reload (unless, I believe, you play PC, there's a volunteer team currently making a mod for her).
Personally, I bought P3 Reload, and couldn't get into it, so I dropped it. Then I bought P3P on a whim and LOVE it so far. Getting to play as the girl protagonist makes a massive difference in my opinion, and more than compensates for the older graphics/gameplay. It's not just the romance routes either, her dialogue options, interactions, music, and overall vibe is different enough that it changes the feel of the story.
It really depends on what you value more — 2024-tier visual quality/gameplay and the epilogue, versus the Female Protagonist experience, so just pick which you prefer.
For the order thing, if you choose to play P3P (or the original/FES for whatever reason), I'd start here, but if you want to play Reload, I'd play it either last or just before P5 Royal.
Moving on, Persona 4: Golden and Persona 5: Royal are both the definitive editions of their respective games. They're remakes of the originals with a lot of added content, and unlike Persona 3, there's no reason to play the older versions over these. Notably their themes/vibes are kinda opposite of each other (big city world-scale societal rebellion versus small rural town murder mystery), I wouldn't say either story is better or worse, they're not really comparable and more a matter of personal taste.
As for the stories, admittedly if you've read my posts, you've essentially already been spoiled on the identity of the killers, but honestly it's still worth experiencing the story, there's multiple big plot twists before and after the reveals regarding Akechi/Adachi.
I would play Persona 5 Royal last, largely because it's widely considered the best entry to the series and is by far the longest. However if you only intend to play one game, it should definitely be P5 Royal. The only real flaw to P5 is it's much easier than previous games.
From here, there's a few more spinoff games, whether or not you want to play them really just depends on if you enjoy the genre. There's a bit of lore in some of them but nothing critical.
Dancing All Night/Starlight/Moonlight - dancing rhythm games
Arena Ultimax - fighting game, acts as an epilogue to P3&4
Persona Q 1&2
These are Nintendo DS spinoffs with chibi style art. I haven't played these and admittedly don't know much about them, I think they're dungeon crawler genre? It's popular for the aspect of which it involves the characters of the different main games, so you get to see them interact with each other.
The downside is that these games are oddly expensive, I think because there weren't too many copies. I intend to get them eventually.
Persona 5 Tactica/Strikers:
These are P5 spinoffs that put the cast in alternate stories, strikers is the closest to a true sequel from my understanding, tactica is more of a dungeon-crawler. I didn't get them because Akechi isn't in strikers and is just minor dlc for tactica.
The Phantom X
This is upcoming I believe, it's going to be a mobile game with a new cast.
The TL;DR of my advice:
- Play P2 only if you're into vintage gaming
- Play P1 only if you're REALLY into vintage gaming
- Play Persona 3 Portable if you really value the female protagonist/male character romance experience, otherwise play Persona 3 Reload
- If you play the original Persona 3, FES, or P3 Portable: start with that, then P4 Golden, then P5 Royal
- If you play Persona 3 Reload: play P4 Golden FIRST, then both P5 Royal and P3 Reload in either order.
- Play the spinoffs just based on what type of games you like, if any.

HEHSJDNSHSHSHSHHSSHSHSH MAY I REQUEST GORO AKECHI AS A DAD TO A GIRL GIVING HER THE BEST LIFE HE CAN!?!?
I CAN JUST IMAGINE HOW BECOMING A FATHER WILL HEAL HIM SM FROM HIS DADDY ISSUES AND ALLOW HIM TO REALISE HOW PARENTS ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE THEIR KIDS AND HE NEVER DESERVED THE CHILDHOOD HE HAD 😭😭😭
Parenthood
Goro Akechi x reader
Warnings: Slight angst? idk if it counts
Word count: 216
Tumblr media
Goro wasn't sure about this. About any of this.
Him? A parent? you knew him better than anyone, yet you decided he would be a good parent?
he trusted you, of course, but he just couldn't shake the feeling that he would be a bad parent. And oh, he was scared. What if he was like him?
What if he was like Shido?
But somehow, magically, all of those thoughts were banished from his mind the moment he saw her.
His perfect little angle.
In those moments he knew he would give her the world.
The first time he held her solidified that even more.
He was smiling, brighter than he had in a while. You took pictures of the two, as Goro slowly rocked back and forth in the rocking chair, eyes trained on his baby girl. she was small, so small. It scared him, so much could happen to her, but at the same time it made his heart feel like it was about to burst.
He laughed at himself, that he ever thought he would be anything like the so called father he had.
the way his baby looked at him like he had brought them the stars and the sun filled his heart with something he hadn't felt in a while.
Joy.

hello mishima nation, i took a year long break from tumblr and have come back to promo my work.
think mishima is treated like absolute garbage in canon? think he deserves better? think he deserves to go a little bit apeshit (as a treat)?
then maybe you should read
people like us
my magnum opus, in which revenge is a love language.
96k (with some bonus content linked at the end), mishima/akechi, very canon-divergent.

