Of all the difficult choices in each season of TWDG, What would say are the ones that you struggled with the most for each season?

HMM good question. there are some choices i feel conflicted about when i get to them but these are for the most part the ones that i actively dread having to make (which i like 😏 those are the best choices). there are other choices throughout the series that i feel Bad about, but not necessarily conflicted. like. i Know what my choice is, but i still feel bad about the consequences 😔 these are the ones that i actually mentally find myself battling. i just love the kinds of choices that make me sit on a pause screen for too long when its really Not That Serious

S1: help lilly/help kenny - the circumstances of this choice are what make it hard. literally a ticking time bomb. do you try to save lillys father? even tho hes been nothing but a complete jackass to you AND the group this entire time and put himself in this situation? or do you try to save the group by destroying his brain before its too late? clem being there watching doesnt help because now theres the added layer of "do i brutally murder this man in front of this child even if it means saving her life?" i usually end up trying to help lilly just because i know kenny is gonna do it regardless (and i dont want her to feel completely ostracized by the group). the idea of puling this woman back from her dying father so we can brutally murder him in front of her is.... a lot. like.. you can TRY to save him you know?? even if he turns hed still have to get off the ground first just hold the salt lick ready kenny 💀 plus you still have to actually Die first before turning. theyd have a second to feel his pulse stop. but its a very hectic scene where youre forced to act first think later. and either way clem is forced to see it. the worst part about it is knowing kenny is gonna be on my ass about it even tho i side with him on LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE 😐😑

shoot lee/leave lee - its just 😭 telling this little girl to kill the one person she has left, moments after seeing her dead parents. its time for her to start doing the hard things. but to tell her to do THIS?? you are fucking that child up beyond belief. but also the guilt she'll carry if she DOESNT do it, knowing hes still in that jewelry store, possibly chained to it, forever (which the narrative impact of lee starting and ending the game in handcuffs (possibly a prisoner in his own body??) makes me SCREAM AND CRY LEEEEEEEEEEE THATS GOOD NARRATIVE BAYBEE).

S2: shoot kenny/look away - another "is clem ready to do this?" kind of moment. its time for her to start making her own choices. what does SHE want?? i think even a clem who shoots kenny is gonna be conflicted about it on some level. recently i played a clem who let kenny kill jane then shot him anyway. that was cool :) and the moment is way more dark than shooting him outright. no heartfelt goodbyes. just a tired "do it". oof. the set up for the kenny/jane fight is Not Good like we ALLLLLL KNOOWWW it shouldve been luke ok. but the choice itself is still a HUGE character moment for clem, and its one of my favorite and most dreaded choices in the series. how is clem feeling about kenny at this point? is shooting him something she can do?? before its too late?? or will she be paralyzed by choice? this is a choice she Never shouldve had to make, but here she is, and she has to. before time runs out. i like my clems alone so usually i either wait out the clock (no choice is still a choice. clem just cant do it but cant look away either) and stay at wellington (good alone ending), or i shoot him 1 of 2 ways (clem Can do it)(bad alone ending). shooting him after he kills jane is just like 2 birds one stone to me SHDHSJKDS 💀 and it hits that middle ground of being paralyzed by choice but still ultimately Making A Choice, just too late for it to matter to anyone but herself. and her line of dialogue finding aj alone "we're gonna be ok, we're gonna be ok" like shes trying to reassure herself more than anything WAAAHH i kinda liked it a Lot actually 👀

S3: ??? romancing kate or not i guess?? - its the only one that really made me feel conflicted (aside from maybe the conrad thing?? sorry clem but im gonna force you to stick around actually i like it for the Narrative and it makes gabe less annoying later. also conrads alright). do you respect your brother or do you get with his wife who hates him LOL. because its not one choice you make, not really. its one the game is constantly asking of you, putting you in situations where the choice needs to be made again and again until finally you make the Ultimate choice about it. people who complain about the game being so pushy about it are kinda funny to me because like, ya.. thats the whole point.... (ive pushed back defiantly Literally just because of how pushy the game is about it tho so like i get it) she is a temptation the game is intentionally dangling in front of javi. she is the Final source of conflict between the brothers. will he remain loyal or give into it? i say give in 😏 give david something to actually be mad about. ive both romanced her and not, and the game kinda feels stunted if you dont? like... i Get It. thats your brothers wife who is still wearing her ring after YEARS of him being gone. theres 😬 feelings there. but even if you dont romance her the game still punishes you by having her be weird about it in the garage in front of david anyway. i say do it even tho its messy. it makes the story more sound imo which S3 desperately needs at that point. javi can still feel bad about it. what DID david expect?? i love mess :)

S4: kill couple/send aj inside - i love a choice that gives me a lot to think about. even if the actual in game consequences are flimsy to none. with this choice specifically, what makes it hard is the fact that the couple asked to be left alone. if they were just two walkers it wouldve been a no brainer. but with their final request, it becomes a matter of respecting the dying wish of this sad couple (which becomes narratively relevant at the end of the game OUGH WHEN IT COMES BACK). and will you teach aj that respecting those wishes is important? he needs to learn to become self sufficient anyway. clem crawled through her own number of dangerous holes in her youth. but thats the other side of it. that clem, knowing personally how dangerous crawling into those spaces where no one could follow was, i dont know how comfortable she would be letting aj do the same. but also, she doesnt want him to grow up too hardened. if she kills this couple, its pushing him further into that hardened mindset. to do whatever you have to to survive, no matter the cost to others. its a choice i find myself sitting with the longest even tho its consequences are pretty much just 2 lines of dialogue ("that couple clem tried to Guilt me about" LMAO YEAH ITS TRUE AJ THIS IS A LEARNING MOMENT FOR YOU). but yeah this is a choice i have a 50/50 chance with going either way on. every time i kill the couple i feel so bad about it 😭 (and so does clem 🥺). it being more of a philosophical question instead of an actual gameplay decision is what i like about it

not sure/take things slow/girlfriends/kiss - NOT JOKING ABOUT THIS ONE its actually so hard for me HSDHSDJKSJKDJK i dont have a paragraph of reasons why tho i just love them all differently. the first two feel the most realistic. i do like the idea of taking things slow and the dialogue for it is really sweet. but also. they might die or be taken tonight. so one kiss before everything could come crashing down on them is nice. but also hearing them call each other girlfriends???? adds years to my life. vi in ep 3 being like "um so you said you wanted to be girlfriends 🥺?" and clem like "😏 ya" i just love hearing them say it 😭 Out Loud 👁👁. and then either way clem gets another chance to kiss her in the woods in ep 3 so it works out. and 2 more kisses in ep 4 from vi this time!! thank you devs for my life 🙏 what a wonderful choice

i love choice games so much just because of the questions they ask of you. i honestly LOVE looking through the player choice stats i find them SO INTERERSTING ESPECIALLY the ones that are split perfectly 50/50. i would literally look at the stats for every single choice im not joking. where are the stats

thoughts on simulacra stories, change in mc's lore and aesperia's main story skip

im late on this one probably (and this is more of a ramble) but i created a new acc yesterday and said a lot of wtfs to the changes made in the first part of aesperia's mq (im currently otw to banges).

i mean i did like that shirli accompanied us from the start of waking up till the end of exploring the ruins cuz' 1. more shirli time helps establish a bond between her and mc, 2. zekes initial reaction to shirli disobeying fits in the scene better now

tbh i did miss the part where we fly up the sky and shoot a plane/skyship(?) down during the assault cuz i thought that was cool, and i liked it better when franz didnt straight up say zeke is connected to the heirs and he didnt almost spill what time retracement was all about- LIKE, FRANZ SHOULDVE STAYED AS A DISCRETE/SECRETIVE CHARACTER WHO KNOWS MORE THAN WHAT HE LETS ON