All I Want For Christmas is Yu
Nanako wants nothing more than to see her big bro come home for Christmas. But unfortunately, that’s not happening.
But maybe the magic of Christmas can help…?
Countdown
Happy New Years from Toshiro and Takuto!
Cracks in the Stained Glass
Yusuke finds himself in Ueno, staring at that genuinely bright portrait being subjected to the harsh artificial brightness of the spotlight. It feels so hollow here, surrounded by other works of art and gawked at from afar rather than being the quiet fireplace it had been in LeBlanc. Yusuke wonders how long it had been there without him thinking anything more of it than the pedestrians stopping and passingly mentioning its beauty before moving on.
How easily he had fallen into the same blind contentment as Eve. Allowing Maruki to guide his thoughts as far back as October, easing him into the idea that he could be happy being so divorced from the art that inspired his career path like this
glory and gore
The Metaverse is amazing. She can move just as well as- no, even better than Kasumi. Feats that no human could ever actually pull off are possible in this world. She has power running through her veins and she can do anything.
And it’s the one thing that Kasumi doesn’t have.
A Leg Up
The Metaverse starts taking a toll on Ryuji’s leg.
make me feel something
Toshiro meets a strange man at a bar
Oh Captain, My Captain
Toshiro gets bullied into confessing his love for Eri by a 19 year old boy he met two minutes ago.
Operation: First Date
Yosuke wants to ask Labrys out on a date, there were just a couple hurdles for him to get through.
Really bad day in Mementos
A day where things go very, very poorly for the Phantom Thieves.
Prompt:
Characters getting afflicted with some of the weirder SMT status conditions such as Vamp, High, Drunk, Guilt, puppet, etc.
Red Alert!
Rise finally hits the button.
Self (in Approximation to Others)
All she’s ever wanted is to be loved the way that Kasumi has been. The way that’s been afforded to her for just existing in a way that Sumire was never good enough for. Not even good enough, just never enough to deserve.
“I know I don’t say it enough but that’s one of the reasons that I love you, Sumire.”
Her red bangs fall in front of her face and her glasses clang on the tile when she lowers her chin. Her jaw tightens and her hands ball into fists. She thinks she hears Akechi but she can’t understand a thing that he says. “Shut up.”
If you still want to have some fun, you can guess in the comments and tags of this post who contributed what!
Ground rules:
No guessing on the fics themselves, because it'll be awkward if you're wrong.
Be polite! If you don't have anything nice to say, you don't have to say anything at all!
If you can, comment on the fics themselves! They turned out great!
If you don't want to comment, share this post so others can see everyone's hard work
Authors will be revealed next week, so let's start off the year with some fun! Good luck!

Of course this enemy had Curse attacks.
Of fucking course it did.
Akechi braced himself against the incoming attack, dread forming a pit in his stomach. If he ended up on his ass, he’d be useless. He couldn’t be useless, he couldn’t face the disappointment of Shi-
There was the sound of impact, yet nothing hit him. He opened his eyes to see Sakamoto in front of him, assuming a protective stance.
“All good there, Crow?” He asked, voice tight. Was he in pain?
“I- I’m fine. Are you alright?”
In response, Sakamoto keeled forward, falling to his knees. Distantly, Takamaki summoned her Persona, doubtless to heal him.
All Akechi felt was worry. Terrible, cold worry chewed at him, screaming to check on Sakamoto, to ensure that he was okay-
Instead, he summoned Loki and blasted the Shadow to smithereens.
“Skull. How are you feeling?”
Akechi sat down beside Sakamoto, taking in whatever details he could. Sakamoto was cradling his left leg, holding it close to his chest. His eyes were tight, however hard he seemed to be trying to hide it.
“Eh. Been better. But also been worse.”
Sakamoto gave him an odd look then, and Akechi shifted his position beside him.
“...Thank you. For protecting me. You didn’t have to-”
“What good am I as a Phantom Thief if I can’t keep my teammates from getting hurt?”
Akechi stared at him.
Did he truly base his worth as a person on his usefulness?
“What good are you as a teammate if you are too hurt to do anything? If you want to be useful-” he put particular emphasis on that word, that terrible, poisonous word- “then start taking better care of yourself!”
Sakamoto fell silent, staring at the ground.
“Didn’t think ya cared, Crow,” he muttered, his voice gone of his usual joking demeanour.
“I care more than you think, Skull. I don’t want you, or Joker, or anyone to suffer the same as I. You all deserve better than to understand.”
Sakamoto looked up at him, and tilted his head. Akechi tried to ignore how it made the great attack dog resemble a puppy.
“I think I get it, though. I mean, we both have shitty dads, we both were used as some sorta effin’ puppet-” The venom in Sakamoto’s voice took Akechi by surprise. He had been used too...?
“We’re more alike than I thought, aren’t we...?” Akechi hated how small his voice was, how sad and weary he sounded. He hated the tremor in his voice.
“Guess so. Hey, wanna try again?”
“What do you mean?”
Sakamoto extended a hand, a smile on his face. “Ryuji Sakamoto. Nice to meet you.”
After recovering from his initial shock, Akechi took his hand, returned his smile. Tried to ignore how easy he found it.
“Goro Akechi. I hope we get along.”
i love akechi seeing himself in ryuji. the way he was hated but wanted to be worth something by just giving into other people's needs. they both want to be loved but they found terrible ways to do it. im in love with the idea that akechi wants to care for ryuji and vice versa because they see themselves in each other. they realize the other is making the mistakes they did and they want to protect each other.

hi! I noticed that aigis looks taller than minato in your drawings. might I ask about your height headcanons regarding SEES + Ryoji pretty please 🙏🙏 love all your doodles btw! akechi looks stunning in your art style. you have such a good feel for using expressions & colours to set a mood (sorry for my wacky english, good god)
oh anon I am so sorry it took me forever to get to this. I forgot this was in my inbox 😭 BUT YES I can give you my height headcanons.
Putting this under a cut bc I used hikaku sitatter to compare my headcanon heights months ago + my reasoning
Tumblr media
so I'll start out with the ones that didn't change from their canon heights: Yukari, Akihiko, Ken (he is a child and also I couldn't fit him on the chart. it was max 10 people unfortunately), and Koromaru (dog). For Yukari and Akihiko I feel like their canon heights suit them in my very biased opinion.
For Junpei: He just gives tall guy that just had a growth spurt and doesn't know what to do with the extra like 6cm he's acquired. so I went with his height that is canon for P4AU (177cm) instead of his P3 canon height (170.5cm).
For Mitsuru: Her canon height is actually 166cm, but I refuse to believe that. She's still shorter then the guys (excluding Minato) but she is their height by proxy because she always wears heels and boots. It adds to her aura I think.
For Aegis: she is physically a battle robot, built to fight supernatural beings born from the heart. and also her hooves. I actually always thought she was taller than average instead of 163cm just because she was a robot (I've played more P3P then P3fes so I always imagined her to be tall). She was built to be a protector and a tank. There is a lot of juxtaposition in her being a tall robot made of metal and her soft human heart underneath that. Also she needs to be taller than Kotone AND Minato. It's a requirement.
For Fuuka: she is canonically 150cm. I think I made her 154cm because I felt bad that she was so much shorter then everyone... she is still the shortest (not including Ken) but its a smaller gap.
For Shinjiro: his canon height is 177cm. I don't know why I made him 178cm. maybe because I felt he deserved to be at least 1cm taller than Junpei. But you can come to your own conclusions for this.
For Kotone: I never imagined her as being super tall but at least taller than Fuuka and Yukari. And she is a short menace but not a 160cm short menace to me. She stole 5cm from Minato as comeuppance. Also I think it's funny when Minato and Kotone are the same height. not because of the twin headcanon but just because
For Minato: Kotone stole 5cm. and he needs to be shorter than Aegis or its Incorrect. Also considering how inconsistent P3 character heights are displayed (looking at you P3DAN) I kind of default to the way Sogabe draws Minato. Tiny.
And for special-est boy Ryoji: as far as I know I have never found a canon height for Ryoji (which is fine) and I often go off vibes for character heights anyway + I used screenshots from the P3 movies just to get a general idea of Ryoji's possible height. which is probably about 180cm to Minato's canon 170cm (for the movies). I thought it was funny if I kept Ryoji the same (approximate) height despite making Minato shorter. Also there's something endearing about Ryoji being ridiculously tall AND taller than the rest of SEES. godspeed to him. he has probably knocked his head on plenty of doorframes in the span of two months.
And that's all!!! again sorry for taking so long to get to this anon I love getting asks like this but the executive disfunction sometimes makes me forget that people actually send me asks. I'll do better next time o7