and i think it disrupts mc's lore a bit cuz in the old version we had gone through our first time retracement there in hykros and have realized with the second one in claire's quest that mc is currently the only one in the game who isnt affected by time retracement/remembers the past timelines, (mc's connection to time retracement is important i feel) pointing out the motifs here

i also noticed that they added more emphasis on the mystery of mc's identity with shirli continously questioning it and franz (and elric probably) having his suspicions(?) i like that they changed "mc being part of district 9" to "mc being part of an unknown district but will work with district 9 for now"

defintely making a seperate post to ramble about mc's lore more

i started spewing extra wtfs in the events afterwards, CUZ SERIOUSLY WHAT. it felt like i got hit with a pan after that dialogue with franz about uploading the memories 😭 then all of a sudden im going to vera, LIKE WHAT IN THE AIDA IS GOING ON.

i did realize eventually that the story was skipped for some reason, so i watched a vid the next day to get it cleared up. this change was terrible really 😭 maybe convinient for some older players (who like me, intended to get things done quick upon creating a new acc) but not for newcomers, cuz it ruins the flow of the story and the surprise of entering new places gradually.

its a better experience to slowly connect with characters as the journey progresses instead of suddenly meeting a bunch of em in the middle of the desert like "am i suppose to know who you are already??"

(ALSO THEY REMOVED COBALT B FROM THE START AND FRANZ GAVE US THE VEHICLE INSTEAD NOOO. this contradicts her simulacra side story, as it was emphasized there that they had met before and we meet her again in mirroria)

speaking of which, i feel that the simulacra stories shouldve been integrated into the main story instead of it being on the side for players to come back later (ig i just enjoy lining up the plot in order instead of it being out of sequence)

yes i understand that the mq would take longer if they did that BUT THE FUTURE INTERACTIONS WITH CHARACTERS WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE/FEEL NATURAL

like something twitches in my brain when i think about how much i love the reunion of shirli and zeke but realize its a side story LIKE WHY. THE REASON MC ACCOMPANIED SHIRLI ON THIS TRIP WAS CUZ THEY NEEDED TO FIND THIS MAN AND DRAG HIS ASS BACK TO ASTRA AND YOURE TELLING ME ITS A MF SIDE STORY 😭 I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE POINT OF THE PLOT.

also is it just me or the simulacra stories have better "atmosphere/mood" than the mq? like i love the camera shots and angles during dialouge sequences and cutscenes, and mc seems to have more reactions/personality? i need more of them 😔💚 and i will continue to ramble on a different post.

spiderverse opinions (SPOILERS!)

hobie shouldve been a woman (i thought he was a woman until i heard his voice, bc i saw fanart and clips from the movie before i saw it) but he was still my fav anyways.

the female characters suck. they are- mom, love interest, assistant, and motorcycle lady? i liked her but idk.. if you took her out the movie wouldnt change that much.. like all her roles couldve been done by peter or miguel. also shes pregnant at the start?? dont know what that was about

i didnt like miguel at all. he seemed like a really basic and boring character which sucks because he seemed so cool in the first fight. lots of people love him tho so idk if its bad writing or if im just a hater

random troon flags was stupid as fuck

the animation was amazing esp with the da vinci vulture and hobie and it was all fantastic. so many talented artists worked on this movie and it showed!!

hated ben riley, seemed like he was a kids joke in a teens movie. like teen titans go in a otherwise serious movie. he looked so cool tho. idk if this is some inside joke im not getting cause idk spiderman at all lol

spiderman india was cool as fuck! loved his animation, design, voice acting! damsel in distress thing sucked but im being a radfem hater again

SO LONG. AND IT ENDED LIKE THAT? bruh.

that being said i loved miles prowler. i know hes gonna be my fav in the next one.