P5 Until Dawn AU
Tumblr media
"O Death, O Death... Won't you spare me over 'til another year?"
Inspiration struck upon remembering this gem of a game (took me a bit to save EVERYONE though!!)! Before I start, some notes to keep in mind:
*Character personalities are primarily determined by player choices in the game generally so as a result the P5 Cast will STAY as their respective canon characterizations.
**Given that you can have the whole main cast survive, this will be based on a no-death run except for characters that do die no matter your choices (Ex: Beth, Flamethrower Guy)
***Some story beats will be changed to better accommodate the characters and their personalities... That and small canon complaints (Josh deserved better... Forever bitter about that)
Now let's dive in
Tumblr media
Characters and traits:
Kasumi Yoshizawa
Protective, Passionate, Cheerful
Sumire Yoshizawa
Shy, Trusting, Dreamer
Ren Amamiya
Caring, Adventurous, Resourceful
Ryuji Sakamoto
Loyal, Empathetic, Humorous
Ann Takamaki
Bold, Peppy, Playful
Yusuke Kitagawa
Eccentric, Creative, Blunt
Makoto Niijima
Studious, Brash, Thoughtful
Futaba Sakura
Intelligent, Introverted, Mischievous
Haru Okumura
Ambitious, Loving, Strong
Goro Akechi (Adoptive Brother of the sisters and the oldest)
Complex, Withdrawn, Motivated
Zenkichi Hasegawa
Driven, Inquisitive, Rational
Akane Hasegawa
Rash, Impulsive, Childish
Sophia Amamiya
Curious, Bubbly, Innocent
****I couldn’t figure out a role for Sophia now matter how hard I tried so her being a little sibling to Ren it is!
Others:
Flamethrower Guy- Iwai (Sadly doesn’t survive the story, his motivation for hunting Wendigos is tied to Kaoru though)
Dr. Hill- Dr. Maruki (Starts out patient and empathetic but then grows more unhinged and assertive as the story progresses)
Other Plot Info:
+Zenkichi was hired by the Yoshizawas to investigate the disappearance of the twins on the side along with chaperoning due to his occupation and being a family friend (he was passed out drunk with Akechi at the time of the incident and wants to make up for his mistake). He decides to bring Akane with him in an attempt to bond with her before she enters High School (Aoi is still dead).
+Potential Pairings- PegoRyu and YuMako
Full Plotline still a W.I.P. but so far:
-Akechi was an orphan who was adopted by the Yoshizawas, he immediately grew attached and protective of his new sisters (which naturally becomes warped due to grief)
-Sumire develops a crush on Ren when she gets introduced to the group, he sadly doesn’t return them and sees her as a close friend. Like Hannah, she gets a tattoo of a butterfly at one point.
-As previously mentioned, Zenkichi is a family friend and would often join their getaways with Aoi and Akane until the former’s passing and the latter growing distant from him. After that he mostly chaperones.
Prologue- One Year Ago
-The context for this particular getaway is celebrating Haru, Akechi, and Makoto graduating High School with the others entering either their 2nd or 3rd years.
-The prank is given slightly different context but still not good at all. It’s not out of any pettiness or spite but they thought it would be “funny” somehow (they quickly learn that it really wasn’t and are quick to feel ashamed).
-Ren actually starts to have second thoughts about it and was going to try to stop Sumire but the others give themselves away before he could. Sumire naturally feels upset and betrayed as she impulsively runs off.
-Kasumi meanwhile, catches wind of something being up and briefly sees Sumire run by through a window. She tries to wake a passed out Akechi and Zenkichi but fails, prompting her to investigate.
-The others head out the door, calling after her in concern. Kasumi questions them and when they admit what they did, she gets furious with them and goes to find her sister (they briefly consider going after both of them but feel like that they were the last people they’d want to see (Sumire especially))
-Fast forward to Kasumi finding Sumire, they hear a loud noise and run for it. They get cornered at the end of a cliff and slip, Kasumi being able to grab a branch and catch Sumire.
-A strange person looks down at them, appearing to reach for them. Kasumi panics and lets go, both girls falling into the cave below.
One year later and the real story starts:
Dr. Maruki: So, you have committed to commence with this 'game'. This is significant. And I want to help you see it through. Sometimes... Sometimes these things can be a little scary... Even terrifying... But I am here to make sure that no matter how upsetting things may get, you'll always find a way to work through it.

That's about it so far guys! I'll admit I had a lot of fun with this one!