Im boutta get dragged so hard for this, especially since ive been rooting for her in the popularity contest, but Nemesis. I don't hate her I just like the other GUMIs better than her 😭

Keel. Again, not because I dislike him I just feel he's the most forgettable.

see the problem here is favorite character & character i think about the most are not actually synonymous since my brain will switch character focus every few months. HOWEVER for favorite favorite character i gotta say jinbe my beloved 💕 literally the man ever he is SO cool like. dude . dude. also definitely one of the one piece character designs of all time

as far as the characters who have set up shop in my brain and refused to leave recently, its been sengoku & cora. i cannot explain this nor give you an actual reason why other than "i saw a really cute fanart and then i was like. wow . this is something that shouldve been explored" and then my brain refused to move on 😔

i feel like we, as a fandom, deeply sleep on the old people trio (garp, sengoku, tsuru). theres something very extremely funny about ok. see like usually in the golden trio format theres the main guy, the 2nd guy who kind of follows main guy's lead, both of them being kind of dumb, and the girl who holds the braincell.

but the thing is Both sengoku and tsuru are the braincell. how did this happen. why are they friends with garp. this has gotta be a luffy thing like he looked at them and was like "You Are Now My Friends" and there was no escape after that. alternatively they bailed garp out One Time, purely out of pity, and he assumed they were besties after that and never let it go. at least half of tsuru & sengoku's early marineship was just doing damage control while garp ran around setting everything in a 50 ft radius on fire and LORD I WANT TO SEE IT !!!!!!!!

Yayyy rewatching BB ep 1 (1/4)

(I'm doing it in parts for the whole ep bc I never stfu)

- I never realized the music score for the black screen before the running was so intense like damn, way to set up the clownery for us all

- I love the way Wai runs like🚶‍♂️but Korn & Co. run like 🏃‍♂️ skdjaksjakd

- whoever scouted the tiger graffiti location to introduce Pat needs a raise periodt

- "let's fight fair if you dare" oh shut it, you, you threw the damn gauntlet!

- "no. we won't hurt you." I should've listened, Korn never hurt us 🥺 he told us since the beginning 😔

- gods, I love how Pat is presented in the intro cuz he's so diff from Pat the "green walking flag" like dude looked like a fucking menace 😨 That is how you introduce a character.

- will I ever get over how pran was introduced? No. Never. THAT IS HOW YOU INTRODUCE A FUCKING CHATACTER! HIS ACTIONS SPEAK FOR THEMSELF!

- I love how their fights actually...look like fights??? Fkdhskdjsk I mean a fight ain't a fight unless there's some kicking in the chest amiright? 👀

- Wai going after Pat when he was distracted shouldve been my first red flag 🥺 fkdhskjakaba

- I LOVE how the noise sounds muffled like wearing earmuffs as Pat tries to reorient himself. It's almost like he's underwater and that kick jolted him to get that fresh breath of air after being submerged for so long 🥺🥺🥺😭😭 or whatever idk

- I can't stop thinking of that one Tumblr post that mentioned how Pat wearing the headphones and drumming on his legs was a way for him to be quiet so Pran could study cuz he knew that his window was open and he closed the window to be even more quiet but pran shut his curtains bc he didn't want to look at Pat cuz crush reasons fkdhsksjaks I fucking can't

- man, the dad be spreading lies to his son since birth broooo

- "this guy with the fierce eyes" 👀👀👀 why you gazing into your enemy's eyes pran? Hmmm???

- I mean I already sensed something more coming from pran's mom and Pat's dad but to rewatch pran say "doesn't he look like a cheater like my mom said?" and then immediately get shown pran's dad arguing with Pat's dad was like whiplash like I wonder what pran's dad kept thinking the entire time *sigh* I heard in the book pran's dad was more active in his role and was actually funny so *sigh*

- I like how Pat summarized the ultimate reason why he and pran were enemies in one sentence (bid-rigging) and like that shit was never remembered throughout the rest of the show til ep10 when Chai said "oh yeah no it wasn't that" dkshskwkwej talk abt the ultimate play

- So much character dynamic in this convo btwn pran and his friends I LOVE IT! AAHHH!

- also isn't it interesting how pran set up his boundary saying "no don't get me involved I've got shit to do" but in later eps pran doesn't have that boundary anymore? I mean yeah, it could be just wai's manipulation tactics but idk...it's quite interesting 🤷‍♂️

- "let your guard down and they'll finish you" well he certainly knows how that goes now, doesn't he? Pran??? 👀👀👀👀

- I LOVE the location of the Eng group table aaahh idk why but it's such a cute little nook and then there's a drink stall right there ahhhh it's nice

- the way that Pat IMMEDIATELY thinks of evasion tactics when he understands that Pran is getting involved in their messy business like he in Activated Protection Mode without missing a single beat! (And that's after 3 years 😭😭😭🥺🥺) (ofc the way ohm is such a good actor too, showing so much but saying so little)

- I LOVE the family dynamic is shown at the dinner table aaahhh so fucking symbolic I just- 😤😤

- "it wasn't as difficult as you thought" fbdkdjs that is the only sentence needed to summarize Pat and his dad's entire relationship dynamic and it lowkey makes me sad with what I know now

- okay on the subs the dad called Pat "tiger" - *thinks of graffiti* coincidence? I think not....ofc...this is p'aof we're talking abt dlshdkssjks

- I love how they talk abt them being class presidents, both for themselves and how their parents react to it - Ming has expectations (with bragging rights) while Pat is nonchalant, thinking it was going to be more than what was told "oh the seniors chose me" then there's Pran's dad concerned abt the work load while Pran understands the expectations and wants to manage them "oh my friends chose me so I gotta" aaahhh

- "hot as always" BRO I CANT BELIEVE I REALLY THOUGHT PAA WAS GON HAVE A CRUSH ON PRAN OMGGG THE ONE TIME I AM SO HAPPY TO BE OH SO WRONGGG BLESS 🙏😭

- "stay away from him. It's not worth it. (...) man that ending sucked. plus the whole "the mold was discovered before the flower & umbrellas logo is some weird ancient romanian symbol" part was just fucking dumb. this was like watching the star wars sequels the level of like, bullshittery.

like... im actually blown away by how stupid it is.

so... spencer, the creator of the zombies, knew some lady that was magic(???) and was conducting her own experiments and never mentioned her or cared that she was doing that. even though the other 2 people who tried to do experiments like his he had killed. she was cool?

plus he doesnt want to experiment with this weird mold that seemed WAY more powerful than the flower he got? huh??? theres a part in the resident evil lore where he goes FIVE YEARS trying to get this flower to do shit amd he never thought about the magic mold this lady had???

they shouldve just had the mold be discovered around the flowers, she never met spencer but maybe was inspired by him??, and boom. fixed. just completely take out all the umbrella shit bc that was legit so retarded my iq dropped white watching it. that modern ass logo was not an ancient european symbol.

and the bomb part???? what??? why didnt they just nuke the village like, from the start... thats what they did to raccoon city which had a ton more people and infrastructure than some village in the middle of nowhere. like what would the consequences of that be?? "damn a baby died"? okay who tf cares. the us military has done way worse shit than that in re canon.

everything with ethan made me want to rip my hair out. hes dead the whole time?? fucking really??? dont writers get taught that thats the shittiest possible twist possible? he just happened to be the perfect mold man??? what?????

last complaint (for now at least) was that heisenburgs fight and death and everything around it (and him in general honestly) was such a missed opportunity. hes a badass magneto man with so much possibility and his boss fight is.... he turns into a giant metal monster. and you fight him in a tank chris redfield pulls out of nowhere. WHAT? not all of the bosses have to turn into monsters! he couldve been cool as fuck on his own! plus its like super established he has metal bending powers but vs a METAL tank using METAL ammunition he fucking dies??? HUH???????? HELLO???

overall this game was weird and disappointing and i hate more things than like about it.

maybe not the worst resident evil game bc i hate 7 so much. plus ive never seen anything about any of the side games (revelations, code veronica, the ds ones) so i dont know if those are worse but man. had high hopes that the ending would make up for the parts i hated 😔