I remember there was this post somewhere on Twitter or Facebook saying how this guy got into an argument with his wife and his bento is just rice and seaweed spelling the word “Baka”. But upon digging he discovered all of his favorite food hidden underneath the rice.
How would Nobunaga, Mitsuhide, Masamune, Shingen and Kenshin react to be in the same situation
This is so cute!! Thank you for the request.
After an argument, how MC makes his bento.
Oda forces.
Nobunaga Oda.
Nobunaga was currently receiving the silent treatment, the argument was really silly, but he didn’t know how to apologize properly, given how prideful he could be. You didn’t want to talk to him, but still wanted to make his lunch for the day. You couldn’t truly negligence him of his favorite food, but was still angry from the argument.
Nobunaga received his lunch that was made you from a vassal during a war council. Pretty much everyone was surprised by the “idiot” written on top of just rice and seaweed. He will feel dumbfounded and sulk as he uses his chopsticks to move the rice.
His eyes will shine, however, when he sees all of his favorite food underneath. A smile will appear on his face and he will eat everything. Later, Nobunaga will ask (beg) for forgiveness.
Mitsuhide Akechi.
It was rare for you two to argue, as surprising as it sounds. Though that is only because Mitsuhide tries to distract you with something else before an argument starts. But when it does happen, it’s usually when you talk to him about his safety and how he puts his life on the line far too many times during work.
You would never stop to argue about this with him about this, which clearly made you angry that he would take better care of himself. To teach him a lesson, you made his favorites but hid them underneath rice and wrote “stupid” on top.
This punishment can be a bit tricky, since Mitsuhide usually doesn’t care much about food, specially since he can’t taste it properly. His favorites would only be the same dishes that you like. It won’t work much, since he will be smirking and finding you adorable after this little punishment.
Masamune Date.
You two usually don’t argue, but there are times when your way of thinking can differ, which causes arguments from time to time. You were angry at him because of an upcoming war, he didn’t allow you to help because this war could be big and unpredictable.
He only wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t lose you in it, but you still wanted to help. Out of anger, you decided to make his food, but you didn’t want him to only eat rice. You secretly made his favorites and hid underneath with the word “jerk” written on it.
He will feel bummed when he sees his place, just a whole mountain of rice, huh..? Guess he deserved it, he was harsh when stopping you from going to this war. When he moved the dish with his chopsticks, he found all the food he loves. Masamune will smile widely and give you a big hug and kiss.
Uesugi-Takeda alliance.
Kenshin Uesugi.
It’s not exactly arguments, but it happens often. Kenshin is still insecure about a lot of things when it comes to love, he will be overprotective and jealous of others for a long time. There was still a storm inside his head that holds the nightmares of the past and it would take a while for those to go away. You were always trying to reassure him that everything was ok, but it’s not that simple.
You were angry because he was a bit too overprotective and was being stubborn. You prepared his meal with a pout, you hid his pickled plums underneath rice with the word “idiot” on top. This will make kenshin sad and blame himself for it, he hated making you upset or angry.
Kenshin will eventually find his pickled plums, which will not only brighten his day, it will make him go straight towards you to apologize (he might do it on his knees).
Shingen Takeda.
Again, very rare for you two to argue, shingen always tries avoiding it. The reason for this argument will be very silly, it’s regarding him eating too much sugar. You worry that he might get sick from eating too many sweets and could potentially damage his teeth. He naturally tries to reassure you while flirting with you.
It will only make you angrier, and now shingen is in for trouble. He will do everything he can to apologize and make you less angry, but he wasn’t getting far since he was hesitant about parting with his loving sweets.
You made his favorites, sea food. But because of the argument, you will hide it with rice and bitter food on top. He will frown and act like a kid who doesn’t want his vegetables. However, his face will brighten up fast when he sees his favorites underneath, he will promise to never eat sweets for a whole month (even if it’s painful.)

No cause this was such a Crucial moment for akechi's characters too me because like
It confirms him and Joker really did have just a normal relationship
it makes the fact he never realized shido was using him so much more sad T_T??
And why he was so so against maruki
He doesn't want his friend get manipulated! and he now understands all to well that it's not always easy to see or accept when you are
( also hope you've been enjoying p5t :D I just finished it and I'm over the moon in love with it)
!!! Yeah, pretty much! I've always been on team: they may have been lying to each other, but the bond itself and how they felt about it was never a lie, despite how they may wish they felt about it. And yeah... it really sucks that he was self-aware enough to know how much he hates this, yet blinded to it all the same. And how likely it still left him in even fouler moods overall, on top of everything else. Poor guy. I know we all crave that post-royal content, but seriously, I would just love to see an Akechi where he understands himself better and can finally stand on his own and figure things without having to constantly be in survival mode. He deserves that chance to really live. It will forever break my heart that he says "I feel so alive!" in his third awakening, on the night that he's essentially sentenced to death.
And thanks!! I'm glad you've gotten so much out of it! I'm taking my time with it, mostly just playing between work assignments so I don't lose my sanity from my day job lmao
